Live Auctioneers - Horrible customer support… we do not recommend live auctioneers
We've had two negative experiences with Live Auctioneers. The first was a fraudulent claim that a painting we purchased was from one artist, when a different artist actually painted it. Live Auctioneers provided absolutely zero assistance or support in helping us return the painting and recouping our money. Then on the purchase of a recent painting, we...

So, I decided to give online auctions a try and boy, was it a mistake. It was a perfect storm of disappointment, security breaches, and just plain awfulness. I bid on an item and it was rejected by the vendor. I messaged them to ask why and they rescinded my rejection without notifying me. So, I won the item, but I didn't even know it. It took me a while to realize it and when I did, I tried to figure out how to get it shipped. Unfortunately, the vendor kept forgetting about me and never sent me any information about the item. I had to keep emailing them for status updates, but the item never arrived. I wasted $54 on the item and $32 on shipping for absolutely nothing.
To make matters worse, a few days ago, I got massively hacked. My subscription was bombed, and I fell victim to a 'brushing' scam from Amazon. To top it off, two of my credit cards were compromised just four days before Christmas. I had to freeze my credit and re-issue all my credit cards, which made Christmas shopping really fun. I just finished a security scan from Experian, and the only recent hack on my record was from Liveauctioneers.com. I received no security warnings from them about the hack.
The worst part of all of this is that nobody can be held responsible. It's a real shame that this happened during the holiday season. It's a Merry Christmas indeed.
Buyer Beware: LiveAuctioneers Shipping Costs Can Be a Nightmare
I gotta say, LiveAuctioneers is a pretty sweet site. You just press a button and boom, you've bought yourself something cool. But let me tell you, the real problems start when it comes to shipping. I mean, I'm all the way in Lithuania and I bought this sweet Japanese picture from the Cedaburg auction for about 98 bucks. So I transferred the money and waited for my package to arrive. And waited. And waited. No contact, no reply to my emails, nothing. Finally, I get a message saying that my package is being sent by PostNet. Cool, right? Not so fast. PostNet sends me a shipping offer for a whopping 1263 dollars! What the heck am I supposed to do with that? Am I just supposed to know the shipping cost before I even bid on an item? I'm not made of money, man.
So yeah, needless to say, I'm a little hesitant to buy anything else from LiveAuctioneers. I don't want to get stuck in another situation where the shipping cost is ten times more than the value of the item. I think it should be possible to cancel a purchase if you're not satisfied with the shipping price. And when they send you an invoice for the item, they should include the shipping cost in that same invoice. It's just common sense, you know?
Now, I will say that I haven't had any problems with shipping from Peru or European auctions. But when it comes to US auctions, I'm just not willing to take that risk again. So yeah, LiveAuctioneers is great for buying stuff, but just be careful when it comes to shipping.
Buyer Beware: LiveAuctioneers Allows Scam Auction Houses to Sell Fake Items with No Vetting Process
LiveAuctioneers is a website that allows auction houses to sell their items online. However, there are some serious issues with the site that potential buyers should be aware of. Firstly, there is no vetting process for the auction houses that are allowed to sell on the site. This means that there are scam auction houses selling obvious fakes with no employees listed or physical address. It's a real shame that LiveAuctioneers allows this to happen.
The CEO of LiveAuctioneers, Phil Michaelson, is an obvious hypocrite. Just take a look at his Twitter page where he retweets quotes about "honesty". All the while, his business is trolling for new buyers for his auctions houses to rip them off. It's really disappointing to see someone who went to Harvard engaging in such unethical behavior.
LiveAuctioneers makes a percentage off every bid that goes through them, so they have no incentive to ensure that the items being sold are authentic. If you buy a fake item, good luck trying to recover your money. It's a huge problem that the majority of items sold at auction are not authentic. In fact, it's the third largest scam out there.
If you do decide to buy something at an auction, don't expect it to be authentic. If you go direct through the auction house, make sure they have a physical address and the names of people working there. If they only take debit, cash, or wire transfer, run away. These are all red flags that the auction house may not be legitimate.
Auction platforms like LiveAuctioneers should be held accountable for the fraud they engage in. There should be laws protecting consumers from these scams. Where are all the Harvard lawyers dealing with consumer law and protection? It's time for something to be done about this.
LiveAuctioneers Review: A Rollercoaster Ride of Good, Bad, and Ugly Moments
My experience with LiveAuctioneers was quite the rollercoaster ride, with some good, bad, and downright ugly moments.
