beyoncé concert
Hello,
My name is Teresa and I attended the Beyoncé and Jay Z concert this past Sunday September 23rd at the Rose Bowl. My tickets were purchased on Saturday the 22nd.
When I arrived at the Rose Bowl and tried to go through security I was informed that purse was too big and that I was to dispose of it. I was told there was a bag check line and then was told the line was about a 2 hour wait. I was forced to put my purse in a bush and put all of my belongings in a plastic bag. This essentially ruined my concert experience. Thousands of girls were forced to leave their purses! It's beyond upsetting that a company would do this to their customers! This rule should have been strongly advertised on the ticket! After the concert ended and I went to collect my purse out of the bushes, along with hundreds of other girls, I was rudely informed by security that they have collected all the bags and were planning on reselling "all the designer bags". This was beyond insulting and unprofessional! As I left the venue with all my belongings in a plastic bag and having lost my favorite crossbody bag, I overheard girls saying they missed the entire show waiting on line for their purses. I believe the venue, artist and promoters owe all of the attendees of the show an apology for this horrible experience.
I have attached a link to show a picture of my bag that I was told is "too big" to bring into the concert. I have attempted to show you the ticket where it does not state anything about the "purse rule". But I am unable to pull it up now that the show is over. But I am sure you are able to pull up and ticket that it does not clearly state anything about the unfair purse rule.
I would appreciate a response to my message above, along with the name of the security company used to this Beyoncé concert held at the Rose Bowl on September 23rd.

jason aldean concert at glen helen amphitheater
Hi, Jason Aldean performed at Glen Helen Amphitheater this past Saturday Sept. 22, 2018. We never made it to the concert. The traffic getting into the venue parking lot was completely stopped. We sat on the freeway almost at the off-ramp for 2 hours and moved only a few feet. There were cars coming from every direction trying to get to the venue and no one was moving. People were getting out of their vehicles and walking from the freeway trying to get there. People were getting out of their vehicles and walking down the embankment to pee. The frustration level was ridiculous. I understand having a traffic jam for a big event like this, but this wasn't a traffic jam. The vehicles for as far as we could see just weren't moving. Even when it was down to a single lane, traffic was stopped. I have no idea what the problem may have been but thousand of people paid for the concert and missed it as a result of not being able to get into the parking lot. What type of compensation do you offer?
bad customer service
There's an employee by the name of Stephanie J. who is working at the Niall Horan concert in West Palm Beach, FL, section 6 SPECIFICALLY, who has a nasty attitude and was extremely rude and disrespectful with her slick remarks. It is appalling to witness an employee of such a respected company to behave in such a manner. I was both shocked and disappointed to have been treated in this way and believe you should be made aware of your employee's actions. I trust that this is not the way Live Nation does business.
hollywood casino amphitheatre tinley park
This summer we had purchased tickets for 2 events. 1 was the Keith Urban Concert and the second was Pentatonix. We were really looking forward to both and splurged by buying tickets in a suite. Both suites were on the 300 level 307 and 309.
