JPMorgan Chase bilingual profiling

We have been longtime customers of a local bank which originally was Great Western, then Washington Mutual and now Chase. In all those years we never received or requested information in Spanish. When Chase took over the bank we started receiving information addressed to us in Spanish. What is upsetting is that they automatically assumed that we spoke Spanish based on our name and placed us on their bilingual list. I came to this conclusion because our daughter, who has accounts and has the same last name, receives her information only in English. I consider this racial profiling. It's one thing when someone requests information in Spanish and another when someone is automatically assumed to speak Spanish because of their name. Because of this we are now receiving offers in Spanish from other companies. Guess what? Those offers are Deep Sixed as we won't do business with anyone who assumes we speak Spanish. My ancestor's learned English and so should everyone else if they want to live here.

JPMorgan Chase michael colvin

My sister is an 86 year old with an advanced case of dementia. She was robbed, in my op[inion, by a broker at Chase Investment Services, which is a part of JP Morgan Chase bank.

The broker was well aware of her medical condition and sold her an investment in which HE and the bank made $10, 000. A complaint was registered immediately upon my being notified of the sales charge for this transaction. The answer from them came in the mail yesterday and it was full of, shall we say 'inaccuracies' that were totally self-serving.

I spoke with a broker at USAA and he told me that it would be unlikely that those funds would EVER be recouped in what is left of her lifetime.

I find it hard to believe that an 86 year old with advanced dementia would be out alone, much less doing any kind of business, without the assistance of a relative or caretaker with Power of Attorney. What did this person have to say about the transaction? Why did they permit it? If an 86 year old with severe cognitive impairment is allowed to attend to their own finances then I think the bigger issue at hand is neglect.

Advisors work very hard for their certification to assist people with their invesments and planning and are held to extremely high standars, similar to Doctors and Lawyers. Have you ever questioned your other professionals about their fees?

I am an expert and the sales charge should not be the focus here. This is how advisors get paid. They only receive a very small percentage of the salse charge and it is not always paid by the purchaser. (ie - the company you placed the investment with pays the sales charge-not the customer.) If you, the family member are NOT an expert, were not there at the meeting when the investment was decided upon and do not know the details on why the decision was made, then it would be inappropriate for you to determine that the investment was unethical. You cannot judge the viability of the invesment based on the comission-something that far too many people do. The reps do not earn hourly wages but are subject, especially in the bank setting, of working very long hours, assisting customers with their investments without earning a penny. If however the customer is truly in identifyable dementia and a sale took place, that should be looked at.

If what Chase did was illegal or unethical do not let this go. I'm no pro but wrong is wrong, and this matter needs some serious investigation by regulatory agencies. The BBB may get their attention. Hopefully there are more informed readers that are experienced in securities regulation and fraud. Good luck and keep us informed. Don't let Chase get away with this crime.

JPMorgan Chase unfair late fees and finance charges

I got a 0% finance charge loan from chase health advance for dental work. I always paid extra on the bill and always pay all my bills the day they arrive. In september I never received a bill and got messages from cha stating that my 0% finance charged was void since I was late on my payment and my interest would go up to 24.75% retroactive for my loan. When I explained I never rec'd a bill (I also then made a double payment) I was told I would be put in for a request to be reinstated for the 0% financing. I was denied. I then asked to talk to the top person, someone names cindy grobmeier and was told they did not have a number where to reach her... ?Are you kidding, what kind of company is this? They dont use coupon books so they send you a bill. You don't receive the bill so you have to pay 24.75% finance charge. ?! Are they not sending the bills on purpose so you get stuck paying the whole loan so you dont get slammed with a huge finance charge!?And why cant I talk to this " cindy" person? Can someone please answer me?
Im ready to get channel 3 on this, they are a horrible company!

