I went to their presentation
I went to their presentation. They promised us lots of gifts for coming, but we didn't get anything. I called LUX Vacations and they told me it's the fault of a different company. Even though they know that company doesn't do what they're supposed to, they still work with them. They use that company as an excuse for not keeping their promises. I'm happy I didn't fall for their tricks.
I had a similar issue with Lux Vacation Resorts when I attended a seminar
I had a similar issue with Lux Vacation Resorts when I attended a seminar. They made several promises, including the option for free airfare for two within the U.S. However, it was quite a hassle to obtain the necessary paperwork from a third party. To our disappointment, we discovered that the flights were not actually free and had to be arranged through their travel system. Furthermore, we were limited to staying only at their properties. My advice would be to avoid dealing with this company altogether. It's worth paying a bit more to book with a reputable company like *** and truly enjoy your vacation.
I have had great service with Lux and found that I stay in much more Luxurious accommodations for much less than before. The condos are great, love the fact that we have a living room and full kitchen. Our son is a diabetic, and having snacks that he can eat when his blood sugar is low is a huge plus. We also found that we do travel more than ever now.
I saw some reviews on ComplaintsBoard.com but still decided to join Lux Vacation Resorts
I saw some reviews on ComplaintsBoard.com but still decided to join Lux Vacation Resorts. BIG MISTAKE! They initially quoted me $11,000, but then magically dropped it to $6,000 "just for us." Their hotel prices are only slightly cheaper than what you can find on regular hotel websites, maybe $5 less. They also promised us great deals on international airfare, but again, it was only about $5 cheaper. The worst part is that I couldn't even check out their prices until 6 days after I signed up. And to make matters worse, according to the contract, I can't cancel after the third day of signing. This is a total scam, so please don't fall for it!
I wouldn't recommend it at all!
I wouldn't recommend it at all! I honestly believe this is some kind of scam! They promised me a personal concierge, but it's really just whoever happens to read your email or answer the phone. The savings per trip are only around $20, so it would take forever to actually see any benefit from the $4,000 we gave them, not to mention the $500 we have to pay every year for renewal. This is definitely the worst purchase I've made since I was in my 20s! And to make matters worse, so many of the trips are nonrefundable. Ugh, it's so frustrating!
We went to a sales pitch for 90 minutes and thought the concept was a great idea as we do travel at least 4 times a year
We went to a sales pitch for 90 minutes and thought the concept was a great idea as we do travel at least 4 times a year. We received a discounted membership ($4000 less than original). After we signed all the paperwork with 5 days to cancel, we received a welcome call the next day. HOWEVER, we tried calling the number we were provided and got voicemail or were told they were closed. This happened 5 times. We had hoped to reserve a cruise. After researching ComplaintsBoard.com, we found SOOO many complaints. Since this company won't answer calls and won't return voicemails, I called my bank to dispute the transaction. By the way, ALL their numbers go to the same 844 number and their websites point to 4 different sites.
We got invited to hear a 90-minute sales talk about their vacation plan
We got invited to hear a 90-minute sales talk about their vacation plan. They said if we went, we'd get 2 nights at a hotel and a round trip flight from any big airport in the US. They gave us a *** Code to use, but it didn't work. They also gave us an email address that didn't help either. The email said, "The certificates you got are not from our company *** by mistake. You need to contact your sponsor LUX Vacations for help. Sincerely, ***". They also started the travel program at $12,000. In the end, they offered us $4000 to take the deal, but we still said no.
On Feb 10, 2022 we bought a package from this company
On Feb 10, 2022 we bought a package from this company. They said we could get handicap accommodations and promised lower prices for almost everywhere we'd go, except for airfare and really cheap hotels. We called many times to get help booking a cruise and hotel rooms. We managed to make one reservation online, but later found out the hotel was closed. I tried to get a refund, but never got one. Finally, we spoke to one person on the phone who said she'd get back to us, but she never did. I left her several messages, but she never responded. I called and texted too. I asked for a refund, but she said they don't give refunds. Besides her, we couldn't get any help. We wasted $4495. We didn't renew because they didn't do anything for us with the first $4495, so we didn't think they'd ever help. We want a full refund of $4495 or a trip of equal value.
