Gentleman, this is in reference to a Haband! Mail purchase I made this past winter when I ordered three pair’s of ladies slacks.
After checking the merchandise I found them to be the wrong size and I had to return two pairs for exchange. A few days later when they came back I was charged with a shipping bill of $15.95. To this effect I sent a payment, and surprise, surprise the following month I was billed again when I received another statement requesting to send another $15.95 . Unfortunately I had forgotten the previous bill and I made the MISTAKE of sending this company another check.
Upon requesting a refund and their credit card cancelation my demands were ignored and adding insult to injury the monthly statement kept increasing each month, with penalties and non authorized charges--- which I refused to pay. This credit card Co. (Haband!) is located at P.O. Box 659707, San Antonio, TX [protected] .
I tried to connect with the Company Customer Service to no avail (there is none) only e-mail contact. I got the same results when calling their credit card at [protected]; I must have pressed the option 1 about 7 times till I gave up.
Those folks are running a scam that has to be stop by any means possible be it civil or criminal by the corresponding authorities. Therefore, I’m willing to pursue this matter by filing with the following departments:
USPS, BBB, CA Attorney General, NJ Consumer Affairs, Atlantic Co. Div Consumer Affairs, Same for the State of Texas division of consumer fraudulent activities, Federal Trade Commission and last but not list Internet posting and Class Action Suit by a National Law firm.
This experience has turned very sour for me personally. I believe this Company knows how burdened the average citizen is with more pressing problems and take advantage of their weakness by fraudulently overcharging; fortunately for me I’m retired and I am vigilant to scams from fly by night operators.

billed deceased credit card
Received charge from tlg autovantage on credit card statement for deceased. Called company and was advised the $169.99 charge was because she cashed a $9.75 check from haband in july 2009. I advised them that she was deceased and they will be reversing charge and eliminating any further billing. This is the 3rd time in a year haband has billed her.

Customer service/refunds
This company has no "customer service" service. When an order was returned because I could not use the product, they charged my card for return postage, but did not credit my card with a refund. An email concerning a refund was not even accepted by them. How does such a company get an A+ rating with the BBB? That is a mystery.
I purchased some items and had to return because of the poor quality of clothing. The jeans I bought didn't look like the jeans in the photo. Very thin and cheap material, not jean material. When returning them along with the tops, I told them I didn't feel I should have to pay shipping and they turned around and charged me anyway. I paid $69.96 and only received $40 something back. I lost over $20 in this worthless transaction.

Some months ago I signed up online to become a member of the Haband Perks Program. I just examined my bank statement online and saw where $14.95 was being deducted from my account by that company without my knowledge. I did not know there was a charge to become a member of that program; I would like a REFUND all all of the monies that they have deducted from my bank account over the past several months!!! I am convinced that their Customer (Non)Service people failed and never even graduated from Kindergarten...
I returned some items on July 8, and between July 18 and July 24 I asked them SEVEN times if they received the items because I have yet to see a reversal of charges on my credit card statement online. They gave me every other kind of information about refund policy, etc., EXCEPT to answer my simple question "DID YOU RECEIVE IT?".
Lastly I e-mailed them "if you people continue to refuse to answer my simple question after my SEVENTH request, I will file a dispute with my credit card company and will post a complaint on complaints.com. That was TWO days ago, and those dodo's have not even replied to this date...

My husband ordered a shirt (too big) and a Leather Jacket (too big). We have since returned this merchandise and wanted an exchange. Further research was made and my husband decided he did not want an exchange but rather a refund. We have also included in this package a check for $8.99 and a letter as to why the articles were returned. Please be aware that we do not want an exchange but a refund of the money spent on these articles. The only item that fit was one shirt, which goes to prove that the merchandise is mislabeled.
The items returned was 16R34 Comfort Shirt Grey and 367 Leather Jacket Brown.
Please let me know the statis of this order by calling or by e-mail.

