when EMS internet contacted me, They filled my head with all the tech speech, I informed them I wasn't to technical, I agreed to have an all singing all dancing web page for £600 i was told leave it with them they would make sure I had a great selling tool. I was told it would be up and running in 3 weeks. I'm still waiting, I have had more calls off sales people then anyone I asked for a part refund as I knew they had paid for a domain for me, apparently you only have 72 hours in which to ask for a refund, it must be done via a recorded letter which I find ludicrous, the customer management team are rude talk over you and basically tell you to shut up as they are talking, so you can't get your point across. They seldom do what they say they will, and then ask you to trust them? They ask you to fill out a form that will not save what work you have done so you can come back to it, which they are apparently changing on the next upgrade so that doesnt help me after I put 2 hours into writing, only for the lot to be deleted so i need to start again! I'm told they will help me complete this form (by the snotty woman in customer services, "you know the one that had talked over me previously "I do not hold any faith in this company and I am told if I slate them I will be hearing from there legal team! again by the same snotty woman who wants to help me with my account! they get you over a barrel then you know whats coming! this company have robbed me will lies and deceit. YES I'M ONE ANGRY CUSTOMER! I'm sorry I can't atatch the letters they have sent me via e-mail they will not load
This company approached me on 12/10/16 and I spoke to someone called Chris Dixson, he told me about what EMS could do for me as I wanted to start up a web page. He told me he could guarantee, I would be on the 1st page of google and that it would be an extensive package he was selling me. This great web page could be going live in three weeks, it sounded wonderful! ho much £600 (Which was in fact £720 I was told later plus vat) wonderful I gave my card details and had to wait for that to be authorised, by bank thought it looked suspicious, and stopped my card, I had to say to the bank yes this transaction was correct. I phoned EMS back and got no answer, I was informed by the previous conversation that they closed at 5 and its now way after that so I waited till the next morning. Chris phoned and said the payment had gone through, he also said he was sending me a e mail stating that if I could fill this in as it gives them a better background as to what the business is and will help the designers. I was told that they would work very closely with me so I hung up feeling excited. I still haven't received a receipt. It was four days later I got a call from a guy offering to put me to the top of google! I told him I had already paid for this so he said he would look into it, he came back and said i'm so sorry your conversation was not recorded, I told him thats convenient! I wasnt pleased as the 720 was already the most I could afford! I'm not to pleased that I was miss sold this package. But i'm continually told that they were good and had good reviews! I started filling out my account form on the computer I complete 1-3 pages easily its a general form just asking about the business. the next section is on the start up of the business which also was fine, then they asked about the business but wanted 500 words (they now tell me this is 50 so I could be wrong as they have taken this off the page) I took 2 hours filling in this page but had questions on the postage side of things! so asked my account manager Jade some questions about this she said she would find out about it but would go through this with me if it was easier, I said yes please, then asked her about the postage as i didn't want to overcharge my customers. I'm still waiting on that phone call. (yesterday I learned, apparently Jade has left the company ). I am then phoned by yet another sales person offering me the new must have on my account, I tell him I am not happy again he tells me he will get to the bottom of this and call me back!...still waiting. Then yesterday I call regarding, cancellation, as its now 4 weeks 4 days and i have not heard from the design team. I get passed on to another customer relations manager, I ask to speak to a manager she informs me shes the highest manager there is to talk to. I start telling her about my terrible experiences, with the company and that I want a refund, I explain that I know it can not be in full as I know they have purchased my domain name, Katie talks over me almost telling me to be quiet while she explains things and that she would have to speak to a director. Katie was rude and then said she would find out what was going on. Katie did phone me back telling me I only had 72 hours to ask for a refund and this had to be written and recorded delivery. Katie also informs me that she will help with the forms, but to be honest we clearly don't get on as she is rude and needs a customer service review. Not once have I ever been told this! I assumed it was 28 days as most places are! I am mortified. I don't want other people being put out of pocket by this firm.
Firstly may I ask you to listen to the phone calls you have on file! Katie, (my accounts manager who spoke over me when i'm trying to talk) obviously didn't listen to me at all and certain facts have been twisted! I informed her, that the data I had inputted had deleted when I had spent 2 hours putting in the info pressed save, she told me its something you are going to change on the next upgrade to the system. I was promised before Katie by one of your staff that they would input the details for me! That member of staff Jade is no longer with your company! I was also told by one of your sales team they would sort it! (i'm still waiting)
As for a happy business relationship and going forward how do you expect me to have any faith in your company when from the start I am told you can get this done in 3 weeks, I'm told whatever will get me to give you my credit card details then left home and dry! You expect me to work with someone who lies and says I want a full refund and who shouts and talks over me? This is not the way I see it! You can't find the original tape of the conversation I had when i bought the package (very convenient) . Why don't you for once admit you are wrong? I already know i hadn't put the amount of words onto your form that you require but seriously deleting it and telling me to start from scratch... whos idea is that? 2 hours that cost me that I can't get back! As for Katie saying that I would make slanderous comments that to is a lie (i implore you listen to the tape) What I did say is that I would give bad reviews all over the place and face book! Its not slanderous if its the truth!
Website
This company has made my friend so ill she is now under the doctor. They have pestered her every day with calls and emails for over a year selling "packages" she did not need, then charge the earth for. £10, 000 is what they have embezzled from her and I hope that this company EMS Internet Ltd gets closed down and the sales staff should listen to some of the calls they record and imagine that it's their mum or dad being bombarded with lies and bull. disgraceful behaviour BE WARNED STAY AWAY PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH THEY ARE MONSTERS.
Design and sales
i have a web site with the company already, they phoned me up to sell me a new product google responsive web page at an extra cost of £190, new web design and two pages. I gace the sales lady all the relevant details I wanted in the new web designs, I paid half the money up front balance on completion and my approval.which should of been 25 feb 2016. they sent me proofs of the new web design which a baby could of done. I told them I wasn't happy and wanted my money back, the sales lady ignored my request and just kept on asking me for more design ideas. I told her your the professionals you deal with it you no my brief.i told the lady I am very ill and have cancer. she ignored this
So called Web Site
I was talked into a new web site through a cold call from the above company. They told me the new site would work the same as the old web site but with the added bonus of myself being able to access the site and change information myself. I paid there fee expecting a web site but was then approached for more more money for them to put on key words on Google. I again paid expecting that to be the final bill. After a couple of months and still no web site I was approached again for more money, this time the cost was for key phrases. After telling the caller I was not prepared to pay any more money I have now heard nothing and still no web site.

