As an update to an earlier complaint, I began class on July 11 and more than a month later, I still have not received my Graduate Plus Loan funds. Student services (as there is no real financial aid office) kept giving me a multitude of excuses, none of them resulting in my loan being disbursed. I made them aware that an eviction letter had been issued to me and nothing resulted. I have recently been made aware of a legal action that a firm is taking against GCU. Apparently, I am not the only Doctoral candidate who has had these issues. This unnecessary stress is unfair to someone writing the remainder of their dissertation, but things have a way of evening out. Buyer beware.

As stated multiple times previously, I've been in the Doctoral program since 2019. My aid is consistently 2, 3 and now currently more than FOUR weeks late. I have faced eviction for more than two weeks now. What excuse can I come up with now to tell my landlord? My school won't disburse my Grad Plus Loan? This is ridiculous for someone trying to close out the final Chapter of his Dissertation. The treatment that Doctoral students receive at this school is unbecoming of a Christian University and it now does not surprise me that a litany of legal actions have been taken against the school.

I've been enrolled as a Doctoral student at GCU since 2019. Every single aid cycle, it's like visiting the dentist simply to get my Graduate Plus Loan disbursed. Two, three and sometimes four or more weeks after enrollment and the loan monies still would not be distributed to me...
