Hoffman Media I bought a 2020 AUTUMN Seasonal Celebrations magazine for $12.99

I bought a 2020 AUTUMN Seasonal Celebrations magazine for $12.99. When I got home, I looked through my older Fall magazines and realized that the 2018 magazine had the exact same cover and pages, just missing a few pages. They're charging $12.99 for a magazine that they didn't put much effort into. I'm really disappointed. Did they think no one would notice just because it was two years ago? It's really sad and unprofessional.

I ordered a Brenda Gantt cookbook on 12/4 and they charged my credit card on 3/24/2022. But it's already 5/5/2022 and I still haven't got the book. I called customer service on 5/2/2022 and left my contact info. They called me back, but nobody was there. I emailed customer service twice, but no response. I just want to know when they're gonna ship the book.

They send out subscription offers and say a free item, Southern Cottage Magazine, a $*** value, will come with a pd subscription. I didn't get the free magazine. I called several times about not receiving it. The representative would say 2-4 weeks. It's been six months. I called again, and now they say it's a digital copy. Nowhere on my subscription offer does it say the magazine is a free digital copy. I'm still waiting for my free copy of Southern Cottage Magazine. They have sent incorrect information to make a sale.

I bought 2 different books from Hoffman Media, LLC, called Linger around the table, ya'll and It's gonna be good ya'll. But when my package arrived, I got 2 copies of Linger around the table. I called them and they said it happened because the second book was out of stock. You would think their ordering system wouldn't let me order something they didn't have. They did offer to refund the second book, but I had to pay for the return shipping because it was their computer's mistake. They wouldn't even email me a return shipping receipt. I don't think I'll be purchasing from Hoffman Media again.

Hoffman Media I preordered a product from Hoffman Media, LLC in Nov 2021, expecting it to arrive in spring 2022

I preordered a product from Hoffman Media, LLC in Nov 2021, expecting it to arrive in spring 2022. My card got charged at the end of March, and they promised my order would arrive late April. On May 4th, I received a tracking number, but it's been almost 10 days, and my package hasn't been shipped by the shipping company yet. I reached out to customer service, and they said it might take another 6-10 days before it ships. I'm really unhappy about this. If I didn't keep my end of the deal, they wouldn't accept it, and I'd be expected to fix it. However, they aren't even providing updates on the delays to their customers, let alone making it right.

Hoffman Media So, we decided to order a book from Hoffman Media, LLC back in September

So, we decided to order a book from Hoffman Media, LLC back in September. But guess what? The online customer account and the computer used by customer service don't seem to be on the same page. When we placed the order, the spelling checker on the website messed up our address. Luckily, we noticed the mistake right away during the order verification process and fixed it.

Now, fast forward to today, a whopping two months later, and I just found out about this address mishap. Frustrated, I decided to give Hoffman's customer service a call. Well, let me tell you, the agent I spoke to was not the friendliest. She seemed to be following some sort of directive from management, claiming there was nothing she could do. Talk about rude and unprofessional!

If this is the kind of treatment you can expect from Hoffman Media, LLC, count me out. I won't be doing any more business with them, and I certainly won't be recommending them to anyone. I mean, seriously, how can they have an A rating from the ComplaintsBoard.com when their customer service is so lousy? It just doesn't add up.

I ordered the cookbook called "Gather Around the Table Ya'll" from Hoffman Media, LLC more than a month ago. I called them in *** and they said the book was out of stock. They told me to go to their website and join a waiting list. But why didn't they inform me about the status of my order? How would I know to join the waiting list if nobody told me? So, I went to the website they mentioned, but there is no waiting list mentioned. It just says the book is out of stock. I told the person on the phone that this was really bad customer service. And now, after seeing all the complaints online about Hoffman, it's clear that they don't care about their customers! Shame on you, Hoffman Media, LLC!

