Embarrassed
I was in for a puncture repair and the mechanic that did the repair was very nice checked all my tyres before doing the repair but i noticed that night that the tyre was still going down so i went back and another machanic said the valve should have been changed when the puncture repair was done so he changed the valve for me but when gave my keys back the machanic by the name of John asked me to pay £21.95 and i said aw right i wasnt aware that this was extra as i would have bought a new tyre rather than paying over £50 for a puncture repair and he said to me just take the car away i tried to explain and he said it again I was so embarrasssed as there was 2 customers in the waiting area at the time and 1 just looked up at me i webt to my car but i returned to get the machanics name he seen ne standing and did not attend ti me untill i shouted over to him.
Recommendation: Only use this garage if you want to be spoke to lije a child

Overcharge for work carried out
On Friday 26th January I took my car to Wolverhampton kwik Fit (Stafford Rd) for a wheel alignment check. The check was duly carried out and I was informed that correction would cost £65.95 but I would also need 2 new front tyres which brought the cost to £207. I agreed to have the work done. Later I was informed that the technician could not adjust the tracking as one of the track rod ends was seized. I was then informed that I would need 2 new track rod ends and 2 new tie bars. This brought the cost to £467.85. Now if I have these extra parts fitted then surely the price includes adjustment of the tracking so why have I been charged the extra (£65.95 to have the tracking set up.?
Claimed loss: £65..95
Desired outcome: Refund

Kwikfit in Nailsea
I visited Qickfit in Nailsea on the 24/7/23. I am worried about the back tyres on my car and asked the branch manager if he could have a look. He said they were too busy and could not do it.
I booked my car in at 10am on the 26/7/23 for 10am. When I got there he said sorry buddy your car is booked in for 9am. I said it was not, I stood in your office and booked it in for 10am and entered it in the phone. He said no it was 9am.
I asked him for a head office number. He said to look on Google for it. I asked for his name and he said he was not going to give me it.
Desired outcome: An apology from Quickfit and someone to speak to the branch manager about his attitude
Replacement tyres
I took my car in for two tyres following a blow out. The site in Huntindgon street nottingham told me they would be done that day. They did not have the tyres but said they had located some in York and would courier the same day. The tyres didnt arrive and after ringing all the following morning ( no reply) I went in to the site. It seems the manager had not even bothered to arrange to get the tyres couriered as he promised and was now away until Tuesday. So currently waiting five days and counting, assuming the tyres can be couriered on first day back. This is totally unacceptable particularly as i have been l lied to; if they had told me it would this long I could have taken them elsewhere
Desired outcome: I would like my tyres fitting and my vehicle returned to me.

Tyre check
On the 17/10/22 I went to kwik fit birmingham b33 to get my tyre checked . After being spoken to very rudley by the manager Joel. I explained which tyre it was . After jacking it up the young Lad seemed confused about which tyre . I said to the manager it's the back tyre he replied in a rude manner we need to check all tyres . I asked how long it would.take as my daughter was late for school . He then in a anger temper told his worker to.stop and refused to carry out any further checks . Very rude and no.customer service skills at all. Twice this has happened to me . I wonder how many other customers he is rude with . Will never use kwik fit again
very bad experience with them
Galashiels Kwik Fit Staff
1/10/22 Yet again I have to complain about your rude unhelpful staff. I was unable to get staff members name. But he was a very tall guy. Went in this morning approx 11am, to ask if someone could look at my tyres as the pressure light kept coming off and on. And wanted a tyre check. The response was, The service guy came out of the garage area into the reception where I was standing, with a very unwelcoming stance. Asked if he could look at my tyres, from the word go he was not interested at all, you know there is only 2 of us on today, don’t even know when I will get finished. Garage at 1 car in it!. Won’t be able to check your tyres unless I put it up in the ramp. No time for that. Never have I had to have a tyre put up on a ramp to have tyres checked. Neither did he ask me to come back at another time. So needless to say I had to go to another garage. This guys customer service skills are 0. And as I said this is the second complaint I have had the make about your staffs manner. And there will certainly not be a third. Just disgusting how I was treated.
Desired outcome: Staff members certainly need to have Customer service skills, and treat people with respect. Not as a nuisance
Puncture Repair
I visited the Oswestry Branch (937) 10.05 on Sunday 18/9/22 because they were the only place open and I needed a puncture repair. After the repair was completed, I spotted that 4 of my 5 plastic wheel nut covers were missing. These were present at the start of my 4 mile journey to the tyre depot. I was told that they were not present when they started the job (the lady I later phoned at Customer Services told me that if this was the case, they should have informed me before work commenced) and were completely dismissive of my request to look for them, simply telling me that they must have been stolen! (I suspect the 2 tyre fitters were unaware of the irony in what they told me!) It’s not the cost of replacement that I object to, it’s their attitude towards Customers, and after asking around other previous Customers, this poor attitude has been extended to others as well. On a safety issue, I asked for my tyre to be pressurised to 36psi, and was told that this was had been done. After returning home and allowing my tyre to cool to the ambient temperature, I checked the pressure with my own airline and found the pressure to be only 30psi. I also race motorcycles, so I’m very familiar with setting correct pressures and my airline is also accurately calibrated and has a recent certificate to confirm. Consequently, I have to ask, is this really service that you can be proud of?
Desired outcome: I have have already been compensated £4.99, which was the amount I suggested, although they eventual actual cost was subsequently £6.99 Thank you
Kwik Fit Camelon Falkirk
Kwik Fit Camelon fitted CV BOOT front near side to my E53 BMW X5 and it wasn’t fitted properly and snapped my prop and drive shaft and damaged my gears. I had a catastrophic failure seconds after leaving the garage. No power gear stuck in drive and unable to remove key. An accident narrowly avoided. The shaft attached to the CV boot moves up and down which should be stable.
Desired outcome: Fix the CV BOOT which was incorrectly fitted and prop shaft drive shaft and damaged gearbox.