Let's start with the good. LiveAuctioneers boasts an impressive variety of items available for bidding, and the process of signing up and entering an auction is smooth and straightforward. I appreciated the clear instructions on policies, shipping methods, and cues for notices and details of items. I also had occasion to reach out to a personal phone contact, and was pleased to receive a professional and prompt response to my questions and comments.
Now for the bad. Unfortunately, the shipping process can be quite lengthy, leading to an unfortunate wait for the item to finally arrive. This can be frustrating, especially when you're eagerly anticipating your purchase.
And finally, the ugly. I had a couple of interactions with auction houses that left a bad taste in my mouth. In one instance, an item I won arrived cracked. While the auction company did replace the item, I was taken aback when their representative told me that the crack was simply part of the item's character. In another instance, I experienced a long wait time for an item I won, and when I called the auction house to inquire, I was told twice that it would be sent out the next day and overnighted to me. However, this was not the case, and I was disappointed by the lie within their shipping department. It took a full five weeks after my initial call to finally receive the item.
Despite these hiccups, I still have trust and confidence in LiveAuctioneers and their practices. While there may be some bumps in the road, the overall experience is positive and the variety of items available is truly impressive.
LiveAuctioneers Review: A Scam Site Full of Shysters and Shams
I've been keeping an eye on LiveAuctioneers for a while now, checking out the various auctioneers they have on their site. But I gotta say, I'm not too impressed. They keep relisting the same items over and over again, because they just can't seem to sell them. I mean, come on guys, if it didn't sell the first time, what makes you think it'll sell the second or third time around?
One time, I saw this print that had been "auctioned" several times before. The minimum bid was only $1, so I figured, why not? I bid $10, and it showed up as $1 with only one bid. But just before the auction closed, some mysterious bidder came in and bid $250! After the auction was over, it showed only one bid at $250. Now, if this were a real auction, you'd see two bids - my original one and then the "$250 bid". But nope, it was just a sham, designed to make sure that a minimum floor was established so they could "sell" it. And guess what? That same exact print showed up again a few weeks later, with the same # of the print and everything. Talk about lazy!
And don't even get me started on the live auctions. You bid $100 on something, and the next thing you know, someone else comes in and bids $1500! Who in their right mind would do that? A shill, that's who. They're just trying to drive up the price so they can make more money. And if they don't get the price they want, some of the auctioneers just post "Lot Passed" after the auction. No mention of a reserve or anything. It's like they're just trying to scam people out of their hard-earned money.
So yeah, I'd say stay away from LiveAuctioneers. There are no deals to be had here, just a bunch of shysters trying to make a quick buck. Save your money and go somewhere else.
Mixed Experience with LiveAuctioneers: Beware of Pacific Global and Review Display Bias
I've had the chance to purchase two items from LiveAuctioneers, and my experience was a mixed bag. The first transaction went smoothly, and I was happy with my purchase. However, the second one was a complete nightmare.
I bought an 1834 Capped Bust Half Dollar from Pacific Global, which seems to be affiliated with LiveAuctioneers in some way. The coin I received was nothing like the one in the pictures. It was barely worth its weight in scrap metal. I was extremely disappointed and requested a refund.
After sending the coin back and exchanging 20 emails, I finally got my refund. However, I was surprised to find out that LiveAuctioneers removes the item from your "Won Items" list once a refund is processed. This means that I couldn't write a review about my experience with Pacific Global. It's frustrating to think that other people might fall for the same scam and not be able to warn others about it.
Another issue I have with LiveAuctioneers is the way they display reviews. They prioritize 5-star reviews, followed by 4-star reviews, and so on. You have to click "Show more reviews" to see the 1-star reviews. This means that unscrupulous auctioneers can sell ten good items and get away with scamming people on the eleventh one. Their 1-star reviews will always be hidden behind the positive ones.
Overall, I would advise buyers to be cautious when using LiveAuctioneers and to avoid Pacific Global. They seem like a fly-by-night company that doesn't care about customer satisfaction.
Live Auctioneers and Imperial Auctions: A Cautionary Tale for International Buyers
I've been using Live Auctioneers for a good five years now and I've spent a lot of money on their website with auction houses. I've never had any problems with them before, until recently. I bid on an auction hosted by Imperial Auction of FL, which was a new auction house for me. I was very careful to read their terms and conditions regarding payment and shipping outside of the USA. I saw no problems in their Term & Conditions other than I had to pay Live Auctioneers rather than them directly. No big deal. So I proceeded to register for the auction using my Canadian address. Everything went fine and I was accepted to bid. I bought around $700 worth of goods and promptly paid the Invoice sent by Live Auctioneers. I separately mailed the auction house with shipping instructions. After hearing nothing from the auction house I mailed again after about a week, again nothing. After mailing them a third time inquiring about shipping I was forced to contact Live Auctioneers.
