So, my reservation was from 9/22/23-9/23/23.

My sister had reserved the room as a gift for my son’s birthday and our mother’s birthday. I arrived around 1:50pm so I can at least have my son a little more water time. Took me over 2 hours to get checked in because my sister had booked it as the guest being me but the credit card was hers and we didnt have it physically. She had filled out the credit card authorization the night before the reservation so we thought it should be okay since they had already taken the deposit from her credit.

First, the receptionist said no, because the credit card authorization had to be done 72 hrs in advance. i asked her to locate where on the website does it say that? Because I looked all over the place and didn’t see that. She said I would have to cancel and place a new reservation with my creditcard. i told her.. wouldn’t that defeat the purpose of this trip? I came here as a gift and I would have to pay out of my own pocket and try and get it reimbursed in cash by my sister?

Called their corporate company number and spoke with a representative and she didnt understand why that wouldnt let me check in. So she had called the resort and place me in a 3way call.

I spoke to the resort representative and back and forth we conversed and she said specificcally, oh we you had called before your arrival we can make a one time accommodation. I said to her… excuse me.. my checkin is at 4. Its 2… it is STILL prior to my check in. She went back to her manager and spoke to the manager.

Manager approved.

No sorry, no nothing.

I went back inside and now waited another 30 minutes on the line to checkin. Spoke with the desk. Went to the manager because they didnt leave any notes.. came back later and checked me in. This is now 1hr 50mins since i arrived.

Okay.. so after all that we got ready and went to the water park..

30minutes in i see a small rash on my so . Also saw couple other kids and adults with the same looking rashes.

that night my son had rashes all over his body.

Their life jackets are DIRTY. Something is wrong there.

Their facility is small as hell and fit toooo many people at once. Safety is my major concern.

We decided not to go back to the water the next day.

Desired outcome: Want compensation for waste of time
