An example of an effective workout can be performing 3 sets of 30-second dead hangs, two sets of 10 to 15 glute bridges, three rounds of 30 seconds to a minute of farmer carries, two sets of 10 thread the needle per side, and also performing 20 – 30 second holds for 2-3 rounds of the resting squat. If this workout is repeated about 3 times a week for 20 minutes each session, improvements can be observed in a person’s strength, mobility, and flexibility.
As a postural restoration therapist, I can attest that most people’s mobility problems can be greatly reduced following this routine. Only thing I would add are a few ankle and foot arch exercises. Our feet are the foundation to our entire anatomical structure. If possible, wear wider toed and flatter shoes.
i've been working out for 50 years and recently worked for 13yr doing medical education CME for ortho surgeons and a big goal of mine is continuing education. These are excellent recommendations based on functional needs for daily life, and for general fitness. I do all of them. I'd add horse stance for more advanced fitness types. It's helped me a lot with the hip pain i have from arthritis. Severely diminished that pain.
This is an excellent content for long term gains with a proper diet. I've been to four different physical therapists before and after lower back surgery. These are the same exercises that got me off medication and less pain. Wanting to live once again
As a UK based GP (or as in the USA you would call a family physician), these exercises are brilliant recommendations for folks over forty or even those that lead a predominantly sedentary lifestyle. These are excellent exercises and I wish more of my patients would do them. Good content, well explained and sage advice!
I been doing all these exercises and they've helped my body mostly my core and spine
Thank for this excellent content!
Since turning 60, I have found that I am losing strength, mobility and flexibility.
I really appreciate how your summarized the content with pictures of the exercises & the duration time to do them. Also, thank you for explaining how to perform them properly as that's very important.
Because we can do them 3 times a week and in 20 minutes, I will be adding them to my schedule.

Sir,
Can people over 50 also do these exercises?
Just don't give up on yourself. Working out is not a race is a marathon.