When I was late with a payment earlier on, they called to ensure I knew it was due, and appreciated the call. Then I paid on time for the term of the loan (for dental procedure). Then I did not receive the LAST BILL. I happened to go in and found I still owed $148 left. I paid it 17 days late. But they claimed it was after the 0% period, so I owed the interest on everything. So they made sure I was on top of the payments. Then no bil for the final one, and I'm slapped with a bill for over $1, 300 when it should have been under $150. I called, and rep could not help. Then manager called me and repeatedly told me "fee is valid" over and over. Even when I mentioned that I never received the last bill, she stated that I should have knows it was due. I'm close to paying so it doesn't mess my credit, but feel I was deveived with them "happily calling" at first, and the no bill or notice with LAST payment that put me in this position. Please let me know if this is a matter we can escalate legally as this is just too convenient that the last bill doesn't get through in time.
Thanks- Ralf

On February 10th I received a loan for $5200 for cataract surgery.. The forms were provided to me from my doctor's office. The form indicated Chase Health Advance was the loan company. I agreed to a promotional period of 24 months with no interest charges if paid in full within the agreed time period. Also a penalty rate of 29.99% was to be applicable if your minimum payment was not received within 60 days of the due date. I had the due date which was Feb.10th (the beginning of treatment, the name of the company and the monthly payments for 24 months. I did not have an account number nor did I have an address to where I send the payments nor a phone number so I could call someone. I assumed the required information would be sent shortly. The only information I ever received from Chase was the Personal Information document. I then started receiving numerous phone calls. None of the phone calls provided the name of the caller so I assumed it was a solicitor. I finally received a voice mail message asking me to call them regarding an important matter. I attempted to call back on 2 occasions. I called back on March 10th and held 10 minutes without a response, the second time I waited 12 minutes again with no response. They again called back and I was available and spoke to a customer service rep. The rep said was late with my first payment and it was due in 5 days or I would receive a late payment and would begin receiving interest charges. I explained that I had not received any information from them regarding an account number, where the payments were to be sent and when they started. They said they sent it but could not provide me with a date it was sent. The rep said that this made no difference and the amount was due. I talked with another rep the 11th and was disconnected after explaining my complete concern. I called back again and could not speak with the person I had just talked to as they did not know who it was. I once again explained my problem and asked if I could make the full payment on the 23rd and the following payments by the 10th of each month since I had not received any information from them. I again was told that this could not be done. I then asked to speak to the supervisor. She said that they could not grant me my request and the amount was due. I then asked for the name of a vice president and the address where I could send my complaint and my request. The supervisor told me that this was confidential information and she would not give it to me. As a result I am submitting this complaint. I am going to follow the suggestion and send a complaint to the Board of Directors and hopefully will receive some help. I hope that enough complaints are filed against this company that something will be done about their unethecal practices.

I share your pain and have experienced the exact same senario. On top of it I have been lied to multiple times by Chase Advanced Customer Service Agents regarding the exact balance owed to make the next months payment whole. I also tried to pay the entire bill on November 11th, via credit card they stated my card had insufficient funds. Since this was not correct I conferenced an agent from Citi Credit Card in the conversation. The Citi agent proceed to tell Chase Health that sufficient funds were availalbe but Chase was trying to run the a cash transaction against the card instead of a credit transaction. Chase, who had previously swore that they never run cash transactions against a credit card, began to back track on their policy for taking credit card payments. Needless I will never do business with the company again and I will post on Facebook and Linkedin warning everyone I know to never engage in any business with Chase Health Advance. By the way, they are owned by JP Morgan Chase. Here is a link to the Board of Directors http://www.jpmorganchase.com/corporate/About-JPMC/board-of-directors.htm Please send a letter to each one of these individuals via their instructions. Also, file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission at www.ftc.gov and with your States Attorney General.

