HealthTap: Questionable Legitimacy of Their Doctors?
I recently tried out HealthTap (healthtap.com) and it was an interesting experience. I had a cough and decided to call up one of their doctors to see if they could assist me. The doctor prescribed medication for me to take for my cough, which was great! However, when I went to the pharmacy to fill the prescription, it turned out that they couldn't fill it because the doctor was not active. Uh-oh!
I figured that they would straighten it out for me, but it's been two days and I still haven't received my medication. This is very concerning and makes me question whether or not the doctors on HealthTap are real doctors. It's frustrating to feel like you can't trust the medical advice you're given, especially when you're feeling sick and vulnerable.
Overall, I'm not sure I would use HealthTap again. While the concept is interesting, it's important for patients to feel like they can trust the doctors they speak with. The fact that my pharmacy wasn't able to fill my prescription makes me wonder if the doctors at HealthTap are truly legitimate. It's a shame, because I was hopeful that this platform would be a helpful resource for me.
Positive HealthTap Experience: Professional Doctor, Easy Sign-up, Personalized Solutions
i luv HealthTap. Went to them cuz i had sum health questions i wanted to ask a doc. It was easy to sign up and get started. Dr. was super profesh and sent me reminders so i wouldn't miss the appt. I gotta admit, i was a lil nervous bout the visit, but it turned out 2 b no big deal. the doc was on time and didn't rush thru it. she asked lots of questions and really listened to what i had to say. she even suggested sum solutions that i hadn't thought of before. i was really happy that she prescribed me the right meds and even followed up after to make sure i was doing okay. 2 visits later and i'm still happy with the experience. some peeps were talkin smack bout HealthTap, but i'm glad i didn't listen to them. highly recommend!
Review: Disappointed with HealthTap's Sleep Prescription Service
So, I decided to spend a little dollop of dough and try out HealthTap. I signed up on their fancy-dancy website and set up all my info. My goal was to get a prescription for Trazadone to help me sleep. This drug is super-safe and non-addictive SSRI, which is why I wanted to try it out. You know what the doc told me? That I could just use over-the-counter Benedryl or Melatonin. Uh, thanks for nothing, you know? I already had those lying around. I immediately canceled my subscription. What a laughable joke.
Disappointing Experience with HealthTap's Virtual Visit: Is It a Scam?
So, I went ahead and tried to use HealthTap and let me tell ya, it was a bit of a bumpy ride. I scheduled an appointment and was given a link to join the virtual visit. I followed the instructions and was informed that I needed to wait for 15 minutes, which was no big deal. Unfortunately, things started to get a bit dicey after that.
After the wait, I was told that the visit was in progress and that the doctor was on their way. I had the option to start texting the doctor and I tried that approach after waiting for 10 minutes and then 20 minutes. But, sadly, I received no response from the doctor - just crickets. I started to wonder if they even had doctors on the other end or if this was a total scam.
Oddly enough, signing up and giving them my payment went super smoothly. So, that's a plus. But actually getting any sort of service was a total bust. As a result, I'm still waiting for a refund. You all might want to put up your guard against being conned too!
HealthTap Review: Frustrating and Expensive - Not Recommended for Treatment
So, I decided to try out HealthTap to get a prescription for a medication that my PCP and the hospital suggested. My PCP was booked for 3 weeks and I was unwilling to wait that long, so I called HealthTap. The doctor I spoke with had a completely different diagnosis than the hospital. To boot, the doc refused to write me a prescription because it was considered too early for one. He then instructed me to return in order to obtain another one next week. I was shocked and frustrated. Why waste money on another appointment? Seems like a money-grabbing tactic. It’s highly recommended to not use HealthTap if you want to get better without breaking the bank.
