Home 2 Renovate This company did an amazin job on my house

This company did an amazin job on my house. I have used some other contractors and am very picky when it comes to paying for work on my house. I expect perfection, isn't that what I am paying for? Home 2 Renovate nailed it! They did a great job and their whole team was professional and kind. Would totally use them again!

Home 2 Renovate I'm currently remodeling and stumbled upon Home 2 Renovate, Inc

I'm currently remodeling and stumbled upon Home 2 Renovate, Inc. They were all set to get started and were flexible with my schedule. Just be prepared to get going. The guys who installed everything were total pros. They did an even better job than I expected. Our old Spanish house has these little rims around the courtyard pillars, and there's an electrical conduit at the back of the house. They made perfect cuts and wrapped the gutters around it so it looked seamless. They also double-checked the project details beforehand to ensure we were all on the same page. I'm really pleased, no doubt about it. Now I'm eagerly waiting for the rainy season.

Home 2 Renovate Very sneaky salesmen

Very sneaky salesmen. My house had sum extra needs cuz of rotted wood from water damage. This company promised in a contract to remove the old roof, replace the rotted wood that was under the old roof, and then install a new roof. They ended up installing the new roof right on top of the rotted wood, which ended up creatin' a nightmare to get it fixed correctly. When I brought it to their attention, they told me "just don't walk on it". They made it clear they were not gonna fix it, so I reported them to the contractor's license bureau. The bureau investigated and ruled in my favor, statin' the the work was negligent and not up to code. In order to avoid a ding on their license, the bureau allowed them to write me a cashier's check so I could hire a different company to fix their sloppy work.

We used Home2Renovate to replace the 'flat' roof of our pool house (about 600 sq ft), which was visibly old and problematic and in addition had developed a very noticeable leak. They came promptly to provide an estimate and explained the work thoroughly, including a sample of the material that would be used to replace the roof. The work was performed on time and within a week, including removal of a passive *** heating system for the pool that we arranged for on our own and they were able to organize around.

The work was performed on time and professionally; the contractors and the roofers inspected the work beforehand and had the appropriate amount of new materials. The new roof is well sealed and while we haven't had any serious rain to test it, I expect that we won't have any problems. I would recommend them.

Home 2 Renovate Had a really bad experience with Home 2 Renovate, Inc

Had a really bad experience with Home 2 Renovate, Inc. They came over and said, "Your house don't need plywood, other companies are lying," and "We have a lot of experience," and "You won't have to pay more money." But then the city inspector didn't approve because "the house needs plywood," and Home2Renovate came back and said, "Sorry, you gotta pay for the wood." The original price went up by $3000. This happened on Thursday, March 29th, and Home2Renovate left my roof without protection until Monday, April 3rd. My attic ended up covered in dust. Then, just one day after signing with Home2Renovate, another company came and offered a better price that included the plywood. I tried to cancel, but another manager came to my house and said, "You don't need plywood, you're lucky you didn't go with that bad company." Finally, the project got done, but the subcontractor left a bunch of nails all over and inside my garage. Home2Renovate said they would send someone to clean it up, but nobody ever showed up. I have a little kid, I can't wait around for them to find the time, so I cleaned it all up myself. Oh, and one more thing, don't ever give your bank card info to Home2Renovate. I gave them my credit card to pay the extra amount, and just one day later, someone tried to use my card to buy gift cards.

Home 2 Renovate Had a really bad experience with Home 2 Renovate, Inc

Had a really bad experience with Home 2 Renovate, Inc. and the subcontractor they used for our roof replacement, Advanced Roofing Systems Inc. There were a bunch of service issues and they talked down to us or were just plain rude during the whole job. But the worst part was that the new roof didn't pass the inspection from the LA Dept of Building & Safety. It failed for a few reasons, but the worst was when the team ripped up some electrical conduits during the roof demolition and our HVAC system got disconnected without any warning. Instead of giving us the choice to delay the roof work, they just focused on the roof and left us hanging. The inspection report specifically mentioned the electrical conduit mess as the reason for the failure. But Home 2 Renovate didn't want to pay for more than half of the electrical repair. We even got quotes from electricians who are accredited by the ComplaintsBoard.com, and they all said it would cost more. On top of that, they said they'd only pay half if we promised not to leave any negative ratings or reviews. No way! I'd rather let others know about their shady business practices and pay for the whole repair myself. We're never going to work with Home 2 Renovate or Advanced Roofing Systems again.

Home 2 Renovate FIVE STARS, an "A" for HOME2RENOVATE!

FIVE STARS, an "A" for HOME2RENOVATE! Me and my bro asked a bunch of licensed contractors to fix up the outside of our old 88-year-old crib. The paint was peeling, walls were all jacked up with cracks, and the wood window frames were straight up rotten. Basically, it was a hot mess. This dude Phil Shaffer from HOME2RENOVATE came through and was super pro, gave us all the deets, and was hella friendly. He hooked us up with a solid quote that didn't break the bank. We were down to sign the contract right then and there. They wasted no time and got to work ASAP. Our main dude Jonathon Gonzales, the Project Manager, was on-site every day, keeping us in the loop and handling any issues. But honestly, there weren't many problems 'cause Ignacio Cruz (Carpenter) and *** (Painter) were busting their butts alongside the PM's dope crew. They finished up in a reasonable amount of time, even with some rainy days. And they cleaned up real nice too. The quality of the work is straight up AMAZING! Our crib looks better than new, and we got that HOME2RENOVATE warranty to keep it that way. At first, we thought it was too good to be true, but these guys actually went above and beyond. That's hard to find these days, ya know? We highly recommend HOME2RENOVATE for all your home improvement needs!