JPMorgan Chase refinance scam

Don't Deal with Chase for refinance or anything else! Been 2 yrs now trying to get a refin. or modification on my home loan. Fax papers, lost papers, pay new rate for 3 months trial, turns into 6 mths. then they deny me. Took money and applied it to the principal (not pay the escrow like they said they would), now out tax money as well! Decided after all this mess (never late on a payment by the way) to file Bankruptcy 7. What most people don't know is that if you just foreclose and walk way Chase (and another company) has up to 20 yrs. to come after you for the difference of $$ from the auction of the house vs. the loan amount. Check out your state laws to find out how long they have to come after you. We chose Bank. 7 cause they can't touch us. Such a tragic loss, have owned 5 homes and never missed a mtg. payment and still haven't, will file Bank 7 next week. Chase will never work or refinance your mtg., Obama plan is a joke. FYI during a "modification" they can also (without telling you) start foreclosure procedures. Next thing you know, your paying your modification and get a letter from a law firm telling you when the auction of the home is. Believe me, we did our research, found a rental home and locked in for 3yrs., and now were going to pull the rug out from Chase. Yes, they will write it off, but can't get anymore of my $$$$. Get a lawyer and get the facts. Next big business will be the collection of "owed" funds from all these foreclosers. People who walked away are in for a real battle, possible for years.

If you never missed a payment you would not qualify for a modification. A refinance is based on your credit so something is wrong here. You may want to contact them again and get some clarification. If you received a letter from attorneys office then they did not receive the full payment for whatever your loan status is...refinance or modification.

Then I got letters telling me I was denied because I didn't provide correct doumentation in timely matter. I think all these refi and government help programs are a joke.

JPMorgan Chase Mortgage Refinancing Scam - Short version - We've had a mortgage with Chase about 8 years - $400K house in Westmoreland w/ $50K loan balance @5.62%. No interest in refinancing. Out of the blue Chase rep calls wife's cell phone mid September. "How would you like to get a lower interest rate of 4.25 on your loan for $500?" What's in in for...

JPMorgan Chase fraudulent check and overdraft fees

On September the 27th, 2010 I was notified via e-mail that my account had been overdrawn. After some research on my part, I realized that someone was attempting to deposit a fraudulent check in to my checking account. I didn't have any funds at the time in my checking account, and I would have thought they would decline the transaction. Therefore, I immediately notified my bank (JP Morgan Chase, N.A.) and they reversed the charge. The next day I noticed I had an insufficient funds charge on my account for $34.00. Turns out that I had applied for a payday loan to cover some expenses and they attempted a fraud by writing a check for 34.19, on my account with the information that I had given them. I never did complete the transaction to take the payday loan.

I once again notified my Chase Bank through the number located on the back of my ATM card. I was told that I needed to go to the branch in person and that the overdraft fee would be refunded. And for my security they would put a freeze on the account, until I visited the branch to open a new account. A few days went by and I received another e-mail notifying me that my account was overdrawn again. I once again notified Chase and was told that although they reversed the original transaction for $34.19, that caused the overdraft. They could not reverse the overdraft fees associated with it because it was not a fault of their own that caused the overdraft to occur. My account now sits at -49.00 (34.00 Overdraft Fee, and $15.00 extended overdraft fee) because of a check they elected to go through at their discretion. If you ask me, they are attempting to profit off of my misfortune at their discretion. So I will be writing on every website and Federal Banking and Business Commission and Regulator at my discretion. I'm mad as hell and I'm not taking it anymore!

I became aware of the likely fraud being perpetuated on me and called the bank that had just accepted a wire transfer. I had all the account info and asked that the transaction be put on hold until the veracity of the account owner could be established. They, Chase Bank's Manager, laughed at me and hung up! They have not heard the last word from me.

JPMorgan Chase escrow added to payment without an agreement

This is to make others aware of the:
Nj home ownership security act of 2002 c.46:10b-22
"home owners insurance and property taxes are your responsibility. Not all creditors provide escrow services for these payments. You should ask you creditor about these services"
(The big banks) chase is taking the liberty to create / add escrows to mortgage payments without an agreement. They make decisions on their own without consulting owners. Some of us prefer to keep our money in our pocket and pay property taxes when due.
Chase is creating serious hardships by doubling-up the mortgage payments leading to foreclosures.

