Lack of Empathy and Flexibility: My Experience With Gianfranco Restaurant and LocalFlavor During the Pandemic
As a regular customer of LocalFlavor for years, I have always relied on the service to purchase certificates for my favorite restaurants. One of my go-to spots is Gianfranco Restaurant, located in Bedford, NY. However, due to the ongoing pandemic, I have been very hesitant about dining indoors and have been trying my best to avoid it. When I reached out to the restaurant directly to see if they would accept my certificates for "take out only orders," I was disappointed to hear that they would not honor them in this way.
In these trying times, it is more important than ever for communities to come together and support one another. As many of us are facing financial struggles, it is crucial that businesses are understanding and empathetic towards their customers' needs and concerns. Unfortunately, this was not the case with Gianfranco Restaurant.
I was not asking for a refund, only for them to show some flexibility in how they could honor my certificates. But their response left me feeling disheartened and uncared for. As a result, I feel less inclined to recommend this restaurant to others and may consider taking my business elsewhere.
Furthermore, I also feel let down by LocalFlavor for not advocating for the needs and concerns of their customers. In these unprecedented times, it is crucial that businesses show understanding and compassion towards their customers, especially when it comes to health concerns. I urge LocalFlavor to re-evaluate their policies and ensure that they are doing everything in their power to support their loyal customer base.
In short, this experience has left a sour taste in my mouth. I hope that businesses and services like Gianfranco Restaurant and LocalFlavor can step up and show more empathy and understanding towards their customers. Let this be a lesson that in times of crisis, we must come together as a community and support one another in every way possible.
LocalFlavor Review: The Go-To Website for Consistent Discounts on Local Products and Services
As someone who has been using LocalFlavor for over a decade now, I can attest to the great deals that can be found on the website. I appreciate that most of the deals are offered by established, reputable businesses, ensuring that my purchases are safe and reliable. What sets LocalFlavor apart from other deal websites is the consistency of their discounts - I can always expect to save at least 50%, and sometimes even up to 65% when I make use of their discount codes.
I have seen some complaints about LocalFlavor in other reviews, but I personally find them to be unfounded and unreasonable. It's common knowledge that businesses can sometimes close down unexpectedly, and there are unfortunately some rogue owners who refuse to honor valid certificates. However, when I have encountered these issues over the years, LocalFlavor has always promptly refunded my money with no questions asked. While it's true that they can be difficult to reach by phone, I have always had success with emailing them and receiving prompt responses.
To ensure that you have a smooth experience using LocalFlavor, it's best to use some common sense and take a few simple steps. Before dining at a restaurant, be sure to show the merchant your certificate to ensure that they are aware of it and know how to redeem it. If you do encounter any issues with a certificate, LocalFlavor offers full refunds for any reason within 14 days of purchase, making it a risk-free purchase. If you need to reach their customer service team, they are available Monday-Friday from 9AM-5PM EST at the phone number or email address provided on their website.
Overall, I highly recommend LocalFlavor to anyone looking for great deals on local products and services. With their consistent discounts and reliable customer service, it's a website that I will continue to use for years to come.
Think Twice Before Partnering with LocalFlavor for Restaurant Discounts
If you're a restaurant owner who's considering promoting your business with an online coupon service, you may want to think twice before partnering with LocalFlavor. Unfortunately, this popular discount platform has developed a reputation for providing minimal benefits to participating businesses. While LocalFlavor promises to sell your food at an impressive 50% discount, the reality is that restaurant owners don't see a dime from these sales. In fact, LocalFlavor is making a healthy profit at the expense of restaurant owners who are expected to honor the discount in return for having their picture featured on the LocalFlavor website.
Worse still, many of the people who are attracted to LocalFlavor deals are less than ideal customers. They're often penny-pinchers who are more interested in getting free or heavily discounted meals than in tipping their servers or purchasing additional items. These cheap-[censored] are known to buy up all the coupons that LocalFlavor has to offer so that they can come back to your restaurant week after week, making it feel like you're feeding them for free.
If you think that localizing your advertising efforts with LocalFlavor is the answer to your restaurant's problems, you're in for a rude awakening. Even when these bargain hunters come in to take advantage of your 50% off coupons, they'll still find something to complain about. Whether it's the cost of additional toppings or the price of add-ons like avocado on burgers or extra ranch dressing, you're guaranteed to hear their angry rants and see their disappointed faces.