The Keith Urban Concert was first and we were really disappointed when we could not make out the lyrics to the opening acts! When the artists were speaking, forget it, hadn't no idea what they were saying, short of sub titles on the tv screens we had no clue what was going on. When Keith Urban came on we were hoping for some improvement in the sound quality. Again, if you did not know the song, you could barely make out the melody. And again, forget about any spoken words, 4 tickets $104 each down the drain. This past weekend we went to the Pentatonix concert and were praying for something better, not like we could have returned the tickets. Again no idea what the heck the opening acts were talking about or singing about a total loss. When the main act came on we really needed sub titles. The whole suite was in shock that we could not make out the words or tunes. Half way through at about the costume change we decided to cut our loses and leave. On our way down the stairs we stopped briefly on the second floor realizing that we could suddenly make out the words! With 6 empty suites and open doors, we found ourselves a empty spot to finally enjoy the concert we paid for. We were promptly asked to leave by security even after complaining and with lots of open suites. Their comment was "you are not the only people complaining, the sound quality is horrible up on the third floor"
So there you go, $600 in tickets at your venue and we feel robbed and cheated out of our hard earned money. We didn't pay to view these groups, we paid to hear these groups. We did not get what we paid for. No less the parking, the $20 drinks the stale popcorn. All in, a loss of over $700. How can you in good faith sell tickets to people to hear a mic is Ian when on the 300 level you can not make out the lyrics nor the melody? We would like to be refunded for our tickets as you did not provide the service we paid for. Your staff could have easily accommodated us but rather have empty suites and unhappy patrons. I have attached the receipt for 1 concert and can provide the other if need be. (I don't have it on hand)
tickets not adversited clearly
Purchased ticket for Korn at the Hollywood Palladium. Bought "VIP" thinking it came with other things. When getting there. They said that none of that was included. Just access to balcony. Which I can careless. I didn't even go up there. Reason for buying was the other things included. Livenation did not clearly explain this while purchasing. It's on their. Reason that. There was at least 20 other people at the event asking for their extra item and getting denied. Would like some refund for this fasely/incorrect advertising.
one republic t shirt - order no. 8671500
I placed the above order on September 4 and noticed the country for shipping was Australia not the US. I have sent in excess of 18 emails and made a similar number of calls to your customer service number (all of which were disconnected), trying to ensure the country to be shipped to was amended. I have not yet received ANY response two weeks later.
I would like to know if the order was amended per my instructions and if it has been delivered.
all live nation events
Since Live Nation has taken over the event venues I'm afraid I won't be attending too many events. Parking $40! $20 cocktails even a slice of pizza is $8.50. It's gouging, plain and simple. And when you find a ticket it your price range, there is an extra $50-$60 per ticket in fees, making it not affordable. As someone in my mid 60's I have spent many years going to concerts. But now you need to plan on a $700 night just to see a show. It's all about greed. I'm going to be much more picky about where I go and what I will pay for. Eating elsewhere and even taking an Uber ride will save me $100! Not happy at all with Live Nation.
george amphitheater september 15, 2018
We attended the Avett Bros concert at this beautiful venue. Music was wonderful -
Concession choices and concession staffing were both equally awful. Waited in line for about 1/2 hour while watching our server attend to everything but taking orders - we were eventually told that what we wanted was out. M and M ‘s- out. Bottomless popcorn - out. Pulled pork - out. Credit card machine busted.
Equally below standard were the bathroom facilities. Multitudes of porta potties. Again long lines. And one sink for hand washing. With all the $ we pay for tickets, not to mention $13-$17 for a can af beer ( no cup)$10 for a styrofoam cup of noodles. Live Nation can do better than this.
Parking within 1/2 mile of the venue -$70.
Add in the cost of the ticket. Likely average $150 per person. The venue holds 20, 000. You can do the math.
Likely the last visit for me.
paid for vip tickets for the jay-z concert
I purchased 3 VIP tickets for the Jay-Z concert for 9/13/18, Mercedes Superdome. My complaint, parties who purchased less costly tickets were allowed in the section I paid for. That said, I am requesting a credit on my purchase that is conducive to what those parties paid. I paid for the Bee Hive. The experience was daunted and displeasing. Not Fair! A photo is attached.
transportation/ runner
On the afternoon of sept 1 I was in the upper lot a Lakewood Amp in Atl and I witnessed an older white woman with short black hair and tattoos on both arms driving a black passenger van light what appeared to be a glass pipe while sitting in the corner of the lot. She noticed that I saw her actions and immediately began to shout obscenities and obnoxious hand gestures and racial slurs. (I am a black man) until I left her vicinity. I do not know what the policy is regarding illegal drug use but I'm sure it's not using in the parking lot while operating one of their viehicles.