Is this how the big banks make profit? Is this how the big banks pay back the working class that has bailed them out with hard earned tax dollars? This is wrong and quite possibly illegal. If you have faced similar circumstances, please comment. We need to align ourselves against these illegal practices.

This is just another way for Chase to take your house. They make money from Foreclosing on you. Currently they have set up shell companies listed as LLC's under other names besides Chase to buy up Tax Liens as investments, and also pay your property taxes before they are due. I had the same thing happen to me. They paid my property tax before it was due. When I called to find out who paid it, the county tax clerk said it was paid by a Colvita Mortgage. When I asked who they heck that was, the clerk said "Oh thats Chase Bank". If you can afford it, I would consult with an attorney. Most of the information you get when you call Chase is all disinformation and lies. Their strategy is to frustrate you to the point you give up and throw them the keys.

I have just discovered that Chase has paid our taxes and added the escrow to our monthly payment. We had paid the taxes months ago and sent copies, faxed copies and called Chase. The woman I spoke with assured me that everything is fine. She said that we shouldn't worry because we have proof of payment. She said that she noted our file that the taxes were paid. Now four months later, hundreds of dollars added to the payment is terrifying. We have been struggling the way it is. My husband will be calling Chase tonight. From what I've read, it won't do any good. We have already gone through the program to lower rates and payments. They told us not to pay the monthly payment, then sent us a statement that we were delinquent. We called and were told that everything was fine, that it was just being processed and will take time for the system to catch up. We proceeded to make payments and found out three months later that we do not qualify for the program due to a clause in our mortgage contract. They would have taken our house from us if we had listened to them and not paid payments. Now they are paying our already paid taxes so they can add to the payment that we are already a little behind on. We are almost caught up. Do they really want our house that badly? Why are they doing this to everyone? What can we do? Please help before its too late for us.

JPMorgan Chase loan modifications

We have working on a loan modification for atleast the last 5+months. to get nowhere with them. Keep getting told that some piece of paper filled out still isnt right.
we redo the papers. refax, still nothing supose to call every week, inturn we to get the same answer all the time. that we need to submitt the packet which we have send every week again and again to get nowhere.
every month that goes by they keep tacking on late charges and so on.
foe the time that we have been filling these documents like they ask. the mortgage gets further and further behind. they will not accept any payments in the mean time. so now we owe 14, 000 accoedding to the so called people you do finaly get on the phone only to be transfered to a number that disconnects you.
if there is 400, 000 people who have recieved this so called loan modifications, where are they.
we have recieved a letter to start the forclosure, a hearing is set for the 14th of this month.
and sale is set for the 24th of november.
well isnt that nice of them.
constantly being tossed around from person to another, all the answer you get is that they no nothing about the loan modification, or another says the file was closed. then they say they will expidite the paper work, ya right. to who. no one.
that person you talk to at that time, then you cant never get ahold of them again.
then you get another person, here we go again.
there are people on here that have had the same ordeal with chase.
they have already said all that i could say the same about this so called loan modification. it is a big joke and a scam.
after all the BS. they pu you through.
they can sure file there papers quick though.
i have hired attorneys for this matter. for i am not going to let them have the pleasure of saying another one bites the dust.
chase is a legal scam. they have no intention of helping those who need it.
where are these people that have had there help.
chase has an add. where are these people. are they real or fiction.
they are here to help take your home from you when you are doing as they ask to get this so called loan modification.
we all need to stand together.
we cannot let these banks get the upper hand.