poor service
Mansfield kwickfit centre.
I wish to complain about the poor service.
I boooked my ford fiesta in on sunday 3rd february 2019,
For 10.30 am for 2 newfront tyres to be renewed jordon was the name of the gentleman that delt with me. I imformed him and made it clear to him that toomey euro leaseing own the car and they pay for the tires on there account with there account with kwick fit. He comfirmed all ok to me at first he will sort it out with toomey lease hire company no problem. I left the car with them at 10.30 am for a hour like jordon said. I went back after the hour at 11.45 am and car had not been done on my leased ford fiesta silver reg mf16 mkg jordon replied to me he contacted toomey euro lease hire and asked them if the car was on there account, and made up that its not, and I would have to pay cash over the counter of my own money to pay for the new tyres for the ford fiesta mf16 mkg he said I am not coverd by toomeys lease hire account. I know different as I pay car maintance to toomey every month I phone toomey euro lease myself and spoke to emma at the maintance department and she told me no one called jordon phoned them. And comfirmed to me my car is coverd to have tyres fitted at kwickfit centres in england. I feel jordon as lied to me and tryed to get cash out of me to pay for the tyres for the leased car before he fitted them. When toomey lease hire pays kwickfit for and tyres ect fitted to car reg mf16 mkg. I am very upset with the way jordon delt with me over the above matter and feel it needs to be investergated as soon as please at the mansfield brunch kwickfit centre. I feel this is poor service to any customer when the customer is right with all the imforemation giveing by in structions of the account they need to collect the fees from. I feel I could have been taken addvantage of.
poor customer service ref: kf60-6003045
I have used Kwik Fit Hayes location in the past with fair satisfaction. Today (18Jul17) however, I have never been more disappointed in a service provider. My appointment was at 4:45pm today, took an hour off work to get there and 7 minutes before pulling in, I received a call from the location cancelling my appointment and was being offered a 2:30 slot the next day, which would mean more time off. I made a complaint to customer services and was told that the Area Manager would call me to resolve my complaint. Refreshingly, I was called around 8pm by the Area Manager and then things went from bad to worse! Instead of him doing research before he called me as to why I was only called 7 mins before my appointment, he proceeded to make excuses and was guessing as to what could have caused it. When I pressed him on what they plan to do about their poor customer service and to understand what really caused it, I was told sever times that I was being rude! I was also told that I do not deserve the 'free MOT' he was going to offer! Not even a decent apology for what had happened. Way to go Kwik Fit, extremely disappointing. As a previous return customer, I was more interested in what they were doing to prevent this from happening to me in the future if I were to continue using their service. Definitely, I will be sharing this story for years to come!
Tyre repair & wheel balancing weights
I rang to see about a tyre repair. Asked to come down on Sunday, but they were too busy to see me and asked me to return the following day. I decided to take the wheel off my car myself and transport it in my 2nd car on the Monday just to save time as I was going to call after work. They did the repair, and upon arriving back home as I lifted the wheel out of my vehicle and placed it on the ground, I noticed some of the adhesive left on the wheel which had not been completely removed on the rubber - meant the balance weights were loose because part of it had been stuck to a clean part of the wheel and part stuck to the adhesive previous left where the old weights had been stuck to the rubber. This meant taking another trip down to show the staff what had happened. They told me they just buff the old rubber slightly if the new weights are to go onto it, which I think is very bad practise for such a renowned company. I actually took some white spirit down after I had shown them what had happened, and I sat outside their depot to clean the rubber where the weights had been before I allowed them to replace the weights with new ones. These new ones adhered very well after the wheel had been cleaned correctly first. This proves that had I not removed the wheel myself I would have been non the wiser of this bad practice which means some customers will be unaware of the shoddy workmanship which allow weights to fall off car wheels causing potential damage depending upon the speed the vehicle it travelling. They could for example hit a brake pipe! leading to a potentially dangerous situation. This is just to make consumers aware that the rubber should be cleaned properly should the new weights need to be placed on the same area or part of the same area they have been removed from. The operative told me the Kwik fit policy is just to give a quick 'buff' which does not remove all of the required adhesive, thereby not providing a suitable surface for the new weights to adhere. This repair ended up quite expensive - I asked them how was I charged the same when I had actually taken the wheel off myself which saved them time and space on their forecourt! They said they would look into this matter that I raised this being a valid point. There should be a pricing structure which takes into consideration the time they would spend removing a wheel or alternatively if the customer removes the wheel themselves. This saves Kwik-fit time, space and money. Very disappointed customer I hope this helps any other Kwikfit customers who now know what to look for and expect! As I brought this matter to their attention I did receive a call advising me that my charge would be refunded which it duly was. I was assured that all the points raised were valid and would be looked at.
Fraud in Reporting Faults
I left my Car at Reading Kwik Fit.
After 2 hours manager called me and told there are few issues with the car. 1. Both front and brake pads and discs have to be changed. Front brake pads are near 1.7mm legal limit.
2. 1 Front and 1 rear tyres needs to be changed on the same day since they are at legal limit.
He mentioned it would cost 285 for brake disc, then I told him I don't need any repair today will come back at a later date.
These reported issues raised concerns about the car and then I decided to change the tyres and the brake pad at National Tyres. I placed a online order and visited them over the weekend. They looked at the tyres and said they can be used upto 1000 miles but since I have already paid for tyres I decided to change all the tyres in one go.
And they looked at the brakes to our surprise none of the 4 brake pads worn they are almost new.
This made me to loose hope and trust on Kwik Fit, I informed my friends about this and some say they had similar experiences in the past and they never go to Kwik fit.
For me this was the first and the last experience with Kwik Fit and I wouldn't advice anyone to visit Kwik Fit in future.

