LG Refrigerator LFXS26596S
Refrigerator is 2y, 10m old. Purchased with 5 year extended warranty. Compressor failed 7/19/2021 and does not get cold at all. Three times in a row, LG service arranged repair technicians who were unable to replace the compressor. 4th service technician is now scheduled and has already stated it will not be repaired due to no technicians certified to service or transport R500A cooling gas. If they could dispense R600A, the new compressor will take 10 days to arrive.
We are currently paying $5/day to buy ice to keep household food cold. This has gone-on long enough. No end in sight to when this will unit will work again.
Desired outcome: Request new replacement since old unit (under warranty) cannot be fixed.

Washing Machine
What I have experienced in the past two days is unbelievable. I purchased a washing machine on July 4, 2021. The first time I tried to do a cold water wash, I ended up with pink clothing-it washed them in hot. Thinking it may have been my mistake, I ran it again (minus clothing) with the same result. I went through all kinds of frustration prior to getting to talk to someone from LG, which you are not responsible for. However, when I finally got connected to LG, the connection sounded as though it was under water. I had difficulty being understood by the initial electronic thing that gets you to a department, but I finally got someone and the sound quality was still poor. I asked for a call back-with difficulty due to the connection. When she called back, it was a woman who worked with refrigerators. She transferred me to washing machines, but again the sound was poor. I asked that person to call me back and they agreed, but did not call. I called again, and finally reached Love, who did call back. It took a long time to explain what I needed and to cover what she needed, including testing the machine while on the phone. She told me she would set up someone to schedule to come out. They contacted me later in the day and scheduled for August 10. I got a call today from another associate, whose name I cannot recall, and she wanted to know if I knew of any parts they would need to bring. Seriously? She had me run the machine again while on the phone and she determined that my hoses were connected incorrectly. I am not sure how she could do that, but that being said, she informed me that if her technicians came out to fix my washer and it was an installation issue, I would be charged for the service call. This unit is less than a month old -I am not an installer- I am in no way responsible for any charges. She advised that I call Lowes to have them send out installers and since I said I was not going to pay for a service call, she said she would cancel my service appointment. I did not receive that information well and told her to not cancel the appointment. I agreed to call Lowes to see if they could get someone out here, but she talked over me. I did raise my voice and asked that she not do that. She finished the conversation saying I needed to call prior to the 10th to cancel and then promptly hung up before I could respond. This has taken about two hours of my time thus far, and while I work from home, I still have work that needs produced. In my experience, you are responsible for producing working equipment, just as I am responsible for paying for a new machine. I have held up my end of the bargain. My expectation is a machine that works and people to be cooperative when it does not.

Linear compressor on refrigerator has stopped working. Technician said did not get any reading on compressor. It stopped cooling in freezer then upper part went out after 5 plus years of service and the extended warranty expired. This happened in June 2021. impossible to activate LG warranty
When we bought LG washing machine with a dryer, on 14th of July 2021, we were told by the seller that we have to register our device online within 30 days or, otherwise, our 5 years warranty will not be valid. We have tried to do it through LG web site, but there is no possibility to do it that way. We have tried than through the LG support contact telephone, but none answers that phone (+[protected] 4) for two weeks already. We have tried to find some other possibility to contact LG support, or any other department at LG, but there was no success. LG doesn't provide any possibility to contact them at all and it is, in my opinion, a severe violation of customers' rights.
Desired outcome: If we don't succeed to make our warranty valid within the estimated deadline, we want to return the product back and to be refunded

unethical treatment of customer complaints
My 3 year old LG refrigerator and freezer failed and I lost all my food. Turns out LG was aware of the flaw in product and sold it anyway. They were sued nationally and as part of the settlement they had begun fixing all failed products at no charge. I called to ask about compensation for the lost food since they had fraudulently sold a flawed product. They assured me that was no problem. I filled out an automated questionnaire by text and the system asked me to give it 7-10 days to resolve. On the 11th day, I received a text that stated the complaint had been closed because no response had been received by me. This was utterly false because no further communication had been sent to me other than the initial questionnaire.
I called LG immediately to inquire about the "closed" claim and was assisted to reopen the claim, which I did. This was also done by text questionnaire. Again I received no response for 10 days at which point I called again. I explained the circumstances and was promptly transferred to a complaint number. I was on hold at that number for 1 hour and 20 minutes during which time NO ONE picked up the line. I tried to redial the number and the office had been closed for 20 minutes.
The next day, called customer service and was put on hold again to the same complaint department. This time I only waited 30 minutes before hanging up and calling customer service. I used a back door access by pretending to order parts which got me to a live person. Now I am expected to wait 2-3 WEEKS to find out about confirmation of my claim. (It has already been 2 months)
I think this company is playing games by trying to wait people out until they just give up on expecting fair and ethical resolution of complaints.
Desired outcome: I would like $250. in compensation for food lost due to failure of refrigerator.

