I bought a 2022 car and they said it would take 3 months to get the chips for the seats and steering wheel
I bought a 2022 car and they said it would take 3 months to get the chips for the seats and steering wheel. It's been 7 months now. I called the dealership to complain and gave them my VIN number. They told me I'm not even on the list to get the chips yet. I think the dealership is not being honest.
I bought a used car from the dealership 3 months ago
I bought a used car from the dealership 3 months ago. They inspected the vehicle before selling it to me. I had to replace the brakes rotors and calipers, which cost me $800+. With a proper NYS inspection, this shouldn't have happened. I've contacted them 4 times, but there's been no resolution. I believe they should at least assist with the payment for the remaining parts, and they may be violating the NYS inspection process.
We put $500.00 down on a vehicle
We put $500.00 down on a vehicle. I asked several times to make sure if it didn't work if we would get all the money back. The dealership told me the money had been refunded on Feb. 5. Until now, on the 16th of Feb., we haven't received any money back. They haven't returned my phone calls or emails. They did say they deposited the money, but I still haven't received it. Please help me with this.

I bought a 2012 Chevy Colorado from Joe Basil Chevrolet, Inc
I bought a 2012 Chevy Colorado from Joe Basil Chevrolet, Inc. and it's been a real headache. I've had to bring it in for repairs multiple times in less than 2 months! They promised it would be covered for 6 months, but that's not the case. The fumes from the vehicle were making us sick, so they replaced the manifold, but they haven't fixed the suspension issues. They claim to do a 201 point inspection, but I don't think they've done any inspection at all. They sold me an $18,000 vehicle that needs a lot of work. I'm really disappointed and I don't trust this dealer anymore. I want a full refund and I might even get a lawyer involved because I think they sold me a lemon. I live in Niagara Falls and I've had to drive back here three times now, which is a 40-minute drive!
I went to buy a used *** from Joe Basil Chevrolet, Inc
I went to buy a used *** from Joe Basil Chevrolet, Inc. The ad said that the truck I wanted came with an engine for life warranty. The salesman agreed about the warranty. However, when I went to purchase the vehicle, it was not properly detailed according to the COVID-19 guidelines. There were other issues that were not taken care of as well. When it came time to sign all the paperwork, they claimed they no longer had that warranty. The salesman was not there for the sale, so I had to deal with another financing person. I showed them all the current ads on their website with that warranty, but they said they were not responsible for mistakes, even though it is Joe Basil employees who do their ads. I got into an argument with two other employees to give me a better warranty than their standard 6 months. It ended up costing me an additional $980 on top of the sales price.
I bought my 2017 Chevrolet *** in October
I bought my 2017 Chevrolet *** in October . Since then, I've had a bunch of issues with my car. The latest problem is my check engine light turning on. Keep in mind, my car has only done 18000 miles. I took it to my mechanic, and he said it was the O2 sensor. He told me to take it to the dealer because it should be covered by the warranty. Finally, this morning on 8/26, I managed to bring my car to the dealer. I told them it was the O2 sensor, and they said they would charge me $150 just to check it. If it's covered by the warranty, then I wouldn't have to pay anything. I explained that my mechanic sent me here because the O2 sensor should be covered, and my car only has 18k miles. After telling them twice that it was the O2 sensor, they suddenly said it's not covered by my warranty. I feel like they took advantage of me. Why didn't they know the first time I mentioned the O2 sensor? It seems like they tried to rip me off $150 just because I'm a woman.
On October 16, I bought a car from Joe Basil in Depew, NY
On October 16, I bought a car from Joe Basil in Depew, NY. I left the dealership at noon, but at 5:00 pm that same day, my check engine light came on and the car started shaking a lot. I had only driven less than 50 miles before this happened, which makes me think that they didn't test drive or inspect the vehicle like they said they do. I called them at 8 am on Monday, and they told me that I couldn't bring it to the service department until 8 am on October 19. When I dropped off my car, they told me that they couldn't work on it because it was a Jeep and their Jeep technician is unavailable until Monday. I asked for a rental car, but they said they didn't have any available. Now, as a single mother, I have to find extra money that I don't have to rent a car so I can go to work and take my kid to school. I gave them all the extra money I had for the down payment on Saturday, and no one even said sorry.
Hi, my name is John Doe
Hi, my name is John. I bought a 2018 car from Joe Basil. Pool time was my sales man and basically, I test drove the car and liked it. When I got back, I thought I heard something weird. He said, 'No, it's too new, low miles, it's fine.' So, I believed them and bought the car. I went home with it but had to come right back because it was making a noise and wobbling. I brought it to the service department and Pete took care of me. He was an amazing man, very nice and kind. They had to send it off to the manufacturer so the dealer fixed the noise and everything. I thought I would get the car back and leave, but it's still wobbling. At this point, it comes back again and when I brought it back, Pete took a ride with me on the Thruway. He also noticed it wobbling, so he put me in a rental and took my car back to the manufacturer. A couple of days go by, about three or four, and I get a phone call that my car is done and that there's nothing wrong with it. They said that's how it's supposed to run. No spare tire.
