In 2016 we built our brand new home and put laminate on our entire main floor (paid contract interiors $9k) which ate up our entire flooring allowance so that we wouldn’t (or believed we wouldn’t) have to deal with replacing our main floors ever again. Contract interiors said and I quote “you could dump a bucket of water on the floor and leave it for 24 hrs and it will be good” Fast forward…after living there for 4 years we called contract interiors due to our floor lipping up at the edges and it easily warping after a leak to the dishwasher which was picked up in less than their 24 hr bucket of water speech. our entire floor around the dishwasher is warped. Under the toilet where my potty training child missed is all warped, in the laundry room where a few swim suits dropped tiny drips of water warped, ice cubes dripping from the freezer and picked ip right away warped. Needless to say it is not water proof for even 30 mins. Imagine raising two young kids that spill. I ended up filing against contract interiors to the bbb due to them lying that they filed a claim stating it had been denied even though they never filed. Also they lied about what I cleaned the floor with, they also don’t back what they sell. They said I should use the bona mop to clean my floor yet speaking with the manufacturer they said I should never spray anything on my floor rather to use a damp cloth with mannington spray. So they set me up for failure from day one. I submitted a claim to mannington mills and sent in samples which they denied saying it was not a faulty product but a “site issue” whatever that means” fast forward again to today. Our dehumidifier bucket dumped as we were carrying it to the sink. We picked it up immediately (less than 30 seconds) since our floor is known for warping we are very careful with it. Our middle of the kitchen is entirely warped. In 30 seconds! I can’t reach out to contract interiors as clearly they don’t stand by their word or their products. So I was left with calling mannington mills. The girl was extremely rude at first but did lighten up as the conversation continued. She did tell me that the spill shield wasn’t added until 2017. A year after we installed. I asked her if it was added due to the all claims that were submitted against them and she denied that. She said this is an issue between the flooring company and myself due to me sending samples in and the samples being fine. I didn’t care what she said I still submitted another claim. Im waiting to hear back, but she basically told me on the phone that my product is fine and because of that my warranty won’t cover anything. So here we are stuck with terrible warped flooring after now 7 years but it started immediately. Neither company stands by their warranty. I will never again put laminate down. I will never allow anyone I know to use mannington mills. There should be a class action lawsuit against this flooring.

Desired outcome: Refund or replacement of our floors