And if you think it's easy to end your contract with LocalFlavor when you've had enough, think again. Many restaurant owners who've tried to extricate their businesses from this platform have found themselves stymied by negative reviews generated by angry customers who feel entitled to free meals for life. In essence, partnering with LocalFlavor is like asking for bad reviews and negative feedback from the worst customers possible.
So if you're a restaurant owner who truly wants to attract quality customers who appreciate your food and your service, think carefully before you sign up with LocalFlavor. This deal might sound enticing, but in reality, it's the worst possible deal you can do. Think twice before signing up – your business might depend on it.
LocalFlavor Fails to Take Responsibility for Redeemed Voucher
out.
LocalFlavor, an online service that offers discount coupons and vouchers to its customers, has come under fire for failing to take responsibility for its services. Recently, a customer purchased a $30 voucher from LocalFlavor for use at Moe's Southwest Grill. However, when the customer provided the voucher number to the merchant during checkout, it was not applied to the final bill. As a result, the customer found out that the voucher had been already redeemed by the merchant, despite the fact that it was never used.
Upon contacting LocalFlavor to report the issue, the customer was surprised to hear that the company was refusing to take any responsibility for the matter. According to LocalFlavor's representative, the problem had to be resolved between the customer and the merchant. However, neither the merchant nor the credit card company was willing to take responsibility for the issue, leaving the customer out of pocket and without any solution.
It is clear that LocalFlavor is lacking in accountability when it comes to its services. In this case, the company did not provide the customer with any concrete solution or compensation for the lost voucher. It seems that LocalFlavor does not stand behind its certificates, and the burden of any issues or discrepancies falls completely on the customer. This is a concerning practice for any business, and it's clear that the company needs to make changes to its policies to ensure that customers are not left out of pocket.
In summary, a customer of LocalFlavor purchased a $30 voucher for use at Moe's Southwest Grill, but the voucher was already redeemed by the merchant without providing any discount to the customer. Despite contacting the company, LocalFlavor refused to take responsibility for the issue and offered no compensation or resolution. It is clear that LocalFlavor needs to improve its policies related to accountability and customer satisfaction to avoid such issues in the future.
Avoid Local Flavor: Terrible Customer Service and Shoddy Business Practices
If you're looking to save money using a deal site, you're better off looking elsewhere than Local Flavor. In fact, if you're looking for an easy, stress-free shopping experience, then we recommend you skip Local Flavor altogether!
We've had a terrible, terrible experience with them recently. Not only did they fail to honor our purchase, but their customer service was terrible and unhelpful when we tried to get our money back. We purchased three Local Flavor certificates for our favorite pizza restaurant in town. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed during the time that one of the certificates was set to expire. We reached out to Local Flavor by phone and email, but never heard back. Frustrated, we sent them an email explaining the situation and asking for a refund on the one certificate that was expiring during the closure.
Instead of being helpful or even reading our email, the customer service representative cancelled all of our certificates! When we reached out to her and explained that we only wanted a refund on one certificate, she became argumentative and rude to us! We were shocked by the terrible response from Jackie K. and the rest of the Local Flavor team.
To add insult to injury, when we tried to re-purchase our certificates, we learned that the restaurant had removed their offerings from Local Flavor due to chronic issues that kept occurring with the platform. We're out of luck now, and stuck with unusable certificates.
In conclusion, we strongly recommend that you avoid Local Flavor at all costs. The company's poor customer service and shoddy business practices have left us feeling ripped off and cheated. If you're looking for a reputable deal site, there are plenty of better options out there to choose from.
Disappointing Customer Service and Refund Policies at LocalFlavor - A Cautionary Review
I recently had a disappointing experience with LocalFlavor, a discount deals website that offers certificates for local businesses. I had purchased several certificates to use at a restaurant, but unfortunately, the restaurant had gone out of business. When I tried to contact LocalFlavor to inquire about a refund, I found that the only way to do so was through an online form. I never received a response.
However, I recently used a different certificate and received a survey email from LocalFlavor that included a phone number. When I called, I was finally able to speak with a representative about the issue. While they did offer me a credit, rather than a refund, I found that the credit amount was not for the full amount that I had spent on the certificates. They only gave me a credit of $56 when it should have been $75.
Unfortunately, the customer service experience was quite frustrating. When I spoke to the manager about the issue, she seemed irritated and unhelpful. To make matters worse, she sent me a rude email later, which was completely unnecessary and unprofessional.