front loading washing machine
I have a front loading washing machine. As of 2 months ago it started to have an error code and seems to happen every time I use it now. This problem occurs when I have my wash load going and there is like 30 mins left well it will stop do the chime and have a OE code on the screen.. My husband tried to fix this problem to see how to clean out the lines to the washing machine but I feel like now it is worse then ever. I do not have a receipt anymore or have a warranty with this but for all the money you pay for these appliances you would think they would be lasting more then 2 years

Before I share my worst ever experience with the LG service team in India I would say "No company can survive or grow if customers are ill-treated" "Only growing formula is to serve and keep customers as focus".
I am Sanjay Agarwal recently moved to India to support my family and WFH. Me and my family have been great LG products lovers for a long time and always appreciated quality and support in the past. But my last couple of incidents with the service team have been terrible, super bad, misbehaving, and non-cooperative. Day by day service is becoming worse ever and staff misbehavior instead of support is growing. Yesterday I lodged a complaint for the refrigerator not working (in this hot weather it's really hard to survive with kitchen stuff) and even after 24 hrs nobody communicated or given any timeline to support. Despite making several calls one after another, finally reaching the person (Mr M S Shiddiqui) he was showing attitude and was reluctant to repair and tell the problem. Just said its old model and SN are not clear so won't be doing anything despite having bill copy and refrigerator SN shows its still in warranty. He just misbehaved and also when I talked to his boss (Mr Rakesh Kumar Singh and Anurag Srivastava) he downgraded me and was reluctant to fix and not supported despite I mentioned what the problem is and I will escalate if not being supported. I got a response its big company, nobody will hear your voice. We work in our own style and timeline. In general among my friend circle also people reported the same super bad service by LG in India. Please take strict action and work towards resolution and win customer's trust back. I am financially fine so it is not a big problem to discard the product and buy another (surely not LG). I am just writing so that management should be aware and should improve the service department. Not everyone will throw away and buy rather hope LG service department to fix the problems. Looking forward to hearing back as a resolution towards customer's satisfaction and LG company quality improvement as well.

Lg single electric built-in wall oven
For the past week and currently right now i am spending 3 hours on the phone between lowes, lg & encommpass. They are giving me a run around. I need this part for the oven. LG Refrigerator
Purchased LG refrigerator from Best Buy, Bridgewater, NJ which was finally delivered on December 2, 2020 after a delay of a week.
3/15-Per LG, Rick, he would be filing a request for replacement or refund. I would receive an email in 3 days with their response. This request was taken by LG knowing fully well that only after a certain number of repair requests that the refrigerator would be considered defective and eligible for consideration of being classified as defective.
4/30/2021-2nd repair request. Same problem. LG Service representative patched up the problem by putting foil in the opening where the condensation was occurring rather than notify LG that the appliance was defective.
5/11/2021-contacted LG
5/28/2021-LG sent the same service repair representative who was there at the initial problem. Again the appliance was not recommended as defective by the repair representative.
6/2021-Requested LG to out-sourced the service repair to a provider of LG repairs since I did not feel that the repair representatives employed by LG were looking out for the customer. Instead they presented as looking out for their employer. External repair representative came and fixed the same problem that I had initially complained about - ice condensation of the fan.
Repair representative made suggestions that I should do, such as to ensure that the door was closed. That was inappropriate because no one would leave a door open. I don't know what he thought the level of intelligence was in the home.

