KTMB Communter service between KL Sentral and Port Klang over the past few days has been plagued with very long delays & cancellations since our Transport Minister, YB Anthony Loke announced that the Tg. Malim to KL Sentral sector frequency will be increased to every 15mins (peak time).

Worst even at peak times it is not only delayed but KTMB is now resorting to using the old 3-carriage EMU's to serve the KL Sentral - Port Klang route. These shortened carriages are so packed with people coupled with inadequate air-conditioning and ventilation that it is a miracle that no one has experienced a medical emergency.

I suspect KTMB simply does not have enough EMU's to cope with the increased frequency on the KL - Tanjung Malim sector. Instead KTMB is pulling EMU's serving other important high-utilisation sectors to serve the KL - Tanjung Malim sector. I believe YB Transport Minister has not been adequately briefed on the challenges faced by KTMB.

Claimed loss: Loss of Valuable Time, Money & Nation's Resources

Desired outcome: Revert to the Old Schedule until new trains are procured/commissioned.
