Registration discrimination
If GunBroker.com had a decent customer service department it might be a good company, but it doesn’t. I wanted to bid on a Springfield M1A, so I registered. It was approved, and then it was disapproved. My contact information was “invalid.” I rechecked what I had entered and it was correct, so I sent a note to customer service asking for assistance. Nine hours later they replied that my contact information was “invalid.” With only three hours left for the auction I replied again that my info was correct and provided address and phone number. 24 hours later I sent another note. Three days later they replied that “General Delivery” was not a valid address. I notified customer service that “General Delivery” was the only mail service available for my area. There is no delivery to houses for thousands of people here and the wait list for PO Boxes is more than a year. My driver's license shows General Delivery, my credit cards are registered here, and my eBay and PayPal are registered here. Their next reply was that they can’t verify my address and Hawaii is not a gun friendly state. And if I can get a gun dealer to vouch for me and provide their license number, then GunBroker won’t report me to BATFE to investigate. All the other companies I deal with verified my address, including GunsAmerica, so I’m keeping my business there. Now I’m not surprised that GunBroker.com is rated “F” by BBB.

Fraud
Zero customer service/support. I am a small FFL gunsmith shop owner in Maine and supplement my income by doing gunsmithing work and consignment sales. GunBroker.com works great when honorable people deal with one-another, but, when a nasty drunken fool from Florida wins four of my firearms I turned to gunbroker's customer support system for some help in dealing with him and got nothing. My one and only response was a canned response to follow gunbroker's vague and open-ended "Non-Paying Bidder Report" flow chart. After 55 days of dealing with the drunken and belligerent fool in Florida I left feedback on him to warn others and he left retaliation feedback against me and gunbroker's computer locked my account. I'll be contacting appropriate authorities about gunbroker's apparent requirement that belligerent alcoholics be sold firearms.

You should have followed the Non-Paying bidder process to the letter. For each transaction. Send a payment reminder. 10 days later file a non-paying bidder report. Re-list the item. Leave Negative feedback. Once a non-paying bidder report is filed, the buyer cannot leave feedback on the transaction.
I have been a gun broker member for about 3 years. I've had mixed experiences lately. Most have been ok but the last few not so much. I won a pair of grips, they came fast but did not fit the gun he said they were for and the guy would not refund them. I also bought a pistol that the ad said functioned and after shipping and ffl fee, the pistol was junk and had a bunch of broken parts, nothing was done. I had a guy sell me a sheath and knife, ship them to me and I received them, then he said I didn't pay for the sheath and filed a non paying bidder report. ( I even have the tracking number of the package he sent me showing it was already delivered) gun broker customer service did nothing. I also had a couple customers return the money orders that I sent them because I had let them know that I was out of town when auction ended and that I'd send money orders when I returned home, both sellers acknowledged and said fine. Then I sent out both money orders and one 2 days later filed a non paying bidder report and the other 4 days later... One said he would send me one of my items but not the other cuz it was relisted and he's send my refund... But too late, he's already filed a report and left neg feed back so my account has been suspended. How can I be a non paying bidder if I kept good communication and my payment is being returned? A couple sellers never sent anything and did not refund... Small items( but it's the principal). Don't get me wrong I've gotten some good deals as well, but not lately, it seems the site is only out for the crooks! Stay away don't join!
Wow - I didn't realize that Gunbroker was such a sleazy site. I'm also having issues with their so-called 'Customer Support' who closed my case before any resolution.
They have not replied to an email from over 3 weeks ago to reopen the account
The site is a joke. My account has been closed according to them at my request. This is a LIE! I never requested it closed. On top of that they have not replied to an email from over 3 weeks ago to reopen the account.
I contacted via email, customer support, as they requested but nothing..nothing gets done. In my opinion the website has an opportunity to be a great thing but NO CHANCE of it under their current customer treatment.
Will not back you up when you have been defrauded by criminal activity
WARNING WARNING ! Stay away from this site ! Will not back you up when you have been defrauded by criminal activity. They can't help but be aware of criminal activity -- check reviews -- it has been reported by many other besides me. They especially allow C&R holders to engage in the business of selling. 144 plus transactions just isn't collecting. Then the C&R rips you off. STAY AWAY !
Everything seemed to work, except when I tried to bid
Completed the procedure to register and verify. Everything seemed to work, except when I tried to bid. Then the system said I was suspicious and directed me to another page requesting more information. Why was I approved in the first place. Sent additional info and got the reply they would act in 24 to 48 hours. The Bid item I wanted was only open for 20 hours.
Do not buy anything from GunBroker
Ordered $100 item using my old GunBroker account. I had to update my old address to new address. Invoice said shipping to: correct address. Seller received old address, and I am now trying to retrieve an item 200 miles away from whoever lives at my old apartment.
Do not buy anything from GunBroker. This service is abysmally bad.
I urge anyone else who has had similar problems to file charges against them for credit card fraud
Before you do business with this company, either buying or selling, please do yourself a favor and do a search for them on complaints. You'll be astonished at the range of complaints against them. My own is about billing issues and fraudulent credit card charges. I urge anyone else who has had similar problems to file charges against them for credit card fraud.
They have no check's in place to stop the seller from jacking up the price of the auction
Stay away from this site. They have no check's in place to stop the seller from jacking up the price of the auction. Seller will put up a gun on "NO RESERVE" and then use different account to drive up the price. Here is the bid history of one of the auctions I thought about bidding on since it was no reserve. Notice the user P***4 made 4 bids for the gun (bidding against himself since there were no other bids during that time frame) to drive the price up.
Here is the BID History.