Flat Battery
Battery supplied 3 Jan, 2012, with 3-yr. guarantee. Flat in July, 2012, again twice in Nov.2-12 in Orkney, where there is no Kwik Fit branch; I was living there for 2 months during insurance-funded repairs to our home. I took the car to a Ford garage in Orkney which confirmed that it was not holding its charge and replaced it, giving full details of the battery removed on its receipt. As I had a serious operation in Dec. I wrote to the Kwik Fit branch on 14 Dec. explaining the facts and asking them, to honour my claim for replacement in first year of guarantee, though I would not be able to go to the garage for a few weeks. I went there early in Feb; photos of docs. were taken for area manager. No response so far (24 Feb).

Never Again
After being a long standing (single female) customer of Kwik Fit Bolton since 2005 I have decided never to use them again because of several issues I have encountered recently with them. The latest one being replacement of my steering rack. After spending a considerable amount of money on my MOT in October I took my Ka into the Farnworth Kwik Fit Branch early December as there was a vibration that seemed to happen when I braked. Kwik Fit Bolton couldn't detect the problem but Farnworth did. It was a simple case of the brake fluid box rattling against the air filter box. Farnworth also mentioned that the offside Track Rod end needed replacing. Strange that Bolton didn't mention this on it's MOT 6 weeks previously although they mentioned a little play in the steering. I had done very little mileage between the MOT and early Dec. I returned to Bolton to be advised that it was the whole steering rack that needed replacing. As I had spent so much money on the MOT I asked the Manager for a quote. He declined asking me to go to a 3rd party claiming that it could possibly be in excess of £500.When I asked him if it was still safe to drive until after Christmas having spent all my money at Kwikfit, he advised me to just drive slowly. Last week I took the vehicle to Central Tyres, Howard Street, Bolton to have it checked out and the manager was shocked to discover I was still driving the vehicle and urged me to book the vehicle in as quickly as possible to replace the steering rack. My vehicle has now been repaired thanks to Central Tyres who are under the same corporate umbrella as Kwikfit but 2 independant companies. Central Tyres do stress that they have no link with Kwikfit apart from them being owned by the same company. What does that tell you?
Kwik Fit like to take your money but really don't care about your safety. Customer Services couldn't care less either and they don't communicate withThe Customer Survey Team. No doubt who I will be returning to in future!

