I purchased a 2019 Tuscon on 4/27/2024 from a used car dealer. On February 18, 2025 the vehicle broke down. My insurance company towed the vehicle to the nearest place, a chevy dealership. That dealership gave me a loaner car until they could figure out what was wrong with my car. I got a call a few days later that there was less than 1 quart oil in the vehicle. I asked if there was a leak and they said they couldn't find one. They changed the oil and oil filter and drove the car. They heard the engine knocking so they ran a test and found the rod bearing was bad. This is a blown engine and has to be replaced. Hyundai is refusing to pay for the replacement engine. This company just settled a class action suit for their vehicles with this problem. My year make and model is one of the vehicles that was reported to have an issue with the engine. I want my money reimbursed.
Claimed loss: $26,500
Desired outcome: Refund me what I paid for the car and what I have to pay for the engine replacement.
