The first day I went to get my hair done, the girl wouldnt come downstairs to meet me. I couldnt find the place, it looked like an abandoned building. When she finally came out, it seemed like she had an attitude. Very little conversation when I was getting by my hair done. I left with no complaints, until I made it to brighter lighting. My closure was over plucked for the part and full of makeup. Anyways, I had to reschedule a appointment to have my hair re done because she didnt put in my closure incorrectly. The second girl, different shop did my hair I didnt let her take down the braids. What a mistake. Today is November 14, *** a full chop, she chopped off all my hair. Im gonna try to go through the process of this complaint with Mayveen. to see what they can do.

Worst Hair Ever Mayvenn says that you can dye cut and wear it. The hair supposed to be tangle and not shed I brought this hair a few months ago in July. I just got it put in 2weeks ago and it sheds ridiculously and tangles bad. I wasted $464.96 of my hard earned money on this hair thinking it would be a better quality than what I am use to getting which its definitely not. I thought because of the price it was. I had it saved for my trip to Miami and boy do I regret wasting my money on these 3 bundles and closer I wish I would have checked this site before now. I would have never thought twice about buying it and stuck to my usual.. you all ought to be ashamed my stylist been doing hair for 20yrs and if you try to dye the hair it makes the shedding and tangling worse. Im so upset I have to get my hair done again and spend more money because of you alls false advertising.

I was initially happy with mayvenn when I first started purchasing their bundles and frontals about two years ago. Now I feel like the quality of their hair has gone down. I purchased a wavy Brazilian wig from them and it was fine so I turned around and purchased a straight wig and this quality was not up to par. The wig looked like it was not 100% human hair which is whats advertised on the website and had lots of fly aways. The lace was the worst part! This is no transparent lace. Its dark *** and very rough and hard which doesnt make for a good install.
NOT VIRGIN HAIR! This is clearly false advertising. I purchased 3 bundles of the Virgin Brazilian Loose Wave. After one wash and style it's is a frizzy tangled mess! Virgin hair does not behave this way. Buyer beware!

DONT' BUY THIS! Horrible and over priced for it's performance! I purchased Brazilian Deep Wave lace-front wig in April on the advice of my hair stylist. Didn't read any reviews because she was recommending it. Don't have a receipt because she purchased it, shipped it to me and I reimbursed her. Initially, I thought it was a good purchase; it looked good and felt good. However, after the first washing and reinstall no product would work to end the tangling and bunching up. I contacted the company and asked what product I could use and my response was more about their return and exchanged policy. They said I'd get a separate email with return instructions which I have yet to receive. I tried getting an answer to the question about which products to use on the website and was unsuccessful there as well. I'm very disappointed and out of $132.99 plus what it cost to install. By posting this review, I hope to save someone else from the loosing money has I have. I'm giving it one star because it looked good at the start. Please don't waste your money!

I would see advertisements for this vendor and thought I would get quality hair. However, I was extremely disappointed. For the cost, you do not get quality hair. The closure was extremely short and thin. No way you could wear the closure more than once. It is so thin, I don't see how it could be worn longer than 2 weeks. I purchased the hair for my birthday and had to purchase more hair from another vendor to get the desired hairstyle. Thinking that if I searched the hairstyle that the website advertised and purchased the hair that they said the model used, would work. WRONG! The bundles would not even cover my entire head, which is small. So, this is my first and last time making a purchase with this vendor. For the money I spent, I expected better. That was my fault.

This is the crappiest hair I have ever used! It gets so matted & frizzy, & has a nerve to be priced so high. The ends look so fried after washing even if you didnt use any heat. The hair is dry & thin as well. The customer service is good, but they still send the same poor quality hair. It only last 2 weeks after an install

However, my most recent order was not nearly up to the quality I am used to. I noticed the hair looked a little damaged on the ends and the bundles seemed a lot thinner than in the past when I initially received the hair. I should have known when I paid for expedited shipping, which had to be refunded because the order took forever to arrive, that things were not the same. I have since installed the hair since I paid good money for it, but the wear has been so disappointing. The hair sheds like crazy, the length has shrunken quite a bit, and the closure piece is almost non existent at this point due to shrinking and tangling. I purchased the hair in May and am already about to toss it out and purchase new hair from elsewhere. I have had hair from Mayvenn in the past which has lasted me months on end as I take very good care of my hair and I hardly ever use heating tools. I just want others to save their money, find a better place to buy hair, and let me know when you find them!