They prey on the elderly and get them to commit to charges for another company called TLG. Haband never answers their phones and avoids "customer service" calls.
I just received a letter telling me that Everyday Privileges Gold was going to charge me $169.99 for 2011. I called and asked what it was for and he told me I cashed a check and therefore they charged me for the membership service. I than (shame on me for not checking closer) saw they charged my AMX for $159.99 in Feb 2010. I have not ordered anything from Haband since 2009. I will never order from Haband again. Now I'm just trying to get my money back. This is a SCAM and I am contacting the state attorney general. Watch out for these scam artist. I was told Haband sold them my name and credit card information. AMX now has a block on my card to prevent any future charges from these scammers.
My husband and I are senior citizens who have been "scammed" on multiple occasions by Haband including one recent incident where they attempted to bill our credit card nearly $200.00 and it was caught by our visa card administrators. As our card was now "compromised" we had to cancel the card and go through the inconvenience of changing over all our auto-pays on the old card, etc.
We have attempted to call the numbers given on a recent billing (which we did NOT owe) and got an automated message that stated, "we can not take you call...'goodbye'"!) We wrote them a complaint letter attaching the bill 4/12/10 and have not heard one word back.
Today we received another notice from one of their 'subsidiaries', Buyers Advantage memberships, stating they could not deduct our "annual fee" for our "membership" with them of $149.99 that was billed to us last year when my husband inadvertantly deposited a check from Haband in the amount of $8.05 which he thought was a refund. I called "Tim" the representative and explained the scam we experienced at the hands of Haband and his company and threatened to sue if the $139.99 they deducted from our now compromised card last year was not refunded. He talked to his supervisor and agreed to mail us a refund in that amount.
We have been good customers of Haband for the past years but WILL NEVER PLACE ANOTHER ORDER with them again. Doesn't do any good to write or call them...they do NOT respond. They are the ### of the catalogue companies, preying on elderly and unsuspecting honest citizens of the US. BUYER BEWARE!

Be wary of the offer of "free shipping." If there is a "free gift" involved, the "free shipping" goes away and shipping charges will apply. They do not tell you about this. After 16 email exchanges, they finally said they would delete the "free" gift and would give free shipping. I, too, got hooked with the "perks" and I agree with another complaint that the fabric quality in the clothing is terrible. I'm done with them.
Customer service sucks
Haband is still sending out "customer service" letters with stamped signatures of Duke Habernickle; who according to DMnews http://www.dmnews.com/private-equity-group-catalog-holdings-buys-haband/article/93265/ left the company in 2006 after selling his shares to Catalog Holdings. I am in the process of trying to solve an issue for my 77 year old mother, who prepaid an order, was shipped items not ordered(and billed for them) and was not sent items she did order. "Habernickle's" March 30, 2010 letter promised to correct the problem, but the missing items still have not been sent. When my mother called their customer service, the rep hung up on her. Good business.
Poor quality sweater
I ordered one of the hand embroidered sweaters. Although it took 2 months to receive it, I did receive a postcard telling me it waa back ordered and when it would be shipped. The problem is with the quality. By time I had the sweater on for 1/2 day, 5 stitches of the embroidery had come undone. Looking at the inside, there are embroidery thread trails all over, plus all embroidery threads are not tacked down.
Haband Clothing has somehow been deducting $14.95 a month from my account. The phone number is wrong. I have not authorized this amount even though I buy things once in a while. I am poor and cannot afford this. Thank you for any help.

Big ripoff/overcharge for shipping/sub-quaility products
On 5/04/10 I purchased 3 pr of shoes from Haband aka HSalon.com. Paid extra $10 for EXpress ship. After numerous emails, I have still not received my shoes and it has now been more than 10 days since purchase. So much for Express shipping.I would never have purchase from Haband but I was leaving on vacation and needed them to be shipped quickly. So I lost $10 and still have no shoes. The first email from Haband advised that I could check shipping status of my order in 24-36 hrs. after order was placed but even after 36 hrs. my order had stll no been shipped. I guess express means "a week or 2 from now"?

At first I thought this was just some kind of Phishing scam ( people sending phony billing so that you have to log on somewhere, and they then steal your ID etc )

So its obvious, that this is just a spamming technique.
I wrote them back telling them I have no account with them and never made any order, and that I suspect they are just spamming for customers to visit their site.