Disappointing Virtual Consultation with HealthTap: A Review
I had this health app called HealthTap, and I had a virtual appointment. After waiting on hold for almost an hour, the doctor finally answered, but I was extremely disappointed with the service I received. He only asked me two questions and then recommended that I get a test for both Covid and the flu. However, I had already tested negative for Covid just recently, and I knew that it was not the cause of my sickness. Despite my explanation, the doctor kept insisting that I get a Covid test, which made me very frustrated. He didn't seem to listen to me and didn't care about my previous test results. Eventually, he only stayed on the line for 6 minutes, which was not long enough to get a proper consultation.
Additionally, I was shocked to find out that they charged my bank account way before the doctor even showed up on the call. I expected to pay for the consultation, but it was inconvenient to have the charge before any service was provided. It felt like I was being ripped off, and it was extremely frustrating.
I don't think I will use this app again. While I realize that not all doctors on the app are bad, it's clear that this one I had this morning didn't know what he was doing. I had a pleasurable experience with another doctor in the past, but this call left me with a sour taste in my mouth.
Overall, I would not recommend this app to anyone looking for a virtual consultation. The long hold times and inadequate service make it seem like a waste of time and money. If you're looking for a reliable and efficient virtual health service, I suggest looking elsewhere.
HealthTap: My Experience with Virtual Doctor Visits
Let me tell you about my experience with HealthTap. It was during a period where my life was pretty hectic. I was balancing full-time college work with my day job, and getting sick just added insult to injury. That's when I heard about HealthTap, an online platform where you can consult with a doctor without having to leave the comfort of your home.
I have to say, I was pretty skeptical at first. How could a virtual doctor's visit be as good as the real thing? But I decided to give it a try, since driving to the hospital and waiting in long lines with other MediCal insurance holders just didn't seem like a viable option.
To my surprise, the doctor was able to "see" me right away. And the best part? Most general practitioners are available 24/7, so I didn't have to worry about finding an open office. The doctor even called in necessary medication to my pharmacy, which was a huge relief.
Unfortunately, there was a small hiccup. The doctor misspelled my name, which led to my insurance declining me coverage. Long story short, I ended up having to pay $79 out of pocket. That was a bummer, but at least I got the medication I needed.
Overall, I would say that HealthTap is a great option for certain situations. If you're short on time or don't feel like leaving the house, their virtual platform is incredibly convenient. Just keep in mind that depending on the case and health history, it may not be the best solution. In fact, the online doctor strictly advised me to go in to see a GP in real life. I think that virtual hospital visits still have a way to go before they become standard practice.
To sum it up, HealthTap can definitely be an effective and efficient way to get well. But it's not a one-size-fits-all solution, and you should always consider your individual needs before deciding whether or not to use their services.
HealthTap Review: A Complete Waste of Time and Money - Don't Waste Your Money on These Imposters
I gotta say, my experience with HealthTap was a complete waste of time and money. I had an appointment scheduled where I clearly mentioned the names of the prescription meds I needed to renew. Plus, I made it clear that I had my medical records available to share if they wanted to take a look.
But the "doctor" who greeted me, Dr. Elvia A Greathouse, had some serious communication issues. I mean, seriously, how hard is it to say "Hi" or "Hello"? Instead, all I got was a generic message that read "Good afternoon". What kind of doctor doesn't even know how to greet their patients properly?
Anyway, I persisted and went on to reiterate my medical conditions and the medications I needed. And what did I get in response? A big fat disappointment. Dr. Greathouse informed me that HealthTap was unable to prescribe any of the meds I needed, including birth control pills.
I was beyond livid. How can a supposedly reputable healthcare company not be able to prescribe something as basic as birth control pills? It just doesn't make any sense to me.
In conclusion, I would advise everyone to steer clear of HealthTap. They're nothing but a bunch of amateurs who are clearly not equipped to provide proper healthcare services. It's just not worth the time or money, trust me. If you want real healthcare, go see a real doctor at a real hospital or clinic. Don't waste your time on these imposters.
And if you don't believe me, just take a look at the "transcript conversation" I've attached below. It speaks for itself.