Miss sold sales
This company ems internet has miss sold me advertising, and ripped me off, after convincing that the first sale was a one off complete sale of £99+vat, and then a different salesman at ems contacting me 2 days later to say that i would need to pay ems internet a further £580+vat in order for the advertising to work for me. The second salesman`s exact words to me were, " you didn`t seriously think that £99+vat would get you the advertising did you. Yet that was how the first phone call sale sold me the advertising. This company are a fast talking bunch of crooks, and they are very well tutored at what they do ! Stealing from vulnerable, unsuspecting innocent people.
Beware of this bad bunch at ems internet.
Hard cold calls useing lies to get you to change to what they want. They were sorry but how many others have been effected.

Held credit card details and used them without notice
This company used a held back credit card details and used them to pay a yearly subscription .they said they sent invoice and email.none of these were received.normally this company rings me and I deal with this invoice on the phone.now they hold back details of payment methods and take what they want when they want.police called and if someone does this method to you please do the same.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
Holding credit cards details without permission
Took credit card details on a false product and used them, then refunded the money with a another apology then kept card details for future records or scams

I've had all the experiences mentioned in these posts. A low cost website cost thousands - as a non IT guy they bamboozled me with jargon and almost forced me to pay for any additional "service" they asked for. They also keep your direct debit details, take payments and then claim to have sent you some form of communication in advance - THEY DON'T!
Contact is impossible, requests for call backs a waste of time.
However I now have a brilliant website, but at a ridiculous cost. They email address on it is wrong and I cannot get it changed.
Better to find another company!.
Kept my payment details from previous year and then took payment for the following year six months in advance.
They're complaints procedure is nil and void, if you look at their website it can take around 2 months before they promise an
outcome.
Please STAY AWAY from these chancers !
Con artists / rip off company
Ems internet rang me last year out the blue offering this amazing offer but had to say yes or no as it was the last day of the deal. Finally broke me and i signed up to the £9.99 a month contract, they also offered me gofastergraphic.co.uk for £120 and made out that would be mine to keep forever and could move it at anytime. i have just found out that i only actually owned it for 12 months!. anyway after several attempts to log into my account i finally gave up and cancelled the contract. when i tried moving my domain they wanted £90 to release it! so basically i never bothered. now i have had an email confirming the domain was only mine for 12 months and EMS was just a reseller and had no right to say it would be mine for life. surely this is a company that thrives on ripping people off and should be brought to justice. i was told today i could rent the domain at £40 a year so why did EMS charge £120 but imply it would be mine for ever. my .com domain is about £3 for the year. EMS are a complete waste of time and money and i will be taking my case further. i have requested the audio recording of the pressure sales, the guy telling me my page was dull and boring! take a look at ya own work EMS. will never use again and will do my best to put others off

