Tried to do whatever it took to drag her lazy self out of bed in the mornings while Katie (representative of Magnolia Bank) worked from home
Tried to do whatever it took to drag her lazy self out of bed in the mornings while Katie (representative of Magnolia Bank) worked from home. Constantly lied to me telling me she contacted the realtor and builders (three of them). All these people said they were never contacted. I did all her leg work. Wasted six months of my time, especially in this market. Finally dropped that dead weight and went with a different bank for a regular purchase. Closed in 30 days. In my view, Magnolia Bank is the worst. Can't believe they let Katie represent Magnolia Bank!
I recently obtained a loan from Magnolia Bank in Fishers, Indiana
I recently obtained a loan from Magnolia Bank in Fishers, Indiana. While my situation wasn't by any means straightforward, my Loan Officer and his assistant provided THEE BEST customer service I have ever experienced in any financial transaction. I've done more than a handful of purchase and refinance transactions through the years and this one was different. I could tell from the first phone call I would use this for this refinance and any others down the road. I would definitely recommend for home financing. Thank you!
Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Magnolia Bank. But the complete credit I give to Mr. Nolan. I truly never would have believed this process would have been possible. His expertise and dedication to his job not only made me a believer, it also showed his willingness to keep me focused and his positive attitude when he called to update me kept me motivated. Thank you, Mr. Nolan and Magnolia Bank. I truly will be sending clients to the bank, but my recommendation will be to work with Mr. Nolan. I am forever grateful.

I went through the process of refinancing with magnolia bank. It got all the way to the point where I was to sign on my email and docusign. Oh I couldn't get the doc you sign to work, contacted them, no one ever got back to me. I then spoke to the representative who said he would check on it, no one ever got back to me. I'm just not so sure these guys really know what they're doing. I opted to just in the process
I first met Theresa *** in 2016 and have had the utmost pleasure of doing business with her since then. Theresa has been phenomenal with us since we bought our first home. She truly goes above and beyond and provides a great sense of direction and guidance through every step. We are so grateful for her persistence and determination. Her knowledge, expertise and professionalism is unmatched. She has helped us get though many hurdles in the process and made sure to keep us informed at every moment. Making things such a breeze! Theresa is an incredible agent and we couldn't be happier with all her support and advice throughout the years. There's a reason she's our number 1!
We liked the process
We liked the process. We liked the people. We did three loans in a 12 month period. Our loan originator David P. handle all of our applications. We are thinking of doing another refinance with MB now that rates are blow 3% again. Would we recommend MB to others? The answer is Yes. Would we recommend using David P. Absolutely! Understand, we were doing the loans during the pandemic when people were losing their jobs due to the shut downs. The circumstances were very unusual so we were prepared for lots of questions and paperwork. We got through it.
We used David *** and he was fantastic. He took the time to understand our needs, he was able to get through minor hurdles and he also closed us ahead of schedule. We will use David again and we highly recommend him.
My wife and I closed a cash out refi with Magnolia Bank in December . I was initially hesitant using an online mortgage provider, however the extremely competitive rates from Magnolia led me to give it a try and I have no regrets. David was my primary contact and he was prompt at answering my questions, returning calls and emails. He never rushed the conversation, striking a good balance of being professional and personable. As my loan progressed through the approval process I also had good communication from Greg and Dan. The entire process was very well coordinated from gathering the necessary information securely, scheduling the appraisal and in-home closing. I appreciated the regular updates as to how things were progressing. We applied in late October and the mortgage was closed and disbursed on December 1st. I'll likely never have the need to refinance this loan again due to the great rate. However, I would consider Magnolia for any future new funding needs and have encouraged several colleagues and friends to give them a look.
19 days, start to finish, our mortgage refi with Magnolia Bank was a truly serendipitous experience! Our neighbor, having just completed his refi loan with Magnolia Bank, was so happy, he provided their contact information to us. We are thankful he did! David P., Greg E., and Dan M. were immediately responsive to all our questions, reaching out via text, email and phone. Never rushed, and with extreme patience, each explained and answered all our questions. On the day of closing, the mobile notary came to our home. The notary was professional and congenial. Documents were signed, and a couple phone calls were made to clarify a question we had. Getting David P. on the line was quick and easy, the title company's attorney was also instantly accessible. The closing was finished, notary out the door in less than 30 minutes! Overall, we could not have asked for a better experience. Our refi was handled by the Magnolia Bank Lauguna Hills CA branch. Our main contact was David P.

