making home affordable
This October will mark one year sending over 200 pages (faxes) to Chase. I have not worked since 2008, my unemployment ran out last April. Chase still has not modified my Loan. As of today they want more documents. In June they denied me because I did not get a letter from my state agency proving I was out of unemployment! I had to pay $200.00 to a lawyer ( that really did not help) to start the process all over again. According the Making home Affordable rules they are supposed to make it happen within 30 or 90 days. The problem is they have no legal ramification if they don't do the modification.
I called the US Treasury in April - Chase has not contacted them! The Treasury has my complaint and its at the supervisor level ! They can't do anything until Chase calls them! I told Chase to call them and they told me we more documents. !
My House is not behind, never has been. I'm 100% on my family. This whole process is a scam. I need some good lawyer or someone to help... OHh.. I called the 1800 hope, they send you to a agency that will help you call Chase.. They have no real power! One agent said the bank should do a HARP over the phone after all this time.. We got discounted. The agent counselor has not called me. ! I called the supervisor yesterday so far no call! Chase gives you the run around when ask for the HARP modification. I need help..
misappropriation of funds
Chase Home Finance, LLC has been trying to bully its way into foreclosing on my property. I have been making my monthly payments without missing any. I began getting letters that my account was delinquent. They stopped accepting my payments in June 2010. In late June they gave me an ultimatum to pay nine months in arrears or they will foreclose. Although I knew I was up to date on all my payments, I sent them a cashiers check for ten months instead of nine. They cashed it, but did not post it. They returned a second cashiers check for the month of August 2010. Thank God that I keep records. I have Chase Bank receipts for the last three cashiers checks payments, and I have cancelled checks for all my previous payments.
I wrote my Congressman over a month ago. I finally received a call from a Chase representative in response to my congressional complaint. This person was very diplomatic and listened. (As opposed to all the other representatives that made my life miserable over the course of months.) This person acknoledged receiving my hugh payment which covered ten months, but did not know why it was never posted. This person also said that they were aware that an August payment was returned to me. This person said that Chase will post my payments and that I had overpaid. Wow! Unreal! Where did this come from? God provided! I enquired as to my last 9 payments which were not posted. I believe Chase committed Fraud by cashing these checks and not posting them. I will check with my lawyer!
collecting escrow, not paying bills
Chase Home Finance. Let's face it, none of us get to choose our Mortgagee - they get sold so often, you end up with what you get. In my case this was Chase, unfortunately. At some point in the past 6 months, they just stopped paying the insurance (for which they are collecting via Escrow). Several calls to them gives me the run-around. In summary, yes, they are collecting insurance into escrow. And no, they are not paying insurance. My question is why?
They were kind enough to suggest I should be happy and consider this "an interest free loan". Excuse me, I'm the one giving them cash up front for bills they are not paying!
I eventually had to pay for the insurance to get my house back into the safety zone, since it had been cancelled. All the while, I'm still paying Chase for the insurance as well.
I requested escrow be released and to pay taxes and insurance myself, so I don't have to pay for these things twice. They denied my request. So, I'm basically getting robbed every month by Chase Home Finance, and there's nothing I can do about it.
Stay away - if you can.
failing to release homeowners check for ice storm damage
I had ice storm damage to my home in feb. 2010. My insurance company inspected the damage and issued a check, which I had to forward to chase. To this date, they are nitpicking and giving excuses as to why they have not released the check so that I can get the repairs done so that no one gets injured from the porch roof that is practically falling down. Since then, I have had large amounts of water that has came into the basement which has rusted my gas line and resulted in a major gas leak in my home which cost me another 1000.00 dollars. I call chase on a daily basis, and everytime I call, they have a different story or excuse on where my check is. The damage to my exterior and interior is getting worse with each rain storm that comes through. I have followed all instructions that was stated in their packet. The letter in the packet states that once they receive all documents, that the first 10, 000 dollars will be released, now they tell me that only half of the check will be released. Half of the amount that they claim they will release, will not cover the exterior damage. I am fed up with calling them and getting a different story each time. I just want my repairs done before someone gets severely injured or killed by the roof that is ready to fall since it has gotten worse. I was told that once they receive all documents the check will be released in 3 days, now they are telling me that it takes 3 days to process. This is definately fraud, and something should be done about this. This is a nightmare and has gotten me totally frustrated and stressed
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
they will only release the money to the contracor or company who is doing the repairs...they will not release the money to a homeowner. They have it set up like this because homeowners where spending the money and not doing the repairs. Find a contractor who specializes in working with insurance repairs and he/she will know what to do
chase deceptive practice
I'm the holder of Chase Freedom credit card account #5401 xxxx xxxx 8631 since Mar 2007 and never miss a payment. My credit line on the account is $15.000. The main reason I use this card because Chase named it Freedom and it has unlimited 1% cash back.
