What a mess of a collector's site
What a mess of a collector's site. I haven't bought anything from here, but the 'Collection' part was so bad that I wouldn't trust it. I had to change my password every time I logged in, even when I used the same password three times in a row. It kept saying my password was wrong and I had to change it again. The customer service was slow, so I just canceled my account. And get this, I had to contact customer service to cancel it. It's the dumbest thing I've ever seen. They held my personal info hostage until it was convenient for them. It's a total joke. Funko's app for cataloging is way better. I'll tell everyone I know to use that instead of this site.

I paid $150 for an item on their website
I paid $150 for an item on their website. It was supposed to ship in 2 days, but it didn't. I contacted the seller, but they didn't respond for about a week. So, I contacted the company support, who then reached out to the seller. The seller finally replied, saying that the item was no longer available and shouldn't have been listed. Some time passed, but I still didn't receive the promised refund. I've reached out multiple times, but I haven't received either the item or the refund. They even claimed that I received a refund, which is obviously not true. I just want my $150 back since they were selling something they didn't have.
I bought an item from this company's website
I bought an item from this company's website. They didn't even check if the seller sent the right item. The seller tried to scam me with a cheaper item. I contacted the seller, and they told me to deal with HobbyDB, so I did. HobbyDB took forever to respond. I went to my bank to get my money back. HobbyDB finally told me to send the item back, so I did. The seller received their item, but I never got my money back. It's been months. Months. They're giving me some excuse about not releasing the money to me or something. I've emailed HobbyDB every day for 4 weeks, and no one responds. I have a whole history of unanswered emails, including ones with screenshots of conversations I had with them. I messaged HobbyDB on ***, nothing. I reached out to them on ***, nothing. They owe me $130. I just want my money back. I'm tired of emailing them and tracking them down. It's so much effort just to get my own money back. This is ridiculous.
I own The Toy Exchange, a website for buying and selling toys
I own The Toy Exchange, a website for buying and selling toys. Hobbydb used to run the system by selling credits worth $1 each, which you could use to list items on their site for 3 years or until they were sold. Sometimes they had special deals where you could buy credits for half the price. In September this year, Hobbydb moved all the items for sale from The Old Toy Exchange Platform to their own platform. They advertised it as 'The Same Toy Exchange Only Better.' However, the new website is completely different from the old one, and both buyers and sellers are really mad about it. One big problem with this move is that the new site doesn't use Listing Credits anymore. Instead, they take up to 5% from the PayPal payments that sellers receive. Many sellers from The Toy Exchange had credits that they paid real money for, and now those credits are worthless because Hobbydb won't refund the value or even the amount paid for them. Instead, they offer not to charge sellers fees for a few months when they sell something. The problem with this is that all the items that were moved from The Toy Exchange already had their fees prepaid. Those items should stay listed on the new site for 3 years from when they were first listed. Personally, I have $3,868.96 in listing credits that they won't refund. I offered to settle for 50%, but they won't refund anyone based on their policy of no refunds on credits. But they got rid of the credits, so they're not giving customers any value for the money they took for those credits. Their offers of some free time on the new site without fees are ridiculous, and the settlement offers they made are not fair at all. Taking money and not giving the promised value is fraud unless they refund the money.