I bought a car from this dealership
I bought a car from this dealership. After 5 days, the car shut off on me in the middle of traffic and wouldn't start. I called the dealership and they sent a tow truck to pick up the car. They claimed to have fixed the problem, but the check engine light kept coming on and off every day. They told me that once I received the title, I could get a new car from the dealership because this one had issues right after I bought it. I called the dealership again and this time they actually called me back. They said they wanted to buy the car back. So I made an appointment and dropped off the car for a day. They called and said they couldn't switch the car out because my credit had dropped, which was due to my previous car being totaled. Unfortunately, on 10/23, I had to pick the car back up. Today, 10/26, the check engine light is back on, along with another light saying "service stabilitrak." The car wouldn't even turn over at first. I had to try starting it 3-4 times before it finally started. This happened just 3 days after they "fixed" it for the third time.
I got a flyer from Basil asking me to buy a new car and trade in my old one at a great price
I got a flyer from Basil asking me to buy a new car and trade in my old one at a great price. Dan B, a salesman at Basil, took care of me and offered me a 2022 *** with an extended warranty for less than what I'm paying for my current car. He said I could use my current car as a down payment. B showed me the *** priced at 27000 and let us test drive one. Then, he showed my wife and me a blue 2022 *** and again said he could get us into the new car for less than our current car payment ($366). B took us to the service center and gave my wife a card for free windshield cup repair on our soon-to-be 2022 ***. I said, "Let's get this 2022 ***," and he sat down to write up the contract. He turned it in to the finance guy and looked confused, saying, "Hmmmm, something's wrong. Finance must have made a mistake." B went back to the finance employee and said the cost would be over $100 higher than my current payment. Then, he offered me a used car with a 72-month payment plan. I told him I wanted the deal he promised my wife and me for less than my car payment, and he said he couldn't do it because the dealership would lose money. I immediately went to an executive on site, and he told me B shouldn't be making promises without running the numbers first. Later, I got a phone call from the sales manager, Rob. He apologized and said they messed up. Rob then offered me a much higher price on the 2022 *** or a 72-month plan on a used car. My wife and I are senior citizens with heart conditions, and we were treated poorly. I want the 2022 *** with the extended warranty for less than the current car payment of $366 a month, just like they promised.
In February 2022, my vehicle got rear-ended in Buffalo, NY
In February 2022, my vehicle got rear-ended in Buffalo, NY. The driver stopped and gave me their insurance information, which turned out to be the same as mine. After that, they tried to make me pay my deductible for an accident that wasn't my fault. Eventually, they agreed to cover the damages the next day. I had to take my car to Joe Basil Chevy for repairs, not because I wanted to, but because other repair shops had long wait times. I knew that Joe Basil Chevy had recently repaired my vehicle in December , and everything was up to date.
To my surprise, when I took my vehicle to Basil as recommended by ***, they said it would take 7 to 10 days for the repairs. However, they finished the repairs in just 48 hours, or maybe even less. When I picked up my vehicle, I noticed that the driver's side seat was never repaired. It had movement and made noise when I sat on it. The technician seemed concerned about the door jam from the accident and ordered a part unnecessarily, which didn't fix anything. Basil and the claims adjuster claimed it was a courtesy, but I thought it was just stupidity and a cover-up because they forgot to fix the seat after the lady who checked in my vehicle sat on it at Basil.
When I asked Basil to fix the seat, they refused because they had already been paid. A few days later, they started giving me the runaround, making me come over and then telling me to wait a week. They kept lying to me. Then ***, the claims rep, told me to take my vehicle somewhere else to see if Basil was lying. Every place I went to confirmed that I needed a new seat and that the noise underneath was still there.
In the week of 7/7/22, the seat started moving even more, so I went to Basil on Transit, specifically to the repair shop side. They acknowledged that the seat was bad and tried to sell me a new one. I contacted the Basil repair shop, which is in the same building, and they said they wouldn't cover it. They even called me names and had a bad attitude when I mentioned that the Basil technicians on the other side said I needed a new seat. I told them to give me their refusal in writing, and the lady hung up on me on 7/12/22. I called ***, the claims rep, and he said that Basil now claims they didn't know anything about the seat and that they just keep lying.
Last year in March, during the pandemic, I bought a truck from this dealership
Last year in March, during the pandemic, I bought a truck from this dealership. They sold me the truck for $15000, and I made a down payment of $4500. Unfortunately, the truck had a bad engine and it died within a year. Thankfully, my warranty company paid to replace the engine and I got my truck back. The next day, I called the mechanic to let them know that my oil light came on and asked if I needed to bring the truck in for an oil change since they were supposed to take care of it. The mechanic told me to ignore it and assured me that they had already done a full oil change, so there was no need to worry. However, they did mention that I should bring the truck in so they could reset the timer, as they believed that was the issue. As time went on, more and more things started to go wrong with the truck until one day, the engine seized in the middle of traffic. I had to call for a tow truck because the engine was completely dead. Luckily, a Triple A employee passing by helped us move the truck out of the road and checked under the hood. They noticed that the oil well was completely dry and no oil had ever been put in the truck. I immediately called the mechanic and confronted them about lying about the oil change and ruining my engine. They apologized profusely and promised to take care of everything right away. However, instead of doing that, they first tried to call and lie to my warranty company in order to get them to replace the engine again. I decided to look through my paperwork and called the warranty company myself because the mechanic told me they were waiting for a decision from the investigator from my warranty company. I called to clarify the situation because they had no right to put the repair on my warranty. When I spoke to the warranty company, they informed me about the false story they were told and we both realized that they had none of my actual information, not even my ID number from my license. They had someone else's information on my account. The warranty company spoke to me, got all my correct information, and flagged my account against Joe Basil Chevy. This whole transaction was a mess because it was done during the pandemic and the vehicle had to be delivered to me in the middle of traffic at work. I haven't had my vehicle for 3 months.