On August billing cycle, I use the card for merchandise purchase total worth $60.000. I then made all the payment at Chase bank in cash before I reach the limit so I can keep using it.
Chase closed my account on August 16 and send me letter saying that because I using the card and built up too much rewards. They decide to close my account so they don’t have to pay out my rewards. They also said my credit is no good and I’m not experience to handle debt. Total rewards around $600 for the billing cycle plus another $100 from last month billing cycle. My credit score have no marks, and over 750 in FICO score.
As of August 28 billing cycle, my account has $14.485, 88 in credit balance. I had been contacted Chase 3 times since the day account was closed for the refund balance on my account. The answers from Chase I'll have to wait for them to verify the payment which all was made by cash, the payment not clear, blah blah and they don’t know how long it take to complete. It's my money and they keep it without paying any interest.
On August 31 2010, I contacted the BBB and Attorney General Office for help. On September 02 2010, Chase mailed out the refund check for $14, 485.88 and I deposit the check on my bank account on September 07 2010. On September 08 2010, they made the stop payment on the check. The check returned non sufficient funds and there overdraft and other NSF charges on my checking account and other people accounts that I wrote the check for them.
I contact Chase executive officer Elisabeth at [protected] ext 7185 for answer and she told me to wait for another 60 days for them to verify the credit balance on my account with other merchants that issue credit back on my account. This is unacceptable and breaking the law. She told me that I have no other choice and have to wait at least 60 days from September 10 2010 for them to start issue the refund.
As of today September 20 2010, the credit balance $16, 098.94 on my account and they keep holding on my money. And also they making my checking account and other people accounts incured overdraft fees for their stop payment on the refund check.
They acting as a giant commercial bank and they decide what ever they want to do. It been a lot of hassle to deal with them and it was my money and all they have is to return it to me which they did not.
I found the link below which answer about consumer loan refund from Controller of the Currency Administrator of National Banks saying they must refund the money within seven business days.
http://helpwithmybank.gov/faqs/loan_balance_refund.html
Chase using deceptive practice to bailout my rewards, now they try to bail out my money. This could result ruining my whole family financial cause by holding on my money, I'll make sure they responsible for it.
Time to switch to local banks and credit union.
As an ex employee - Paying large amounts in cash is a very big mistake. Federal Law states that the bank need's to finds out where the cash came. For all they care, your cash could have come from the Colombian drug cartel or Islamic terrorist.
Wow that is messed up...HOWEVER, I don't understand why they just "closed" your account.
rip off
I was looking for work at home opportunities and somehow this Chase Morgan Marketing got my debit card number. Many sites ask for info and then at the end of the process they tell you how much they cost, so you cancel, but somehow they got my numbers anyway. I was charged $87.42 and calling their number [protected])or emailing them ([protected]@dexso.com) produced no results. I don't know what city they are in and it makes me think that there has to be some way to prevent such scammers from operating since I see this same outfit has been doing this for some time now and its still going on. I called my bank and they were kind enough to refund my money and I had to change my debit card number to prevent them from charging me again. Watch out for "Work at Home" opportunities and NEVER give out your credit card numbers to any site over the internet unless you KNOW they are legit. Thank God I have a bank that understands these things.
i was looking for a work at home opportunity and i came across this website totalworkathomefreedom and was convince about it and asked for $4.77 to start with so i authorized that amt. but after aweek this chase morgan dexso i don't even know this company did anauthorized transaction on my debit card in amount of $87.42 and i did a research finally found a ph# [protected] but it's a recorded voice you can't leave a meassage so i emailed still no response. I don't where they got hold of my debit card so i reported it to my bank to dispute the amount.