Overall, I was disappointed with my experience with LocalFlavor. Their customer service left a lot to be desired, and I will not be purchasing any more certificates from them in the future. I would caution others to think twice before doing business with this company, as it seems their policies may be getting worse instead of better.
LocalFlavor Sold Invalid Gift Cards and Provided Poor Customer Service
I had a less than satisfactory experience with LocalFlavor and their website localflavor.com. Last year, I purchased two $15 gift cards for a total of $30 worth of food. However, when I went to redeem them a month and a half later, I was informed that they were not accepted. Naturally, this caused me both embarrassment and anger when I was forced to pay full price without the assistance of the gift cards that I had paid hard-earned money for.
While the company did eventually refund my money, I firmly believe that they should have done more to rectify the situation. It is understandable for errors to occur, but it is important for companies to own up to them and make things right for their customers. In this instance, I feel that the company was lacking in customer service skills by not providing me with an additional gift card or some other form of compensation for the trouble and embarrassment that I experienced.
I contacted the regional manager of Newks, the restaurant where the gift cards were intended to be used, and was informed that the company had actually canceled their contract with LocalFlavor in July of that year. However, LocalFlavor continued to sell these gift cards even after their termination was in full effect. I suspect that the company may have been trying to hold onto my money, as well as others who purchased these gift cards, in hopes that we would forget to use them and they would expire. This is an underhanded tactic that leaves a bad taste in my mouth and I am not willing to do business with a company that operates in such a manner.
Despite my disappointment, I have not received any communication from LocalFlavor to address my concerns. All they did was refund my money and provide no further assistance or apology. As a result of this experience, I will not be using LocalFlavor unless they can demonstrate to me that they are no longer using such unethical practices. No one should have to go through what I did and I want to ensure that others are aware of the potential pitfalls of using this service.
Unsatisfactory experience with LocalFlavor: Voucher rejected by restaurant, no resolution provided
I recently had an unpleasant experience with LocalFlavor, an online platform that offers great discounts and deals on various products and services. I had purchased a restaurant voucher for Cafe Creole Caribbean Spice in Port Charlotte, FL which was supposed to provide me $30 in value for just $15. However, upon trying to redeem the voucher at the restaurant, I was refused.
Frustrated and disappointed, I reached out to LocalFlavor's customer service team via their voicemail system three times over a period of two weeks. Unfortunately, it took them ten long days to get back to me via email. I requested a call from their customer service team to discuss my issue, however, my request was denied.
During the multiple voicemails I left, I clearly stated the problem I was facing with the restaurant voucher they had sold me. Jackie K, the LocalFlavor representative who responded via email, informed me that some restaurants were facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 pandemic and may not be able to honor the voucher.
In the emails exchanged with Jackie K, I was informed that the restaurant I had chosen to use my voucher at could do whatever they wanted and that LocalFlavor had no responsibility in the matter. Despite my request for a credit, exchange or refund, I was given no resolution. I was told that my claim was made after the 14-day warranty limit after purchase (it had been 18 days). Despite my repeated requests for a manager or supervisor to call me, I never received a call.
To my dismay, I eventually received a generic email from Michelle F, Sr. Consumer Loyalty Coordinator, who suggested that I either use the voucher or gift it to someone. Is this Loyalty Coordinator in touch with reality? How can I use or gift a voucher that the restaurant has rejected?
Ultimately, LocalFlavor sold me a worthless, unusable certificate and refused to take responsibility for their actions. They will not refund my $15 or exchange my voucher for another one. In fact, it appears that they are still knowingly selling restaurant vouchers to Cafe Creole Caribbean Spice.
In summary, my experience with LocalFlavor was disappointing and frustrating. I would not recommend their services to anyone and urge potential customers to be wary of their practices.
Review of LocalFlavor: Poor Customer Service and Lack of Empathy for COVID-19 Consequences
As a frequent traveler, I've used LocalFlavor certificates many times and have mostly been satisfied with my purchases. However, due to the COVID-19 shutdown, I was unable to use three certificates that I had recently bought, which were due to expire at the end of this year. When I reached out to customer service to explain my situation, they offered me credit for the certificates.
Although this was a small gesture, I appreciated their customer service. However, while checking my account, I noticed that they hadn't credited one of the certificates. When I contacted them, I was told that they could only provide one courtesy credit per account. I understand that they have policies in place, but I felt that their inflexibility was unfair, as this pandemic has affected everyone in some way.