bag check in workers
I had purchased tickets and decided to go the route via mobile app. It was a little bit cheaper and I didn't have to worry about losing my ticket. However, by the time we were able to get in our seats around 5 my phone was dying. My husband spoke with someone who sent us to the box office to get the tickets printed so we would be able to get in and out of our seats if we needed to use the restroom or get food/drinks. I purchased a $38 bottle of wine from a vendor in the concert and had it in a bag that i had received from a vendor in the concert. While knowing there was no re-entry they allowed us to go talk to the box office to get our tickets printed. When we went to go back the people that checked my bag was extremely rude and told me I couldn't take the wine back into the venue. I understand that we walked out and weren't technically supposed to bring things back in. However, I asked if I could just drink it because there was still a half of a bottle of wine the woman said no and poured it all out. I felt completely disrespected and my husband advised me to send an email or explain the situation if I was requested feedback. At this point in time I'm not sure if we will go back to this venue. I would also like to note that I was well aware there were charging stations next to the restrooms, however my phone is a Galaxy S8 plus and there weren't any chargers for my phone. When I was at the box office there was a man in front of me with the exact same issue. Some of the workers need to show way more respect. Like I previously stated I'm unsure if I will purchase tickets at this venue again.
unethical behavior
On the night of 08/29/2018 I attended a concert at Isleta Amphitheater. I lost my phone and was able to track it to an employees house. A supervisor over the security team. His name Victor Lovato.
When I went to ask if he had my phone he claims someone took it and would be returning it to the amphitheater - that never happened.
Victor's story does not match at all with the phone's tracking information.
I have contact Sean Burton and GQ Sanchez from Isleta Amphitheater. Disappointed to hear your own employees are taking phones from your patrons.
insurance claim / broken phone
I have called around 5 or 6 times trying to get my phone replaced as one of the security personnel at Ruoff Home mortgage center had broken it at the Deirks Bentley concert well over a month ago. They have told me that insurance has been notified and has tried to reach me but I have not had a single email or phone call regarding it. And I tell them this every time I call again . It's becoming very frustrating as I need a new phone that live nation/ruoff is responsible for breaking and have no concern what so ever . I'm considering other routes to resolve this very shortly.
bb&t pavilion and security issues
I'm writing to you to the event of Godsmack/Shinedown Concert on August 26th, 2018. We purchased summer passes for BB&T and went to all the shows went no issues. But this event the Security handled this situation in a wrong manner. We come from Allentown PA which is about 2 hours away from Stadium and left early for traffic. We arrived waiting for the gates to open and went for the seats we wanted. Placed our chairs there along rail in the Lawn area. My son who is 16 years old, still a child remind you was sitting in the chairs while my husband and I went for gatorades and water waiting for Shinedown to go on stage. When we came back we had some drunk people in our area which at this point would not move. They physically assaulted me twice, hit my son hard enough to have his glasses thrown off his face as well as my husband. My husband went for security at this point that's when my son was hit. Security came and didn't even ask any eye witness what happened. While I was gathering our drinks and chairs, they had left and I tried to find the Security office. Once I did, I was told by them to go away and my family will be out soon. I went out to the ramp area outside to get fresh air while waiting. I saw 6 of the attackers walking outside the building to go up the ramp to the seating area. While doing so they heavily harassed me and publicly humiliated in front of 2 female security officers who saw what they did. They got in my face to harass me. I was told to calm down by the females, which they nothing about by the way. Which by that time I was already assaulted twice and watching our attackers walking into the show. I walked over the females and they saw the Head Security walking and asked him to come over. He told me that we were allowed to go back in to see the show. By this time I wasn't allowed to find out any info on my family since our attackers were gone. Inside the Security area while this was all going on. My husband and 16 year old was told to keep quiet or they were going to County Jail. None of us were aloud to have any say on what happened to us or to tell them that they left our attackers go. So Security and the Camden County Police Dept. decided to have a child be physically assaulted when nothing was done about it. My husband text me while outside with the females security and told me they were kicked out. I am outraged that we were not allowed to state our side and were treated in such a matter as criminals. I tried to tell them on my way out that they all left a child attacker go and they did not want to hear it. My husband told me once I was outside with them that they were locals who some of the Camden Police Dept. and that made everything better. They got to talk when we were not. We were assaulted by them because they wanted our spots. I want to sue everyone in involve if I do not get answers for why a family has to be physically assaulted and be treated in the matter. I would really love to hear from you. I want better security done so this kind of incidence doesn't happen again. Please call me on my cell [protected]. My email is 1donna.2.[protected]@gmail.com. Having a child being physically assaulted is not want the public what like to hear was done. but as a parent I felt helpless to protect his safety. I wasn't allowed to do anything but to watch our attackers walk freely while we were kicked out and treated like we were the criminals. I'm going to connect the local TV stations so the public would know what happened. I want to sue the Camden County Police Dept for handling in the way they did. TO LET A CHILD BE ATTACKED is not expectable. I want to take action against everyone involved if I don't hear from you. Thank you. Donna Carter.