I was ripped off. I want to taken off yor books & never charged.
I have tried contacting the company via email(s) and all of the phone numbers associated with the account and I too have had no response. I have left messages on the personal voice mails and also tried contacting the main office managers numbers that I was given after trying to withdraw funds from my account and found out that it was totally empty. These people had made 3 un-authorized transactions and I have yet to be notified or able to contact them to question them concerning why. I'm un-employed and in need of work as everyone else desiring to find legit jobs who applies and this is totally un-ethical, illegal, and down-right hateful. Trust me when I say that if we all are not compensated, their judgement day still awaits! I'll just continue to pray for your soles.
i just signed up for this too and i cannot get no response or an email, and i know they know im pissed cuz ive left messages on the answering machine. I demand my money back and i agree we should actually sue these guys.
Perhap you would like to try 'Paypal' the next time you purchase or wish to be paid online. It has been pretty safe for me & I believe most users. As for the search for work from home business, I can share your sentiment as I have been looking around about it for a fair deal & also lose a fair deal of money myself on scam sites too.
You may wish to take a look at this program below & see if you might find it interesting. The money-making part is needless to emphasize so lets hope we all can do well enough soon to retire early.

I paid 9.00 for the disk because it was the shipping and handling. And I looked a week later and my account was charged the 87.42 also I am not happy with that because I called the number and I didn't get any results. Now I have to call my bank and have them try to do something about this because that is ridiculous. I will not be doing this again. It website also took me through other people to do the home business but I denied it.
I had the same thing happen to me, it is good to know that they won't give your money back, just hopefully my bank is as understanding as yours and will give me my money back, even if I have to change my card number. Thank you
Any one know a good attorney?
Wow! The exact thing happened to me. I think it is definitely time for a class action law suit!
you tell us to go here if we need help, well the only hepl I need from you mis to to return the money you took out of my account without my authorization
now I havae to go and make a police report to get the bank to refund my money would it not be eaiser if you just did that. But you also set up a phony web site refund@dexso.com that does not work. It sad that you have to take advantage of people, when work is hard to find and money is thigt, you kepp getting richer from our hard earn money that you take illegally. Im sure there are many out there like me that are a fixed income and thrying to find a way to make money at home because it is easier then to go out and work
I hope that if you get enough fraud charges aganist you ths site will be shut down so more people will not get taken advantage of
unlawful practice of charging interest on the 1st statement
Chase issues credit cards for Pier One. I have a platinum card. I charged $102.66 and paid the amount in full by the due date (through online banking). Chase did not credit the payment until the following day and then charged me a late fee of $10. This past month I charged $765.89 and just received the statement today with a due date of 9/27/2010. There is an interest charge of $8.94 on the balance owed! How can one have interest on an account paid in full the month before and then have interest on a new balance not yet due! There is no way you can ever pay off the balance as it will continue to accrue interest! Predatory credit practices that supposedly were outlawed. Chase should be put out of business.
Since you can not see the statement or the online banking info or the emails back and forth between Chase and me, I understand your lack of belief. Chase has finally taken off the late fee after their own records do not jive with their statement (two different received dates) and also the interest charges on the average daily balance on what I charged this current period. I'm over this company as this is not the first time in the last few months this has happened. I believe their hope is people will not read their statement carefully and they can get away with extra charges. Anyway, I am now resolved and I will no longer use the card. I only used it to earn rewards certificates at Pier One. It is interesting to read the emails back and forth as they assigned my email to a different person each time. No consistency of answers and when all emails bundled as one and asking them to please explain, suddenly all charges are taken off.
Sorry to both of you. I paid via online banking and they received the payment by the due date.
The interest was on the new charges not what was paid in full the previous month by their own account at chase. I am not a dumbo who does not understand the billing cycles.
Then why were you charged a "late" fee if your payment was received on time? Something just doesn't add up
correctly. Either your payment was late or Chase charged the late fee penalty incorrectly and should be refunded.
No interest should accrue if your payment was posted appropriately on time.