Washer & dryer
I hate my washer and dryer! I've had problems with it since the day I got it! I've been calling and calling since about a week after they were installed! Washer - 1. My clothes come out looking dirty every single time I wash a dark load (i'm sure it's the same with the lights, I just can't see it) I have to wash them several times. "don't use as much soap or softener they told me." I barely use anything! Same problem no matter what I do! "could be the water" they tell me. Never had this problem before with my old ones, in 3.5 years! 2. I bought the larger tub and if I put even one blanket and one sheet it says uneven load every single time, I fix it, readjust, it does it again, and again and again… it takes 3 hours to one load! I eventually just have to stop it when it spins and put it in the dryer. What in the hell is the point of having the larger tub when you can't put a blanket in it?! The technician said it was "fine" which I had to pay for btw, and lg won't do anything! We've called and called and called! Brand new washer! Dryer - doesn't get clothes completely dryer if you use any other setting aside from times dry. It assumes I guess that it's dry enough and so if that happens at night then the clothes sit and get stinky, I have to rewash them again! I wish I would have kept my old washer and dryer and saved myself not only the money but the hassle this caused is ridiculous! I want to put these pieces of crap on the street for someone to take! I want my money back!

We have had this tv since early 2020. It started having problems as soon as we got it. The picture and/or sound would freeze and would not respond to any commands. The only way to restore it was to manually shut it off and restart it. This would happen randomly several times a day. I have been in contact with LG support for over a year. There have been repair men out 4 times and the problem still persists. I have had 3 reference #'s, the last being CNN210611285414. I have asked for a refund or a replacement. I have gotten nowhere.

Lg refrigerator stopped cooling 26 months after purchase
LG and their Factory Service/Repair/Support is abysmal.
The refrigerator has completely failed to cool at just over the 2 year point and the warranty for the compressor is for 5 years.
Called LG warranty phone# (takes time to get to speak with someone) and go through their "test" procedures over the phone to determine if it is the compressor. Then you have to wait six hours before calling them back to get a repair appointment. Compressor was determined to be the cause.
Repair person shows up a couple days later and needs to test to determine if it is the compressor. Doesn't have what is needed and no repair work is done. Has to order parts to be delivered to our home, which puts us on the hook for waiting/watching out for them. An appointment is supposedly set up to occur after parts should arrive.
Few days later a box arrives. Next day an email is received stating a different window for the next appointment but not stating that we need to contact them regarding confirmation of delivery of parts.
Day of appointment -- half the day gone already, call repair company and have to wait over 1-1/2 hours before speaking with someone. They want to go over what arrived (over the phone) and tell us that two more parts still need to arrive (are they ordered?) but don't give us any estimation or tracking for said parts yet to be delivered. They won't schedule the repair appointment until these other parts are delivered. Further requires us to be around for their delivery. No other company we've ever worked with does this.
Since we have no idea of when something is coming and therefore possibly when the repair might get done, we have absolutely no time frame or best guess to work with, with regard to conducting the rest of our daily lives. This is completely unacceptable and is not a warranty worth anything at this point.
We have lost over $400.00 worth of food and are trying to live out of two ice chests (during some extremely hot weather).
Desired outcome: REIMBURSEMENT FOR COST OF REFRIGERATOR (AT LEAST PRORATED BASED ON 5 YEAR WARRANTY FOR THE COMPRESSOR), COST OF FOOD LOST (AT LEAST $400.00), EXPEDITED REIMBURSEMENT

LG french door refrigerator
LG and their factory service/repair/support is the absolute worst! Who can afford to be without their fridge for months?!?!
We lost over $400 in food that spoiled when this thing stopped cooling!

Our 2 year old LG french door refrigerator stopped cooling about 2 weeks ago. This thing still has the protective plastic on all the surfaces/door handles!
It was part of our brand-new kitchen remodel (thank God our other appliances were not LG!)
1. Called LG, and they (after having us do a number of things to reset/troubleshoot, and give it 6 hours) diagnosed by phone it is probably the compressor.
2. LG gave us the number for A&* App****** (the worst part of this saga - a relationship that seems to be designed to drag out the whole repair process), their official service & repair company. We called and made an appointment, and informed them that the compressor is the likely culprit.
3. A&* technician came and verified that indeed, the compressor was broken, and needed to be replaced. He said he would need to order the part (delivered to our house, no tracking or timeframe)! We asked why he didn't have the part in his truck (since almost ALL of these fridges FAIL because of this LINEAR compressor) he said that the parts were in his other truck!
Note: The technician told us that it was hit or miss which service tech had the ability to truly repair these properly, and that in any case, the fridge is never quite the same! Also, they aren't designed to be repaired easily, and involves welding in the new compressor...
4. A&* scheduled repair appt. 6 days from initial visit, with the window being between 8:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. Parts arrived after a couple days. Received updated confirmation text that the window was between "All Day".
Called A&* the day of the appt., and was on hold for 1.5 hours! When finally talking to a call center in the Philippines, was told that we needed to call them and confirm that the parts had arrived (we were NEVER TOLD TO DO THIS), and that we needed to wait for more parts to be shipped (no idea when, and certainly no tracking). THE MAIN TAKEAWAY HERE IS THAT THEY WOULD HAVE HAD US WAITING AT HOME ALL DAY FOR AN APPOINTMENT THAT WAS NEVER GOING TO HAPPEN! This is the same story that is being told by a lot of others.
LG recently settled a class action regarding their "Linear" compressor failures (the time to join this one has expired), but the problem is still happening. There needs to be a NEW CLASS ACTION!
It feels like a long drawn out stalling tactic to wear down people who will just give up after a while! Right now we have this useless piece of junk taking up space where a working refrigerator should be. We're living day to day, using an ice chest until it's fixed, and have no idea when this will be!