employees
While at the Rascal Flats concert in Dallas, Texas on August 25, two employees were verbally rude- cursing at my daughter and I. Both even went as far as to swat at my daughter's phone while she was recording a video of the concert. They were both very unprofessional and made our concert experience a little rough. We were very unhappy at the customer service experience by these women. No one attending a concert that they spent good money on should be harassed by employees.
We took note of the two women who were involved in this incident. Their employee ID numbers are 1910 and 4566.
We hope that in the future, no other concert goers should experience this.
breaking benjamin and five finger death punch concert
I bought tickets to the August 17th Friday night show at Montage Mountain. Weather was awful and certainly understand that, but the traffic control was terrible to the point where I couldn't even get into the venue. They closed gates to people and wouldn't let us in, 2 1/2 hours to get up the mountain cause us to be late anyway. Traffic was just as bad coming back down the mountain when we turned around and decided to leave.
how do I go about getting a refund? heard also that the venue was oversold which made matters worse, and even if we did get a chance to get in, lawn seat ticket holders were allowed to sit under the pavilion so reserved seats were not available.
the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a show and been to countless.
drake - august 20th
Hey [censored]s,
Remember when you postponed the Toronto date on August 20th "due to unforeseen circumstances" and then magically, two of the four guys that were supposed to be at the Toronto show appear in New York for the VMAs? What the [censored]!?!
Lock down a date for the postponed concert and show some kind of decency. What you did is flagrant misrepresentation. Don't even think of trying to pretend like it was a border-related issue - the show went on last night without one of the members of the Migos, no sweat! When we decide to bring a class action, I'm sure we'll flush out that there were no technical issues at the venue either. You guys are [censored]ed!
Book the date and save yourselves the hassle of 13, 000 fans crawling up your back. I'm happy to start it myself!
charged ada
My partner had an unexpected leg injury before the concert and we needed to obtain ada seating but instead of of proving it, the venue, XX pavilion in dallas charged us $40 to upgrade to receive ada seating. This is outrages! In all my years of having ada needs this is the first time a venue has taken advantage to make profit and discriminating instead of assisting. Your company should be ashamed of yourself for discriminating and exploiting those in wheelchairs.
unethical / unprofessional and violent behaviour of staff
I attended a Janet Jackson concert on Tuesday 7th August 2018 at the Mid-Florida, Ampitheatre, Tampa. I have been a lifelong Janet fan, and had travelled from the UK to see my idol. This was my third Janet concert in a week, having attended the New York and Miami concert, and last year I attended 13 concerts in 3 months in the USA. I am noting this as it demonstrates my depth of experience of attending Janet Jackson concerts. For all of these I paid VIP front row or hospitality package fees. So for this show I paid $1000 for my front row ticket.