My son spent 2 hours tryin to book 5nights in a ** hotel
My son spent 2 hours tryin to book 5nights in a *** hotel. He thought all went thru for the first hotel he booked on line, then he got a message sayin the room was not available, yet the charge went thru on his cc. So he tried bookin at a second hotel, and the exact same thing happened. So he called - as did I to talk to a manager -. It took me Over 5 minutes of talkin to someone in a very noisy call center to get to a manager. *** called my son twice, hangin up on him both times. I called *** again, and finally an agent called my son to book for him. ( ***, the same agent he spoke to 90 minute earlier who couldnt find our account and hung up on him). Well, *** found somethin for him, read him the lengthy agreement and then oops, that room isnt available! She then offered him another room priced 30% higher. When he requested same price point as the first 3 rooms, she offered a two star hotel in a bad neighborhood. Im not sure ANY of the advertised options exist! We are lookin forward to cancellin this membership as soon as possible.
We signed up for a vacation travel club on September 23, 2022, based on the promised of the presentation that we will save money in the hotel 30
We signed up for a vacation travel club on September 23, 2022, based on the promised of the presentation that we will save money in the hotel 30 percent and and rental cars. so we booked hotel two nights stay in *** in ***, only to find out that the price is the same as in Expedia or other internet providers. We tried to cancel the transactions based on the false claim of their sales agent in Hilton ***. We paid $ *** for the package. Also the rental cars has the same price with internet provider like Expedial, ikewise the Sales Person stated that the cruises will be 30 percent less that you will find in the internet. To find out that their price is the same. I want my money back based on the false claims presented during their 90 minutes presentation in Hilton ***. We cancelled our payments through our credit cards, but according to the credit card company, *** denied the claim because we did not cancel on the 5th day after we are in contract. I am asking for a refund because they did not deliver what has promised. This is scam.
After spendin 3 hours at the presentation, we were so close to joinin
After spendin 3 hours at the presentation, we were so close to joinin. They dropped the price dramatically for "us" (ha ha), and we were ready to pull the trigger. After thinkin about it further, we decided not to join. We were given our voucher and went on our way. Fulfillin the voucher has been an absolute joke. We sent in our $75, did all the paperwork, and got a letter back sayin we were "in breach" of the contract, so we would have to resubmit. Who would have thought, our airport, the city they did the presentation in, is NOT considered a major city. So we would have to drive a few hours to find a "major city" to fly from if we wanted to redeem the voucher. I contacted the Vacation Advisor people. Left a message for them to call me back. Didn't hear form them, which was fine, because I called at the end of the day. I called again this mornin. WOW! Have NEVER been treated so poorly by a "customer service" person. The woman said in a snarly, awful voice, "We called you back and talked to you!" When I said I don't have a missed call or a message, her response was - well we called you! I asked a simple question about the "breach" and was met with a barrage of rude comments. If this is how the reps handle simple fulfillment questions, I am glad we didn't sign up for the vacation packages! About twenty minutes later, I got a return call from Vacation Advisor, which I can only assume was them actually "returnin my call from the previous day". *** told that woman that I had already called back in and got the rudest treatment. She said - well have a nice day" I then went on line to find the number of Lux and could only come up with one number. Called it and was told (much as the first lady at that voucher fulfillment center), that the phone number I called was only for members and they too were just a fulfillment center. Since I can't find a way to contact *** directly, I hope they look in to how their customer reps are representin them!