From my perspective, Chase is billing you appropriately and they are in no way employing "predatory credit practices". Sorry if you are having difficulty understanding that paying online on the due date but after the cutoff time does make your payment late ---
You did not pay your balance in full prior to the due date (charged a $10.00 late fee). Interest accrues based on whether you have a zero balance on the DUE date, not the statement ending date. The interest charges are for the initial charges of $102.66 and unless you pay your full balance now owed by the DUE date, you will have additional interest accruing on your current charges.
It is important to remember when paying online that you submit your payment prior to the cutoff time (usually 2 or 3pm Eastern time). If your payment is submitted after that cutoff time, you are officially LATE and interest applies from the date of purchase. The only way to avoid any interest charges is to pay the full balance prior to the DUE date.
Scheduling automatic payment through your online banking system helps to avoid these types of mistakes.

harassment
My daughter has a student loan with jp morgan chase. she is still attendng school. she has spoken to them
quite a few times already and has sent them the information and documents they requested. We are being
harassed. Chase calls from all different tel#s every day morning, afternoon and night. Weekends and Holidays.
I am so nervous and my daughter is so nervous. I have hives and had to seek a dermatologist. My daughter hasy
Crones Disease and Ulcerated Colitois and she is very nervous and it is making her conditions worse...
It is against the law to harass us and please help us to have them stop and we want to be compensated for
our health issues that JP Morgan Chase has given us..

I'm sure he went to grade school but couldn't pay attention with all the flerting going on.
25 minutes? Are you sure? did you learn how to count before you dropped out of grade school?
forevearance, modification, then transfer
After being unexpectedly laid off in November, 2009, due to a refinery closing, I became behind in my mortgage payments, and subsequently agreed with Chase Bank to make "forebearance" payments for three months. Much to my surprise, the "forebearance" payments actually went "UP" about $55 a month. Nonetheless, I made the payments as agreed upon, and filed all necessary paperwork for Modification. I made all payments via Western Union every month, on the first of the month. My first payment was in January, and after making consecutive payments up to and including July, when I called to verify payment I spoke to Customer Service rep and was informed my modification had been approved...on June 21st...After learning of this great news, I was informed to watch for new loan paperwork in mail, which never arrived. On July 19th I received a letter in mail advising me Chase had transferred my loan to IBM Lender Business Process Services, effective August 1, 2010. When I FINALLY contacted someone at IBM that I could actually speak to (after 6 calls, over 4 hours of wait) I was informed that no such paperwork stating my loan had been modified had been received from Chase. I tried making payments online, and nothing happened. I did a loan research to see if my loan was "owned" by Fannie Mae, and of course, it was. I then contacted Fannie Mae "HOPE" helpline, and conference call was made to Chase, Loss Mitigation Office, and during that concerence I was again told my modification had been approved on June 21, 2010. Chase assured me they would "expedite" all paperwork to IBM, telling me that terms set forth by Chase "should" be grandfathered in to new loan. Well, here it is late August, and all I get is a couple of letters from IBM telling me I am still in "foreclosure" status to the best of their knowledge, and not one word of what my payments with them would of should be. I am at a loss, as this has now been 8 months of pure hell... Anybody have any suggestions? I am at wits end.

Just wondering the outcome as our book reads about the same...
mortgage insurance
Very upset with Chase, they hold the mortgage to my property at 3101 Eden Drive abingdon, md 21009
When I purchased the home 5 years ago I submitted my insurance policy which is a perpetual policy by Baltimore Equitable Company. This insurance is perpetual, it lasts until the day I sell my property. I have not been notified of a problem since 2005. Now all of a sudden they claim there is a lapse in my policy and I do not have a policy. I have called them many times and documented names and dates to no avail. My insurance company has faxed them my policy. The last person, Lisa Matthews who I spoke to assured me the problem was handled and that I would receive a credit for the $318 and a letter to that effect. After waiting 11 days and no letter I just got a hazard policy they bought for me and debited my account to the amount of $1613. I called again today and spoke to a Ms. Taneka Osbourne who stated there was no documentation of a letter ever being sent out. She stated she would handle the situation and make sure my account is credited and I will receive a letter. I am beside myself, I keep going around in circles with this company. I leave messages for the people I have spoke to earlier but no one returns my phone calls. I feel totally exploited that someone would purchase a policy for $1613 when they run $350! Someone is definitely making money over there.