Don't Waste Your Money on HealthTap's Overpriced and Inadequate Services
The service over at HealthTap (healthtap.com) seemed like it could be trusted - or so I thought. I was in pain and looking for a quick diagnostic for a UTI (bladder) infection. The doctor prescribed me some meds: 250 mg of Cipro, 2x per day, for a scant three days. But guess what? It didn't work! And now, I was told that I had to fork over another $49 for another consult in order to get the right dosage - the one I should have gotten in the first place! What kind of a racket is this, I thought to myself?
Pissed off, I decided to go to the urgent care clinic instead. And wouldn't you know it - the doctor over there prescribed me a dosage of 500 mg, 2x per day, for ten days with the Cipro. More than double the dosage I got at HealthTap! I also decided to check with my family doctor, and sure enough, he'd prescribed the same exact dosage as the urgent care doctor - 500/2x/10 days. Hell, even the original pharmacist I consulted with couldn't believe the wimpy dosage I'd gotten.
So here's the deal: it seems like HealthTap are just in it to make money. They give you an inadequate dose, which doesn't work - but then they expect you to keep forking over more dough just to get the right dose. I can't believe I wasted $49 when I had health insurance that would have covered me. But I was in so much pain - I had a broken ankle and was on bed rest recovering from some major surgery - and figured that this was a no-brainer, simple thing to take care of. Boy, was I wrong!
HealthTap Failed Me: Doctors Pushed Pills Instead of Addressing My Concerns
I went to HealthTap after a serious medical episode of ketoacidosis that landed me in the hospital. The hospital kicked me out with insulin and heart drugs, and told me to follow up with my Primary Care Physician. The problem was, I didn't have one, so I turned to HealthTap for help.
I explained my situation to two different doctors on the platform. They did some basic blood work and found that all of my numbers were good, except my sugar kept bottoming out. After three months, my A1C was at 5.5, but I was still a Type 1 diabetic. This didn't make any sense to me, because I'm 57 years old and my numbers were great. Without an underlying condition, there was no way I could still be Type 1.
Unfortunately, the doctors on HealthTap weren't able to give me any answers. In fact, after a year of using their service, two of their doctors still wouldn't address my questions about my condition. They just kept looking at my bad blood work numbers and adding more prescriptions. I had been using insulin needlessly for a year because they failed as doctors.
When I tried to communicate my concerns with my latest doctor on HealthTap, he completely ignored me. I was so frustrated that I cancelled my subscription, but now they won't even let me talk to anyone.
I went to HealthTap hoping to get guidance on my hypertension and pre-diabetes, but all they did was push pills. They didn't address my concerns or help me understand my condition. It's a shame, because I had high hopes for this service.
Overall, I would not recommend HealthTap. They may have some good doctors on there, but my experience was that they were more interested in prescribing medication than actually treating the underlying issues. If you're looking for real help with your health concerns, I suggest seeking out a qualified physician who will actually listen to you.
HealthTap Complaints 7
Healthy Visit 5/26/2023
On 5/26/2023, I had a Livehealthy Visit per Clover Health with Dr Pavel Convaleciuc. My Clover Account number is CP0088323. According to their records this claim was not filed, even though my statement shows that it was. The claim number is [protected] and the billing code is 999CA. The total cost is $215.00 and my plan's share is $215.00. Yesterday, I was informed that I still owe you $150.00 according to Clover Health. I filed a complaint with them to resolve this issue, since the additional $150.00 that is claimed I owe was NEVER disclosed to me. That is a violation of the federal No Surprise Act and I assume at this point that an attempt at fraud was attempted. I so inform and am giving you constructive notice that I will not pay the sudden increase since I was told that the cost for this so-called Live Healthy visit was supposed to be covered by my insurance and it obviously is not, and it was never disclosed to me that I owe over and above the plan's share.
Mixed Feelings About HealthTap: High Prices, Confusing Navigation, but Found a Solution
I gotta say, I stumbled upon HealthTap when I was looking for some medical advice and boy oh boy was I surprised. First of all, navigating around the site felt like a maze - not exactly user-friendly if you ask me. And to top it off, the prices for some of the services were off the charts. I mean, why pay a premium when you can just do some digging on the world wide web?