This is a great deal if you want to travel
This is a great deal if you want to travel. My wife and I are now retired and we use Lux at least every month to take trips we can drive to. We don'y like to fly and feel that condo vacations are the future. We are both on strict diets and having the kitchen is truly a Godsend. Great service and would not hesitate to recommend.

I attended a sales seminar by Lux Vacations in May and was misled about a free flight offer.
I attended a sales seminar at a hotel on May 19 put on by Lux Vacations and was offered a certificate for free round trip airfare. I sent money to the company and received info on accessing their website. There, I learned there was no free airfare. I had paid for access to their 'low' prices, which were higher than available elsewhere. I was misled by Lux Vacations and seek a $98 refund. Attempts to get the fee back from the third party have been unresponsive.

We got a letter askin us to join a 90 minute presentation, and in return, get a $100 dinner voucher, and two free round trip airline vouchers, and two nights hotel at a Marriott, Hilton, or Hyatt. None of that is true. The $100 dinner voucher ain't really a voucher. It ain't a $100 dinin card, it's just a membership to Dining Advantage.com for $100 in coupons for different fast food joints. You can't use it all at once, just worth coupons for different restaurants. Like, $6 off if you order TWO sandwiches. The two airline tickets and 2 nights stay ain't given yet either. You gotta send in a *** redemption form within 30 days to get 'em. We'll see if they really come, and how they gonna say we can use 'em. I didn't get anythin they promised, just a bunch of conditions. And when I didn't sign up for their membership, they even told me not to send in the forms to get the airline *** a scam!
I attended DreamStar Resort Vacations Club's event on Oct 19 in Portland, OR
I attended a presentation by DreamStar Resort Vacations Club on Oct 19 in Portland, OR. I wrote a check for Lux Vacation Resorts later that day for $7,494.00 for the initial membership fee after being reassured that I had a 3 business day rescission period by law. In the first 24 hours, I changed my mind about joining this organization, read the contract, followed instructions in the contract to cancel membership, and emailed the provided address for contract cancellation. I was worried because I didn't receive confirmation of my cancellation, so I sent several more emails and told all the company reps who called me that I had canceled my membership. They told me not to worry because the company is reputable as long as I emailed my cancellation on time. Today, 17 days later, Lux Vacation Resorts cashed my check! I called the vacation concierge I had spoken to before. He said he couldn't help me, but I asked him to call me back with a number to speak to someone who could help me resolve this issue. He hasn't called me back.
On 12/3/2022 we got invited to a seminar to sign up for a lifetime membership with DreamStar Resorts
On 12/3/2022 we got invited to a seminar to sign up for a lifetime membership with DreamStar Resorts. We signed a contract with DreamStar Resorts for $7294 and paid with a credit card. Our DreamStar membership ID is ***. They told us we'd get a call within 48 hours welcoming us to DreamStar Resorts and that the membership would be processed within 10 days. We never got a call, so on the tenth day, we emailed DreamStar Resorts. ***, a DreamStar support specialist replied, "Your account ain't approved yet by the distributor, Lux Vacations, to activate. Once we get the request, it can take up to 10 business days to activate, and you'll then get an email with log in info. If you wanna check your status, you can contact Lux Vacations directly at *** or ***-." When you call the 844 number, the caller ID says the company's called Averotek. No one answers, but an automated message says to leave a message and someone will get back to you within 1 business day. The 724 number is the personal cell phone of a lady who works for Averotek. She didn't wanna tell me her last name at first, but then she said it was ***. She told me to call the 844 number. Like DreamStar said, they ain't in the business of selling to the general public. They rely on shady business promotion firms, and they won't take any responsibility for what they do. Right now, I think DreamStar Resorts is a scam.

