I've ordered a bunch from Ken's Sewing Center and they're always super helpful
I've ordered a bunch from Ken's Sewing Center and they're always super helpful. The orders get sent out real fast too! If I ever need something, I can just give 'em a call and talk to someone, and they're all real friendly!

I made an order on May 18th, and they sent an email on May 19th saying the shipping label was made. It's been two weeks now, and there's been no update. I've emailed them twice, but no response. When I called, the voicemail box was full. I don't know what else to do. I shouldn't have to go through so much trouble just to get an update. I think I'll have to dispute the charge with my credit card.
I gotta say, after reading some bad reviews, I just had to chime in
I gotta say, after reading some bad reviews, I just had to chime in. I've bought stuff from Ken's Sewing & Vacuum Center a bunch of times, and let me tell ya, they ship real fast. Every time I get my stuff, it's in tip-top shape. I haven't bought a machine, but I've snagged some Bernina accessories and other goodies. I'd definitely buy from them again.
I bought a refurbished Janome HD in April last year
I bought a refurbished Janome HD in April last year. I've been having issues with the tension since I got it. I've called customer service many times, but no one picks up or calls back. I feel cheated. I should've paid an extra $100 for a new one from a trusted seller. I'm really sad.
Ken's Sewing & Vacuum Center is definitely my number one choice when it comes to buying sewing machines
Ken's Sewing & Vacuum Center is definitely my number one choice when it comes to buying sewing machines. The owner, ***, was super helpful and took the time to discuss various machines with me over the phone. His expertise and professional approach made it easy for me to find the perfect machine for my bag making business. Plus, my order arrived in perfect condition and really fast. I can't recommend Ken's Sewing Center enough! They deserve an A++++++ rating!
Today is the day after Christmas and I was having trouble ordering online
Today is the day after Christmas and I was having trouble ordering online. I emailed Ken's and gave them my phone number. It was after hours on Saturday. They called me back in an hour and Kevin was really helpful and nice in fixing my problem. I'm so excited to get my new machine. I was a bit sad when I saw some 'complaints' here, but I don't think I'll have any issues. I mean, how can a business stay open for over 50 years if they don't sell good stuff and give good service?
I think it could be a little better with shipping
I think it could be a little better with shipping. If you buy the machine with the frame deal juki tl-2010 with the queen size frame 8' they send them seperate. They want you to sign for it and call it complete. I only had the machine and had to contact them for the shipping number for the frame. It was a pain. If you buy something then they sould provide a shipping number without asking. I only had the sewing machine shipping number not the frame. Second I am disappointed because I did not get all the accessories listed. I got most but the ones I wanted was not there. They claim to have contacted the company with the macine number but it's been more than a week and I have not heard back. If they have it on their site that it's included then it should have every single item...not just a few. I think my review is fair and honest. I wish they would follow up with the parts though.
Don't buy from this place
Don't buy from this place. Ken's Sewing Center is a shady store - not reliable and not honest.
I bought a new sewing machine from Ken's Sewing Center on 10/9. I could have bought it from another store (Ken's definitely didn't have the lowest price compared to others), but I chose their store because they ADVERTISED on their website that if you buy the sewing machine, you'll get a $*** bonus kit (they had 3 kits to choose from). I picked the Convertible Even Feed foot set worth *** and the Clearview Foot 1/4 seam set worth *** (it's not even worth ***, but whatever).
When I got my order, the bonus kit items in the box were not the ones I chose when I placed my order. They were worth $55, not *** like their website said.
I emailed the store, "I checked the website and it looks like the bonus item has changed. I ordered this on Saturday, the 9th. When I placed the order, the website showed that the bonus included the items I wanted. Can you fix this?"
Their customer service rep replied, "Sorry for the confusion, we must have changed the listing after you ordered. The previous bonus kit is on back order and won't be available for a while. We had to change the free items because we don't know when they'll be back in stock."
I understand that some things are out of the store's control, but someone from Ken's Sewing Center called me on 10/11 to confirm my details and they didn't bother to mention that the bonus kit was going to be changed. I also checked their website and the items I was supposed to get were IN STOCK.
They responded again, "We list while supplies last, but if you want to send back the bonus items you received and get the previous bonus kit, you can do that. It'll take a while because those items are on a long back order and we don't know when they'll arrive again."
I asked for a return shipping label and they replied, "We don't provide return labels. You can ship it USPS if you want."
I don't know who's responding to me because they haven't been including their name in the email.
In principle, I would return the sewing machine and not give them my business, but their return policy charges a 10% restocking fee and shipping. I'm definitely not going to give them money for nothing.
I'll make sure to let my quilting guild and quilt message boards know how much of a scam this store is. I should have bought my sewing machine from Amazon.