I was approved for the MHA program in March 2009. When I did not hear anything else from Chase, I contacted my congressman. In July, I was notified by letter that I was in fact in the program. Although, it took my Congressman's office for me to receive the letter. I was to be reviewed in November '09, having made my payments in a timely fashion. Of course, I was still receiving foreclosure notices. When I did not hear anything from Chase, I phoned in Feb '10 to inquire why my loan had not been modified. I was told I was kicked out of the system for not making the November payment. When she found I had made the payment, she placed me back into the program. They needed pay stubs and bank statements which I faxed the next day. I received another "Congratulations letter" for being in the program. I called in May to ask what in the world they were they doing. They then said they had not received the info requested, which I had confirmation but sent again. Also to ignore letter and continue payments. Now, after 18 months of payments they want to foreclosure on my home. I was told tonight by a Hope counselor it was because I have equity in my home and "they can make more money." I swear he said this to me! . Nevermind that I put down $60k on my $126k townhouse before the recession hit and made my payments religiously nor the fact that I made every payment for the last 18 months being in the program. My next step is to sue for fraud.

JPMorgan Chase misapplied funds caused me credit reporting errors

Incident
I was selling my home and it was closing on 21 July 2010. My payment was due 15 July, so I waited until closing since the payoff was sent for. The closing was pushed off until 31 July. I called Chase and told them the circumstances and they told me that if it didn't close, that I could spread the payment missed through the next six months and that my next payment wouldn't be due until 1 September. I said OK, let's do that since I was selling anyway. The sale fell through. I waited a week into August to find out if the buyer was going to figure out alternate financing. During this week, I was called several times by Chase, sent a foreclosure notice and they even went by my home and put a sticker on it saying it was vacant and charged me over $100 in fees. With all of this harassment, I decided not to wait any longer and made my catchup payments for July & August making me current. The harassment didn't stop. I couldn't figure out why until I received September bill and they didn't apply my payment to the Mortgage payments. They put it into principle only payments and had me as 2 months overdue. On 17 August (two weeks after my payment) they sent a negative notice to the credit reporting agencies that I was 30 days past due. I have perfect credit. They messed up my payments and I've never been late on any payments EVER! Why are they allowed to do this? Why can't I do anything about it? I'm not someone who is a credit risk and now my credit report shows that I am. If I could leave them, I would, but I'm stuck. I don't want to pay several thousand dollars to finance with another bank who may eventually sell it to Chase again!

Damage Resulting
They damaged my credit report and stressed me out a lot. I'm serving in the military and was in the middle of a permanent change of station while this was happening. It wasn't like I was being a deadbeat.

JPMorgan Chase sold mortgage

On Sept 16 I received a letter dated Sept 13 telling me that my mortgage would no longer be handled by Chase Home Finance as of Sept 30. Starting on Oct. 1, it would be IBM Lender Business Process Services, Inc. I called Chase but they were unable to answer why this was happening. I finally reached a person at something called "The Specialty Group" who I was told was handling my situation. She was less than helpful and when I asked to speak to a supervisor, she said "they don't know either." She would not transfer me to anyone. Does anyone know why Chase is selling off mortgages? I had to declare bankruptcy two years ago due to the financial crisis. I applied for a loan modification and have been in that process since May 2009. My original mortgage payment was $1910.10 per month. My loan modification payment was $1860 per month--- a whole $50 difference. Anyway, I have only been late once. I have lived in this house for 20 years and don't want to lose it. I am worried that IBM is some sort of hatchet outfit that Chase dumped all its "high risk" loans on. Does anyone know anything about IBM Lender? The name of it even sounds scary!