I reiterated that a credit wouldn't cost them any money, but not receiving them was causing me to lose out. I shared my concerns about the safety of using the certificates on a small boat during the pandemic, as I wasn't willing to risk my family's health. Their response left me feeling disappointed. They quoted the Federal Gift Card Act of 2009, which allows gift certificates to be valid for up to five years after purchase, even if they've expired. While this is reassuring, it doesn't address my concerns about the current crisis.
I also found that many other customers have had similar issues with expiration dates, which has left them unhappy with LocalFlavor. The suggestion to give my unused certificates as a gift seemed insensitive given the current situation.
In conclusion, I think that LocalFlavor should demonstrate more empathy and flexibility during this challenging time. I didn't ask for a refund, but instead a credit that could be used safely once the situation has improved. Unfortunately, my experience with their poor customer service means that I won't be purchasing certificates from them anymore.
LocalFlavor Review: Beware of Misleading Site Credit Policy on Refunds
LocalFlavor is a site that operates similarly to Groupon, where customers can purchase discounted deals which give them a certificate to use at participating merchants. While these deals offer great value initially, there is a risk that the merchant may go out of business before the certificate is redeemed. However, LocalFlavor has reassured customers that the money invested in the certificate is refundable in such a case.
Recently, I purchased a LocalFlavor deal at a reduced cost and unfortunately, the restaurant went out of business. I contacted LocalFlavor for a refund and was presented with two options: a credit-card refund or a site credit. Opting for the site credit, I was told that it would be instant and gave me the chance to take advantage of another ongoing sale. What I was not informed of was that the so-called “site credit” was not a credit at all, but rather a coupon that was not combinable with any other offer. Essentially, it was equal to the value of the coupons that LocalFlavor offers its subscribers regularly.
I feel that LocalFlavor misled me into accepting the “site credit” by insisting that it was worth redeeming, and now they refuse to refund my money or provide me with a real credit. As a result, I feel ripped off and want to warn others not to make the same mistake. It’s frustrating to feel like I was made to choose between two undesirable options without being given all the facts, and I hope others can avoid this issue by taking their business elsewhere.

Beware of LocalFlavor's Dishonest Practices During Covid: A Customer's Experience
So, I wanted to share my experience using LocalFlavor with y'all. You see, I bought two of their certificates to a local restaurant and boy, was I excited to try it out! But with Covid happening, the expiration date was getting closer and I got a little nervous that I might not be able to use them in time. But the restaurant told me not to worry, that they were extending the expiration date, and that all I had to do was go online and print out new certificates with the updated date for December 2020.
I did just that, but when I went to use one of the certificates at the restaurant, I only received HALF the value of the certificate instead of the full value per the updated date. I couldn't believe it! I tried calling the LocalFlavor customer support line, but all I got was a voicemail saying to email support instead.
Now, don't get me wrong, I understand that Covid can make things difficult for businesses, but it felt like LocalFlavor was using it as an excuse to rip people off. So, I sent an email to their support team explaining the issue in detail, but all I received was a long email basically telling me that I was out of luck and to go fly a kite.
I mean, come on, LocalFlavor! I've spent thousands with you guys over the years, and this is how you treat a loyal customer? It's just not right. So, I wanted to warn others out there who might be thinking of using them: DON'T! Save yourself the headache and find somewhere else to get your deals.
LocalFlavor Disappoints: Unhelpful Customer Service and Expired Voucher Woes
I tried using LocalFlavor for the first time back in March of 2020. I was excited to snag a voucher for a local restaurant in my area. Unfortunately, the pandemic hit and the restaurant had to temporarily close. I was worried that the voucher would expire before I could even get a chance to use it.
I decided to give LocalFlavor a call to see if there was anything they could do to help me out. I asked if they could give me credit for the amount I spent on the voucher since no one knew when the restaurant would reopen.
Months went by before the restaurant finally reopened in 2021. Unfortunately, my voucher had already expired by then. When I showed up to the restaurant and tried to use the voucher, they refused to honor it at the paid value, let alone the promotional value.
I called LocalFlavor again, hoping they could assist me in some way. To my disappointment, they informed me that they couldn't do anything to help me. They simply told me that the vendor should take the voucher. I was outraged that they weren't willing to help me get the service that I paid for.
It's frustrating that someone has my money and I didn't get the service I was expecting. Overall, I wouldn't recommend using LocalFlavor. They were unhelpful and didn't try to assist me in any way. It's disappointing to be left with a voucher that I can't use and a company that doesn't care about their customers.