account illegally used
After opening a second user account from Chase Paymentech, someone had illegally used our account to run thousands of transactions. Chase Paymentech refuses to reimburse our fees. They say that from experience the user has ALWAYS given out their username and password and that they have never been hacked into nor do they have any dishonest employees. They will not give me a copy of the investigation report unless I talk to their legal department first.

mortgage application - very slow processing
We applied for an FHA loan on a condo with "perfect" credit on February 6, 2010 and as of August 16, 2010 the JP Morgan Chase mortgage department still hasn't gotten their Condo Approval Department to approve it and submit it to FHA for approval. And we thought the government was going to be the slow ones! One JPMC department is not allowed to call the other one; there apparently are no defined requirements as to documents that the Condo Department wants the Mortgage Department to submit to them for approval; no process to break through bureauacracy and help the customer. So we sit and continue to wait ... and wait ...
chase bank is holding the second on a property we offered on several months ago. They are incredibly slow...and they don't care to get properties off their hands! the first position bank already responded favorable and now chase just has to sign off the deal. they are holding up the economy! with slow movers like this, who wants to buy a home? the government should lay down the law and force a time limit on these banks when an offer is in hand! Shame on the banks for hoarding and profiting off our bad economy.
We have been waiting 7 weeks and it is one excuse after another.
paperless statements, new annual fees, account closure, and credit ding
Here's one.
My Providian account was acquired by Chase last year.
My account had been paid off since October 2009. I had no reason to expect that I should be carrying a balance and no idea that Chase had switched me to paperless statements.
Then, Chase decided to charge me an annual fee without my knowledge in February 2010.
Chase failed to notify me that I had a past due amount (new annual fee) by email and phone.
Chase automatically refunded the annual fee (how generous) then closed my account. Now they plan to report my "delinquency" and account closure to the credit agencies.
My credit WAS immaculate. Now it is not.
Chase is ruining my credit rating--and probably the ratings of others as well.

stopped dead in their tracks
I'm happy to say that this company won't bve gettibg anymore money from me. After they took 87.42 out of my account yesterday. I went to the bank today and disputed the transaction and i'll be getting my money back. Thank-god! Even tho I had to cancel one card and get another at least they won't be getting anymore from me. I'm still pursuing this so if anybody has anymore to add to this let me know! Thanks, Deb email me at [protected]@ymail.com please put in the subject box SCAM thanks
very big scam
I to got scammed I have called them several times, and sent plenty of emails. Still no CD like promised, I see how they get you, you pay $4.77 for the CD and you have 10 days to view it and see if it's right for you if not you have the option to cancel. Well, I didn';t even get that option. I have contacted fox 6 news to help me with this. I won't let them get anymore of my money. I think these people should be punished fully for taking avantage of innocent people. Like me for instance PLEASE BEWARE!
Writing for my friend, Carolyn W. about Gabelle Kennels owned by Carol Sutton. It is located in NY. My pup was born 2/24/19 and was beautiful. Drove from CT and met "Mike" in Albany, NY to pick up my puppy. There were 5 others picking their puppies. Now..August, 2020 she began to stop eating, became lethargic and was not her "normal" happy, playful self. After, blood tests, Xrays and exams by two different Vets, she was diagnosed with Shakers disease..a neurological disease. I called Carol Sutton to ask for parental info and she just said that she heard of Shaker disease but none of her dogs had. She has answered the phone since. This has cost thousands and my poor, sweet girl suffers. There is no cure. What I would like to know is: Does anyone else who has purchased a Westie from Carol Sutton or Gabelle Kennels in NY state? Both vets said this is genetic. She will not even reply. I still love my dog very much but I would like info.
scam
I also ordered the cd f0r $4.77 and still haven't received it. I have tried several times by calling/emailing and nothing. I have contacted contact six and hoping somebody will get a hold of somebody at that phone number. The funny thing is I've been scammed in the past several times, even got my story on the news. Guess if it sounds to good to be true then you know it's not right. Of course again I had to find out the hard way. So anyways, this was on a legitimate page that's why I didn't check it out. I guess there's no legitimate company out there, if there is please tell me where. People like this should be punished by the people they scam. Boy, wouldn't we have fun with them. :)
harrassment
Chase student loan has been extremely rude and unethical since my student loan has been in repayment. Due to the economy there's just not enough money to go around. I graduated from college have a great job using my degree but the cost of student loans is crazy. When you have daycare, car payment, gas, food on the table and a mortgage student loans are the last thing to get paid. Sorry. Ive already filed bankrupsty and there's still not enough money to go around.
