I wish I would of read the reviews here first. I would give negative reviews if I could. The sales manager Dave at Hitch RV in Milford has done nothing but lie to us the whole time. He has deceptive sale practices. Tells you one thing to get you in there and then makes excuses as to why he can't honor what he said. Do not do business with this dealership. I have in writing everything that they said and we said. I will be contacting the Attorney General in Delaware.

I should've read these reviews before! Got a new RV from here, and it's been problem after problem - even the awning fell off when it was delivered. Then you gotta beg for service, but nothing ever gets fixed. And when we told them how frustrated we were, they said, "Oh yeah, we remember having issues with you folks." Like, seriously? When you spend 30k and end up fixing things yourself, it's frustrating. 1. Avoid buying a Sunset Trail, 2. Avoid buying ANYTHING from Hitch RV - all you get is rude interactions and regrets.

Hitch RV The experience of purchasing my camper from Hitch RV LLC was the absolute worst

The experience of purchasing my camper from Hitch RV LLC was the absolute worst. They show no concern once you've signed the dotted line. I strongly advise against signing anything until they have fixed all issues or provided written confirmation. The manager lacks any customer service skills whatsoever. They refuse to take responsibility for the products they sell and offer no guarantees. We had to take our camper elsewhere for repairs even though we had paid for an additional 5-year warranty. Even Forest River, the manufacturer, was of little help. I would never consider buying from these individuals again. The owners don't even bother to inquire about the happenings at their own business. The manager is single-handedly driving it into the ground. Customers are the lifeblood of any business, yet they don't extend the common courtesy of contacting you via phone or email to resolve any issues. This has been the worst experience imaginable, to the point where I would willingly travel out of state for my next camper purchase. I am thoroughly disgusted, to say the least. Please, do not waste your money here.

I think the response from the general manager to my husband's Yelp review says it all. They claimed that our expectations and demands were unreasonable, but that's not true. Who travels four hours to buy a trailer they can get locally? They could have offered to fix the RV and let us come back when it was ready, but they didn't want to do the deal in the first place. The sales manager even said that the sales guy gave us too good of a deal. I won't stoop to name-calling like the unprofessional general manager did, but I will say this: I've never had a man not stand when I entered his office or offer me a chair. He didn't even invite me inside to discuss the issue. Shouldn't a manager appreciate every customer they have, instead of calling us stupid for traveling four hours? I've reached out to the owners, Dan and Scott Hayden, about the treatment I received.

Hitch RV I bought a 5th wheel RV on 5/4 in Milton, DE

I bought a 5th wheel RV on 5/4 in Milton, DE. The paperwork is being done in NJ office. Today is 12/28 and Norma (title clerk) won't return our calls or file our paperwork for Texas Title and registration. I've called many times to the NJ office and emailed the Milford, DE office. The salesman tells me to talk to Norma.

Hitch RV I bought a 2020 camper from Hitch Rv on January 12

I bought a 2020 camper from Hitch Rv on January 12. I paid $31000 and signed papers. I didn't take possession of the camper, but it got stolen from their lot on January 27th. They didn't lock it up right. It was found in Maryland the next day, but it had some damage. They said I'd get a brand new 2020 camper just like the one I bought to replace it. Yesterday, they said they fixed the stolen one and I have until February 29th to pick it up, or they'll charge me $25 per day for storage. It's not new anymore since it left their lot. I want a brand new one or my $31000 back. Please advise. I have messages saying I'd get a new camper, not the stolen one. Thanks.

Hitch RV We bought a park model and they said it would come in April

We bought a park model and they said it would come in April. The sales person told us we had to go in and sign the contract and put down $5,000 to keep the price from going up. We did that on 9/4 and also paid $1500 for our campsite, which we can't get back. We canceled our tickets to the RV show since we already bought it. The sale agreement says it's $79,999.00. Today, 10/23, Hitch RV called and said our trailer will come in November but the price went up 17% and we have to pay $98,000 or they'll give us our deposit back. I asked them to bring the trailer at the price we agreed on and they took our deposit for, but they say it's the dealer's fault for raising the price. This seems really sneaky and dishonest, and maybe even illegal.

Hitch RV On 05/09, I bought a new travel trailer from Hitch Rv

On 05/09, I bought a new travel trailer from Hitch Rv. The sales guy, ***, did all the paperwork. The sales contract included a $500.00 R.V. cover. However, when the trailer was delivered on 05/14, the cover was missing. I called *** and he said it's on order. I've emailed him multiple times, and he has only replied twice, with the same response - it's on order. I called and left a message on 06/21, but *** never called me back. On 07/07, I called and spoke to *** again. He mumbled something about a PO# (I didn't really understand him because he talks really fast) and said he would call me back with an update. But I never heard anything from him. In my last email to him on 08/01, he said he would check with parts to see if it arrived and get back to me. But I haven't heard anything since then. Every time I've contacted him, he seems to be lying. I paid $500.00 for this cover, and he has no idea if it's even been ordered. It's been almost 3 months, and he can't give me a straight answer. All I want is my RV cover and for him to tell me the truth.

Hitch RV We bought a 2019 Heritage Glenn, Wildwood 5th Wheel Camper, Model #337BAR, on Oct 23, 2019

We bought a 2019 Heritage Glenn, Wildwood 5th Wheel Camper, Model #337BAR, on Oct 23, 2019. The vin number is 4X4FW***. It's been at the dealership for 6 months. We've been waiting for repairs that were known to them and us before we bought it. We made a list of 20+ items with the service department. They said it would be done in 6 weeks. We started contacting them in November for updates. In the last five months, we've called and emailed them many times. They either don't respond or give false promises about when it will be done. We sent a certified letter that was received on April 15, but haven't heard anything back. We had to cancel several trips because of this. On top of the bad service, they didn't send our payoff to our lender on time. We contacted them in November, December, and January, and they kept saying it was "in the mail." It was finally taken care of by January 30. The Bank of the West, our lender, called us many times about the missed payments. We couldn't afford to pay for two campers. To avoid repossession, we had to use our credit card to catch up on the payments. Now our credit report shows two 30-day late payments, and our credit score went down. We just refinanced our home, and our rate suffered because of the score. We're at our breaking point with this situation, and it's causing us a lot of stress. We just want it resolved so we can have our camper.