I bought a sewing machine from Ken's Sewing & Vacuum Center on November 10
I bought a sewing machine from Ken's Sewing & Vacuum Center on November 10. They were supposed to include a quilting foot, but the one they sent didn't fit my machine. I called them to ask for a replacement, but they said there was nothing they could do. Ken's messed up by sending the wrong quilting foot and won't fix the problem. I just want them to send me the right quilting foot that actually fits my machine.
I've been waiting for my refund for more than 10 days now
I've been waiting for my refund for more than 10 days now. I've tried talking to *** multiple times, but I still haven't received my $179.00 back. I returned the item to their store on 8/12 and gave it to ***. I've spoken to Will and sent emails, but they haven't responded except for one. On 8/18, *** told me that the person in charge of refunds would issue one right away. However, when I checked with my credit card company on 8/22, there was no pending refund for the $179.00 purchase. I've even filed a dispute with my credit card company and emailed them the dispute letter. I've done everything I can to get this refund, but it seems like Ken's Sewing doesn't want to respond or issue the refund.
My order for a Juki MO-654DE Serger, order number #XXXXXXXXX, hasn't been shipped yet
My order for a Juki MO-654DE Serger, order number #XXXXXXXXX, hasn't been shipped yet. I paid $423.94 for it. On 4/20, I got an email saying that a shipping label was made with Fed Ex. I waited a week and checked again, but the Fed Ex status was the same and the serger wasn't picked up for shipping. I tried calling Ken's twice on 4/27, but nobody answered and the voicemail was full. I also sent an email on the same day (9 days ago) asking for an update, but I haven't received a response. Fed Ex says they never got the package, and the tracking number is XXXXXXXXXXXX.

I bought a machine from Ken's Sewing & Vacuum Center, but unfortunately, I had to return it
I bought a machine from Ken's Sewing & Vacuum Center, but unfortunately, I had to return it. Now, I'm trying to get a refund, but they haven't replied to any of my emails. I ordered a refurbished machine that came with a full warranty, but it had some cutting issues, so I had to send it back. The problem is, they made me pay $115 for the return label instead of sending it themselves. Then, they sent me a second machine, but it didn't work at all. Finally, they sent a return label for that one and a third machine. Will, one of their representatives, assured me that they would fix the situation and send me a brand new machine. However, the machine I received wasn't new at all, and the bed plate was raised up because it had been removed before. This caused the embroidery bar to get stuck. Frustrated, I sent them an email explaining that I didn't want another machine. Instead, I asked for a refund and requested mailing labels to return everything they had sent me. Unfortunately, I haven't received any response to the three emails I've sent them.
This company is full of lies, I don't understand how it's rated anything but a failure
This company is full of lies, I don't understand how it's rated anything but a failure. Don't trust this rating. They say they offer free shipping, but they conveniently forget to mention that it doesn't apply if you want to return the item, even if it's unopened like ours was. They promised to refund our money as soon as they received the merchandise back, but it's been 2 weeks and they still haven't returned it. Now we have to fight with our bank to get the full amount back and maybe even consider taking them to court. Can you believe this company has an A rating on the ComplaintsBoard.com site? Seriously, what do you have to do to get a bad rating? Lying about free shipping and holding onto our money for too long apparently makes you a good company. We're not the first ones to complain about their slow refund process.
My order was on backorder
My order was on backorder. They charged my credit card right away. Normally, the charge is pending until the product ships. Today, they called me out of the blue, saying the machine was ready to ship. However, they insisted on verifying my address, phone number, and the last 4 digits of my credit card over the phone before sending it. They claimed it was to protect themselves from fraud. I already placed the order, my credit card was charged, I created an online account, and I received email confirmations about the order being placed and delayed. They even called the correct phone number to ask these questions today. What more do they need? I suggested they could read me the information they have on file, and I would confirm it. But they refused. Why would they refuse if they are legit? I didn't feel comfortable giving my info over the phone, it just didn't seem right. I can't fit my full review here. I posted it on Google Reviews, Yelp, and their Facebook page. I just want to make sure they don't have my credit card information stored anymore.
I bought a PR1050X embroidery machine from Brad on 03/18
I bought a PR1050X embroidery machine from Brad on 03/18. I spent $10,975.88, which included a 14x14 hoop that they didn't have. They said the machine could do a 14x14 embroidery pattern. I called Brad two weeks later because I still didn't have the hoop. They said it was on back order and would send me a used one until it arrived. Three weeks later, I received a used hoop that wasn't for the machine. So, I ordered one and got it, only to find out that this machine requires expensive software to do a 14x14 design. I called Brad multiple times, but he was always off or busy. He promised to find out and call me back, but he never did. I bought another machine and called because I was deceived. I spoke with the owner, Jeremy, who had Brad call me. Ironically, Brad is gone again for a week. Now they say it's my fault because it's past their 30-day policy, even though I was lied to and delayed multiple times. I want a refund as soon as possible.