I have the same problem with EMS, I was pushed into purchasing an Internet package for £234.00, on the exact day I was going on Holiday last year 12/08/2016 and whilst on Holiday I was bombarded with phone calls trying to sell me extra things so in the end I tried to cancel verbally over the phone, as I had no Internet or correspondence with me but was unable to because according to there contract agreement you have to give written cancellation within 72 hours. I disputed this when I got back and was told my refund had been denied. To this day I am trying to get the money back it is scandalous how many people are there with the same problem with this EMS, It should be stopped it is wrong.
Fraudsters
Beware if someone from EMS Internet calls you. They will sell you everything under the sun in their £99 package and give you nothing. If you try getting in touch with them they will conveniently give you a do-not-reply email address. They will keep taking money out of your account and when you confront them they will send their accounts department to chase you for payment. When you ask for delivery they will politely say that they will get someone from Customer Service to resolve your problem. In the first instance they know they cannot do anything about it, so what can they resolve when they are incapable of resolving. So do not get sucked up in their fraud. Unless of course you are shareholders of EMS. BEWARE OF FRAUDSTERS - EMS INTERNET
Completely true. In this day and age when people try and work honestly, you have a company such as EMS that comes along and tarnishes the reputation of businesses with their shenanigans.

We never request a payment for a purchase without full recorded permission and will willingly provide you with copies of the calls where you agreed to these purchases.
We have a clear post sale cancellation period in case customers change their mind
To be able to build a website we do need input and information about a clients business to be provided to us
We are a legitimate company and have been trading for a number of years with thousands of satisfied customers
Can any one help where to get legal advice, I had bad experience with Ems internet.i did pay so much money and them keep taking from my bank money which I did confirm, spend with them £4000.they lie, is a fraud company
I have reported this company to Standard trading agency.they took £2.800 from me and did not build the website.they say I did not read terms and condition
Completely Incompetent
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They are completely incompetent. They will take your money then fob you off with ridiculous excuses for months. Their customer services dept is a disgrace, the designers are incompetent and/or lazy. You will experience problems on your site that will take months to correct. In short they have a company ethos of doing the bare minimum required.

Taking repeat fees after cancellation
I am always very wary when agreeing to anything from a cold call and asked for more information and a confirmation email to be sent prior to agreeing to a £99 mobile website. This email advised that their was no minimum term and that the contract could be cancelled in writing with thirty days notice. To cut a long story short I quickly realised that the promised website was not what had been discussed on the phone and was not going to meet my needs and therefore sent an email to cancel the contract before any work had been started to design the website. 6 months later monthly payments were still being taken from my account, despite sending an email to advise that EMS were not authorised to take card payments from the account.. During this period I had a number of telephone conversations where I confirmed that I wished to cancel the contract and sent a number of emails. Replies from EMS were sporadic, but included one email that stated 'customers have the right to withdraw from or cancel their service agreement with EMS Internet Ltd within the first 72 hours of any new agreement made; this cancellation must be received in writing by recorded delivery. As we did not receive this within the 72-hour period, your cancellation period has now expired and accordingly, we are not in a position to accept the cancellation of your account'.
Given the original information provided with regard to cancellation I queried this and payments stopped being taken from the account, but no refund has ever been received with regard to the payments taken after the end of the 30 day cancellation period. I was prepared at that point to put my dealings with EMS down to a bad experience and vowed never again to be tempted by any sort of cold calling.
However, this week 6 separate 'monthly' payments have been taken from our account by EMS Internet.