I forgot to mention that the FAN is made in China, and NOT ONE person I have spoken to had command of the English language without an accent very difficult to understand--I still think I have only spoken with the same 2(possibly a 3rd) people!
I ordered a 42" tower fan from Haband. I have been doing business with them for a long time by ordering clothing, so I felt pretty comfy doing the order for the fan. It arrived 9 days after I ordered it--in the middle of a heat wave! HOW glad I was!
Then it was time to take from the box--it took TWO people and about 25' to do so because it was packed so tightly. The 'instructions' are in type that even a normal sighted person would need a magnifying glass to read;it's written by someone other than a person in good command of the English language, and 2 elderly ladies couldn't understand WHERE the 2 parts to make up the 'tower' that holds the stand were! It appeared in the diagram that they were packed INSIDE the fan, but it wouldn't come apart. So we got a much younger male to 'put it together' for us. WELL, the 2 pieces we couldn't find were NOT included in the box!
I called on a Sat.;was promised a 'product specialist' would call me that evening 'or tomorrow, at YOUR convenience'. NO call Sat. eve. and none by 2:30 Sun.--I called again;'I'm emailing the prod. spec. NOW and he will call you NOW!'. I asked if he was sure it would be NOW, and he said 'well maybe an hour'. I requested his name and operator #, but he didn't have one;requested his last name but they aren't allowed to give it out--'but my name is John, spelled very uniquely, so they will know who I am--J-o-n-n-e.' I waited the hour;called;'there's no one by that name, AND the prod. spec. doesn't work on Sundays! I will have them call you tomorrow.' (I work. I want a manager.) hesitation...'I don't have a manger;will a supervisor be OK?' (Yes) 'Please wait a few minutes.' on hold...The SAME voice returns as supervisor. I argued;she continued to lie and try to fill me with BS;I hung up on her, threatening to report to the A.G.'s office and BBB!
I have only been requesting that they 'overnight' the 2 missing parts to me, so I can use the g.d. FAN! THEY, in turn insist I REPACK it and 'send it back for a "replacement of the entire product--because each one is made differently and taking the 2 parts from ANOTHER box means they won't fit MY fan!" All the while I'm trying to explain that I was elderly and could NOT get the thing back into the box as it had been originally packed! It is now Tues.;I called twice more, and again was put on hold for a supervisor(the same voice returned again);when I insisted they send me the parts, in a less than 'happy tone' SHE hung up on me! A 3rd call;supervisor;a request to be connected to the 'main office';she wasn't able to do that;I want the #--she gave it to me and disconnected me;I called the # and it was totally FAKE, as it 'is no longer in service'. SO, here I am looking up the info about the company online--and I ran into this site! Order #9294060 LOST!
Per the recorded telephone information at the Haband organization, my order #9294060 was shipped out on May 6, 2010. I waited until May 18, 2010 and called Customer Service (the order trackers) at [protected]. One CSR gave me a tracking number that, when checked at the U.S. Postal Service website was "not found". I called her again on May 18, 2010 and got the same incorrect tracking number PLUS a number for FEDEX that was "not found" on the FEDEX webpage.
The next day I went to my local post office with the US Postal Service tracking number. The supervisor at my local post office told me there was "no record" of this tracking number. I came home and again called Customer Service (order trackers). The CSR again gave me this incorrect tracking number as what was in their system for my order. When I told her that the local post office had no record, this CSR told me that I will have to wait until June 6, 2010 to either get my order re-shipped or get a refund. Unbelievable!
Haband used to be a good and reliable company. What is happening here! Anyway, I have sent out a number of e-mails also since then asking for my shipment re-sent NOW by next day shipment. We'll see! Sure don't want to have to call the Better Business Bureau and the US Postmaster General!
Well, be prepared to write to the BBB and the Attorney General! I just did for my father who has been scammed for $85.00. I have been trying for months to correct this mistake with the World Financial Capital bank that Haband works with...and get this they issued a credit card in his name without his permission! He is 85 years old and has cancer they call him as early as 7am and as late as 10 pm. I also wrote to FTC because that is clearly a violation of the do not call regulations! They call him between 6-7 times a day! They are ruthless! I would not wait I would not waste anymore time the more people that send complaints the quicker we wil all be compensated whether be monitarily or not getting these ruthless calls from uneducated people! Haband Company products are piece of junk
After making the mistake of ordering a TV remote control from Haband, I found it to be a piece of junk! I returned it for a refund, which was eventually credited back to my Mastercard. They refunded the price of the item only, and not the postage costs either way. The postage costs were more than the item itself. A few weeks later, I received a check in the mail for $8.25. Thinking it to be a refund for the postage, I ALMOST cashed it without reading the fine print!
It turned out that I would have been enrolled in some BOGUS discount plan that would have cost me $159.99 per year and would automatically renew eqach year afterward! This company is indeed a rip-off and may be sharing your credit card information with others and enrolling you in all kinds of phony plans!
Refurbished Pentium Mobile Laptop
I ordered the Pentium Mobile Laptop; Item No. M240-VCD13 for Christmas 2009 it arrived on December 24 just in time for Christmas. I put it all together on Christmas day and for the 90 days it was guaranteed it did fairly well. In April it started having problems of all sorts and it would shut down during use at will. The last week of April it got even worse. When you turn it on sometimes it would turn on and sometimes it wouldn't at all. Now it just turns on but will not stay on at all and within a few seconds it turns itself back off and the screen never comes to life.
Is this any way to handle customers faith that they are buying a quality product from a reputable company and when they spend this kind of money the product should last at least long enough to reach a year old.
I feel this is a rip off. I have talked with a couple of technicians and described the problems with it and they say it will take 350.00 or more to fix it and that is more than the 307.98 I gave for it.
I hope this will prevent anyone else from getting their hopes up with what seems like and incredible deal only to find out shortly after the 90 day warranty expires. I know I am very disheartened with Haband and their refurbished products.