Hoffman Media I ordered a Brenda Gantt cookbook on 1/8/2022

I ordered a Brenda Gantt cookbook on 1/8/2022. They said they'd charge my card 2 weeks before shipping. They charged my card on 3/23/22. It's 5/9/22 and I'm still waiting for my book. I contacted customer service many times, but they didn't tell me when it would ship. They blamed the printing company instead. I got one email saying it would ship on 4/29. But when I didn't get the shipping info, I called again, really mad. Finally, they gave me a shipping number made on 5/4. The info still says usps is waiting for the shipper to send it. The lady at customer service says y'all sent the book already and I should talk to usps. But usps says they don't have it. I'm so frustrated with all the lies.

Hoffman Media Bake from Scratch magazine

I sent a check and ordered the magazine Sept. 30th. The check was cashed and it is now Nov. 6th and have not received a magazine. I tried calling and e-mailing them to no avail. When I call I am put on hold for 1 minute and then disconnected. I think they are a scam. I would like my money back but doubt it will happen. Please get the word out to not order anything from them!

Claimed loss: $18.95

Desired outcome: If it's legit, I would like the magazines! But if not, I want my money back

I ordered a subscription from Hoffman Media, LLC on February 16th, 2022. However, I still haven't received it. I've sent numerous emails asking for a refund, and after a while, I received a response stating that I would be refunded $69.95 (in US funds) by check. They mentioned that I should expect to receive it by September 7th, 2022. Unfortunately, I haven't received anything yet. I emailed them again, but all I keep getting is an automated response stating that it needs to be forwarded to the accounting department and that I'll have to wait for 4 to 6 weeks.

Hoffman Media We bought Victoria magazine as a present for someone in our family

We bought Victoria magazine as a present for someone in our family. Ever since, our bank account has been getting charged on October 17th without any notice from the company about renewing or raising prices. But since the gift was still going and the person receiving it was satisfied, we didn't bother. However, they stopped sending the magazine in December 2022. Our bank statement shows that the automatic payment happened as usual on 10/17/22. They're making us responsible for fixing this issue, even though they kept billing us for the subscription.

I didn't order Tea Time magazine, but I got it anyway and now I have a bill for a six-month subscription. I'm sending a check for $18.00 on 3/27/23 to pay for a subscription I didn't ask for. If Hoffman Media automatically renews magazines, please understand that I don't want any more subscriptions from you. My account number is ***. I'm only paying for this magazine so it doesn't show up as a mistake on my credit report.

I ordered a cookbook and my credit card wasn't charged until the book was ready to be sent. But, guess what? My credit card got charged not once, not twice, but three times for just one book! Can you believe it? The first charge was on October 5 for $34.95, then on October 6 for $39.95, and finally on October 9 for $34.96. I called the company and they said they would refund me, but they were not willing to send me an email confirming the refund. They claimed to have computer issues as the reason for the double charge, but instead of giving me my money back, they charged me for the third time! Seriously? I want all three charges to be refunded and I want the cookbook canceled.

I just got these bills from Cottage (account number on the bill is XXXXXXXXXX) and Tea Time (account number on the bill is XXXXXXXXXX - same number as before). I never signed up for anything from these companies, but they're acting like they want to take my money. Two bills from two "different" companies with the same account number asking for *** each. I want them to leave me alone. By the way, my dad died *** in ***, and now I'm getting these crazy bills from places I don't even know.

On April 11, Hoffman Media took $50 from my checking account twice for an online order I made. I called and emailed them right away to let them know about their mistake. They told me I had to send back one of the shipments or "refuse" it. I got two shipments on the same day, so I took one to the Post office myself. I watched the Post Master stamp it as REFUSED and scan it back into their system. That was two weeks ago. I've called Hoffman's customer care line 4 times and asked for the Manager to call me. But I still haven't received a call from a manager, and I still haven't gotten my refund. Their Inv. #'s are *** and *** for your reference. This is the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They just keep giving me the runaround. Please try to contact them because I've had absolutely no luck.

