Appealing a Class
Hello, I currently finished 5th term in the ADN program and failed the course by 1 point. I was told to come in to review my test and we can see if something was missed. when I went through my test one of the questions was marked wrong even though in the book the question was listed under a different section. I appealed the question and the faculty ruled that the answer they originally had was right. This is even after they were presented with the section from the book that it was found in. The matter got escalated to the Dean and she sided with the faculty because she stated “I don’t know the content behind the question or the wording”. That lets me know she didn’t really look at the appeal information. She then forwarded it to the VP of academics. Which I’m awaiting a response. But it’s mind blowing the steps I have to take on a question when I have the prof from the book.
Treatment of students in LPN Class Westerville
I started in January 2023 Westerville Lpn night school. Mr. Jchute the math instructor got in my face in front of the class and yelled at me. He was nose to nose with me yelling at me class is back in session. I was so embarrassed and started crying. He then went outside the class on his phone and yelled at his son on the phone this happened 1/23/23. Since the beginning of this term, he has been bullying, very intimidating to the class, teaches to fast, responds aggressively to his students. Personal tutoring with him he rushes and makes you feel stupid to ask questions. He does not have compassion or cares for his students. Day students have complained about his behavior. There was a question that was asked to him if he could go over the problem with the class because we were not understanding the concept of how to do the problems, he then replied no you teach me, and classmates walked out the class. He is so rude I am failing because he fails to teach respectfully. I am a perfect attendance I am tired of this about to quit this happened 2/2/23 8:30pm.
Desired outcome: I would like not to fail my math because of all these incidents. Please refund my financial aid because I am not happy hear or find another teacher for me to learn from not fail me because of this teacher.
This so called Nursing school needs to be shut down, just by reading the comments. I wish I would have read before attending. Starting with their fake orientation, when their faculty lie to students and show favoritism to certain people. They tell students to attend tutoring, which I did through out the semestter, and hysell still failed me. I went to her personally in the beginning of the semester about my first exam. She lied and told me "I still had time to improve. She (hysell) never went over any of the questions I missed. The week before exam, she made sure she wasn't present, so she wouldn't have to go over the questions. The lab was a disaster, they called Westerville Police on a student because she just wanted to know why she failed when we didn't have hands on. This was obviously a set up to fail students. This school is dirty and wrong, and really needs some investigation. Not only, I heard they tamper with grades and people who they were passing shouldn't have pass. I also sacrificed food for my family just to pay for this program. They have students think they are passing with A's for the first thirty days so they can receive funding, then after that, they don't care if you drop. She was so heartless she never gave me the option to drop, she just flat our failed me Evil.
ADN Program
The Administration at the West Chester Campus is an absolute joke. It is one train wreck after another. Cannot manage to get clinicals lined up properly cannot manage to have actual instructors who have any clue what they are teaching they just read from a book or reply with "I don't know" when asked a question. Any type of complaint filed is "lost or never...

Education teaching
I am a current student about to disinrole. This school does not know how to teach students. The material in the lecture or reading material doesn't line up. In addition to that, there really isn't real teaching. The material that is covered in discussion does not go on to the test or exams. When you review for things they say read the material. When u read the material it's not on the test. This school tricks thier wording internationally so that you get a low grade. They want people to retake classes to make more money. It's a scamming school. It looks pretty on paper but very misleading. The recruiter lies about circumstances to get you in. So many people are dropping like Flys. This school needs shut down and money returned for everyone. The government needs to get involved. Retaliation is big in this school too. If you disagree about something, they get hateful with you. The clinical sites get switched all the time and you don't get what you pay for. It's mainly nursing homes. So damn disappointed. Waste of money.
Desired outcome: Close the school , full refund
RN Classes
I am currently in term 2. In term 1 I was failing transitions class and repeatedly asked the teacher for help. This teacher continued to go through the book and stated that I must not know the material so I failed. Right before the final the teacher finally stated that if I would do the NCLEX book it would help my test scores. Why wouldn't he tell me this information earlier in the term to help me. I retook that class and had to pay out of pocket. I did nothing but read the Saunders NCLEX book during the entire term and passed the class. It was online and I would log into class and attend lab but never listened to class and never took notes. Just reviewed NCLEX book and passed. Now It is term 2 and I am failing Anatomy, concepts and math. I have reached out to anatomy teacher numerous times and never receive any emails or calls. I wanted to see if there were lab hours so I can study. For math, we utilize a system called Alek and in the end of them teaching you take a focused quiz which I take and pass with over 90%. Go into class to test teacher quiz, I feel confident and fail. Makes no sense. For concepts we are instructed to read the book, complete homework assignments and pass quizzes and tests. I have not worked at ll this term and dedicated myself to school and teacher is not able to minimalize material and continues to read lecture from powerpoint and expect us to know what to study. I am so upset and have talked to academic advisor who can not offer any help. Other students are having difficulty as well.
Rip off
I attended hondros and my financial aid was some how changed every semester. I didn't take out any loans. I was dropped due to failing my anatomy final by a half of point, even though I had a B in the class. But, students that didn't pass the class was moved on. They pass who they want to pass along. This school is so unfair, and just want your money. To top it off I decided to go to nursing school at tri-c. I went to order my transcripts and I was told that I cant because I owe $900. I am so upset because I don't know why I would even owe $900. My financial aid covered everything. When I checked my credit Hondros College was on my credit report. Hondros College is terrible. The teachers don't know how to teach, and to top it off our lab instructor didn't know anything either. This school is complete joke
I'd quit now
Good morning. I attend Hondros college of nursing. This is my second term. This has been one of the worst "educational" experiences of my life! We are just numbers to them. They have instructors who aren't really instructors. They are admin personnel filling in for the missing actual instructors. These "substitutes" are readers not teachers. They aren't...

Attend a better school, one that hospitals respect. Hondros claims to offer better schedules but Dean Campbell will make sure your schedule interferes with your life. Don't tell her what can hurt you because she will do just that. If you tell her your child is in school, she will change your classes to when they get out. Dean Campbell will add unnecessary...

Hondros College would like to announce a change in the Pinning Ceremony attendance policy. We listened to our students' concerns and position on the policy, and we understand why it is important for you to have your family celebrate with you at the ceremony. Space constraints had required that we limit attendance at some campuses, however, due to recent campus growth, we now are able to invite and welcome family and friends to the Pinning Ceremonies. We look forward to seeing everyone at the Pinning Ceremonies this September
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Treatment of students poor
Hondros College of Nursing would not allow friends or family members to come to the pinning of the new graduates. New graduates deserve appreciation for their hard work, and certainly deserve to have their friends and family be present to see them be honored for their hard work. Even after students complained and went to the administration and asked for...