On Nov 17th, I received a nasty phone call from Imperial Auctions telling me that they don't ship to Canada because they can't get insurance! I don't know what the hell they are talking about as every other auction house in the US I deal with can. I told them so, and if they can't be bothered to learn their own USPS system just cancel the transaction. Joe, (I think that was his name) acted like I was trying to rip him off and told me if I wanted my goods I had better send him a money order and then maybe he would refund my credit card. Since the credit card transaction was made out to Live Auctioneers I know that he can't issue a refund. Blatant lies and an attempt to extort more money.
When I pointed out to Live Auctioneers that they are responsible for this mess since they were the ones who I paid, they stopped responding to me as well. I hope I can get the money back from my credit card company buy doing a charge back. I will not longer deal with Live Auctioneers who seem to be in league with backwater auction houses who want international coverage but don't have a clue how to deal with anything but their own little backwater, side of the road auctions. It's a shame that Live Auctioneers is willing to work with these types of auction houses and not take responsibility for their actions. I would advise anyone who is thinking of using Live Auctioneers to be very careful and read the terms and conditions of each auction house carefully.
Live Auctioneers (LA) Approval Process Raises Red Flags - My Experience
As a newbie to the world of online bidding, I wanna share my story and email exchange with Live Auctioneers (LA).
After finding a couple of prints that caught my eye and felt I would like to bid on, I made an account with LA and clicked on a link to be approved as an official bidder. After a day or so, I was declined for no stated reason. I replied to the initial email, asking what information was necessary to be approved, only to receive a second email that said I "was approved." The email agent, 'NIMA", replied that a picture ID and a copy of your credit card was needed to be approved. #RedFlag While I was semi OK with sending an ID, I was not with so casually sending CC information. And so, I explored the website a bit more and found an area under my profile where I could "safely" input my CC information and so, I did. I informed Nima of this and she kept responding to me to send picture ID and credit card number. My consistent response was that I had already placed my CC info on my profile on the website and then went on to express my concern about alternate ways to seek approval. Consistently, Nima stuck to her response as requiring facial ID (no problem) and CC information to which I went further expressing my concern over that as I didn't feel comfortable with providing digits and expiration date over unsecured email. I asked if there were alternate ways to address the issue, but never did Nima acknowledge the question. Finally, Nima left the conversation without any willingness to work with me to find an acceptable solution. Maybe they are so good and successful with what they do, they don't need to spend countless time with small bidders like me. Who knows. But, what I am taken with is what seems to be an antiquated way of approving bidders and a frankness of "you're not worth my time." I personally don't feel good with the whole episode and email exchange as it gives me pause of what kind of operation they are running. Maybe this was an isolated incident, but it still smells of something not on the "up and up." So, based on this, I'm not giving them a high rating at all. The prints I wanted to bid on are not worth compromising my personal identity and credit rating.

LiveAuctioneers Allows Review Manipulation and Feedback Extortion: My Terrible Experience
I recently had a terrible experience with LiveAuctioneers. I thought I could trust the auctioneers and the reviews on this website, but it turns out that the company allows them to engage in Review Manipulation and Feedback Extortion. It's hard to know if you are dealing with an honest auction house or a shady one. Unfortunately, I ended up with two bad ones all in one week, and it was like pulling teeth to get any assistance from LiveAuctioneers.
One of the auctioneers has been threatening me, stalking me, and took my private information and published it online outside of the website without my consent to retaliate for leaving him a bad review. I called, I sent them screenshots, I demanded and begged them for help, and they gave me a cold shoulder. Shocked and disgusted at the utter callousness of the LiveAuctioneers staff. They shelter shady auction houses who misuse and abuse your private information, who engage in questionable business practice on their site with impunity.
I've been cyber-bullied by an auction house on their website "Lot14 Auctions", and when I complained about it instead of helping me they deleted my account and scapegoated my threat of a lawsuit against the auctioneer who was causing this. They shamefully told me I was "threatening" but my threat was that I would sue the auction for harassment and violating my privacy, which I have every right to do. It was the auction who sent me extortion emails and threats- very specific threats designed to get me to shut up about my bad experience there. The auctioneer threatened to wreck the business where I work if I didn't withdraw negative feedback for his business.
