DO NOT bring your child to this place. They put on a great show, GREAT show. I started in May of 2015 and by June 2015 was pulling him out and it would have been sooner, but I could not find openings or family able to help to get my son out of this place! 1. I dropped him off one day to find a strange old man in the room with the helper. When I asked who...

After researching the best possible child care for my children, I decided, NOT ALL KinderCare locations were the same, and decided to send my children to the St. Francis location. I was in HORROR! The staff, although some very friendly, others were hateful, mistreated my child. The daycare's sanitation is completely questionable, the smell is so unbearable...

This place really is as bad as other complaints about it on this board. The rooms are almost always out of ratio. The teachers do not have education or certification. Minimum standards and requirements are pretty much a h.s. diploma and a few months experience. The turnover is horrible. The good teachers end up leaving because this place is so poorly run...

If your child will be at this center outside of when the "lead" teacher is scheduled, you might want to double think your decision. After a year and a half I have had enough and my child will no longer be at this center. Staffing issues that involve next to no training seem to be the norm between the 3 rooms my child has been in at this location. When the...

KinderCare Education termination

My mother was terminated and discriminated against because of her age and years of service, from KinderCare Learning Centers in 2010. She was accused by a member of management who was not in the room at the time of the supposed incident of withholding food from a child. The child in question has refused lunch because of feeling ill and wished to lay down instead which was granted.
My mother worked for KinderCare for 11 years in the same center from the day it opened and her specific center was undergoing constant changes in management and team members. My mother was the oldest and highest paid employee making more than most members of management. My mother is mild mannered and refused to fight for herself and took the bullying KinderCare dealt her. She has suffered emotional pain ever since then and continues to feel tortured almost three years later for what KinderCare is calling a crime.
KinderCare Learning Centers LLC. consists only of vicious, depraved, sadistic corporate thugs who derive pleasure from bullying honest, extremely hard working employees who they feel have "taken" to much of their millions of dollars in revenue.

Center is filthy, from entryway to classrooms. Cleaning not done consistently-evident through smell, build up of fingerprints & other bodily fluids on windows and doors. From smashed cracker crumbs, to dust and tattered poinsettias still outside, Christmas was probably the last time they ran a vacuum. Dirty classrooms also leads to numerous sick...

EXTREMELY UNPROFESSIONAL. I'm ashamed to work here after I see what goes on when parents aren't around. When i complained to my Staff Director, the Manager, about a teacher saying the N word around 3 year olds, she ignored it. When I complained to her about a staff member coming to work drunk and harming other children by throwing books in the air out of...

KinderCare Education teaching the kids to fight while in daycare

It is terribly sad that these daycare centers hire these uneducated, thuggish, rude, abrasive, violent, and emotionally damaged women to staff their daycare classes. These women are from rough neighborhoods and they are probably victims of domestic violence and control-freak mothers. They bring their mixed up, screwed-up value systems to work with them at Kindercare in Mobile, Alabama. The center will give them the title of "Daycare Teacher" when they have no qualifications to teach anyone anything. They bring their own beliefs into the classroom with them. They learned in middle school (and probably even earlier) that if you get picked on, the best way to defend yourself is with violence. They learn to be bullies in order to protect themselves from all the other thugs at school. Then they bring these values to Kindercare and they teach their little students to use violence to defend themselves against their classmates. When the cameras are rolling, they'll see one kid hit another kid. They'll call the victim over to them and they whisper, "Go over there and hit him back." The kid will go over and smack the other kid in retaliation for being hit. The daycare workers see each other doing this and they don't say anthing about it. It's easier to fight Fire with Fire, as they say. An eye for an eye, as they say. This is so wrong.

The problem with posting complaints like this is that the owners of the business will blame the complaint on a mad former employee. They call it slander and they will fire someone on their staff for allegedly posting this so-called lies. Please don't waste your time complaining on this site. It won't help the problem.

KinderCare Education don't sent your child to clayton ohio centre

During my time at Kindercare, they allowed metal tape measures to be in the 5 year old classroom! Are you kidding?

One boy held one end and the other boy held the other end and a little girl was holding the middle of the tape just as I walked in. You guessed it! One boy pushed the button to make the tape re-track and the little girls fingers were sliced. To the point of blood all over her shirt, blood all over her hands and the floor and she had to be taken to the emergency room.