I went to your kwikfit garage in newbury to ask if they culd look at my car as i could hear a noise and thought it was my exhaust, they looked at it and told me it was the flexy hose and they would order the part for me and fit it the following day, so the next day i went back and they fitted the new part i paid for this and got in my car to drive home only to hear the noise was still there and not fixed, i was not impressed by this one bit so the following day i took my car to another garage to be told it was the wheel bearings and not the flexy hose, the man at the garage told me that the man at the kwikfit garage should of know it wasnt the flexy hose and that it should of never been change when i was told this i was very discussed that someone lied to me and made me pay £95 for something that didnt need fixing and then i had to pay another £95 out to have the wheel bearings fixed i would someone to answer this complaint and i would like to have a refund for this as this should never of happened, i am a single parent who struggled to pay for this part only to find out it should never of been done please can someone reply to me asap
The suspension spring on my passenger side front wheel broke. Searching around kwikfit was the cheapest rapid fit option as I needed the car ready the same day.
When I arrived with the car in a tow truck, without checking them the garage decided as well as changing the springs they should change the shocks. Knowing full well I couldn't take the car anywhere they told me they wud refuse to do the work of just changing the springs, they would only change both. If I wanted just the sprints I could go elsewhere.
I spoke to the garage that had carried out my mot a few weeks previously and was told that they shocks were tested during the mot and passed. Further to that, that garage said the job wasn't necessary, as did a local ford specific garage.
Never the less the garage persisted and I was not in a position to remove the car! so I had no choice.
I tried to complain to head office who told me they agreed the work wasnt necessary and they would contact the garage. But the car got delayed over night and then their tune had changed and suddenly everyone agreed the work needed doing!
I feel fairly certain that at some point the truth was not told! And I am very angry about it! I believe these companies getaway with too much!

Customer Service
I had booked an appointment for my wife’s car MOT for 1.15pm on Saturday 4/2/12. Unfortunately I was running late, and I called to let them know this an hour ahead of time and that I would be around 10 minutes late. The member of staff that took the call, said that this was not a problem. So I arrived at the Bagshot branch at 1.25pm for my cars appointment. The Managed “Martin” said that as I was late they could not book this in. I would have to rebook to have the appointment. I was furious, not that Martin wanted to help resolve the issue or even look at me! I was a repeat customer here and as I recall last time, I arrive 15 minutes ahead of time and they made me wait 45 minutes until they could late me car in! I will be formally filling this up with Kwik fit with a letter to the Director, but expect no reply back and the same kind of customer experience as I’ve already received. What a joke they are.

Took my car to kwik fit for mot and service, all passed and nothing flagged up on service (documents saved). next day smoke started coming through vents. called kwik fit who advised that its nothing that they have done.Took car to local dealership who advised that the cam cover is cracked where the air filter house is.Spoke to kwik fit who advised that they would not touch air filter on service? I questioned this and they still advised of above. I have been charged for air filter on service, they also advised that oil leak was detected on service? nothing states this on service report. (documents saved). Local dealership cahrged me £800.00 for new cam cover.
i am unable to obtain an address on any of the kwik fit websites that would enable me to submit a claim for mis-sold ppi. can anyone help me.
I visited the local kwik fit on lee high rd SE London today for a mot.
I spoke with one chap who said to me park up, go in the waiting room and he'll do it after he's finished with the vehicle he was working on.
About 5/10 mins later another bloke asked me what i was there for i told him a mot, he said have i booked it in so i explained as above.
He then asked my who exactly said i could get a mot done today so i told him the Chinese fellow, he then tried to suggest that that this man couldn't of said this as he doesn't speak English.
I Couldn't believe what this person was trying to suggest so I reiterated what the man said, he then said oh he probably thought you had a booking, he then offered me a booking on tuesday nxt week.
this guy is clearly unprofessional and in need of major training.