LiveAuctioneers turned a blind eye to the auctioneer threatening the consumer, but if the customer responds to that by saying they will sue if he doesn't stop it, LA thinks the customer is "threatening". It's not only unethical- THIS IS ILLEGAL. IT'S FEEDBACK EXTORTION. All of the other websites have policies to protect consumers from this, but LA doesn't apparently. They let him get away with it. I sent them screen shots and they did nothing. Their staff told me the auctioneers were "vetted" but here is an auctioneer stalking me online, harassing me, following me to my workplace and trying to embarrass me to friends, coworkers, clients and customers of other businesses, telling strangers about my shopping habits. Does that sound like a "vetted" auctioneer to you?
ANYONE would have threatened that auctionhouse with a lawsuit under those circumstances, and that I had an outburst at him with a couple of swear words is a big SO WHAT. They care more about their sensitive ears than the unethical and illegal business practices of the auction houses who sell there. They also told me my language violated their harassment policy, but they will not show anyone the actual policy. What kind of harassment policy covers swear words but does not protect the consumer from actual real-life harassment from the auctioneer?
And then there's the other auction house who gave me damaged goods I had to leverage a creditcard chargeback to get a refund. There is a "dispute" process if you don't pay, but there is NO reporting mechanism for recourse against auctioneers who are engaging in far worse behavior than a couple of swear words. The website tells you to report policy violations or problems, but there is little to no actual way for consumers to do that. It also says they take your privacy seriously, but they didn't care about mine at all.
Their "bidder support" phone number is ONE person's voicemail, and they never call back. If you get an email response in 3 days, it's lucky. I was left feeling as if I was forced to accept the damaged goods, because they can "dispute" it and keep me from bidding on other auctions. Or the auctioneer can just find your workplace and embarrass you into doing whatever they want. Consumers are defenseless, and the company lets them do it. There is a corporate culture of anti-buyer and pro-seller.
Then on top of that, I kept telling them the whole time that auctioneer had never disputed the invoice, and it never said that on my account- I have pictures of this. It actually said "paid after 51 days and no disputes were filed" and then later AFTER "suspending" my bidding priveleges, they changed it to "past due, in dispute" but they claim they are not covering anything up... yeah right. They can't even get that right. And they don't think after all that a customer might just get so aggravated as to utter a couple of slurs? And that's grounds for suspension, but the auctioneer stalking you, actually threatening you with illegal behavior and illegally sharing your private information is not? What planet are these people on?!
My Experience with Liveauctioneers.com: Shady Auction Houses and False Advertising
I gotta tell ya, I've had some experiences with Liveauctioneers.com that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. Let me break it down for you: Liveauctioneers.com is a platform for auction houses, but they don't actually run the auctions themselves. Instead, they just provide a site for auction houses to use. I bid on some jewelry and an autographed guitar from a few different auction houses, including 1st Asset Collections, IRS Liquidations, Federal Government Liquidation, US Auction Gallery, and High End Memorabilia. Now, let me tell you, none of these are actually United States government-run auction houses, despite what their names might suggest.
So, here's the deal: the jewelry I bought from these auction houses was supposed to be new and worth thousands of dollars, according to their "estimates" and certified appraisals. But let me tell you, those estimates and appraisals were a bunch of hooey. The jewelry I received was of much lower quality than what was advertised. For example, I bought a ring that was supposedly worth $7K-8K, but it was really only worth $600. And some of the pieces I received were scratched or not even the same as the ones in the photos. Plus, the descriptions for the quality of the jewelry were often vague, so you never really knew what you were getting.
And don't even get me started on the autographed guitar I "won" for $900. It had been 17 days since I won the auction and I still hadn't received any information about when it would be arriving. When I looked back at the listing, I saw that it could take up to 30 days to receive the item. And then I noticed that there were two auctions for the exact same guitar the next week, with the exact same photos. I contacted the auction house and they told me they didn't even have the guitar yet! They were just auctioning off items they didn't have in the hopes of getting a discount from the seller later on. Shady, right?
So, what did I do about all of this? I raised a stink with the auction houses, Liveauctioneers.com, and the BBB. And you know what? I eventually got refunded by every single auction house. But it took a lot of emails and threats of legal action to get there. And even then, I didn't get my buyer's fee back, which was around 19-25%.
Now, I'm not saying that Liveauctioneers.com is solely responsible for these shady auction houses. But I do think they could do a better job of vetting the auction houses they allow on their site. The bad ones make the good ones look bad, too.