We had the most pleasant experience ever. We dealt with Nolan Stout and his team. They are by far the most organized team we've ever had the pleasure of working with. Nolan kept us abreast through the whole transaction. He is such a treat to work with. We have refinanced several times, and no one treated us like this. The transaction was virtually painless, and it was a delight to work with Magnolia, particularly Nolan Stout. He is the most pleasant loan officer we've ever dealt with. We will let everyone we know about Magnolia and recommend working with them. Our loan was approved and complete within four weeks. Astonishing!
Applied for a OTC construction loan on 7 June
Applied for a OTC construction loan on 7 June . I received a prequal letter the very next day. I immediately turned around all required documentation for final loan processing and sanctioning. This should normally take 2-3 days, but they said they received a lot of applications. Two weeks go by and they send me an email notice on 21 June notifying me the OTC construction loans are suspended. Magnolia Bank took my application knowingly they were going to suspend the loan type, hard pulled my credit, and sat then on my application processing. Where was the head sup before applying? Why waste two weeks of my time? Absolutely unreal. Never again. F-

I submitted my information as part of an interest in refinancing my home
I submitted my information as part of an interest in refinancing my home. However, I received several calls over the course of the morning. I was at work at could not answer calls or texts during the time. When I began to feel overwhelmed at the calls, emails, and texts, I responded via email and requested I be removed from the contact list. The response I received felt somewhat accusatory, as it was somehow my fault for being bothered by all of the calls. After I did not respond to that email, I received three more voicemails requesting I call back to speak about a loan. I was initially interested, but the amount of calls and the lack of listening feels predatory and excessive.
As realtor, trusting a lender with your client requires a major level of trust
As realtor, trusting a lender with your client requires a major level of trust. With Richie Duncan and his team @ Magnolia Bank have proven time and time again that they always will work in the best interest of their clients. I have sent clients to Richie & they come back to me with gratitude for sending such a competent yet down to earth lender who can really meet their needs. He never speaks above them & always at their level to make them feel confident that he can handle their needs. I will continue to send my clients to Richie & his competent team as I KNOW he will treat them as I would, with the utmost care! One of the great things I'd like to add is that not only does it not matter the size of the loan, but his experience in lending has taught ME options that would allow my clients to utilize options I didn't know existed. It's a privilege to know and be able to refer such a qualified professional. Matthew M.

i emphatically agree with the people who gave a 1 star review
i emphatically agree with the people who gave a 1 star review. we dealt with the southfield branch in michigan. after 4 months we still had not gone to settlement for our refinance. telephone call were rarely returned and we were promised closing dates on 3 different occasions. the kicker was we were told we did not need an attorney at the closing early on in the process. this week, right before we were ready to close again i was informed that you cannot close in delaware without one. they quickly answered they were not aware of this. how can you dare solicit in delaware if you don't know their real-estate transfer laws. have not heard from anyone for days so i called the consumer affairs and explained in detail all our issues. they want us to file a formal complaint involving deceptive procedures ,bait and switch tactics, and taking advantage of a trusting senior citizen (among other things to be determined when they read my documentation .) my last communication with them i was told they would call me right back, they never did.

