We had Koodo, no contract plan. We decided to end our services with them and go to rogers mobile. They told us what would happen. We would pay our final bill and pay off a tab if it had not been payed off yet. So we payed those both off. That was back on sept 1st of 2012. We just happened to be talking to our banker and she informed us that we had a collection from koodo. We had no idea what was going on. We called Koodo and they told us they didnt know why we had a collection for $168.00. They had no idea why we owed any money and said they couldnt give us any info. We called the collection company back trying to see if they had any info which they didnt but informed us that this is common with mobile companies and that with koodo especially when you are with them if you miss 1 payment they take you straight to collection. Which we did not. My husband called Koodo back once again and demanded to talk to a manager. He then Said what we apperently owed money for. My husband asked why we were never contacted by anyone from Koodo if we owed money to them. At first he didnt have an answer, said he didnt know. The charges that he said we were owing didnt add up. My husband was fighting with this guy for at least 30 minutes, told him that they are running a scam and that they screw people over and the manager pretty much agreed with him. Then when my husband said again that they should contact people because once you get rid of them you cannot go online to your account anymore he tried to say that my husband called them in October and that they told him them. He asked what number we called them from and they said his cell number, he told them that he didnt call them any on any day and that he will call rogers and get a record from that month proving that he never called them, then the manager said oh no i dont know what number you called from. I think its insane that companies can do this to people, if we refuse to give into them then we are the ones who loose, by having them send things to collection and ruin our credit. Im pretty sure im not going to screw my credit for $168.00. Ive contacted the BBB about this. I also found out that they did the exact same thing to my sister in laws father. So mobile users beware. Hopefully this can stop some of you from using their service.

Yes koodoo is a rip off scam we got a iPhone in June 12 2013 paid 175. Plus 60. Taxes July 12 2013 another 85.00 than iPhone was shut off, went to cancel iPhone now to cancell we owe 204. Plus 128. Tab only used this iPhone one month, now that's a scam

Plus Taxes July 12 2013 another 85.00 than iPhone was shut off, went to cancel iPhone july 22/13 now to cancell iphone we owe 204. Plus 128. Tab only used this iPhone one month, now that's a scam, government needs to stop this kind of phone scams !

I totally agree that Koodo is scamming, I'm fighting them now almost a year and they are completely destroying my credit and they have admitted that I owe nothing my account is paid in full and has been for 6 months and yet they are still reporting me as delinquent. I have reported them to the CCTS and I recommend everyone that has been screwed by Koodo to do so..I'm hoping the more complaints the more they will listen!

I am a female, retired sociologist, speak English and Spanish . I have been with this company since they came to Canada. Over 7 years . Carlos Slim is company. It was good, not anymore. In August 2016 a tech representative from Montreal stated I has been over charged for over 2 years re. texts . My plan was changed to unlimited calls/texts over 2 years ago. She open an investigation (like CIA) and a month later I got a text message :the overcharge amount to $658.00. I was grateful they were honest and I would get my money back. After uncountable hours on the phone El Salvador and tech.reps refusing to speak spanish (did not want to offend them) they agreed to send a cheque for the amount owed, after all it was my money. Hours spent on the phone since Nov, 2016 with Montreal, El Salvador and Rumania: 52 hours of my time. They get pay to waste the customer is time, they also contradict themselves given me the impression this company is running a scam. Went to the booth in Burlington Mall (strongly advice against ) and waited over 45 minutes on my feet while Annaberelli (cant remember her name but she is the "supervisor" : this both has a strong reputation for abusive managers) kind of giggle and flirted with Her "support team", all very FBI kind of operation :, I asked this patronizing and abusive girl to let me speak with a manager or supervisor She did not want to deal with me anymore! . I am in limbo as what is going to happen next . If I call the all process will start over as the customer has to repeat what happen from the beginning. Then I will be transfer from one "special department" to the other . I have been informed that I have to return an amount of $561.00, that I owed to Koodo. I pay on time, always. I have a good credit and this bunch of incompetent teenagers will ruin 44 years
of hard work. June from El Salvador is to blamed. She made it all personal when this is business : they provide a service, I pay for it. They over charged me (of course, I am a Senior so I might be plain [censor]ed), sent a cheque and now someone decided there was a mistake ? This corporation is ruining the credit for many of us : I am anguish over their practices also our government lack of concern or I should say carte blanche to corrupt cell companies? PLEASE I cant sleep over the issue, the corruption, the incompetence of the company.WHAT TO DO ? I try to file a complaint with the proper source but they are overload bla bla bla: it can and will take months to see an answer ? where is my Canada? where are we going but down...Any answers or suggestions would be greatly appreciate . Thanks

Ditto for me. Cancelled service, kept getting billed, kept being told billing would stiop but no refund...kept getting billed..after a year of fighting them a rep told me that it wasn't cancelled (although service ended) because they couldn't get a hold of me to confirm the cancellation. I asked what number they were calling to reach me to confirm - told me they had been calling the number they had cancelled! Then finally agreed to a 3 month credit - thought it was over. Now getting calls from a collection agency every day. Cannot imagine a [censor] company. Feel a bit better every time I convince another person NOT to sign with Koodoo.