So, what did I learn from all of this? If something seems too good to be true, it probably is. Read the entire listing description carefully, and contact the auction house with any questions or concerns. Look up reviews of the auction house online and on the BBB. And remember that you can't actually see or handle the items up for bid, so you don't really know if they're authentic or not. If you really want to buy something at auction, I'd recommend going to a live auction instead.
Overall, I hope this review helps you make an informed decision about using Liveauctioneers.com. And if you have any questions or want to chat about my experiences, feel free to hit me up at [protected]@aol.com.

I was trying to register to bid in an auction starting Nov. 6 and was blocked as possible fraud activity after entering my credit card information. Why was I blocked as this is a current credit card. You also failed to accept the code that you sent to me. 795620 What is the problem with registering?

MJ Auction House
I bought a piece of art by "Richard Jerzy" from the MJ Auction House on September 3 and it arrived today. It is clearly not from the artist. I feel they misrepresented the piece and misled me. I am furious.
I have been bidding on items through Live Auctioneers since 2017 and have never had a problem. But this is fraud.
And I am sure they suspected this-the images on the website do not show the frame-but the frame is not anything like Mr. Jerzy has used before (photos available on request). I am convinced MJ Auction House knew exactly what they were doing and tried to unload this amateur piece as an original Jerzy.
Claimed loss: $350 for piece+ $98 buyer's premium + $129 mailing fee (even though the package said it was $33.65 to mail)=$603.88. Invoice available on request.
Desired outcome: Refund of my $603.88 and free return shipping to MJ Auction.

It’s frustrating to feel misled, especially when you've had years of positive experiences with Live Auctioneers. Receiving a piece that’s clearly not from the artist, Richard Jerzy, sounds like a serious case of misrepresentation. The fact that the auction house didn’t show the frame in the listing but sent a piece with a questionable frame only raises more suspicion.
It’s important to escalate this with Live Auctioneers and demand a resolution, as it does sound like a case of fraud. Keep all documentation, including the photos of the frame and the listing, and be persistent in requesting a refund or return. Hopefully, they’ll take this seriously and make things right for you.
how do I escalate this? What is my next step?
I have not received the items I purchased.
The auction was held July 6. I do not know the auctioneers name but was under the Louisianne banner. I purchased six items listed on invoice #6714477 totaling $473.17. I have called several times with no one answering. They told me they took the items to the UPS store and they were to contact me with the cost of shipping. To date no one has contacted me.
Desired outcome: I would prefer to receive the items. Minimum is to get a refund of $473.17.Thomas Barber

Authorized Theft
On the liveauctioneers website, I sent a request to consign a few of my antiques and collectables.
I was reached out by a "trusted partner", who said they would be interested in the items
The auction house received the items, but refuses to sell or help return the items. My items have been stolen at this point.
I reached out to Liveauctioneers for help, via their email and phone number, and I was told that they cannot/will not assist. They are not responsible for any members on their website.
Even worse, they CC'd the auction house in the email, giving the auction company permission to do whatever they would like with my items.
Stay away from this company and their partners. They authorize theft on their platform with absolutely no recourse for their partners.
Desired outcome: Force their partner to return my items or kick them off the platform

I want to file a complaint on an auction house that is doing illegal actions. The auction house is going under another name so they can bid and run the bids up. The auction house will decline your bid if they want the item or for no reason. This auction house is the worst. You receive broken items and never get a refund and if you consign your items you don't get them back. I want this auction house shut down and or investigated. Thank you.
Desired outcome: Shut Them Down
Emanon Auction House
Unethical Bidding Process
During an auction, i placed a bid of US$720 for an item under Triple SSS Designs auction house, but i was outbid by other buyers who placed bids at US$900+ and above.
I left the auction page because I no longer wanted to place another bid. I re-entered the auction page again later as I was curious on the final winning bid amount.
To my horror, I saw the bid amount decrease in front of my eyes and it landed at US$720 and I was informed that I had won the lot.
I informed the auction house that I was outbid by other buyers earlier on and i do not accept the lot. However, Triple SSS Designs told me that I have to pay 20% of the winning amount as they have to re-list the item for auction.
I filed a formal complaint to LiveAuctioneers but did not hear back trom them till date. My stand is still firm that I do not accept the winning lot!
Desired outcome: Retract the winning lot and I do not want to pay for the 20% fee.
Scam, lost USD 3600
I bought two lithographs from LiveAuctioneers for USD 3600. Then came the invoice from LiveAuctioneers asking me to pay the balance by bank transfer to the so called action house.