Order number *** January 2022 I ordered an embroidery machine, A Brother NQ1700E
Order number *** January 2022 I ordered an embroidery machine, A Brother NQ1700E. I have had nothing but problems with this machine. Kens Sewing replaced this machine and the needle threader broke, so I paid to send it back to them to get it fixed, which they did fix the threader but it kept eating my fabric. I lost lots of fabric, stabilizer, thread, and you name it. So they paid to send it back to them and they told me they fixed it, but it would not sew anything without ruining the project. The last time I got it back was in December and it is just sitting here doing nothing. I talked to them time and again and they told me they had fixed it and that was that - $2200.00 and I can't sew a thing. So they told me to send some pictures and gave me an email address. I send the pictures and also when I sent the machine I sent some of the projects that were ruined. I have not heard a thing from them and that was before Christmas. I really just want my machine fixed. How many months I have been without my machine, I got this to make beautiful things for my grandbabies and I can't. Please if at all possible, could you please help me with this.
On February 23, 2023, I made a payment on my credit card for Ken's Sewing & Vacuum Center
On February 23, 2023, I made a payment on my credit card for Ken's Sewing & Vacuum Center. Unfortunately, when I received my order, I noticed that some pieces were missing. The website stated that the Juki TL2010Q sewing machine would come with various accessories, such as a foot controller, auxiliary table, exclusive screwdriver, small screwdriver, cleaning brush, bobbins (4pcs.), oiler, needles (HAx1), spool cap, sewing machine cover, power cord, knee lifter lever, hemming foot, zipper attaching foot, even feed presser foot, 1/4 quilting foot, 1/5 quilting foot, and compensating presser foot. However, I did not receive the zipper attaching foot, 1/4 quilting foot, 1/5 quilting foot, and compensating presser foot.
I reached out to Ken's Sewing Center via email, and they responded by saying that I should contact the selling dealer, ***. They also questioned where I saw that these feet were included with the machine. According to them, the only foot that comes with the TL2010 is the even feed foot, and the other three feet are not included.
I am disappointed because I expected to receive all the accessories that were supposed to come with the machine.
I bought a sewing machine in March but it came broken
I bought a sewing machine in March but it came broken. I've been trying to return it, but they keep giving me the runaround. I bought the machine on March 20th and got it on March 25th. I was excited to use it as a quarantine hobby. However, every time I tried sewing, the needle would get stuck and form a knot in one spot. I called Ken's Sewing Center the next day, but they were too busy to help me and promised to call me back. They never did. This happened every time I called. Finally, about two weeks ago, a lady named *** helped me and sent another sewing machine. When I asked for the tracking number, she gave me an invalid one. She claimed that the package was delivered on May 16th, but I never received it. I called again yesterday, and they said they were busy and would call me back. But, as expected, I never received a call back. It's been since March that they have had my money, and I'm stuck with this broken machine. Nobody is listening to me. At this point, I just want my money back and a return label sent to me.
Company sent me a broke sewing machine
Company sent me a broke sewing machine. I sent it back but still no refund. On June 4, I bought a sewing machine from Amazon.com for $1,152.28. The machine was sold by Ken's Sewing Center on Amazon Marketplace. It was labeled as "Amazon Renewed" and had a guarantee that it would work and look like new. The product was supposed to be inspected and tested by Amazon-qualified suppliers. It might have some scratches or dents, but it should still be functional. The box might not be original, but the accessories should be compatible. If I wasn't satisfied, I could get a replacement or refund within 90 days. I got the machine on June 16 and when I opened it, I saw a big scratch (over 8" long) on it. The door wouldn't close properly and some accessories were missing. I contacted the seller right away and on June 17 they said they had a replacement in stock and would send it soon. On June 19, they messaged me saying they had to order more from Janome and it would arrive soon. But by June 25, I still hadn't received any shipping notification. So, I told the seller I would return the damaged machine instead of getting a replacement. According to Amazon's terms, I could get a refund within 90 days if I wasn't satisfied. The seller refused to send a return label for the damaged machine and told me to contact Amazon. Amazon told them to send me a return label, but they still said no. Amazon then told me to return the machine at my own cost through UPS (which cost me $150) and submit the shipping receipt for reimbursement. I did that on July 8. The seller received the item on July 15, and "HARPER" signed for it (check UPS tracking 1Z6960VXXXXXXXXXXX for proof). Since then, I've contacted Amazon customer service many times to ask about my refund. They said since it was sold by a third party, I have to get the refund from the seller. They messaged Ken's Sewing Center multiple times to ask for a refund, but they still haven't done it. Remember, this item was sold as "Amazon Renewed" and had a guarantee for replacement or refund within 90 days if I wasn't satisfied.