Our TV started having problems, we called for warranty service. This is the 3rd time a technician has been to the house to repair the TV. NOW being told he needs to come out for a 4th time! Reason given is wrong parts or faulty parts each time. I have to take off work to be home for the repair guy (who is very customer friendly). I have called to speak to someone and have been put on hold for HOURS and was literally told, "it is what it is ma'am"! Most unprofessional and definitely not customer focused. Just bring me a new TV before I report to BBB and every dang place I can rate LG at this point. Absolutely RIDICULOUS!

On 7/8/2020 i bought a LG fridge from Best Buy. On 5/15/2021 the refrigerator stopped cooling. I called LG on 5/16/2021 as this would be covered under the manufacturers warranty. They told me someone would be contacting me in 24/48 hours. I waited 2 days & never received a call back. I called them back & was told i had an appt set up for 5/22 by several diff people at LG. I called the service co that LG said was coming & they stated they had no record & they do NOT work Saturdays. Called LG back & they insisted there was an appt, so we had a 3 way call to the service co., it was confirmed again there was no record of any appt nor do they work Saturdays. During this i was also hung up on by LG 2x. I proceeded to go back to Best Buy for help & same thing happened to them. Then the LG csr told the BB csr that i should call the service co myself & set up an appt. I attempted this & never rcvd a call back. LG has escalated the prblm 4x but still nothing. On 6/4/21 I requested a full refund & received a DRN#...as I type I have been on hold 45 minutes waiting to for someone to answer the status of this request! I have filed 2 complaints with the better business bureau, first one LG asked me for purchase info, receipts, etc & asked for this so they could review my complaint...That was on 5/27/21...absolutely no response from LG! Just got through only to find our my refund request was rejected but they cant give me a reason why...yet they cant find anyone to fix the refrigerator!

LG 55-Inch TV
I received a new TV but it did not arrive with the screws to fasten the TV to the stand. I called Customer Service to have the screws sent to me; I was told that it would take 10 to 15 business days. After 15 business days, I called to check on the status of the screws. I was told that the previous Customer Service person neglected to "save the order;" so, it was never placed. I now must wait an additional 10 to 15 business days to receive the shipment, AND call back next week to check on the order.
This company is amateurish!
If you are looking to purchase a TV, you should not get an LG product!

LG SS Dishwasher Model #LDT5665ST
This Dish Washer is 2 years and 3 months old. It quit working. It needs a new control Board. The cost to repair it is $548.12.
I paid $468 + tax for it brand new. Plus you have to purchase a new adapter and cords each time + tax, bringing the total to $550.75 This is outrageous that an appliance brand I had trusted in the past is only good for 2 years! This was not a low end cheap model...

This TV was a Fathers Day gift purchased by my daughter on 05/09/2019, from Best Buy Store, Hixson, TN. I registered the TV on May 21, 2019. On Feb. 21, 2020, I contacted your customer service office, and reported that the TV only had "snow for the picture, and static for sound". On May 30 and 31, I talked to an LG employee on the "chat' line, and after following all her instructions with no change in the TV sound, she concluded that there was a problem with the sound system in the TV. She recommended I take it to a local repair shop. I have never before had a problem with another LG product, so I believe this TV problem is a result of poor workmanship. I have a 54-in LG TV that has always worked perfectly.