I have not heard from them since. The 'auction house' (Caroline Nguyen) has deleted their email address and website and LiveAuctioneers have not contacted me.
Everything is a scam and I have lost USD 3600 so far. And LiveAuctioneers does nothing, even though the invoice was sent through them.
Desired outcome: I'd appreciate a acceptable solution from LiveAuctioneers
Purchase from Antique Jewelry Auction House through LiveAuctioneers
I purchased a Usd 22’065.- SkyDweller Rolex from an Auction house registered and proposed by LiveAuctioneers and never received my item. I contacted the LiveAuctioneers support team several times, they simply opened a ticket and never provided any help or details concerning the Antique Jewelry House Inc. that has simply disappeared. I got no support or feedback to get my money back or to my last five requests. They moreover removed the auction house from their site meaning that I have no way to contact them anymore and LiveAuctioneers is not providing me the contact details. Be ready to loose your money on LiveAuctioneers and to purchase from fake Auction houses. Out of the total price Usd 3’565.00 are LiveAuctioneers commissions paid for nothing. My advice buy directly from real auction houses and avoid unnecessary intermediates.
Desired outcome: My money back or my Rolex
Lot 0151 Vintage Assorted 925 sterling silver rings
On June 07, I purchased a lot of rings from Activity Auctions. They sold for 250.00. Auction estimate was 600.00 - 800.00. Their fee is 25%, or 62.50. S&H was 10.59. I wrote to them and they said it was listed as a 100 g lot. I see no where in their description or title that shows 100 g. Their picture shows way more rings than what I received. In no universe are the rings I received worth $600 - $800, nor are they worth the amount spent.
Desired outcome: I want the rest of the order shown on the picture. If they would offer a full refund for getting it wrong, then they should no longer be allowed on your site as an auctioneer. This is blatantly fraudulent.
LiveAuctioneers Review: Frustrating Experience with Hidden Fees and Unfair Bidding Practices
I recently had an experience with LiveAuctioneers that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I was excited to win a lamp for a low price of 10.00, but my excitement quickly turned to confusion when I had to chase down the company to find out what was going on with my purchase. To my surprise, the 10.00 lamp turned into a 100.00 lamp with additional fees, taxes, and shipping costs. As someone who sells on Ebay frequently, I know that if I charged someone 100.00 after selling something for 10.00, I would be kicked off the platform. It all seems like a bunch of BS to me.
To make matters worse, I placed around 70 bids on various auctions but only won two. I suspect that if the amount is too low, LiveAuctioneers bids on their own items at the last minute to avoid selling them at such a low price. It's frustrating to feel like the odds are stacked against you as a buyer.
In addition, I won another auction but was told that I didn't pay within their time limit (which was only a few days), so they cancelled my order. I'm still trying to get my money back, but it seems like the auction house and the seller are both blaming each other, leaving me feeling like I'm getting screwed over.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend LiveAuctioneers to anyone. The experience was frustrating and left me feeling like I wasted my time and money. If you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy auction site, I suggest looking elsewhere.
Liveauctioneers' Top Rated Auction Houses: Don't Be Fooled, Read the Reviews First
Yo, listen up. I gotta warn ya about Liveauctioneers. They say they got these "top rated" auction houses, but don't be fooled. Them rankings don't mean squat. We done bid on auctions that were supposed to be "top" and ended up with some real bad experiences. Like, customers be leaving negative comments left and right, talkin' bout how unprofessional and incompetent the auction house was. And yet, they still be "top ranked". It's a joke, man.
So, here's what ya gotta do. Before ya bid on anything, read ALL the comments. Even the ones with one, two, or three stars. Cuz trust me, there's probably a ton of other customers who had bad experiences but didn't bother to leave a comment. Don't waste your time with them shady auctions. Find the ones that actually act ethically and professionally. There's plenty of other auctions out there that'll treat ya right and give ya some fine items. Just gotta do your research, ya know?
LiveAuctioneers.com: Enabling Fraudulent Provenance Claims?" - A Disappointed Customer's Review
I recently had an experience with LiveAuctioneers.com that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I purchased an object that was purportedly owned by a famous historical figure and had a high "professional" appraisal. The auction house promoting the item was Milestone Auctions, which was featured on Live Auctioneers.
However, upon receiving the object, I discovered that the provenance was a complete fraud. There was no proof of provenance, and I felt like I had been scammed. I immediately provided proof of fraud and registered a complaint with Live Auctioneers. They assigned me a case number and assured me that they believed that all sales should be based upon accurate and transparent descriptions.