I even left them a great review after about a week of wearing the bundles I spent $379.00 on HOWEVER this hair has turned on me in the worst way. I came here to get accurate reviews and to see if there was something I was doing wrong (which I know I'm not because I'm an advit weave wearer). I knew when I saw all the 1 Star reviews that I was simply duped. I'm so disappointed. I love this companies branding, customer service, delivery and overall how its ran BUT this HAIR is the worst. It's truly a mess. The tangling is impossible. It flares up terribly while air drying. It flares up terribly in braids or two strand twists. The matting in the back of the neck is atrocious. I'm just so disappointed. I do not leave negative reviews. The only reason why I'm leaving this one is in Hope's that the company will investigate and deliver a better product because everything else regarding the brand is 5 star. JUST NOT THE HAIR. I'm truly just highly disappointed. This hair didn't last me 6 weeks. Let alone 6 months to a year. I bet on Mayvenn and lost. :( Did I mention that I was disappointed.

Mayven ruined my holiday! I was a customer for over 8 years! I've order hair almost every 6 weeks o er the years and paid for expedited shipping and the package was still late no refund on my expedited shipping cost this time i ordered on blk Friday mind you it hasn't even been 6 weeks since my last purchase and I finally get a tracking number and still nothing as of today I emailed and was told they would ship out a replacement of the 18 20 22 inches body wave I ordered then I was emailed again saying the 22 was sold out and they would send *** 2 days! If you were sending a replacement why wouldn't you send it immediately my hair appointment was scheduled for this Saturday Dec 10 now ill have to miss my appointment and don't know what I'm gonna do for my company party Christmas or my new years trip all my holiday plans ruined and over 600 spent in 6 weeks time im beyond upset and will never support this half a*** company again! this was my first experience with mayvenn. i was so excited to begin the process of scheduling and it was terrible. mayven was professional and patient with me due to all the emails and text messages. i finally was able to get an appt in MD with a stylist ***. she and i corresponded via text and I sent her my hair to be customized (bleach knots and pluck hairline) I live in PA so i sent the hair to her. She text me to confirm receipt of the hair. she received the hair three days prior to my appt. i arrived on time for my appt. she appeared professional had a nice clean area in her home to do my hair. she braids my hair down for the 360 install. LONG STORY SHORT, she never bleached the knotS, never shampooed or plucked the hairline, she butchered my unit. she sewed part of it around my croWn but left large pieces of lace exposed and sticking out all around my head.. ITS A 360 and when i pulled my hair up in the back all you saw was LACE CUT UNEVENLY ALL AROUND THE BASE OF MY NECK. it wasnt even glued at all just flapping around my head! i literally cried i will never use this company or its stylists ever again. i appreciate mayven for refunding my money and sending me a new unit, but this experience has affected me negatively and im done! *** should be ashamed of herself for the way she treated me and my hair. AWFUL!

I have been purchasing bundles, closures and frontals from Mayven for several years. I absolutely loved the hair! It was always silky and never had problems with it tangling. During the pandemic I decided to purchase a frontal wig unit since salons where closed. The hair was awesome and had the same texture as the other products I had ordered. I ordered a 360 frontal wig unit. After having it installed about two to three times at the salon I noticed it was beginning to bald in the top so I purchased another one. After having the new one installed once I noticed it began balding as well in the top. I contacted Mayven and they sent me a replacement. The hair texture of the replacement wig unit was not the same as the hair I had previously received. The split ends were horrible and the length of the hair was not right. The unit seemed as if it was not new. I called about it and they sent another replacement. I was unsatisfied with the quality of the replacement also. It seems as if the replacement units they sent out were a cheaper quality. The texture of the hair is not good. The 1st and 2nd units I purchased had Mayven's logo inside the unit but the replacements did not. I thought that was strange. I did not contact them again because I was told the 2nd replacement was the final one. I really loved Mayven and the quality of their hair until lately. I read another viewer pointed out that you cannot leave a review on their website which explained why I couldn't leave one when I tried. This makes me think the reviews on there were written by them. I hate the latest experiences I've had with their product because I have loved them for several years, howver, unfortunately do not think I will be purchasing from them again.