JPMorgan Chase escrow and tax error

I refinanced my loan with Quicken Loans and closed in May, 2010. They sold my loan to Chase in June. I received a "annual escrow balance" statement just before my 10/1/10 payment was due to be taken out of my banking account. The statement was dated 8/26/10. Chase had determined that I was to pay a $682 tax payment on 12/10, so they raised my payment ~$100.00. I called Chase and was referred to their Tax department. I told them that I had homestead exemption and I pay "0" taxes. Jessica of the tax department, told me that Quicken Loans had given them the tax amount of $682. She said they would do another tax analysis. I called Quicken Loans. Derrick in Client Relations at Quicken Loans said that Quicken Loans did NOT give them this tax amount. Quicken Loans has on record that I have homestead exemption. I called my Parish tax office, even knowing the answer, just to cover my bases. I still have homestead exemption. No surprise there! I called Chase back. I finally asked to speak with a manager. He said that they had "no idea" who put in that amount for my taxes or where the amount came from. They apparently have no quality control what so ever! He said that "anyone" from their tax department could put in any amount for my taxes, and they would have "NO" idea who did it, or why. I told him that he was not giving me much faith in their company. He did not apologize. He did not say that they would improve on their methods so this would not happen again. I asked if possibly this was a fraud attempt by someone in their office. I said that numbers do not magically appear on someone's account for no reason. He assured me that it would be "automated" from now on, and that I would receive a new escrow statement. What have they been doing before the "automation"? I have never heard a company representative sound so unaffected, and attempt to treat me like I am a ###. If they cannot track down who put in this bogus amount into my account, this company needs to overhall their entire tax department. As I have read here, this problem is not new either!

JPMorgan Chase refusal to open another account

I went to the Chase Bank in Riverdale, GA earlier in attempt to open a 2nd checking account since I already had one plus a savings account. I wanted a 2nd one for my own personal reasons but I only got the 3rd degree about it. The banker, a woman whose last name was Guerrero, I don't remember her first name, kept asking me what it was for and saying her manager didn't see the purpose of opening up another checking account like they were my parents or something. I didn't get why I had to tell them my personal business. I mean was trying to open an additional account and therefore giving them more business and I get interrogated about it like a criminal. You would think I was trying to get a million dollar loan or something. It made me feel incredibily uncomfortable like I was doing something wrong when I was merely just trying to open an addtional account. I mean seriously I have opened more then one checking account at other banks without them attempting to get into my personal business and countining to ask why and what I was going to use my account for (which was none of her business) instead of just opening the account. It's not right and as a customer I shouldn't have felt that way. After my pending transactions clear up I will be closing my account and going to another bank.

Did you have a coupon for 100.00? If you did they probably figured you were just opening it for the money.

They should have just said "no" instead of asking you specifics, though I think it's required to ask why in case you're looking for a business account or something.

JPMorgan Chase repo of car

Complaint detail

I was laid off on feb. 21st 2010. And I got behind on my car payments. Making minimal payments everytime possible. I was in contact with a woman named torrie pertrowski, and from the beginning I had the impression she was in the ceo"s office. Everytime I would contact her I would state that I was very grateful that the ceo"s office was helping me with this issue. I was never corrected after I said this to her. On may 27th I made a payment for $250, and on july 11th I made one for $400 (My monthly payment was $451). I was at my computer on july 22nd. When I heard rattling chains from outside. It was 2 guys with a flatbed were in my drive preparing to hook my car up and take it away. I ran out and said: what are you doing. They said we have papers to reposess this car. I told them to stop a minute, and that I had an agreement with the ceo's office to make payments. I ran inside and called torrie. She answered and I explained what was going on. I gave the phone to the driver, and after a moment of conversation he handed the phone back. Torrie said she would see what she could do and get back to me. Meanwhile, the two guys continued to take the car. One of them said when I get an issue I have to come back with a car. I then asked to get my belongings out and he wouldn't let me. The car was hooked up, and the flatbed started to pull the car with out the wheels moving. It actually left skid marks in my driveway that are still visible to this day. I went back inside to make calls (This was about 11am) when I called torrie back all I got was voice mail. Actually, I haven't spoke to torrie since. After about 8 phone calls I finally found an office that had my account information. No one ever heard of torrie pertrowski from the ceo's office. I finally thought I found the top supervisor (Mark hale) he was also giving me a hard time. I wasn't getting any answers, and I asked for the ceo's direct line. He said: "he didn't know it". I went to the computer, and found the information myself. Ceo of chase auto finance mark sheinbaum. I called and asked to speak with mr. Sheinbaum. He wasn't available, and a secretary took my information and said someone would get back to me. The following day ms. Ann marie detammaso returned my call. I told her my situation, and she told me torrie pertrowski did not work in the ceo's office. After reviewing my acct. We found out that my contact phone number was from about 2 years ago. This was actually verified everytime I spoke with torrie. Along with address and social security number. There was also notes for "no phone calls" on cell # [protected]) and the home phone # as well [protected]). Which is something I never requested. Anne marie was doing the best she could, but really couldn't make any decisions on the car being dropped back off to me. She put me in contact with tariq mccully (V. P.) on our first conversation he said: I would have to have a job for him to get the car dropped off to me". At that time I said to myself. I'm having a difficult time finding a job as it is. How am I going to pull this one off. Friday june 25, 2010. The census calls me for a job $18.50 an hour. I was amazed as anybody would be. I called tariq, and he said he would need information saying I was hired this went on for about a week. Each paper that the census office would fax for me wasn't good enough. Finally after four attempts anne marie contacted me and said: the last form sent was fine... Ok, my car will be dropped of to me... Not so fast. Tariq says I need to pay the past due amount of about $1200. He went back on his original statement of getting the car back to me if I proved I found a job. He didn't even consider the fact that ms torrie pertrowski portrayed herself as someone working in the ceo"s office helping me out. After weeks of going back and forth about everything that chase auto finance did wrong I still do not have a car. Although, anne marie said: I could go to the repo company and it wouldn't cost me. I just can't get 30 miles up to newark to pick it up. My car has been gone about a month, and it just seems no one is being of assistance... I have jobs I can take. But, I have no car. I had an interview scheduled from last week for wed. July 21st at 1pm. (At ups) that I had to cancel. I figured I would have had my car returned by now.

