I purchased an antivirus program for my computer for $133.25 on 7/22/23. I received my credit card statement on 9/923. Checking through my cc statement, I noticed the $133.26 charge that cleared on 7/24/24 PLUS another charge for $58.63 on 8/7/23 which cleared on 8/8/23. I called McAfee customer service and explained the situation and do you know what they told me?! That the charge is over 30 days and cannot be refunded. I explained to them over and over again including the supervisor that I DID NOT PURCHASE THIS PLAN FOR $58.26, I already paid for the $133.25 plan. How can I check the purchase within 30 days when the cc statement comes in after 30 days and I am not aware of this purchase. THESE PEOPLE WERE NOT SYMPATHETIC; "IT'S THE RULES" they told me. I told them to have their manager call me. I will also call my bank to see if they can help and will let everyone know that McAfee IS THE WORST! DO NOT PURCHASE MCAFEE! If it is so easy to charge a service to your account, then there is something seriously wrong with the system for ordering.
Desired outcome: I hope to hear from McAfee supervisor regarding my complaint that I left with the supervisor, but somehow, I seriously doubt they will call me back as they seemed determined not to credit my account.