On 10/21/22, my wife and I attended a Lux Vacation Resorts presentation in an undisclosed location.
On 10/21/22, my wife and I attended a Lux Vacation Resorts presentation. We joined their program and were charged $3995.00 immediately. They advised a 48-hour wait before scheduling vacations for system processing and membership assignment. In January, attempts to use their services failed as they couldn't locate our records, despite the credit card company confirming payment to Lux Vacation Resorts. We never received a membership number. Persistent calls led to a promise of a refund within 24 to 48 hours from a company representative, which never materialized. Further contact attempts, including emails promising a 24-hour human response, were ignored. Without a membership number, their services are inaccessible. I am seeking a refund due to their non-fulfillment and lack of trust.
On 12/2/2022 we attended a Lux Vacation Resorts discount travel service presentation in a city in the US
On 12/2/2022 we attended a Lux Vacation Resorts discount travel service presentation in a city in the US. The invite mentioned a Travel Fair targeting older couples. My 30-year-old son was not allowed to join. We were instructed to keep phones away, preventing any real-time research. The presenter claimed timeshare condos were available for $199 per week, suggesting this was typical. They boasted about supplying hotel bookings to major online agencies, implying they could offer significant discounts to members. After signing non-refundable agreements, it took over a month to access their site, only to find such deals were exceptionally scarce. The only available 'Value Deal' was in an undesirable location. RSI Vacations handles their bookings, and while courteous, they only provide basic email descriptions of costly trips. I believe I can find better deals with comprehensive photos online. They promised a free travel voucher for attending, but it's outsourced and fraught with issues. Instead of a voucher, we received a so-called 'upgrade' which is useless without using their service, essentially leaving us with a costly, useless membership. It's advisable to avoid this seemingly fraudulent scheme. It's a major inconvenience and a waste of vacation funds.
This complaint is about Lux Vacation Resorts, care of undisclosed contact.
This complaint is about Lux Vacation Resorts, care of undisclosed contact. My family attended a meeting about discounted vacations. They promised discounts on hotels, cruises, rental homes, and more, including brands like Marriott and Hyatt. They noted no discounts on domestic flights due to regulations but promised better international airfare prices. We joined for $6000, expecting an activation code to check prices. The meeting was on November 3, 2022, but we only received our activation on November 9, 2022, despite being told it would take a couple of days. With a 3-day cancellation policy, we couldn't assess the deals in time. Upon checking, I found identical prices for airfare and hotels compared to Lux Vacations. They claim to beat any price by 110%, but that's moot if their rates aren't lower. The $6000 fee seems unjustified if savings aren't realized. This is misleading from their pitch about international airfare and hotel rates. I tried to resolve this by calling multiple numbers, including 482-9229 and 468-0236, but no one could assist. Lux Vacation must leave a voicemail or email me for contact.
Attended a seminar on 8/3/2022
Attended a seminar on 8/3/2022. Sat through the presentation and chose not to buy. We were given a 'Air,Hotel and More' package to redeem in 30 days. Mailed it on 8/4/22. Told to expect it within 21 days. It's been 25 days, received nothing! Also promised a $150 gas card by email, which never arrived. This company is a scam. I am reporting them to the appropriate authorities.

Attended an informational seminar, and received none of was promised
Attended an informational seminar, and received none of was promised. we were told that we will receive an email with $150 gas card, in *** hrs. Its been more than two weeks and we received no emails, I asked for copies of the forms that we signed regarding the promotion for the gas card and was told they cant do that, so I took pictures, there were no phone numbers to call for the third party, and when you call Lux, to get a number or get help, all you get is an out going message saying that they have a problem with there phone system leave a message and they will call you back. We left many messages and no one has called. And we are still waiting for the other part of the promotion. Total absolute Sacramen!

On 4/23/22, we purchased a vacation resort discount package from, Lux VacationResorts
On 4/23/22, we purchased a vacation resort discount package from, Lux VacationResorts. We paid $3,995.00 for this package. The package started out at $16,000 or so. We were promised vacations at 5 star resorts for a nominal fee compared to standard fees. Bottom line is they did not dis close the truth. We have done everything to get our funds back, weve filed a hardship request letter as they requested, the last thing they told us we could do is sell it back after 12 months and wed get our money refunded. After speaking & writing to *** they have sent me to a sales broker, named ***, that promised a written contract to sell our Lux Vacation Resort to arrive on Monday via email for the cost of $299.00 upfront, after he has checked the buyers license agreement. As of this complaint I have nothing but a bunch of empty prissiest. I want my refund from this scamming cons.