Forces customer to pay to return wrong merchandise
April 2010: Ordered three pairs of pants, and one was clearly wrong size (two errors: pants too long and waist too small!). Had to pay $7.50 to return $12 item because of Haband mistake. I have been a loyal customer for not just years but decades. In the unlikely event that I get the postage refund, I might buy from Haband again, but I am not counting on it.

When you order items from HABAND, they without your knowledge enroll you into this perks thing. It's only when you go and check your bank accounts, that you find out your being charged on your charge card. I want to unsubscribe from Haband Perks the unauthorized withdrawals from my account will have to stop, as I am out of a job & can no longer afford to shop, much less have money withdrawn from my account. Haband has charged me $14.95 for something called "Haband Perks" and I did not authorize this.
Haband has been making fraudulent unauthorized charges to my checking account for something called Haband Perks. the first charge is for $1.95 to sneak in. Your bank will tell you that companies charge these small amounts to check the validity of the charge number. When that one goes through, they continue to charge $14.95 per month until the victim realizes what has happened. They have been doing this to me for 3 months, but I've seen sites where people have posted that they've been trying to get this resolved for over a year. I'm contacting my credit union fraud dept tomorrow to initiate investigation and charge back. I'm posting this to warn others about this theft.
I called their 1-888 number and canceled my Haband Perks that I didn't even know I had until they started billing me. And then, just to make certain, I copied your text (above) and used it in an e-mail of my own (it fit the bill) to them. Two days later (today), I get an e-mail reply from Haband with the aforementioned text in the reference, stating:
"Thank you for your email. To show our appreciation for your order with us we offer you a chance to sign up for Easy Saver. They offer money saving discounts at different retailers, prescription drugs, entertainment and more. The offer is try Haband Perks for 30 days for a low activation fee of $1.95 and if you choose to keep it you will be billed $14.95 per month to your credit card that you used on your Haband purchase. Just for trying this offer, you will get $10.00 off your next Haband order. The only thing that you have to do to get this $10.00 discount is send Easy Saver a copy of the confirmation of the next order and they will then send you a refund check in the amount of $10.00.
If the customer accepts the offer by entering their e-mail address and zip code, their credit card and billing information is passed from the Haband site to Haband Perks.

contact your bank and state it was fraudulent.. they can reverse the charges.. Also cancel your card and get a replacement as the company that withdrew the funds has your old information from your card but they won't have newer information when you get replacement card. Good luck with this..
Money taking out of Checking with no authorization
My wife ordered clothing from HABAND and paid by our visa checking account which already taken out of our account. Later in December 2009 they took out 1.95 and just lately in Jan. 23, 2010 they took out another $14.95 in which I did't give them authorization. I called and made a compliant and said that we had authorization do to so. With all the talking she will credit my credit card and told her we will never do business with them and will spread the word that they just scamming customers. I was really pissed off. If any customer see this message, call HABAND PERKS AT [protected], HABAND PERKS, ASK FOR JAIME EX#4483 AND GIVE HER THE HELL.