Disappointing Experience with LocalFlavor: No Refund or Extension During Covid19 Shutdown
Yo, I wanted to share my experience with LocalFlavor. So, I had a dope plan to attend a Dinner Theatre show and I copped 2 certificates from their site for $182. Hyped up and ready to go, I got my date set for March 13, 2019, but then everything changed when Covid19 attacked.
The show got rescheduled and the theatre shut down indefinitely. So, I hit up LocalFlavor's email address up in the inbox to see if my expiration date can get extended since the theatre won't be open. And you'll never guess what they said, they hit me back with a big ol' NO.
I wasn't with it, so I hit them with another email straight up asking if I can get a refund. And guess what they said? You already know - NO.
The worst part is that the dinner theatre folks said they ain't even affiliated with LocalFlavor. They're just a third-party trying to make some money. So, now I'm sitting here with $182 less in my bank account and no show to see.
Honestly, I'm just feeling some type of way about LocalFlavor. Like, how can they just keep my money like that and not give me what I paid for? It's wack, man. So, be wary with this site, y'all.

LocalFlavor Scam Review: False Advertising, Ignored Refunds, and Unfulfilled Certificates
So I heard about this website called LocalFlavor, apparently they're all about coupons and deals for local businesses. They advertise like crazy with those Clipper magazines that they send to your mailbox, or so I've heard. But let me tell you, this site is a big ol' fraud. I mean, I've had not one, not two, but THREE times where I bought a certificate for a business and they ended up going under before I could use it. And when I tried to report it and get a refund, they just straight up ignored me. They say it'll only take a few days to process, but that's a lie. I've been waiting for months and still haven't gotten my money back for that first instance. I mean, I should have learned my lesson after that, right? But I didn't, and now here we are. Don't let them fool you like they fooled me. I'm hoping to get the Illinois Attorney General involved, but who knows if that'll do any good.
Localflavor.com's lack of empathy and customer service - Beware!
So, I had bought a gift card for a restaurant on localflavor.com for my loved one as a Christmas present. Unfortunately, the restaurant was attacked by terrorists on Christmas Day, which was extremely devastating. However, I had hope that they would recover from the incident and reopen someday. After waiting for an appropriate amount of time, I decided to request a refund before the expiration date. But to my dismay, the localflavor.com refused to make any exceptions, and they were not willing to refund my money, even though the restaurant was bombed! I was disgusted by their actions and their words, as one of the managers said: "the bombing has nothing to do with this!"
It is highly disappointing that localflavor.com's practices are so pathetic and they care only about the money they receive, rather than doing the right thing and providing valuable customer service. I sent many emails requesting my refund, but all of them went unanswered, making it even more frustrating. It is unacceptable and unethical to allow a customer to suffer when they are clearly in a difficult situation.
I strongly advise everyone to stay away from localflavor.com and search for other options. Their lack of empathy and customer service is disgraceful, especially in times like these where customers needed more care and assistance. To conclude, if you are looking for a reliable and trustworthy website to purchase gift cards, I suggest finding another option other than localflavor.com, as they only care about making money.
LocalFlavor.com Policies and Customer Service Need Improvement
So, I was pretty excited when I found LocalFlavor.com. I thought it would be a great way to save some money while trying out new restaurants in my area. I purchased a certificate for a restaurant that sounded amazing, but unfortunately, when I went to redeem it, I found out that the restaurant had closed down.
I was pretty disappointed, but then I remembered that LocalFlavor had a policy that allowed for refunds if a restaurant closed down. When I contacted their customer service, they told me that the restaurant was actually re-opening in a completely different location, and that I couldn't get a refund because of their policy.
Now, that would have been fine if the new location was anywhere near me, but it turns out that it's not even close. On top of that, the restaurant won't be opening until sometime next year, so who knows if they will still be honoring this certificate by the time they open?
I understand that LocalFlavor has policies in place to protect themselves, but I feel like this situation should have been treated like a closure and my purchase should have been refunded. When I voiced my concerns to customer service, I was met with a dismissive attitude and no help whatsoever.
To make matters worse, when I checked out reviews of LocalFlavor, I found out that I'm not the only one who has had this issue. It seems like lots of people have had trouble with their customer service and policies.
Honestly, I'm just really disappointed in how LocalFlavor has handled this situation. I've unsubscribed from their emails and don't plan on purchasing anything from them again. It's just not worth the hassle. I'm even considering filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
Overall, I think that LocalFlavor has some potential, but they need to work on their policies and customer service. If they can't do that, then I don't see how they can stay in business for much longer.