But to be honest, I found their response to be a load of B.S. It seemed like they were just giving me lip service and not taking my complaint seriously. I felt like they were condoning and enabling crooks, rather than protecting their customers.
I have attached a JPEG of my correspondence with LiveAuctioneers.com, which illustrates their lack of concern for my situation. It's frustrating to think that a company that claims to be dedicated to transparency and accuracy would allow such blatant fraud to occur on their site.
Overall, my experience with LiveAuctioneers.com was disappointing and frustrating. I would caution anyone considering making a purchase on their site to be very careful and do their due diligence before bidding on any items.
Beware of LiveAuctioneers and Austin Auction Gallery: A Scam Review
I recently had a terrible experience with LiveAuctioneers and their affiliate, Austin Auction Gallery. Let me tell you, stay away from these guys! The online bidding process seemed to be going smoothly, and I was thrilled to see that I had the winning bid on six different lots. I was so excited to finally get my hands on these items that I had been eyeing for a while.
But then, something strange happened. Overnight, someone on LiveAuctioneers apparently won all six of the lots that I had bid on. I couldn't believe it! There were no other bidders on the items against me, so how could this be possible? My gut feeling was that they didn't want to sell the items for such a low price, so they faked sales to other bidders. What a scam!
I have photos showing that I had the high bid on all six items, so it just isn't humanly possible for me to have lost all of them to last-minute bidders. It's clear that LiveAuctioneers and Austin Auction Gallery are using predatory practices to take advantage of unsuspecting bidders like me. I'm so disappointed and frustrated with this experience.
I would strongly advise anyone considering using LiveAuctioneers or Austin Auction Gallery to think twice. Don't waste your time or money on these sites. They're just out to scam you and take your hard-earned cash. Stay far away from these guys!
Navigating LiveAuctioneers: Tips and Tricks for a Successful Experience
I've been around the block when it comes to auction houses, and I can tell you that LiveAuctioneers is one of the better ones out there. Of course, you still need to be careful and do your research, but I've had good experiences with them overall.
One thing to watch out for is items that seem to appear over and over again, going for the same price each time. This can be a sign that something fishy is going on. It's also important to check the estimates and make sure they're reasonable. You can usually find information about similar items online, so do your homework before bidding.
Another thing to be cautious about is sending money transfers. There's no way to get your money back if something goes wrong, so it's best to use a more secure payment method if possible. And don't expect LiveAuctioneers to help you out if something goes wrong - they're just there to manage the website and collect their fee.
It's also a good idea to read reviews of specific auction houses before bidding. I once got burned by an auction house that claimed an item was solid gold when it was actually just gold-plated. When I complained, they said they would have specified if it was solid gold. That's pretty unethical, if you ask me. So be sure to ask questions and get written confirmation if you're unsure about something.
Overall, LiveAuctioneers is a decent option for buying and selling items online. Just be careful and do your research, and you should be fine.
LiveAuctioneers Review: Frustrations and Risks Outweigh the Convenience
I've been using LiveAuctioneers for a couple of weeks now, and my experience has been a bit of a mixed bag. During my first week, everything went smoothly. I was able to place bids on items I was interested in, and my bids were accepted and posted in a timely manner. I even won my first auction using the platform!
However, during my second week, things took a turn for the worse. I was bidding on four different auctions for several items, but my bids never seemed to make it through. Even though my bids were higher than the highest bid and I sent them before the item closed, I still didn't win. To make matters worse, my lost item bids didn't even show up in my account.
If you're serious about your auctions, I would strongly advise against using this service. From what I can tell, LiveAuctioneers simply can't handle the bid traffic on their servers, which makes the service not worth the hours of wasted time watching and bidding.
After this happened to me, I did some research and found that LiveAuctioneers has a lot of customer complaints. They're ranked 93rd in online auction services by the BBB, and there have been reports of personal information being hacked from their servers. Additionally, customers have reported that they don't receive any help when an auction house doesn't ship after they've paid their invoice. There have even been reports of charges and collections for customers who never bid on items because their account was hacked.
Overall, I would strongly advise against using LiveAuctioneers. While it may seem like a convenient way to bid on items, the risks and frustrations simply aren't worth it.