The customer service at Chase is unprofessional and rude. Usually the first line of folks are robots and say what they are told. However, when i ask to speak to a supervisor and the supervisor starts calling me names and becomes very unruley...that's where i draw the line. Chase has called me in any one given day 15-20 times they have called my parents the same number of times over a simple name change. A few days late on my loan and i'm already in their collections. Sorry chase but you are loosing business by treating your customers so badly. I may not be able to get rid of my student loan...but everyone of my family and friends who had a chase credit card, loan or anything else has cancelled it or moved it or consolidated it so they are not doing business with you any more. You need a system that updates information in real time. Having to have my information changed 4 times in one day with 4 different people and being accused of never calling or never paying is outragious, rude and looks very very bad on you!
I hate your company and i'll always be as rude to your staff as they are to me. You caused me to have high blood pressure during pregnancy from the stress of dealing with your staff. I could give out emp #'s and names...but who know where this email is even going to go.
Good luck with the people you manage. Good luck getting customers after people hear what kind of business you are. No one in my family will be using your services.!

I've had the same problem. People keep harassing me even though I'm paying the minimum each month, I don't know hat actions I can take to prevent this from happening. If anyone can help me lmk [protected]
wow so im not the only huh. Those chase collectors are the worst. i just want to know what action can they take if the full amount is not paid off. i offered them small amounts but instead they want more and more. they offered me to settle but the settlement would have to be paid in full smh. what actions do they take if they do not get the full amount or any?
I actually thought I was the only one going through this with Chase. I have requested a forbearance due to medical reasons. They were unsympathetic and rude. I am not even sure the know the difference between wages and disability. I have been dealing with leukemia for over a year now and I was upfront with them in hopes they would be understanding, they were not. Horrible company! I will keep trying and hope the best for everyone who is having difficulty with Chase.
I agree with all that is said about Chase Student Loans. I became disabled and was unable to complete my college education, I had to file bankruptcy due to my health condition, and Chase stated that because they are a "Student Loan" they could not be included in the bankruptcy (this statement is true). However, my Federal Student Loans were discharged due to my disability and inability to pay based upon SSDI and my physician's statement...NOW Chase is stating that they are a "Private Loan Company" and are not required to adhere to the same requirements as a "Student Loan". Quite a change in attitude, and quite a lie, as my bankruptcy is now long gone. They have indicated that there is no way that I can NOT repay them, despite living on SSDI benefits of less than $1400/mo, (due to medical reasons), with payments that exceed $300/mo. To me this is a double standard, and I am currently looking for advise on the internet and/or other resources to find out what I can do to stop having to repay a loan-that went 100% to a college for a partial degree that I will never be able to use. I feel (as those who have stated above) that I am in a "no win" situation with this company.
I'm trying to find a way to consolidate the loan I have with them and move it to a different bank. Thanks Stephany1234 for the advice I think im going to look into that. I have a deferred student loan that isnt even up yet and they are for some reason calling my dad (co-signer) looking for payment. They call him 3 time or more a week. You know how many times they have called me? NONE. It makes no sense that they are harrassing my dad but not call me once. I called and told them this and they gave me a bunch of excuses and promises that this wont happen again. I even had them look at the account and tell me that there is no payment even due yet. Well they are still doing it and I'm so sick of big businesses harrassing the little guy that hasnt even done anything and getting away with it. My father is sick and doesnt need deal with this. Chase is a bunch of low lifes.
I agree with all of these complaints. Chase is one of the worst lenders out there (whether it's Chase student loans, banking, credit cards. Ive had them all). In regards to the harassing collections calls, my advice is to send them a cease & desist letter informing them they cannot call you/ your cosigner/ references/ or relatives at all. Make sure you send it certified so that you have proof they received it. They have to abide by law or you can sue them. You may also find cease & desist templates online. Hope this helps meanwhile.