It is now august 24, 2010. I still do not have my car. I am waiting for reports from the better business bureau (Where 2 people working on my case both left there positions with the company), new york attorney generals office, and congressman leonard lance’s office. Any contact with chase auto finance has been with ms. Detammaso and has been basically “hashing” and “re-hashing” prior events. Everytime I reach out to ceo marc sheinbaum for a resolution to this problem I get voice mail or a secretary. Shortly there after I would receive a call from anna marie. Mr sheinbaum was on vacation from august 6, 2010 til august 16 2010. Recently I have had discussions with jeff levine (Atty for chase auto) on thursday augast 19th he said he would look into my account and get back to me. On tuesday august 24th I contacted adessa car auctions in manville, nj. There is where I found out my car was auctioned off on august 12, 2010. I then contacted congressman leonard lance’s office, and spoke to my case rep (Glen) he told me he heard that from ms. Detammasso on august20, 2010. Shortly there after my cell phone rang at 10:14am (August 24, 2010) it was mr levine and he wason the line with a woman named nancy on a three way call. They were going over my account, and over my past payments and agreements. Mr levine then wouldn’t let me correct some of their information that was wrong…. Also, I was trying to tell him it didn’t matter because my car was auctioned off….. He never let me get that out…. He said:” I would have to come up with the past due amount if I wanted to get my car back”. He continued to yell and hung up. I tried to call the number that was on my phone [ [protected]] back…. No answer.. No voicemail, either. I went to the white pages on the internet and did a reverse look up. To my surprise the number came up unpublished. I find that very odd for a law office. And, why would he want me to pay a past due amount when the car was auctioned off on august 12, 2010. It is now august 24, 2010. And no one has notified me that my car has been auctioned off………..in another note two witnesse’s (joy gutero and tamara calaxte) of my agreement with torrie pertrowski were told by ms. Anna detammasso to tell mr. Conrad “ if he has any new information to call me (Anna)”. The new information in both case’s was the fact that these two individuals new of a relationship between myself and ms. Pertrowski, and they were calling to tell ms. Detammasso. Joy gutero's supervisor hisseda ali called me on september 28, 2010. She said she knew of my case, and that I should "cease" calling ms. Gutero because she is not my point of call. She had a tough time accepting the fact that joy knew of my relationship. But, in the end she admitted that she also knew of problem.