Rip off
My wife had an issue with the car battery cutting out and was very close to the afore mentioned Kwik fit garage. She drove in and was met in the forecourt by a member of staff. He advised she would "have" to buy the more expensive of the 2 batteries available as our 1.4 Astra had "electrics"! Fortunately I had advised her that this company have unscrupulous practices and after searching online a price of £60 approx was to be expected. But no obviously the knight in shining armour mentality does not exist within Milngavie a woman in distress is prime for the taking and £87 was more in line! This was after "consulting" with their supplier and confirming the car has electrics! Forgive me but how many 05 plate Astra's dont have some form of electrics! In disgust I emailed their complaints team who responded with an apology on the basis that "he didnt know the full spec of your vehicle" & "he didnt have access to online prices". I asked for confirmation of their stance to be e-mailed and was advised this would not be done. Two things about these 2 points - if he didnt have the spec of the car why not? The car was on their premises! They took the registration for the car! As for internet prices they only give you a 10% discount! Therefore the £87 quoted against £58.50 is way beyond 10% out! As expected Kwik fit closed ranks but to show how little trust can be given to these people I took the car into 2 other depots namely Anniesland, who couldnt be more helpful but didnt have the cheap battery in stock but sent me onto Maryhill where Anton did indeed without question fit the cheap battery! Very helpful confirming the battery was of a sufficient specification for my car! Oh the difference just for being a man! Therefore 2 things learnt - if you have to use Kwik fit get comparison prices and take these with you and sorry ladies but take a man with you seems they want to take extra money if you!
Where do i start?
I took my car in last week for a full service & aircon recharge. I was also asked for any other areas that i would like them to look at whilst in the garage. I named the windscreen wipers as not turning off and requested this be checked.
The service was done, i was told by phone that the brake pads and discs would need to be replaced as they were "on the limit". I decided against doing this on the same day as i had only just had my MOT and this had not been picked up during this so wanted to double check.
My Dad picked up the car, and written on the receipt i have been told that the brake pads, discs AND drums needed doing. I was told the windscreen wipers were working fine (they are not - they still do not turn off in position and stop halfway across the windscreen). The aircon was not able to be done and i was given a refund after i had to contact head office.
I have also discovered that the staff had not secured my wheel trims, unfortunately this was only discovered after 3 of them had already been lost! They HAD been secured with a wheel trim security kit, If the people that worked on the car were not able to resecure them, i would expect for them to be removed or for us to be told that they were not secure so i dont end up where i am now with no wheel trims and having to replace these because of the staffs ineptitude/laziness.
I should also mention that i have also had someone check the brakes and am told that the brake pads are virtually near new. Relieved i did not pay for the extra work to be done now that i am aware that it is absolutely not neccessary.

Poor Work
I bought a tyre at cost of £200 from Kwik Fit only 4 weeks ago. After a recent Audi inspection service it was noted that my new tyre had a buldge and was damaged due to over inflation by 20psi. I returned to Kwik Fit only to be told I would have to pay £200 for a new one even though the damaged was because they inflated the tyre to over 50psi. My advice is to use fully qualified garages not Kwik Fit who cant even inflate a tyre!

Hi
Gerry from Kwik Fit here. We were concerned to read your comment above about your experience.
If possible, we would like to discuss this further with you - please could you contact me at kwikfitwebcare@kwik-fit.com?
Kind regards,
Gerry
There is no way that over inflation would cause of a buldge in a tyre. If over inflation did cause a buldge it would be around the whole circumference tyre not just one area. A buldge in a tyre normally suggests impact damage, this could have been caused when leaving the centre and you hit a pot hole, or a curb. Basically anytime in those 4 weeks. I really wish that people would stop jumping on the same boat as everyone else and stop blaming Kwik-Fit for everything that goes wrong, yes they have bad points that the company needs to work one but doesn't every company? My suggestion is to get a life and pay for a new tyre and don't blame someone else because your not man enough to admit hitting a curb.

Stand your ground next time. If they try to charge you unexpectedly, make sure you get a clear explanation upfront. Don’t let them intimidate you into silence, especially if there are other customers around. Assert yourself and demand the service and respect you're paying for. Always ensure you get the full picture of costs before any work is done.
Hi Lynn, thanks for taking the time to share your review and valuable feedback. Although we're pleased to hear that the team could check your tyres and carry out the repair, we're sorry for the issues you've experienced since then. We apologise for any embarrassment caused and that you were then turned away from the centre when seeking assistance.
To ensure our Customer Care team can look into your experience further and provide support, could you please take a moment to complete the following online contact form? -
