The website of MandM Direct is pretty good and the prices are also reasonable. However, I must say that I am disappointed with their choice of delivery company, Evri/Hermes. This delivery company has been voted as the worst business in the UK time and time again, yet MandM still uses them. I suppose it's all about the price, but I would much rather pay for delivery than have it free from this joke of a company.
I placed an order on the 29th of August for next day delivery, but it has been delayed time and time again by Hermes/Evri. Despite multiple emails of reassurance from MandM customer services saying they will resend my items, I have still not received anything. It's really frustrating and disappointing.
I have been in contact with MandM every day for almost two weeks now, but their customer services team keeps saying they will be in touch but never are. Hermes/Evri have my parcel, but they haven't even attempted to deliver it. They sent me two texts saying delivery failed on both the 8th and 10th of September, but I have a full CCTV system plus a ring doorbell, and no one came to my house. This is a blatant lie. Evri/Hermes have always been the most useless and deceitful delivery service and are a disgrace to their profession.
Both MandM and Evri are virtually impossible to contact. MandM has an email, but they decide when to reply. As for Evri, the only contact for them is an automated bot that just tracks your parcel, and that's it. I have literally wasted whole days of my life just trying to find out where my t-shirts are. It's absolutely ridiculous.
If MandM wants to make an attempt to make this right, then here is my order number: #51A63AH. However, I can tell you one thing - I found all the same items on Amazon for less money and next day delivery. Okay, so I have been a loyal customer of this company for so many years. I recently placed an order for a birthday gift for my brother, after a few days, I emailed customer service as I had not received a shipment update. Needless to say, I did not receive a response, and had to email a second time, at which time, I was advised that due to the flooding in the warehouse, my order would not be fulfilled and would be refunded. Granted, unavoidable things occur, but I should have been notified that I would not receive my order, instead I had to email twice to find this out. So, I was left without a birthday gift for my brother, and had to purchase an alternative gift. Days later, I received an email from the company advising that they are back up and running after the flood. Funny, how the company wants to send those emails out, but they failed to notify customers about their orders being cancelled. I emailed customer today and asked if the company was offering any GWG to customers who's orders were cancelled and refunded, not only due to the inconvenience, but in my situation due to the fact that I was under the impression my order would be shipped, since I was not contacted about the issue of the flood. Now again, unexpected things occur, however, as a business owner myself, I understand the importance of showing customers that their business is appreciated, and doing what I can to sort out any issues which may have arisen through no fault of their own. To my surprise, a rep by the name of Harry advised the flood was unavoidable, so no GWG would not be offered. After I responded and advised that I had not been notified about the cancellation of my order, he attempted to make excuses advising that perhaps I have their site blocked from receiving emails or the email went into my spam folder. Of course neither of those excuses were valid, as I checked my spam mail, and obviously the site is not blocked if I receive promo emails from them all of the time. I then received an email from Jeanette advising that the flood was unavoidable. I am extremely disappointed in the manner in which this matter was handled.