What genius ever thought this was a good idea?

Then when I grabbed the five year old boy and shook him for calling him stupid the supervisor called me in to the office and fired me. After another incident the supervisor called me in the office and fired me. She said that that is not how we discipline children. I was fired because of "abuse" now I am having a hard time finding another teaching job. This was the second incident where we had a disagreement with how I disciplined a child. One time a child told another child to f*ck off in the after school program and I slapped him across the face and put bleach in his mouth. I made sure he did not swallow and they said that that was not correct. This incident happened a week after the tape measurement incident and I was fired. When I mentioned that I discipline my seven year old like this all the time for bad language they contacted social services who took their side.

There is never a lead teacher in the 3 year old classroom. Has not been in over a year. She is at the front office and the only time she goes in the room is when State Board is going to show up. Nice huh?

There is I suggest you do better research.

Update by HayIey

Also the child did not swallow the bleach, well it was not bleach it was a cleaning solution to be exact. I was just cleaning his mouth out. You know how when a child swears you use soap to clean up their language. I made sure that the child did not swallow any. Just made him rinse his mouth with it and spit it out. Also I did not put it in his mouth. I asked him to put it in his mouth himself and he did. There is no danger if he does not swallow the bleach. However this incident caused me to lose my job. For your information the child in question was 10 and knew that he should not swallow the cleaning solution, besides it was watered down. All I wanted was for him to have a foul taste in his mouth and teach him a lesson.

TruthIsNowTold you said you would have handled this situation differently but you don't say how. I have reported you to the board moderators and the police because I see that this is not the only review you are harassing people on. You like to harass people. You say there are different ways to handle the swearing but you don't give an example. You just judge me you coward.

That boy's actions got another child injured. What am I supposed to do? How would you have handled the situation.

As for the swearing, how would you handle the situation?

I used to work for KinderCare! They are animals there. The children were abused, not taken care of. The director was getting regularly drunk with the teacher during lunch time. I don’t even know who was treated worse, the teachers or the children. Only really desperate low class people worked there. No breaks were given to employees, which is against the...

KinderCare Education unethical work environment/violates health deptartment policies

As a former employee at Kindercare, I must express my dismay at how this company is run at the corporate level. I enjoyed my former job and loved my co-workers, including the center and assistant directors. I need to voice that for-profit corporations and the business of taking care of children is not a very good combination.

These directors are placed under a huge amount of stress by keeping their enrollment numbers high at the expense of the teachers in their employ. Often there are not enough teachers to cover basic needs such as lunch breaks. I worked an 8 hour shift for months without being given a regular break. When there was enough staff, I would then receive a brief break. Having inadequate staffing also led to many classrooms being over their ratio numbers in multiple classrooms.

It was not unusual for an infant teacher to have a few toddlers in the classroom for part of the day. This was also repeated for the toddler and the two year-old classrooms. I clearly remember the stress, discomfort and frustration my center director experienced in having to make daily decisions in who could get a break or which classes had to "bump" their students up or down by age group.

I worked for Kindercare multiple years and my only "raise" or wage increase during that time was less than a dime an hour. I left the company due to burnout and stress. A Kindercare employee seen at the corporate level is just a number, and treated as such. I am expendable, cheap labor that can easily be replaced. This corporation puts their bottom line at the expense of their employees and the well-being of the children placed in these daycare centers.
Due to staffing shortages, I was unable to take any vacation or personal time for months. Over a 9-month period, I was able to take just two personal days. I was feeling stressed and burnt-out due to lack of time off and the center's inability to hire additional staff in a timely manner. I understood my limits and pleaded for time off from working 8 hour days with only brief potty breaks. As an employee, I left this company feeling totally depleted and used up. I will never work for a corporate-run child care business again. I am learning toward mom-and-pop operations or non-profit organizations.

KinderCare Education unethical work conditions forced on employees

Twice as an employee with Kindercare learning center, I was forced to work while sick. I was told if I showed an effort and come to work sick, I could leave. Not true, next day went doctor, and I had shingles. A prior time, my back went out, couldn't leave, and I worked the entire day. By that evening I couldn't move, I was in excruciating pain.