Hi I've been offered a full refund by ems internet the director has been more than fakir with me so the above comment is now void thanks
Couldn't agree more same thing is happening to me I'm getting the fraud investigation team on the case tomorrow they are a con artist company and I'm gonna shout from the rooftops about it til I get my money back in full. There MD has had directorship in the region of 20 companies and dissolved or retired over half of these he also had a co director in 2004 by the name of wade anthony Johnson who was involved in a fraud case worth over £290, 000. Says it all about this company.
Misleading sales
Called me with promotional deal £99.99 plus Vat and £9.99 a month for domaine . Sounded like a good deal for a year also informed I could stop payments and opt out at anytime. Then web designer rang told I would have to pay £41 a month. Penny dropped I have been misled and ripped off. I wrote immediately recorded delivery to stop dealings with this company only to be informed that there is a 72 hour cooling off period, not the usual 2/3weeks. It is a loop whole they use to catch small new businesses like us. They are dishonest and if they where as reputable as they say, why don't they just be nice and give people's money back or as the sales man told me give me a years promotional deal of a web site for £118 a year. ! My credit card fraud team are looking into this company .

Ems visited my business premises about 18 months ago. One of their (As mentioned above) "slick" sales people came to see me. By the end of the visit i had been talked into signing up for one of their ecommerce package. They quickly started to bump the price up on the phone the next day which in the end came to £4000. I was expecting quality from them at this price and with all the big talk from the salesman but instead i got a reasonable looking website that didn’t actually do what it was supposed to do!
If it’s worth anything to anyone who is still suffering with emsitis i went to a company called newport web design (. Co. Uk) in manchester. There are a small firm but obvious advantage is i don’t have to speak to annoying call centre staff who don't know what they're taking about! Also i have finally got a website as i wanted and it cost less than ems did!
As everyone else has said, stay away from ems if you don’t like throwing money down the drain.
Used a friends credit card without their permission to pay my account.
Stole Money did not deliver goods
This company have taken from my credit card since May 13 £1330.00 ! and I have nothing at all from them not even a website. The one person I spoke to initially about the website didn't even know they were supposed to be doing any work for us ! After several complaints and e-mails from me to them they replied and said they would respond within 5 working days that e-mail from them was dated 2nd October - both my colleague and I have sent them several e-mails and left telephone messages and we cannot get to speak with anyone and no one is answering any e-mails - in my opinion they have stolen this money from us and have no intention of either providing what they promised or refunding the money. I will also be taking legal action against this company and by the looks of things a lot of other people should as well - in this climate no one can afford to loose this kind of money. Please people if anyone is reading these complaints and you have experienced the same form them write it down here. People need to be aware of this company I really wouldn't want anyone else to go through this terrible ordeal.
Company have now agreed to a partial refund - After discussions with the company this complaint is now resolved with both parties happy with the outcome
Rip off no customer care just money money money. That's all they want
Broken promises recurring £charges
Terrible, terrible company who promised me so much but didn't deliver anything near what i was told. Then they charge me every year for a lot of different 'products' some are out of date not that they ever worked in the first place. They submit my website to google but that does nothing why am i charged 3 times a year for the same package terrible company highly recommend hanging up on them. They keep calling.