During the show there were a number of people from the audience who were trying to work their way to the front, via the aisles, and were told on numerous occasions by security to go back to their seats. I had one or two people trying to get between me. The people on either side of me I didn't know, but they complained, and eventually people were moved. However, this instigated the following incidents, where they complained about me for accidentally stepping on one of their toes (I apologised profusely) and holding a British flag. This led me to me being asked to leave by one of the Live Nation security, and I asked for what reason, I said I had done nothing wrong and refused to leave.
He then aggressively grabbed me and another security member, with him, dragged me out of the venue by my legs and arms. As I was at the front this was in front of Janet, her team, and many fellow fans. They were so aggressive that I was left with bruises on my arms, and legs, and my phone was thrown to the ground, smashing the screen.
They threw me down where numerous police officers were, so I was continued to face further embarrassment, intimidating and threatening behaviour. The police stated if I didn't leave they would arrest me, and throw me in a cell. I was continually being told you don't want to be locked up. I spoke to the initial security guard, who was black, and he apologised profusely to me, saying that they shouldn't have dragged me out like that, and they were wrong. The other security guard on hearing this apology told him to go back inside.
I obviously had no choice, as I didn't want to be arrested, and so was led out of the venue and waiting outside for my sister and friends, as I was alone, and the venue is in the middle of nowhere, with no cabs, and it was very dark. As I was waiting I was approached by the police officers and the 2nd security guard, who swore at me and told me to go back to London and to leave the vicinity or they would arrest me. I had no idea where to go and I then got fronted and threatened by one, so I pushed him away. He then cuffed me and they searched my bag and asked if I had a gun. Again I faced threatening, violent, aggressive and racist behaviour, being told by the Live Nation security guy did I not know where I was, and this was America. On showing ID, and my sister arriving, and informing them we will leaving the states to go home the next day I was released.
However, as you can imagine, I am still in shock and have been completely traumatised by the experience. I am a 45 year old, professional BAME (Black, Asian, Minority, Ethnic) woman, working in the equality, diversity and inclusion field, who is small and slim in stature, and I was threatened and dragged out by two much larger security officials, with no real explanation. I was then abused verbally and physically by those that are supposed to protect us.
I was asked when I was coming back to the states, and that very evening, I booked a premium VIP ticket to the Global Citizen concert, which Janet is headlining, however, it's also a concert that talks about themes and issues that are close to my heart, and therefore is on my bucket list. I have been to the concert several times in the UK. However, after this traumatic and horrific experience, I am in doubt as to whether I can physically and mentally attend another concert hosted by Live Nation, in fear that this will happen again. I have read on the complaints board that this isn't the first incident, and that it has happened to people a lot younger, which is shocking. I will therefore be forwarding this complaint to the president and CEO of Live Nation, Michael Rapino.
My desirable resolution is that this incident and the others are taken seriously, and addressed by designing and delivering appropriate training for all of your security and venue staff on how to communicate with diverse audiences, and how to manage difficult situations effectively, without aggression and violence.
You also have a Live Nation Fan Guarantee, and having read this, I would recommend that you add, that as Live Nation you will guarantee that no fan will encounter harassment, bullying and discrimination from your staff, and that in turn your staff should not face this type of behaviour.
My additional resolution is that I receive a full refund for my front row VIP package and that you meet the costs of my shattered phone screen.
I hope this can be resolved swiftly, and efficiently to lessen the impact this is already having on me, and that other concert goers can watch their favourite artists without fear of being threatened and abused by your staff.
Many thanks
S Patel
sold tickets full price with obstructed view
On July 28th we went to jay z beyonce otr2 tour. I paid 722 for 2 seats. Thought these seats would be great. The sketch they had showed the stage was in full view. Well, when we got there, we couldn't see anything. These tickets shouldn't have even been sold . To anybody. I could have paid 100 bucks a piece for a nosebleed seat and had a better view. I've emailed a few people to try and get some compensation, no reply