JPMorgan Chase cancelation of debit card

I read in the newspaper that aldi grocery store had a computer breach, where debit cards were affected, and I called the chase operations number [protected] only to be connected to the fraud division. I then contacted its executive office at [protected] over the weekend, was told by rc that they would send us a replacement card with rush. Called again on monday am, talked to ew, who informed me that the card would be received this day, and when I asked for a tracking number, this was not available. I was told to call back in the afternoon or evening - still not a tracking number. I contacted them again on tuesday, 9/28/10, still no tracking number. Customer service then informed me that a replacement card was mailed out on 9.25.10 by snail mail, which can take seven (7) days. I was also informed that the replacement card was sent out today - but w/o any tracking number? I also asked, what kind of service - ups are they sending they the card? The rep. At the4 executive office didn't know - was told ups. Obviously she didn't know, that ups has several delivery services available. Again, chase doesn't care about its valued customers or they could have notified them in advance that debit cards are being closed. This bank has caused us a lot of inconvience and embarrassments.

JPMorgan Chase unauthorized access of safety deposit box

I am a victim of a very nasty and insidious form of identity theft that went on undetected by me for many years and is directly related to a financial trust instrument that is in the possession of several of my relatives.

I recently discovered that someone impersonating me gained unauthorized access to my safety deposit box at the Chase Bank location of 2700 Yulupa Avenue, Santa Rosa, CA, 95405. There were signatures that look exactly like mine on the card, but at least three of them were recorded on dates when I can prove I was at work 42 miles away and would not have been able to be in the branch.

The annual fee for the safety deposit box was taken out of the checking account associated with the box on September 7th, 2010. I closed the box on September 25th, 2010, because my belongings in the box are not safe if someone impersonating me can successfully access them. The branch refuses to acknowledge the fact that someone impersonating me successfully accessed my safety deposit box, and they would neither allow me to have a copy of the signature record card associated with the box or a refund of the $55.00 annual fee I paid on September 7th.

Chase Bank is taking the position that no one other than me could possibly have had access to the safety deposit box; however, since my home is being broken into by intruders on a daily basis (who are going right past an alarm system as though it isn't even there), and since I discovered copies of documents from the safety deposit box had been brought into my home when I did not bring them into my home myself, there is no doubt whatsoever in my mind that my safety deposit box was accessed by someone who quite successfully impersonated me.

What I want to know is why Chase Bank can get away with refusing to refund my $55.00 safety deposit box fee when my belongings were not in fact safe in their bank branch?

JPMorgan Chase unauthorized debit card transactions

Had six charges of unauthorized activity and as soon as I noticed them, notified the bank and explained that I did not make the charges. Was told by their debit card resolution department (which is in the Manilla, Philippines) that I had to prove I didn't make the transactions. How the heck do you prove you didn't make the transactions if you didn't in the first place. Both the claims representative and her supervisor were rude and argumentative. When I called their regular customer service department he told me they were in the Philippines as well. So I called a local branch who told me there wasn't much they could do. The six unauthroized transactions caused six overdraft fees as well.

Someone managed to skim or copy my card and did $1400 in small transactions over 2 months. Mostly at a local Chase Bank atm and a few at grocery stores and drug stores within a 4 block area of my home. Mostly late evening and middle of the night. And one while I was actually at the bank having my cards canceled. Chase refuses to refund me a single penny because I have used those stores before. I've lived here for 3 damn years, of course I've used them. Their fraud dept even emailed me a security camera picture of a man I've never seen, that looks nothing like me, using a card at their atm, withdrawing $60 from my account after midnight. I was at home, in bed, with my card in my wallet. I took that picture to my local branch and they still refuse to help me. ### Chase Bank. ###ing theives.

This does not make sense. If you didn't make the transactions then why would you be responsible? You just have to tell them you would like to do a fraud claim. I am sure they did not say prove it, unless the debit card was used with a pin number. They can tell if it was keyed in or swiped and if a pin was used.