Disappointing experience with LocalFlavor.com and Top Hat Cue Hall in Maryland
I recently gave LocalFlavor.com a try, and unfortunately, I found myself dealing with some pretty hefty frustration. I had purchased $20 worth of pool and ping pong play at the Top Hat Cue Hall in Parkville, MD for just $10 through the site. The only downside was that I wasn't able to use it before the date of expiration had passed, but I was optimistic that I could still get some use out of it.
However, when I showed up at the Top Hat Cue Hall with my voucher, I was met with a less-than-pleasant employee who refused to honor it. Despite my insistence that I had been guaranteed a discount on my play, and that the voucher was still valid under the Federal Gift Card Act of 2009, this worker wouldn't concede anything. Needless to say, I was pretty angry with the situation.
So, I contacted Local Flavor customer support to see if they could help me out. Unfortunately, their response left me feeling a little confused. They sent me a pretty hefty 33-page PDF document explaining the Federal Gift Card Act in detail, but I couldn't find where it specified that my voucher should still be worth the original price it had been purchased for, even if it had expired. Despite my attempts to get clarification, Local Flavor wasn't willing to tell me any more.
Overall, I'm left feeling pretty disappointed in my experience with LocalFlavor.com. While I appreciated the original discount I had received on my voucher, it ultimately didn't end up being worth the trouble when I wasn't able to use it in time. It's a shame that their customer service proved to be so unhelpful, too.
A Loyal User's Mixed Feelings: My LocalFlavor Review and Experience
I've been a regular user of LocalFlavor for some time now and I have mixed feelings about it. At first, everything was great! The deals were amazing and the customer support was top notch. My friends and family were even using it because of how satisfied I was with my experiences.
However, as time went on, I started noticing some issues. The biggest problem I've experienced is buying certificates for restaurants that have already closed down. It's definitely frustrating to try and redeem a deal at a restaurant only to find out that it no longer exists. But I understand that LocalFlavor can't always keep track of every business and its current status.
What's not okay is the fact that the customer support has also gone downhill. It used to be that if I had any issues, I could simply call or email them and they would be helpful and responsive. But now, I can't seem to get a hold of anyone! I've tried calling their customer support line and I never get a live person on the other end. I've even tried leaving messages but they haven't gotten back to me.
To make matters worse, emailing them is also a complete waste of time. I've sent several emails regarding my issues and they just go unanswered. It's extremely frustrating because I'm a loyal customer and I expect better service.
Overall, while LocalFlavor still has some great deals, the lack of customer support makes it difficult to use. I understand that businesses have their ups and downs, but when it comes to customer service, it's important to maintain a certain level of professionalism. If LocalFlavor can improve their customer support, then I'll be happy to continue using their services. Until then, I'll be looking elsewhere for deals and discounts.
LocalFlavor Review: Poor Service and Issues with Purchasing Restaurant Certificates
Purchasing a certificate for a restaurant through LocalFlavor might not be a good idea, at least according to this review. The reviewer encountered issues with both certificates they purchased through the website, which led them to conclude that the service provided by LocalFlavor is poor.
The first certificate the reviewer purchased was for a restaurant called Thai Chili in Atlanta. However, when they tried to redeem the certificate, they were told that the restaurant owner would not accept it as he was a new owner. The reviewer reached out to LocalFlavor customer service to request a refund and, to their credit, they did receive a credit in response.
However, the second certificate they purchased for a restaurant called NOVA turned out to be an even bigger headache. When the reviewer attempted to use the certificate, they discovered that it had already been marked as redeemed, even though they had never been to the restaurant before. They tried to contact LocalFlavor through various means, but it was only after persevering that they were able to speak to a representative.
Unfortunately, the response from LocalFlavor was not what the reviewer was hoping for. They were told that the vendor for NOVA had been known to redeem certificates shortly after they were purchased, and despite the fact that LocalFlavor had evidence of this, they were unwilling to refund the money. Instead, the reviewer was advised to go back to the vendor and try to get them to reverse the redemption. It's no wonder that the reviewer found this response unbelievable!
In conclusion, if this review is anything to go by, LocalFlavor might not be the best option for purchasing restaurant certificates. From problems redeeming the certificates to unhelpful customer service, it seems that there are a lot of issues with the service provided by this website.