My wife and I attended a Lux Vacation presentation in *** on Friday April 29 and signed a contract for $7494
My wife and I attended a Lux Vacation presentation in *** on Friday April 29 and signed a contract for $7494. I received access to their website three business days later on May 4. After reviewing the deals on the website, I discovered that the claims made in the presentation were false, such as we will get a 50% discount on weeks at luxury resorts. I checked a few resorts that I am familiar with and found a 1% discount. I was on a road trip at the time and wasn't able to check the website until May 5. The contract said that I only have until midnight on May 4 to cancel the contract. I started calling Lux Vacations on May 6 and 7, and no one returned my calls. Someone finally answered the phone on May 10, and said that I had to cancel in writing. I sent a letter the next day to the email address provided. I didn't receive a response, so I called two weeks later and was told they didn't receive the letter, and gave me a different address. I didn't receive a response, so I called yet again. The employee said that I didn't DESERVE a response since my letter was past the deadline. They said I could take the issue up with their lawyer. As usual, they never followed up. This is the most unprofessional company I have ever delt with. Legally, they may be in the right, very unethical. I just want my $7494 back.

We had a meeting with Lux Vacation Resorts on 7/6/2022 and signed a contract on that date
We had a meeting with Lux Vacation Resorts on 7/6/2022 and signed a contract on that date. We were told that all Covid restrictions internationally were lifted. This is important because my husband can not travel where there are restrictions due to his health related conditions. When we got home, my husband called regarding several international vacations-all which had restrictions. I called many times trying to explain our concern and that we needed to cancel-this was all done within 3 business days of signing contract. Usually there was no answer- they say they open at 9am est-they dont, occasionally call went to voicemail, however you couldnt leave a voicemail-mailbox full. The person I spoke with gave me detailed information to send letter/email to *** and include in subject line-Lux VacationResorts and to request full refund($7995.), sign it and include my phone number. This I did-twice. However, the contract said send email to LuxVacation Resorts, *** c/o67 ***. The information we have been given was fraudulent and deceptive-from the Covid policies to the contact information. No one has returned our calls or attempted to resolve anything. I contacted *** which was our form of payment and the amount is being disputed because they also said it sounded deceptive, fraudulent and said it was a good idea to contact the ComplaintsBoard.com.

On 06/10/2022 I purchased a package from Lux Vacation for a discount travel membership and a concierge for condo, hotels, cruises and more
On 06/10/2022 I purchased a package from Lux Vacation for a discount travel membership and a concierge for condo, hotels, cruises and more. During presentation I was advised I would save much money so I could be able to travel before I die. See I have stage 4 colon cancer and just found out it is getting worse and I just wanted to travel. Once I received my login information I tried to search what I could get right away. Right away I just wasn't seeing any great discounts but I thought well maybe it is chemo fog and my energy level not understanding the benefit so I walked away from it for a few weeks. Then I had my daughter check on a cruise to *** for me. Well her findings was very upsetting. They provided us with RSI Travel phone number to book a vacation. I thought I was getting a concierge. Which I thought would be my own one on one person. Instead we got a customer service line where we get a different person every time providing me with the exact same price as if I was to go directly to the cruise line or hotel. When my daughter asked if they will let her know if the cruise ship pricing drops she was told they don't provide notification of price change. However, if I was to book directly with any cruise line they have it set up to notify us of price change if we choose so. Basically NO benefit at all accept for Lux Vacation. They take your money and provide you with NOTHING. I tried to get a refund and they said they could sell my membership for a fee of $299.00. I refused because I don't trust them at all. I feel this is a SCAM! I am sick I have lost so much money. I am embarrassed to say how much I paid for this membership. They also provided me with an attorney's name and address. The name isn't even a person that is with AZbar.org and they provide me for the address for Lux Vacation location. This had done nothing but stress me out. I have been crying so much since I found out. Why would someone do this to me.

I attended a sales seminar at a hotel in an undisclosed location on May 19 put on by Lux Vacations and was offered a certificate to mail in for free round trip airfare. I sent the money to the company on the form I was given by Lux Vacations and received information on how to access their website. Upon visiting the website, I discovered there was no free airfare. Instead, I had paid for access to the company's website to view their 'low' prices, which turned out to be higher than what I can find independently. I feel misled by Lux Vacations and am seeking a refund of my $98 fee. Despite attempts to recover the fee from the third party involved, I have received no response.