I have been dealing with a loan officer at Magnolia Bank in Overland Park, Kansas
I have been dealing with a loan officer at Magnolia Bank in Overland Park, Kansas. The loan officer initially told us we were pre qualified for $323k which was the maximum for Collin County. Now we are going for approval and I am being told that the underwriter hasn't returned his emails, the system says refer eligible with no purchase amount, so he is dropping the amount to $200k. He then proceeded to tell me we do not qualify for manual underwriting due to our backend ratio. I asked for the underwriters name and he refused to give it. The loan officer then told me this conversation is over. Later that day he decided to send me a denial email stating he hadn't spoken to underwriting so he couldn't approve us etc. and said a denial letter was in the mail. He wasted our time for 2 weeks with his shenanigans. We still have no real answers except his system says refer eligible with no purchase price but we are still denied. After this experience I hate we ever even dealt with Magnolia Bank. If you are looking for a home loan do not apply here as you can be eligible through GUS and they still will deny you.
Coy Johnson is the loan officer I worked with in 2019
Coy Johnson is the loan officer I worked with in 2019. I missed qualifying for refinance by $150 due to my current financial status and my husband being out of work. April 26th, he text me asking if my husband had gotten a job. I informed him that my husband was still out of work. At that point, I asked Coy to let me know what my current loan needed to get down to, in order to qualify for refinance. He said that " we are already as low as we can go. You need to pay your credit cards off so that the only debt is your mortgage" My husband and I are in a financial bind; however, we pay our credit cards off to a zero balance every month. Our only debt is our mortgage. I asked the same question again. No response. Over the next 4 weeks, I left him several voice messages and even text numerous times...with no response. I text again on June 8th. I told him that his 'lack of response' was unprofessional and down right rude. Asked again for him to contact me ( preferably by a phone call) and that if I didn't hear back I'd contact Magnolia Bank's corporate office. Well, I heard back(a text when I asked for a call) and he said he couldn't help me and good luck. I'm still waiting for my question to be answered. LOL
Worst company ever
Worst company ever. Told them the first day what I wanted and they said they could do it. After paying for appraisal they said they couldn't do a cash out loan for manufacture home in Texas (they should know or at least look up the regulations before agreeing to finance a loan). The said they could go ahead and just refinance for a lower interest rate. At first we didn't agree and wanted to back out but we already paid for the inspection that Magnolia bank asked for us to do and pay for but they insisted we would be happy with the end results so we continued. 5 months later (after a lot of trouble) we finally get the clear to close and approved from underwriter. We were scheduled to sign on that Friday at 4pm. Friday comes around and I ask our lender who to make the cashiers check out to and she proceeds to tell me to hold on and that there was a delay and she would update me. No updates and ignores my email asking for an update. After I tried to call her she finally emails me that she doesn't know what's going on and to not hold up and they will follow up next week. So no information at all. Finally get a call on Monday saying they can't do the loan at all since my land wasn't connected to my house (which I told them from the very beginning and they knew the whole time) so once again they have very poor knowledge on the rules and regulations on different loans so don't believe anything they say. There was a lot more headache in between but too much to write on here. 5 months of headache for nothing.
I'm in the process of purchasing a new build home in Colorado, and I reached out to three different lenders along with the builder preferred
I'm in the process of purchasing a new build home in Colorado, and I reached out to three different lenders along with the builder preferred lender. I spoke with all the loan reps, and Richie was the first person to reach out but what shocked me is that he was the only one who didn't try to sell me or push me to proceed with them. Instead, he shared loan options and the "pros and cons" for each and recommended what he thought the best option would be for me based on my short/long-term plans. I decided to proceed forward with the direct lender based on their incentives, Richie and the team at Magnolia Bank. So I got all three, and they were close but based on the numbers, the preferred lender was a little better of a deal based on their incentives. But since I'm a first-time homebuyer, I had many questions after getting my initial loan details, and the preferred lender didn't answer any questions I had. So I was stressed and reached out to Richie, and he, without hesitation, was like, send it over, and I can review it. So based on the numbers, he checked and said it was a great deal but brought up a couple of questions to ask the loan officers. I was grateful since I would have never thought to ask and after asking, find out that there would be additional costs which would bring the monthly payment up a bit, which annoyed me! Long story short, after a lot of stress and debating, I went with Richie, and yes, it's a higher payment (not by much), but the fact that Richie made himself available to me when I asked and calmed my fears/stresses. I know that if anything comes up, I can reach out, and I'm not just a loan number. Call me old-fashioned, but how someone treats customers is more important than saving a few dollars, and I will recommend Richie to anyone looking for a home loan friend, family, or stranger doesn't matter!

Worked direct with loan officer and management on two refinance loans. Horrible experience from start to finish. Disorganized management team and no follow through to get loan closed on time. The disorganization resulted in last minute close on loans and resulted in late payments. Dan and Adam no follow throughs or call back.
