Ordered one book from Jerry Baker one year ago and paid in full at time recieved. I have since received another book from him unsolicitated and numerous bills asking for payment and threatening to sue me for $37.50. They did state they would not longer be sending me any products until I pay. I could go ahead and pay them but then they would feel they could send me other unsolicitated materials which I don't want and don't want to pay for. I'm not sure how to get them turned off from sending these books and expecting payment.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
It a scam, I just received a book today from them. The thing that gets me, is that I have never heard of his web site or ordered anything from then. I not paying for something I didn't order, I opened the package, thinking it was something I ordered for my wife for Christmas. There was an envelope with the word invoice hidden under the edge of card board.
I wrote their customer service about this, I`m giving them 5 day to reply, told them if I don`t receive a reply, then I`m filing a complaint with the State Attorney Generals Office here in CT. and the post office.
Now if you don`t pay that bill that they say you owe, that`s going to mess up your credit rating But if you do, it puts you right back in the loop and you`ll start receiving more books.
I have had to send a registered letter to other companies asking them to remove my name from there mailing list and they don`t have my permission to send me any more of their product ever again. You`ll need to do the same
I would send your State Attorney Generals Office a complaint tell them they keep sending you books if you pay the bill. And if you don`t then it`s going mess up your credit rating, and if you need a loan, that going to mess it up.
What Jerry Baker`s company is doing is against the law. If they hear from the Attorney General office they will listen, that what your paying taxes for, let them kick some butt.
Hi, I am dealing with the same thing from this company. I ordered one book and paid for it. They sent me offers to belong to their book club but I was not interested and did not reply to that. Then to my surprise I received a book from them. I mailed it back with a note saying I did not want any more books and paid for the return postage myself. I did get several bills after that but it said to disregard them if I had returned the book. Now I've received a notice that they are referring me to their bad credit dept. I'm afraid that if I pay to $40+ for this book I didn't order than they will send me more and bill me for those as well after I send them back. I really want to report this fraudulent company. I plan to do everything I can to warn others.
Got a card from them (Jerry Baker, Wixom Michigan) in late December 2015 stating that a gardening book which I never requested would be coming in several weeks. If I wanted to opt out, I had to send the card back PAYING THE POSTAGE MYSELF! So I just tore the card up. The book arrived late March or so. I didn't even open it---I refused it at the post office, never accepted it. Now I just received a "second invoice" from them asking me to pay their bill for the book which I never requested and did not even open. How stupid and criminial that is!
1. Item not ordered or requested.
2. Date of order - did not order.
3. Order# [protected], same as above.
Why am I receiving/reques payment for items I did not order/request. And, how did Mr Baker get my email address? If I can get a request that I made this order, I will gladly pay this order.
