8/22/23 My computer is as received by the company and needed to be tested. I received an email stating 3-6 business days. After a week I emailed with no response so I called. They were rude and had no updates. I called few days later and was told it had to be replaced and expect to receive it the following week. I called on the day I was told to expect it, 9/6/23 and they had no update. I called again on 9/7/23 and can’t speak to anyone. Finally someone rude answered and said my call last week didn’t happen and no time line on a replacement.

Charged for a repair they did not complete. ECM sent for repair. They returned product with no repair. Attempted to resolve with the company. I received an email they would refund my money but they haven't. They don't respond to any communications from me. I went through PayPal and the seller is saying they shipped my product, which yes they returned the Original Unrepaired ECM. They did not provide services I paid for. I paid $418.95 for nothing!

ECM repair
We sent our ECM in for repair and paid $795 for the repair. They advertise a lifetime warranty. The ECM was faulty upon arrival. It appears they just spray painted it black and put warranty void if removed stickers on it. We were told on the phone to send it back for testing and warned that it sounded like the processor was bad which was not covered under warranty and would cost an additional $1500. We sent the ECM back, but had to do so at our expense. Since we received confirmation from UPS that the ECM had arrived, we have had no response from the company either by phone or email. So now they have taken our money, sent us a faulty product, not warrantied their product, and now we dont even have a broken ECM to have repaired elswhere. The truck has now been down for 4 months.

On October 29, 2020 Imperial Auto Services, Inc. took 795.00 out of our business account for an ECM for one of our trucks. The ECM failed to work, we returned and they sent it back a second time. Still didn't work.
I have been fighting with Carcomputerexchange.com to get my money back ever since! These people continue to give us the round around.
I want our 795.00 back immediately!

ok look I order a ecm or ecu whatever u call it week or so ago $298.95. I pit a screen shot of the email stating I paid and and has the order number. But the I get a email saying i have a balance I needed to pay and that is theblast time this company has contacted me my module I bought from ur company was for a 1998 dodge ram 2500 8.0l v10 2wd computer ecu or ecm whatever it is called. We purchased a KIA RIO Tec from KIA Tableview (Cape Town) having only done 2000km at the time in May 2017.
I had to book my car for its 60 000 kms service (having done 32 000); 15 000 kms since its 30 000 km service.

It took me 2 weeks, over 7 phone calls, several dropped calls and several promised call backs that never happened just to book the car in for service.

Car went in for service 14 Aug 2018
• Issues that I had reported were not seen too
16 Aug 2018 - returned with car - suddenly had a faulty fuel gauge.
o Was informed that the fuel gauge was put it in upside down during the service and was reassured that all would be well
17 August - filled up car with petrol - Fuel gauge again faulty
18 August - went to KIA Tableview and reported the incident - assured that we would be notified first thing on the 20th of August re a plan moving forward
20 August - no call received - after several calls was put through to service manager;
• Was requested to bring car on Thursday 23 August 2018 when a curtesy car would be made available for me;
o Did not receive an update re the car from the 23rd of August until the following day - lots of miscommunication about parts; where the car actually was etc until 29 August. The entire fuel system had to be replaced. Apparently when the filter was put in upside down it destroyed the electrics of that part of the vehicle. Which had we not fought the team on, we would have been held liable for the cost. Car was returned 29 August, and the foreman together with the service manager assured us that all was in order.
30 August - filled up the car and fuel gauge still reflecting incorrectly - called service department several times until we got through to the service manager. He mentioned that the computer was not reset and that we needed to bring the car in again 03 Sep 2018 for 5 min.
03 Sep 2018 - car was taken in to KIA to reset computer - took 3 hours. Filled up the car again pending outcome, seems still unresolved.
I own this this make and model car for a reason. I drive over 100 kms a day, and I drive alone. I work in a clinic in a township and my safety is important to me.
I am 8 months pregnant. Had I not been assertive about how much fuel I go through per week, I could have been stranded on the side of the road, in the evening due to what KIA says is a "minor fault".
I can no longer trust that the service that was given to my car - which was issueless for the most part, as sound.
This type of shocking service is expected from a backyard mechanic.. not from imperial motors that charges R5 500 for a service, only to make more issues.
If a trained mechanic can cause an issue like this, what else has been done incorrectly, only for me as the customer to suffer with the consequences possibly months later.
Imperial motors Tableview is not run well at all, from the switchboard, the lack of communication amongst staff and clients, the foreman and the service manager.
It is unacceptable that a place is managed but clearly NOTHING is being managed or has any form of oversite.
I do not trust my car at this moment in time, and I feel that it needs to be re-serviced and checked that everything was done, and done well. I also require that I receive in writing that my car is safe to drive.
Due to all of this, I have lost valuable hours of work time, paid a fortune in fuel and was put under unnecessary duress.
I will NEVER step foot at imperial motors again Tableview again. I will NEVER purchase a car from Imperial motors again.
Here again is a case of a loyal customer getting the rotten end of the stick.

deceptive money back guarantee
Sold bad part (failed immediately) and returned it BUT got refund of less than 50% of money paid for it, despite the company's homepage claim "if it doesn't work, send it back for a refund." The lady who answers the phone is very rude and unprofessional as if she doesn't want her job and pretended to be an manager when I insisted on speaking with someone else again very unprofessional individual I believe customers should be helped in anyway and she hung up the phone I'm highly disappointed with this experience! I would like an better experience with someone who's more experienced and people person.
Return policy
This company states that they except returns but fail to tell you they will keep half of your money to do so. I ordered a computer for my car that I ended up not needing and was told to use the return label provided to return it. I paid $278.00 for the Item using my Visa and was only credited back $138.00