Highly not recommended! I am out of $500. They only offered store credit of $50. And I have since returned the hair and have not received any feedback. I purchased hair after seeing the advertisement through social media. I thought it was a cool idea and an awesome way to find a new stylist. I had not purchased *** hair but I watched the videos and felt good about my decision. Upon receipt of the hair, it smelled synthetic but I hoped after being dyed it would be different (I do not wear weaved hair often). I splurged on myself and paid $45 a bundle to have the stylist dye my hair. I dropped my hair off a week early to the stylist. On the day of my appointment, she was 15 minutes late, I had to call her several times. She arrives and says she had been too busy to dye my hair. My appointment was to start at 9 am she did not start my hair until 10:05 am. During this process, she did give me a deep condition because she noted I needed one but she did not give me the trim I paid for. And then asked me why I did not remind her. She applied the hair and told me that *** did not pay for styling only the install and gave me a slight bump. Leaving the hair to fall instantly and did not keep a curl when I tried later. I tried a flex-rod set on the hair and it did not last. I tried to heat with hair spray still no luck. I contacted *** and explained my experience, while empathetic the rep sent out replacement hair. The hair that came was smelly and clearly synthetic. I was also told I would receive a new voucher for a stylist. She also said she would give me a $50 store credit. After some contemplation and review of the website (again), I opted to return the replacement hair and the bundle that was not used. I am still waiting to hear if they have received the replacement hair and the bundle I returned. Additionally, I have contacted them to inquire about a full refund.I purchased the hair on June 6. Received my return label for replacement hair on June 23. Made the decision to return and contact them on June 30, to inquire about the return process again for the replacement hair and unused bundle. I have again reached out and contacted their customer service with avail. My full order total was $364.96 plus the hair dye for 3 bundles $135. I am out of $499.96 exactly! And they offered me a $50 store credit for hair I have only had in for three weeks. Two weeks bitterness and One week with a freaking dreadlock on my head.

They even said the stylists weren't qualified. I had to pay $150 because of their mistake, but they said they would refund me. I never got the refund and found out they used it for my ZIP payments. Now they want another $70. I asked for my money back, but they gave me the wrong refund. They made me miss work and ruined my birthday. They won't talk to me.

I bought hair from Mayvenn for the first time. The instructions said to cowash and detangle, which messed up the curl pattern. I tried to fix it but it didn't work. I wasted my money on the hair and installation. I called customer service and they said the hair was faulty. They agreed to refund half of my payment for the bad hair and the other half when I returned the unused hair. I did as they said but my refund was delayed. When I asked about it, they said they returned the unreturned items and now won't refund the other half. I'm confused. Please give me a full refund because none of the hair worked and I lost money twice because of your bad hair.
I bought 3 bundles and 1 lace closure (14/14/18/) of loose wave Brazilian hair (W808207743) on 8/20 for $274.95
I bought 3 bundles and 1 lace closure (14/14/18/) of loose wave Brazilian hair (W808207743) on 8/20 for $274.95. I got it installed on 8/27, but the stylist messed up the closure (see pic). The braid was too tight, causing hair bumps on my head, and there were short, loose hairs near the wefts that stuck up in many sections around my middle part. I contacted customer service on 9/15 and did an exchange order for (3) 16 Peruvian deep wave bundles and (1) 14 Peruvian deep wave lace closure (W827144745). I called customer service again and spoke to a lady who suggested I get the deep wave Brazilian hair instead of the Peruvian. So, I exchanged the Peruvian hair for the Brazilian hair, which I received on 9/21 (I didn't get an order number for this Brazilian hair). I had it installed on 9/22 and asked the stylist to blow dry it. She said yes and that it would return to its normal curl pattern after washing it. But after I left, the hair started falling out like crazy. I washed it about a week later, and it was tangled and falling out everywhere. I called customer service again on 10/5 and spoke to *** who said they didn't recommend blow drying deep wave hair. I asked her why the stylist didn't know this, and she said she didn't know but that she would allow me to make another exchange. I called back AGAIN on 10/13 and decided to order (2) 16 and (1)14 bundles of Brazilian yaki straight hair and (1)14 lace closure. I had it installed on 10/22, and now this hair falls out every time I comb it! I just want to return this mess and get a full refund, including the $48.92 credit that I currently have.

Terrible experience. Still waiting for my REFUND! And just to think this is a black-owned company! I returned the hair because it arrived late, so I can't say whether it was good quality or not. However, I am still waiting for my refund from November 17th, and they act like they don't know where my refund went or that I gave them a total of $304.97. They only credited me $40 and are pretending like they only owe me $244.97, which they claim was refunded, but they don't know where it went. If you charged my AMEX $20 for shipping and my PayPal $284.97 for three bundles, why would you only refund my AMEX $20 and my PayPal $20, and act like you only still owe me $244.97 and don't know where the $244.87 went? Clearly, you owe me $264.97. I returned your hair promptly and professionally, so why all the hassle with my money?

I bought a side part wig. I have purchased several wigs. This one i used in dec 21 for the fist time. It is so matted and tangled. I wont purchase from this vendor again. False advertising. I am so disappointed. I complained previously directly to mayvenn on another wig for the same issue and never got a response.
I bought 360 unit that is not good quality hair. As soon a i would flat iron it the nape of the hair would tangle really, really bad. I sheds super bad ALL the time! I paid too much money for a unit that is suppose to last over time and the moment i got it i was disappointed. I never knew what to do with it so i just placed it in my closest, until i was informed that i can actually put in a complaint for it.