The working conditions are appalling working. We take care of children and we expose them to illness, because we are afraid we'll loose our jobs if we walk out sick.

KinderCare Education dissatisfied with job

Ive been an employee at kindercare for about 3 months. I was hired as the school aged lead teacher. After a month there, my hours were cut and I was expected to deal with 22 kids alone, in a room by myself and at the time I was pregnant. I loved that job and my kids until my hours got cut again. Now I went from 4 hours a day to 2 and a half. I always asked for more hours but was unsuccesful. I felt like i was a slave and they worked me, like one. I finally decided to quit and when I did I was told that mfy director was waiting on me to do so.

KinderCare Education terminated

I had been working for kindercare for a little less than a year when I put my 2 weeks in. On the Monday following my notice my boss suspended me then fired me for telling a kid to stop trying to run out of the room at drop-off. The director also moves kids from room to room to accodomate the ratio whether or not the child belongs in the room, for instance a 18 month old in the same room as a 3 year both in the 2 year old room. She would move up 2 year olds to a preschool room with kids who are 3-4 years old.

The problem was not with you telling the child to stop running out of the room. The problem is that you threatened to spank the child for running out of the room which we do not encourage in kindercare. Another reason is you allowed the other children to call the child an idiot and have often referred to the child as an idiot in front of other children, singled him out ect.

KinderCare Education all depends on which one you work at

I am currently working at my second KinderCare. I LOVED the first one I was at. The staff were so nice and the administration was fantastic. But, it was a center that had been bought out by KLC and retained most of its former policies, usually telling KLC to shove it.

The one I'm at now is extremely "corporate" and it ***! I've been there for three weeks and I'm already looking for a way out the door! They cut hours ALL the time and despite the fact that I was hired to be a preschool teacher, I barely spend any time in "my" classroom.

In addition to that, they change the policies constantly so you basically keep getting in trouble. For example, your classroom is supposed to be kept neat as a pin, but you're expected to only clean it at naptime or on your own time without pay. But at naptime you're supposed to spend all your time putting the children to sleep even though state law says that after 30 minutes you have to give them something to do on their cot and after an hour you have to allow them to get up.

Oh and the age group that I have is at the point where naptime is a thing of the past for them, yet the director gets pissed because the other teacher and I can't cover our own breaks because too many children are awake. All because she can't staff enough people so that every break is covered.

It's ridiculous. I was really excited about this job because everyone seemed really nice and I loved the last KinderCare I was at. But this just blows! The hour cutting is ridiculous and the pay is appalling. I have a degree in ECE and teaching certification with 6 years experience, yet with the money I make I could technically go on welfare. Oh and I'm paying out the *** for benefits that don't cover squat. I think that from a consumer standpoint, you're okay because most of the staff really do their damned best despite the crap they deal with. But from an employee standpoint, run while you can!

It is sad what they do to their employees. Double Standards are always the key. I was a center director and was terminated for following state DCFS laws versus company guidlines. Although every policy states that you always follow state standards first. The DCFS representative told me herself that they cant stand how the organization is run. And told me specifically that I cannot run a parents night out, my dcfs license didnt cover it. My District manager had a few things to say about that and would not follow state licensing policies. It is just morally wrong how KinderCare feels they are above the wall and require employees to do as the company states only. If you are trained elsewhere, you are not a prized position at KinderCare. Never work there! If you know the difference between right and wrong they do not want you to be a part of their corporation. Cant imagine why there are so many lawsuits against the company. They are like an organized crime. Do what they say or they will screw you!

KinderCare Education they don't care

My son was pinched by the directors daughter and scramed at by both the directors son and daughter. Then she went in the room after I left and called my son a lier right in front of the children and it was in a loud voice. The director has made VERY inappropriate remarks to the parents there. My son has had woodchips thrown at him. The directors daughter is a thief! The assistant director Amanda Novakowski has had her boyfriend Jason Schleweis there to try to kick my but. When I saw him I was thinking him and what army. He works at BAXA in Englewood. Go to another center there is a Highlands Ranch Learning Academy near Broadway and Dad Clark that is soooo much better you will thanks me later!