Hoffman Media I've been having problems with getting Tea Time Magazine

I've been having problems with getting Tea Time Magazine. I didn't get the November/December 2022 issue. I called *** many times and also used the Contact section on the magazine's website. Nobody ever contacted me from the Contact section. I just kept getting emails saying someone would contact me soon. I kept calling *** and talking to representatives who said the warehouse would send me a duplicate issue. But I never got it. After waiting for weeks, I called again and asked to cancel my subscription. *** told me I would get a $16.00 check. I'm still waiting for the $16.00 check. Once I get my refund check, the issue will be resolved and I won't bother Tea Time Magazine anymore. My account number is: #***.

Hoffman Media ComplaintsBoard.com: Renewed subscriptions for myself and a friend were double billed.

ComplaintsBoard.com: In previous years, I've renewed my two subscriptions, one for me and another for a friend using my debit card. But last year in November, I got an invoice to renew these subscriptions with a 70% discount. I paid $35.98 with a check, and it was cashed in November. However, on 1/31/23, my friend's subscription was charged to my card, and on 2/2/23, my subscription was charged to my card as well. I called twice and asked to speak to a supervisor, but there were no supervisors available. Then, on 2/6/23, I received a check for $10.19, and I'm not sure why. Basically, I've been double billed for two subscriptions. I want my debit card to be credited with $59.96 or $49.77 after deducting the $10.19. You can contact me through email or my cell number. Please help me resolve this issue. I've learned not to use a debit card for renewing subscriptions. Thank you.

Hoffman Media I got a subscription for Cottage Journal from Hoffman Media, LLC in June or July

I got a subscription for Cottage Journal from Hoffman Media, LLC in June or July . They said my first issue would be the winter edition. But it didn't come. So I asked about it and finally got the Winter and Christmas editions in late January 2022. But then, in April 2022, Hoffman Media took another year's subscription money, two months early. I asked them about it and they said they sent the missing issues and gave me a refund for the second year's subscription, just like I asked. But here's the thing, they sent me a check in *** dollars. It would cost almost as much to deposit the check in my *** bank as the amount of the check, so it was useless. I told them I would tear up the check if they could just refund the money to the same card I used for the original subscription. They haven't replied and they haven't given me the refund. I asked about the missing issues again, the ones they said they sent me. Today, about 8 weeks after they said they sent them, I got two magazines: the Winter issue (which I already got 8 months ago!) and the Spring 2022 issue. But no Summer issue. Dealing with their customer service is impossible and honestly, it's the worst customer service I've ever experienced. All I want is (a) a refund for the second year's subscription and (b) the missing magazines that I paid for (Summer and Autumn 2022). And it would be nice if they apologized too!

Hoffman Media I bought Bake From Scratch on 12/24 for $16.00

I bought Bake From Scratch on 12/24 for $16.00. They charged my credit card $17.00 (I showed them my receipt in my first email on 01/18/22). When they didn't reply, I chatted with *** on 02/01/22. They told me to send the receipt, so I did. When they still didn't reply, I chatted with *** on 02/25/22. We talked about the recipient not getting the first issue. Since she didn't get the Jan/Feb issue, they extended the subscription to Jan/Feb 2023 and said the Mar/April issue was on the way. They said they didn't see a $16.00 charge for the subscription and asked for proof, which I sent. On 03/02/22, *** emailed me about the issue. They said they extended the subscription by one issue on 02/02/22 and processed the gift order on 12/22 to start with the Jan/Feb 2022 issue. It will now end with the Jan/Feb 2023 issue. I replied to ***'s email to express my disapproval. The initial email didn't mention that I was buying a digital copy. According to *** on 02/25/22, the Mar/Apr issue had until March 1st to arrive, and I should contact the post office to make sure it was sent. This doesn't sound like a digital-only subscription. On 03/15/22, *** responded and said they extended the gift by one issue on 02/02/22, which I already knew. The gift shows an expiration date with the Jan/Feb 2023 issue, and this will cover the $17.00 charge. But the recipient hasn't received a single issue yet, and it's almost April. I paid for the subscription in December . If the recipient hasn't gotten any issues, how can there be an expiration date? I replied to ***'s email on 03/15/22 to repeat my dissatisfaction with the customer service I've received so far.