That being said, I did end up finding a workaround and ended up buying from clvdeliverystore.com without a pesky prescription standing in my way. Overall, HealthTap seemed like it wanted to help people out but the execution could use some smoothing out. But hey, at least I found what I was looking for.
I got some papers to share, first paper shows that Caskinette Ford switched out the steering gear and other connected parts on this dude's car on 7/16. Then, as shown on the other paper, Caskinette completed more work on 8/5 but it took longer 'cuz of parts supply problems from COVID. Caskinette Ford paid for all the parts, fixes, drop-off, pickup, and loaned vehicles. No more trouble from Mr. car and it hasn't been back to the shop since August for any more probs. Caskinette Ford doesn't pay for fixes that other shops did, but if you want them to look at it, you gotta bring it to them.
Disappointing First Visit to HealthTap: Doctor Didn't Listen to Me
visited healthtap.com for the first time and talked to a doctor, but it wasn't a great experience. The doc didn't seem to hear me out and didn't give me what I wanted or needed. I was pretty bummed out about it, so I think I'm going to try finding help somewhere else.

Terrible Experience with HealthTap: Constant Reminder Despite Completed Virtual Visit
HealthTap is the worst! I hate that they kept bugging me over and over about how my virtual visit wasn't done, when in fact, the visit was already completed and the doctor had already sent summary notes. It's like they don't even know what's going on! Honestly, I don't know why anyone would use HealthTap - they're a total joke.
HealthTap Review: Website Confusing & Support Unhelpful, Technical Issues with Consultations. Disappointed overall
i recently gave HealthTap a go, but had a bit of trouble with their website and support staff. first off, the website layout is a bit confusing and took some getting used to. i had trouble navigating and understanding some of the features. but my biggest issue came up when i had a billing error. i reached out to their support staff, but didn't get a response for a while. when i did finally hear back from them, they were not very helpful and seemed disinterested in resolving my issue.
i also had some technical difficulties during my consultation with a doctor. it was frustrating because i really needed some medical advice and the technical issues made the whole thing feel like a waste of time.
overall, i'm a bit disappointed with HealthTap. i was hoping for a better experience, but it looks like i'll be searching for different online medical options.
I tried to add some cool new mirrors to my ride, but it didn't quite work out. Luckily, the folks at Caskinette Ford were able to fix everything up and make sure my car is safe. But then I had another issue and came back, but they couldn't find anything wrong. Apparently, some other dealership couldn't figure it out either. Even though my car is under warranty, I don't wanna bring it back in for more testing. But the dealership did everything they were supposed to and have all the records, so I can take it somewhere else if I want.
Terrible Experience: Misdiagnosis, Incorrect Medication, Unresponsive Customer Service - Stay Away!
i had to wait a super long time for them to call me back, but finally got a call. they told me i had some condition and gave me pills for it, but my body felt way worse. turns out they gave me the wrong meds and my condition got worse. now they've been charging me every month and when i try to call them, all i get is some robot voice on the line. i won't ever use them again and i wouldn't tell anybody else to either. stay far away!
Disappointing Experience with HealthTap: Payment and Cancellation Hassles
I gotta say, I ain't too pleased with my experience on HealthTap. I signed up thinkin' it was gonna be a great way to get medical advice online, but turns out it's been a real headache.
First off, they been takin' my payment for months without me even knowin'! I finally noticed and tried to cancel my account, and they told me I didn't even have one. But lo and behold, I get billed again after that conversation. I called 'em up and they assured me they canceled it, but I'm still gettin' charged!
It got so bad that I had to actually lock my credit card just to stop the payments from goin' through. Ain't nobody got time for that kinda hassle.
Overall, I ain't too impressed with HealthTap. They need to get their act together when it comes to billing and cancellations, 'cause this is just ridiculous.
