Very poor quality, water damaged restoration service provided by jenkins restoration company aurora, colorado was
Water leak damaged service provided by Jenkinks (Christopher Jenkins, Core Claims Estimator/Project Manager,16200 E 2nd Ave, Unit 150, Aurora, CO 80011, Office: 720‑492‑1760, Cell: 719‑472‑4890, Fax: 720‑492‑1760) was unprofessional, left the work in unfinished state for 5 months, poor quality work, also damaged the tile during restoration time.
Restoration work was began on December 2021 and not completed till May 2022.
They used non professional workers, who left the worksite very dirty (pains all around the light, patches left in the middle of the ceiling which was prominently showing uneven surface, they reported work completed 3 times but took five months to make celling even with other area (which was not damaged by water).
They also broke the tile on floor while they were working to repair ceiling. They were reluctant to replace the broken tile which was broken by their worker.
Overall, Jenkins restoration team, Aurora, Colorado 80011 (Christopher Jenkins, Core Claims Estimator/Project Manager) is not a professional restoration team. Please beware with them.
Desired outcome: They charge high price but provide poor quality work.Based on their services, should be refunded 20 percent from their invoiced amount.
Water damage to the first floor of the house
I am writing a complaint I usually do not do these types of things but I had the most Horrific experience of my life. My house had water damage in October of 2020 from a leaky dishwasher... it took these guys at Jenkins over 9 months to finish this job! The quality is so so bad. I am so deeply regretful of going with my insurance company's recommendation! I...

This company has still not finished it's work...and wants me to sign over checks from my insurance company. It's been a year our kitchen, laundry room and parts of our basement were flooded. They didn't finish the laundry room, it took 3 times to even get close to finishing our hardwood floor properly...and that was a huge fight! Hardwood floor: 1-wrong finish and lower quality wood than originally used, 2-worm holes all over, 3-finally got a knowledgeable guy! Scratched my tile In the laundry room. Didn't listen to me as far as what time would work for getting this done. They wanted us our of the house every time they redid the floors for 3 days. Try finding a place for 2 great danes, 3 times! We never interferred with their work. We stayed off of the floor everytime for as long as recommended and then some. They did get good with there tear out stuff, but used many poor quality contractors after. Wouldn't recommend them, I have seen a whole house redone from flooding in the time it took them to just get a few areas done correctly.

However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- While Jenkins Restorations has a high level of trust, our investigation has revealed that the company's complaint resolution process is inadequate and ineffective. As a result, only 14% of 7 complaints are resolved. The support team may have poor customer service skills, lack of training, or not be well-equipped to handle customer complaints.
- Jenkins Restorations protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
close out
By way of commitment to Jenkins Restorations, I am offering my final remarks on the project I've posted complaints about previously.
Once Jenkins re-assigned my effort to a new management team (i.e., corporately), I received the attention and care I would have hoped had been applied since the beginning of the project. Unfortunately, the damage had already been done which we had to bring to negotiated settlement.
worst experience ever
Jenkins restoration — not fit for business
Make it stop! We are in the midst of repairs done by jenkins due to water damage in our home. They were recommended by our insurance company who has been our only advocate to date. We are thousands of dollars in the hole as a result of their damage. Since the day jenkins arrived to provide an estimate and we subsequently gave our consent for them to do the work:
1. We've never seen the project manager again.
2. We've had to prompt him to communicate about the most basic of items... To include emails and call their management without response as well.
3. They damaged two major pieces of furniture.
4. They damaged the new hardwood that they installed the day prior.
5. They left a massive cleanup effort in the basement from the hardwood installation above.
6. They were smoking in our home.
7. They installed new vanities on top of tile that is to be torn out.
8. They installed new faucets that leaked, didn't work, and the sink drain didn't hold water.
9. They left sawdust and debris under the vanities.
10. They came in the house with wet/salty boots on and then up carpeted steps.
11. They schedule people to be here during a time that we advised we would not be here.
All of these issues have caused lost wages, heirloom furniture damage, further delays, and many additional issues beyond the water damage repairs they were retained to fix. I would use another restoration company without any hesitation if you value your home, your belongings, and your sanity. Exploring all manner of recourse to make this stop.
horrible
Worst Contractor Experience Ever.
Jenkins Restoration was recommended by my insurance company to provide comprehensive care after a water leak in my home. I did not realized that "comprehensive" would include all of the damage, mistakes, miscues, and lack of attention at the hands of Jenkins. Since they first came to the house to estimate the damage:
1. I've never seen their project manager again. Their management has not responded to call and email.
2. They have had to be prompted to communicate with me by my insurance company about the most basic of things.
3. Their contractors have damaged heirloom and other furniture to the tune of thousands of dollars of repairs. More headaches in the future.
4. Their contractors have damaged new hardwood installation causing yet another day of lost wages to be home for the repairs and less-than-seamless hardwood install.
5. They have scheduled folks to be here without our knowledge or agreement causing further delays and time off work.
6. They have left a massive cleanup in our basement from the splinters and dust from hardwood installation. More time off work, delays, and money out of pocket to cleanup.
7. They installed new vanities on tile that was to be removed first. More time off work and delays.
8. They installed new faucets that did not work, bent the pipe underneath, the sinks did not hold water, and there was a leak under the new sink after their install. More time off work and delays.
9. The vanities arrived without the ordered hardware and full compliment of backsplashes. More time off work and delays.
10. Their contractors were smoking in our home and walked on carpet with wet/salty (snowy day) boots. More headaches and cost to have professionally cleaned.
11. Their contractors came THREE times to measure for vanities. Each time causes lost wages.
12. Their contractors left sawdust, debris, and plumbers tape in vanities without cleaning up.
Each of these mistakes are costing us money out of pocket through lost wages to be home to fix, actual damages, and actual cleanup etc required. None of these issues alone are cause for concern or not showing patience/grace. Mistakes happen. BUT, the aggregate is alarming. Jenkins clearly does not care for its clients professionally or provide the level of oversight necessary to assure that things are done correctly. My insurance company's recommendation of Jenkins is dubious and I have strongly encouraged them to seriously consider removing them from their preferred vendor list. They are a horrible representative to what is an outstanding insurance company. If they would put themselves in the client's shoes perhaps they might better appreciate how successful business are run.
quality of restoration work
I had extensive water damage through 3 levels of my home. My insurance company's recommendation was Jenkins Restoration for water mitigation and since Jenkins could send a crew out that evening, I went with their recommendation. The water mitigation crew was wonderful so based on that experience I decided to allow Jenkins Restoration to complete the...