They would not work with also and I asked that they not call my job as I was afraid of being terminated. Just hung up on Misty as she call my job.
They are terrible. My sister has been trying her best to pay what she owes but they refuse to work with her. They call non stop and lie about whether they have talked to her. They call my mother and say they never spoke to my sister. On months she can't pay the full amount she sends a partial payment and they call my mother expecting my mother to pay the rest. They care nothing about the hardships that people are going through in this economy. They sent my sister to collections even though they recieved money from her every month. It may not have been the full amount of what her payment was supposed to be, but it was something. My take is that as long as some form of payment is being made they should not be sending people to collections. People are struggling and they are adding to it.
I totally agree with all of these comments being posted! Chase is horrible!
I had my student loan for $9, 000.00 and my daughter wound up with extreme health issues so I had to put off school for a while and planned on going back to school to finish my degree, but now I cannot get back into school thanks to Chase! But I have found a banckruptcy lawyer that informed me that I CAN get this type of loan from Chase discharged! Once they start to shift off to collection agencies then they are showing that it is not a student loan etc...easiest way to explain it! They were previousily calling me and I asked for hardship deferments etc...they would not do it. Then they started calling my mother and my sister-in-law and telling them of my credit situation with them etc...it was not their entitlement to do this and a total invasion of my privacy which is a violation! My attorney said Chase is not well liked by alot of courts and most judges are more favorable to discharge loans...a so happy plus on my side and knowing to never to deal with this company on any aspects.
Should of listened to my parents when their bank & mortgage was bought out by Chase and they had to take them to court because Chase was claiming they owed almost double on their mortgage then what it was originally with their primary bank...Chase lost that case and my parents house was written off and totally paid for thanks to Chase's apparently "dumb" people working for them!
Chase is so good at threating people but they are NOT at all good with helping people! This is ONE BAD BANK...that so needs to be gone!
Hello there. I completely 100% agree with you. I am about $600.00 dollars behind but the last two months I have been making my monthly payments. I have called Chase Bank several times to work it out with them and they refuse to help at all. They wouldn't give me a lower payment or deferment so I could catch up. I like many others have a ton of other bills and a crap load of other school loan bills I am paying. Every school loan company besides CHASE bank has helped me so I can make payment that I can afford. The first time I called to make my payment over the phone they told me I don't look like someone that is ever planning on paying my loan. Even though I was calling to make a payment. They almost made me cry. Well I have had enough I received a call at my new job, I don't know how Chase Bank got my work number but they keep calling my work. I have told them to remove the number because I could get in trouble since it is a new job and they don't care and keep calling. I finally answered them at work and they asked what my situation was and I told them the same thing I had told them last month. Then they said well your co-signer should pay the $600.00 off. I told them my cosigner can not afford it I think 5 times, and they just kept telling me how I signed up for this loan and blah blah blah. I do understand I signed up for it and that I do owe them the money. But I am making my payments regularly now and just need to catch up on $600.00, and CHASE doesn't care about anybody but their money, they are not personable whatsoever and seem like they have no feelings. They do nothing but harass me on the phone. I finally had to tell the lady I will pay when I can and when she said "You will not pay when you can, you need to pay now!" that was the end of it. I guess they don't care to make future business with others because I would never use them again. I will be changing my cell phone number once again today and make the payments I have been making. It's sad that they almost get me in tears at work over $600.00 it's not like I'm behind thousands of dollars. What a horrible company.
bad business practice!
In September 2009 I made an on-line purchase using my bank debit card. Shortly after that, two unauthorized charges were made on my bank card ($79.95 & $2.38), which resulted in three overdraft charges of $33.00 each! I notified my bank and filed a report. But while in the process of taking care of it, my bank (Washington Mutual) was bought out by Chase Bank, and even though I submitted all my documentation to them over and over and over again - Chase Bank has FAILED to reimburse the unauthorized charges and has REFUSED to reverse the o/d charges! CHASE BANK HAS DONE ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM! The Florida State Attorney General's Office got involved about six months ago, but a year has gone by since I was ripped off by the scam company HEALTHCLNS/CLEANWHITES and Chase Bank STILL has done nothing! Can someone tell me how I can get Chase Bank to take care of this?
Good luck!