Ummm... Look at the time stamps on the bids. they are not in chronological order. l***r made a $160 bid at 9:05PM on the 29th. Then P***4 made four consecutive bids between 11:43 and 11:45PM until they were the high bidder at $200. It's called bidding by proxy. The website remembers your high bid and automatically places bids for you until you are outbid. Gunbroker has policies against shill bidding and will delete accounts caught doing so. Also sellers who employ shill bidding run the risk of winning their own item. Since Gunbroker does not allow bid retractions or cancellations a shill bidder can get stuck with commission fees on an item they have to keep.
They ignore me, then disable my account and remove my negative feedback against the offending vendor
Horrible site. After sending them all documenting evidence that I was being cheated, outright defrauded out of $200, they ignore me, then disable my account and remove my negative feedback against the offending vendor. There are too many other good auction sites with better prices. Gunauction.com, Auctionarms.com, GunsAmerica.com...just to name a few...to waste time with Gunbroker.
Gunbroker ripped me off for $635.00 with ZERO support, they will not even return my email.
Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. I have a 100% feedback score from eBay after doing business with them for 10 years. In contrast, I found GunBroker.com to have the worst customer service. They pretty much ignore you and you can't call them, either. Plus, they have an F rating with the Better Business Bureau. Do yourself a favor and take your business elsewhere.
On 6/18/22 my listing on GunBroker.com ended without selling. After I received the email notice of the non-sale I didnt return to GunBroker for months. When I did return I found my account locked for not paying sales fees. When I questioned this I was told by GunBroker.com that I missed the deadline for disputing fees and had to pay the fees.
Both Gunbroker and the seller misrepresented the terms of the sale of ammunition, if the truth of the sale was known I would not have purchased the product.
This was clearly false advertising and Gunbroker did absolutely nothing about it deskite me contacting both the saller and Gunbroker, if you have a problem good luck.
I call bull on this. All you have to do is send a payment reminder. 10 days later file a non-paying bidder report. Re-list the item and leave negative feedback. Your seller fees will be refunded. Gunbroker does not provide an option for buyers to "cancel" an order.
I had a buyer choose to cancel an order and gunbroker charged me a selling fee for an unsold item. I tried to resolve it using the steps they provided. Unfortunately, all it takes is a dishonest buyer to exaggerate/lie why they did not submit payment for gunbroker to side with them and charge a seller for an unsold item.
Unable To Get Account Closed, and Overcharges
I used the service one day and pulled my listing. After contacting this company (if it can even be called that) many times I still can't get my account closed and they keep billing me for charges that I never incurred.
Sellers bid up items that are listed as no reserve. They don't even hide it very well.
$$$$ taken. No response from seller or gunbroker. No assistance or customer service. AVOID. FRAUD
Site is okay but is a good ole boy network. If you make someone who is a friend of a mod then you're screwed. As they will edit your account feedback to lower your rating and boost theirs. Basically extortion and mob like run.

The guy and GB are complete no counts.
I have filed fraud on a seller "gunspiker" for selling NOS when in fact it was a return from Mills Fleet Farm. Century arms had a record of the gun and I was told it was sold and returned to them for repair. I get it with a broken stock and cant get results from filing fraud on the seller. Hopeless is an understatement 9 months and still no reply? A complete lack of anything resembling CS.
Your actual complaint is against the guy that screwed you, not gunbroker, isn't it?
