LRS debited my account without any type of communication or authorization LRS contacted me in December regarding a medical bill in the amount of 433.13. Agreed to pay half at that time, Dec 22, and set up for the other half to be debited January 1, which it was. Then on Feb 5, my account was debited ANOTHER $233.07 for no reason considering the total amount owed was paid at the beginning of January, and with zero communication or authorization.

Hello, Louisiana Recovery Services failed to validate an alleged debt I owed a medical company within the required time frame
Hello, Louisiana Recovery Services failed to validate an alleged debt I owed a medical company within the required time frame. Refuse to remove. I provided proof of payment to original creditor and called this company 7 times to get the information updated in their system and deleted off of my credit report. Every time I called, each employee had a different excuse as to why they could not update it. I emailed them proof of payment from my credit card, a payment receipt from original creditor, AND also obtained a statement FROM the original creditor stating that the balance was 0 and showing that I paid my balance. Phillip, a representative from this company, used illegal and bad business practices to try and say my account was not paid. They refused to accept the proof of the certified letters I have sent them and also refuse to acknowledge payment had been made. They also made ZERO effort on their part to obtain proof of payment. The original creditor stated they reached out to them to let them know I had paid my balance. They are trying to obtain my financial information to force me to pay my balance TWICE and refuse to accept the proof of payments submitted. They also refuse to validate they own the debt.

Violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
Violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). I am in the process of closing and my credit was pulled to show a $1261 collections account with LRS account number BE3920 on my report. The collection is reported as opened 3 but it was actually opened 10 as reported by the debt collector. I initiated contact as this is the first time I have ever received notice of the debt. I spoke with "Mark Franklin" on 6/6 mid morning. I asked for more information and Mark could only provide the name of the original collector and that the services were for an ambulance and/or behavioral services and reported he was unsure of his responses. He continued to replied he did not have any more information because the debt was too old. I got the same response when I asked for validation of the debt. I do not recall every using theses services. I have changed addresses but i always forward my mail. I never consented or acknowledged the debt is mine but he told me that I assumed responsibility and confirmed it was mine when I provided my address. I wanted to the debt off my credit because it is affecting my ability to to close on my loan. Mark was quick to tell me he would delete the collections if I paid in full. So then I asked for a latter for intent to delete to be provided to me first. He became extremely pushy after that and told me that's not how it works. He said if I paid right then he would have the debt removed from my account and within 4 or so days for an additional fee. He also claimed he would email me a letter of deletion on Monday 6/8 included in the fee. I continued to try to get more information as I truly do not recall this charge and I wanted to see if any details were supporting the debt was mine, and he continued to interrupt me and push me to pay. Unfortunately, I paid the full amount and the fee in need to clear my credit quickly. I have not yet received the the letter that my account is paid in full and LRS will remove my account from all three credit reporting agencies within 4 days. I called on Monday 6.8 to follow up and the person told me to call back later. This company has violated the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA) for being deceptive and reopening the old debt in 3 instead or reporting the original date of 10, for collecting additional fees, not providing the opportunity to validate the debt, for using false statements to collect the debt, etc. It is very coincidental to be closing on loan and all of a sudden have an unknown collections on my account with out supporting documentation.