Home 2 Renovate The estimators were good, the presentation was great

The estimators were good, the presentation was great. They discussed the paint materials and showed the thickness and quality to deflect heat (cool-wall product). However, when the job was done, the paint didn't come close to the thickness shown during the sample material presentation.

The assistant manager came to discuss additional wood needed, but he didn't even look at the entire balcony. He just stood there staring at a small piece of rotten wood and tagged on a price of an additional 8k. When I told him to stop the work, he then brought it down to 4k (just for a piece of beam?).

I told him I needed to discuss it with my wife, but he wanted me to sign right away. He tried to guilt trip me by saying he drove all the way to our place to check. I told him that was a cheap excuse since it's his job to be present when needed, and the replacement of rotten wood was already part of the original project for 14k. He just wanted to make an extra 8k.

The project manager showed up, but didn't inspect if the materials being used were according to the agreement. The annoying part was that towards the end, he tried to make me sign off on the project even though the workers still had a lot to do. He just didn't want to come back the next day. And he didn't even do a walk through.

Shoutout to the father and son workers (*** and ***) who were good, professional, and knowledgeable about what needed to be fixed. They are highly recommended. Also, Sebastian the estimator took the time to measure and inspect for a close to accurate estimation.

The project manager seemed to not know the scope of the project. He came to the site without knowing what the estimator had prepared. That's why the outcome, although it looked good, didn't have the expected cool-wall appearance we agreed on during the presentation.

Another thing, when I asked for a minor change, the project manager called the owner and I overheard him say, without measuring, to charge another 1k. I didn't go for it.

In conclusion, besides the workers who deserve a 5-star rating, I think the management and owner are irresponsible and don't pay attention to detail. They also overprice their services. We paid almost 19k for the exterior-over-the-garage-balcony project and the deck-flooring replacement wasn't even included. It's a rip-off.

Home 2 Renovate Property damage sustained by Home 2 Renovate representative

Property damage sustained by Home 2 Renovate representative. On March 3, two representatives of Home 2 Renovate did an inspection of my roof. They took many pictures, including of the attic. Since I am disabled, I asked them to email me the quote instead of staying at my home. But they still asked me questions about when the roof was last done and how much it cost. They also asked about the cost of the new paint job and the new attic insulation, and why I didn't want to spend time with them. Even though I was tired, one of the reps (***) was very pushy, and before leaving, he poked a hole in one of the wood eaves with his pin, causing a big cut. I told him to stop and not make any more holes. I called the company to complain and ask for the repair, but they said they wouldn't spend $500 to send a team for a $40 repair. They said if I hired them to replace the roof/wood, I could get a discount. I told them I wouldn't be forced into repairs and that I would take them to small claims court. They said I would be laughed out of court. Then one of the owners called and told me not to threaten them. They said they wouldn't fix "jinky repairs" and asked how much I paid for my paint job, implying it was too much. I don't think the amount I paid for painting or whether the painter was licensed is the issue. The problem is their rep poking a hole after giving an estimate and seeing that the wood was damaged. They didn't fix it. At that point, I thanked them and hung up because I wasn't getting anywhere and it was a waste of time.

Home 2 Renovate Home2Renovate won't honor contract as written

Home2Renovate won't honor contract as written. I signed a contract with Home2Renovate on 8/20 to replace 3 windows in my home. I agreed with the sales person to enter into the contract on 8/20 with the promised finish date of 2-3 weeks from the date signed, which would have been September 4th or September 11th as the install date. I was informed that the install wouldn't happen until the 25th of September. 2 full weeks past the 2-3 week estimate. The reason given was the window manufacture could not have them done until the 24th of September. I contacted the manufacture twice during this process, once on or around the 20th of August, and again on September 8th. In both cases the turn around time for manufacturing was less than 3 weeks. Meaning the windows could be completed easily in the 2-3 weeks, and the argument that the vendor is to blame is nonsense. I booked Home2Renovate for two back to back window projects, and in both cases I was promised 2-3 weeks for a finished job, in both cases I was told that would not be possible after the deposit was made. It seems that the sales staff is promising one thing to get the sale, while production has no intentions of keeping those promises. As a concession for the late installation, I requested a discount on the final price. This was met with two responses from H2R, the first response was a "No" with the explanation that they see nothing wrong with the service they are providing, and the contract protects them from any unseen events. The other, was to offer me a discount, but that discount would only be determined and applied after the final installation was completed and inspection made. When I asked H2R why I would have to wait until after the work was completed to learn what discount would be applied, the offer for that discount was rescinded. The first explanation about being protected from any unseen events also doesn't make any sense to me, as this was not an unseen event, both myself and H2R were fully aware of the manufacturer turn around time. In fact, I had a H2R employee call the manufacturer while here in my home to confirm the turn around time was 14 days (as it was at that time). Since asking for, and being denied a refund, I hung up on Home 2 Renovate, since hanging up they called me 5 times in an hour, texted me, called my home phone, and had an employee come to my home. During all of that, I have just requested that Home 2 Renovate please only communicate through my email, which they have ignored or denied. If this was an isolated case of "waiting on the vendor" I would probably be more understanding, the fact that in back to back contracts they tried the same routine of "waiting on the vendor" leaves me wondering if this is a regular practice, and how reputable are they?