LiveAuctioneers Review: Disappointing Experience with Bidding and Customer Service
LiveAuctioneers is a website that allows people to bid on items in auctions from the comfort of their own homes. I recently had an experience with this website that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I found an item that I really wanted and bid on it way early. I kept getting notifications that I was the highest bidder at Nadeau Auctions. I was feeling pretty good about my chances of winning the item. However, as I watched my highest bid get placed, which I offered two weeks early, someone "on the floor" bid the SAME amount and for some reason (undeclared reserve?) they got the item. Live bidding was shut down before I could offer more (which I would have, lots more).
I contacted both LiveAuctioneers and Nadeau to try to get some answers. Their excuse was that it's up to the auctioneer to pick the bid. So their advice to bid early and high is meaningless and there is no action to be taken. I was really disappointed with this response. It felt like they didn't care about my experience or my concerns.
I've decided to take action and have contacted my State's Attorney General's fraud department. I'm hoping that they will be able to help me get some answers and maybe even some compensation for my disappointment.
Overall, I would not recommend using LiveAuctioneers. It seems like they are just there to obey the auction house, not advocate for you. My advice would be to bid directly with the auction house if you really want an item. That way, you can be sure that your bid is being considered and that you have a fair chance of winning the item.
Buyer Beware: My Experience with Nest Egg Auction and LiveAuctioneers
I had a problem with Nest Egg Auction and Mary Ellen Brechlin. I sent them payment for an item I won, but I wanted to make sure it was authentic. I asked for written proof that the item was from the Estate of one of Handel Lamps' top decorators and artists. They replied that the item did not meet reserve and was returned to the consignor. To avoid any issues with being refunded, I stopped my check. I left feedback for Nest Egg, but LiveAuctioneers didn't publish it. I tried again, but LiveAuctioneers told me not to post feedback. I tried one more time to post factual feedback, but LiveAuctioneers emailed me and said my account was suspended. If you're thinking about using LiveAuctioneers, be careful. You won't get any help from them if you have an issue. I've been using their services since they started, and I've had a few problems with auction houses. I asked LiveAuctioneers for help, but they did nothing.
LiveAuctioneers Review: A Total Scam - Don't Waste Your Time or Money
I gotta tell ya, LiveAuctioneers ain't all it's cracked up to be. Sure, they might have some good deals on refurbished watches, but let me tell you, it's not worth the hassle. First off, they don't come in their original packaging and there's no operating instructions. And if you have any issues with your purchase, good luck trying to get in touch with the company. They give you a warranty card with no phone number and it's hard to find their contact info online. And even if you do manage to get in touch with them, they'll just harass you instead of actually helping you out.
And don't even get me started on their claims that these watches are 100% authentic and brand new. All they do is clean 'em up a little and make you think they're worth more than they really are. It's a total scam, if you ask me.
I'm not the only one who thinks so, either. I'm planning on reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau in my state and in Texas. And I'm telling you, if you're thinking about buying from LiveAuctioneers, don't. Just stay away. You'll save yourself a lot of trouble.
Oh, and one more thing. They'll try to tell you that some of these watches are worth $800 to $1,200. But you can find the same watches on eBay for $50, with all the proper paperwork and packaging. It's a load of bull, if you ask me.
So yeah, stay away from LiveAuctioneers. Trust me, it's not worth it.
LiveAuctioneers and NY Elizabeth's Lack of Responsibility: A Frustrating Bidding Experience
I recently had an experience with LiveAuctioneers that left me feeling frustrated and confused. I was participating in an auction by NY Elizabeth on January 10th, 2021. One lot came up and it was displaying in red for 2K USD. The amount lingered on, and I bid on 2K, but nothing happened. Then suddenly, the bidding jumped to 17K on the side tab, and then the site flashed 18K and said that I won it for 18K. I did not ever bid on 18K, and I was completely dumbstruck.
Normally, when we click on an amount on this site, the site says "bid has been sent", and then it says "you are the highest bidder", and it exhibits all bids on the side tab. In this case, none of these happened, and it did not say my bid has been sent either. Then suddenly, it said I won for 18K.
I immediately contacted both NY Elizabeth and Live Auctioneers within seconds of the incident. I explained exactly as above and wrote several emails. However, both parties washed their hands off and did not take responsibility for the issue. Now, NY Elizabeth has put it for collection, and the collection agency is sending me letters. I have submitted a complaint to the Federal Trade Commission and consumer protection because I should not be responsible for their problems.
Overall, I am disappointed with the lack of support and assistance from LiveAuctioneers and NY Elizabeth. The bidding process was confusing and did not work as it should have, and now I am being held responsible for an error that was not my fault. I hope that this issue can be resolved soon, and that LiveAuctioneers and NY Elizabeth can take responsibility for their mistakes.
