Vacation home rental was horrible
Vacation home rental was horrible. I made 5 phone calls and sent three texts to the numbers provided for customer service, but no one responded. Here's a list of issues with the home: There were wet towels when we arrived, the closet doors were not hung properly (they were just leaning next to the closet), the light bulb outside the door was broken, and I tripped on the step because I didn't see it when I entered. There was also black mold on the shower curtain and small mites throughout the house. On the second floor, we encountered large roaches. Additionally, there was laundry left behind in the dryer (we had to put on the pillowcases ourselves). To top it off, there was no WiFi and the 80 TV shows promised on the TVs didn't work. I called customer service repeatedly and sent messages, but not a single message was returned. I even tried calling again when I got home and left another message, but still didn't receive a call back!

In January , I payed a $250 deposit on a weekly rental with IPG Florida Vacation for June . Because of covid, they said I wouldn't loose the $250 and could reschedule until Dec. 2021. I emailed the reservation specialist twice and they confirmed my reschedule last summer 2020. No response. I called and they said to email reservations. I emailed reservations 4 times. No response. I've been trying to reschedule my vacation since January so I wouldn't loose my $250 deposit. Now, I just want my $250 deposit back since I can't seem to get any help. Also, out of nowhere, they charged me the full amount of my trip in March and it was really hard to get it refunded... took a month to get my money back. I lost trust in this company and just want my deposit back. They need to send me a check to my address because I don't use the card they have on file anymore.

On July 21 to 26, 2021, I rented a property through a vacation rental service. The property was an IPG home. There were some problems like the air conditioning not working for two really hot nights, mold on the sliding doors that was awful, porch screens that were broken, rusty objects in the pool area, and dead and live roaches in the kitchen. The most distressing thing was that they didn't follow the Florida state law about having a fence around the pool and alarms on the patio doors. On July 22, I personally showed the manager the broken and unsafe pool fence, but nothing was done to fix it. I sent pictures to the rental service, IPG, but they didn't even try to replace it while we were there. I'm 67 years old, my husband is 69, and we had our grandchildren with us, including a 2-year-old. We couldn't enjoy the pool area because we were worried about safety all the time. Also, the alarm button on one door didn't work and the other patio didn't even have one. I'm asking for a refund for not being able to use that area.

I called the listed phone number and used the website's help function. Auto-responses said, "We're closed now but got your message. We'll text you when we're back," "Thanks for contacting IPG Florida Vacation Homes! We're closed, but we'll text you when we're back!" When I sent the message, "Can someone confirm my reservation?" I got another automated message: "We're looking for someone to help you. Please wait." 2/15/22, not knowing if my reservation went through or if they received it, and getting no response, I called our credit card provider and found out $5,792.25 was paid to IPG. 2/16/22 I kept trying to contact them online and by phone, and found a second phone number that was disconnected. I got a 4th automated message: "Thanks for contacting IPG Florida Vacation Homes! Someone from our team will reach out soon." I replied, "I just need confirmation that my reservation went through," / "Is anyone there?" and got no further response. 2/17/22, with no confirmation and after trying all ways to talk to a real person, I sent this message through the merchant's help window: "Sorry, but we haven't received confirmation, receipt, or any live communication after many tries. We had to dispute the charges." They didn't reply. Our credit card company started an investigation, and IPG responded, saying, "The guest... didn't cancel their reservation, and we didn't discuss a refund..." So we were denied and had to pay $5,792.25 for nothing but trouble.