iam a removal company telephone from ems there full of bull ### charge me over £7, 800 did nothing court hearing in progress details to follow
Ripped off by these cowboys... no web site built and a refusal to refund the optimisation fee as the web site had not been built yet( their fault) all in all £500+ wasted and no web presence due top he scandalous business dealing of this company.
NEVER AGAIN and they spoil it for the good guys out there. I built a pretty good site myself using Serif software and asked them to emulate it... no can do they said and produced a page that must have taken all of 5 minutes to build and hosted it for a year... complete waste of money stay well clear
This company cold called my friend who in her 80s and does not own a computer. They manged to talk her into £3000 worth of a website services. Later she realised that this is not what she wants but was told that the phone call was legally binding and that she had 72 hour to change her mind.
There is no work done to date but EMS Internet refuse to refund the money.
Also got shafted by EMS. They called me offering a special deal (as they were looking to build their portfolio) - a bespoke website design that would be search engine optimised and better than the Wordpress site I currently have. After they took my money they sent me a contact form asking me to provide my content information for the site, and asked for some pictures. The resulting initial 'design' that was sent back to me had clearly just taken the requested info/content and automatically formatted it into a terrible looking MySpace style template, the pictures weren't even sized properly to fit the page. I asked to have a conversation with the designer so I could explain what I wanted, and was told this wasn't possible on the special deal I had been offered. Totally contradictory to what I had been offered on the phone. I asked for a refund and for them to close my account, they said as 72 hours had passed they couldn't refund the £100. They said my account was closed but then called me every month or two thereafter for about a year asking if I wanted to move on from the initial design stage, with no record of me requesting to close the account. I was also called offering to add on a search engine optimisation package at a cost of £500 when I had been originally told that this would be included in the initial £100 cost. Bottom line: EMS should be avoided at all costs, they are a scam company!
I run a web design company called Lime Fresh Design and am currently in the middle of trying to rescue one of their clients, from my dealings with EMS I would stay well clear. The client has a very large ecommerce site. We are almost at the end of importing her stock into the new shop. They have not made it easy. Same as comments above she reports they harass her to pay more money for useless add-ons. I know they are useless as I know what I am talking about. To anyone not in the know they would think they were getting a good deal. Stay clear people.
Con artists, We are going to the police
I used to work for this company - left after 2 and a half months when I discovered that websites we were selling were not being made and that the "search engine indexing" employed by the company was a complete and utter robbery. These guys don't know anything about SEO and if they do, they don't perform it. These guys are so far back it's laughable. Still working to keyword level? 2005. Still keyword stuffing? 2006. "Submitting to major search engines" - never a thing. Google crawls and indexes your site regardless. They don't even touch on link building (which is now a dying practice anyway). Their paid search model was to charge the client for a set amount of keywords (that anyone could rank for - laughably long tail and low keyword volume) and guarantee you #1 ranking for it. problem is, they'd charge you what they liked rather than the CPC from Google. You'd never see the account or how it was run because they'd insist on billing you directly rather than allowing you access to the account. This company was run by cowboys, their sales team was roughly 4x the size of the customer service team and had a staff turnover rate of 7/10 staff would leave after 2 weeks. The management cared nothing of customer satisfaction, only number of sales. Jamie Wilson drove around in his Bentley Continental GT while the people he was ripping off were struggling financially because of the consistent charges on their account. Terribly run from the top to the bottom. Mention Google Penguin/Panda to these guys and they'd think Google opened a zoo.
THIS COMPANY EMS IS TO BE AVOIDED LIKE THE PLAGUE IT WILL TRY AND SUCK YOU IN ON THE FIRST PHONE CALL BY OFFERING A COMPLETE CHEAP PACKAGE SALES ADVERTISING DEAL, AND THEN RING YOU AT A LATER DATE TELLING YOU THAT THE FIRST DEAL WILL NOT WORK AT ALL, WITHOUT THE SECOND SALES DEAL, AND THAT IT WAS JUST A SETTING UP DEAL FOR £99 + VAT. THIS WAS DONE TO MYSELF, I WAS PHONED BY A SALESMAN FOR EMS NEARLY TWO WEEKS LATER TO LET ME KNOW THAT THE ONLY WAY THE SETTING UP DEAL AND COST FEE OF £99+VAT WOULD WORK WOULD BE BY MY PAYING EMS ANOTHER £399+VAT TO MAKE THE SETTING UP DEAL WORK, YET I WAS DISTINCTLY TOLD BY THE EMS SALES MAN DURING THE FIRST PHONE CALL [ AS I REPEATEDLY ASKED HIM TO CHECK THAT THIS WAS THE COMPLETE DEAL] THAT THERE WAS NO MORE MONEY THAT NEEDED TO BE PAID, AND HE EMPHASIZED THAT £99+VAT WAS THE COMPLETE PACKAGE DEAL. THIS COMPANY IS RUN BY A BUNCH OF LIARS, BEWARE OF THEM AS THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY, AND GIVE YOU NO SERVICE IN RETURN. THIS COMPANY IS DOING JUST THAT AND NOTHING ELSE, CONNING INNOCENT PEOPLE OUT OF THEIR HARD EARNED MONEY ! BEWARE OF THESE LIARS AND CHEATS !

Cowboys and completely useless. Agree with all the complaints posted on this web site. EMS phoned me and I agreed to a flat package at a heavily discounted rate (or so I was told). Once I agreed the phone calls continues - each call requesting more money for optimization, social media and other things. I was getting angry as no web site was forthcoming but still the phone calls came. I have now gone with a reputable company and have a PROPER web site (EMS PLEASE NOTE) and put the rest down to experience. Mya dvice is simple: DO NOT TRUST THESE CHARLATANS!
