Upon my initial subscription for Mcafee Live Safe Antivirus Software on 9/13/23, i endured problems with access to & use of internet on my hp Desktop. Of course i called McAfee & they took over my hp Desktop, (as they did when application of the Antivirus Software) then proceeding to go through any problems regarding use of the internet. The seemed to fix the problem at first, but after a short period, That problem occurred again, therefore i called again & they went through what ever they do for that problem & Once again the problem seemed fixed?... Of course that was not so. Therefore i contacted them again after contacting Xfinity/Comcast to tell them about this problem. Xfinity/Comcast did all the checks they do & ultimately said "alll was well" with my connection. I had mentioned that i had recently acquired McAfee Antivirus Software & subscribed with McAfee. Xfinity mentioned that i should call McAfee & ask them if i can remove the software, to see if its application was interfering with my internet access. I did so & explained to McAfee agent that as explained to me, we needed to renove McAfee Software, then reapply it. This was done & immediately after removing this software, the Internet worked fantastic. NOW WE KNEW WHERE THE PROBLEM WAS. This agen t seemed furious as Comcast implied this, (listen to recording of this interaction on the phone). He exclaimed "Oh! Xfinity said all that, huh? I explained to him that this was just a check to see if the software was interfearing with the access & use of internet. THIS GUY SEEMED EXTREMELY UPSET. Now the internet worked fantastic." i was very happy but overly concerned about thei software. I explaiuned that if the software wasnt working propery, then i should get my money back. I believe at this time he decided we should reapply the software to see if it affected the internet again. He told me i needed to shut off my pc, the turn on again. i explained to him that i could not fint this method on the home screen & that i knew it was not a good idea to use the button on the back. He said to use the button on back & i did so. Then he reapplied this software & the SCREEN WENT GREEN, requiring a Bitkey to access the pc. We talked about this & he exclaimed that i should not have used the button on back of pc & i told him that he told me to do so, & it would be ok. He started playing word games & our conversation was going no where so i hung up on him as he was blaming everything on me. I only did what he told me to do on the phone. He refused to access my pc, but needed to know what type & the model number of my hp PC Desktop. I immediately called back & McAfee said all i needed was to call hp & give them an email associated with the pc & all will be ok. This was not correct as hp told me tyheres nothing i can do, unless i knew the Bitkey number. I was devastated. My pc was destroyed because of McAfee agent who only seemed to have a hatred for Xfinity/Comcast & obviously me too...? I hav already filed with McAfee regarding this devastation & loss of my pc & the cash spent to purchase it a year ago. I explained in my complaint to McAfee that i wanted replacement or the money i spent for it, (which i hav receipt of). Thid hp Deskto does not hav a removable harddrive. There goes my Christmas spending & now i need to buy another Desktop ". Im Scrooged By McAfee."

On 9/13/23 i decided to get a Antivirus for my hp desktop. i contacted McAfee by phone & did just that. They took over my desktop & did what they were suppose to do...i guess? Bill was paid & all personal info loaded to pc for constant watch by McAfee Software. CC, Bank account, social, & any other areas they claimed was a good thing to keep aware of, security wise. After a couple months or so, problems were happening with access to internet. I contacted McAfee 3 different times & they seemed to fix the problem. After a few days the problem would happen again, but not constantly, so i called them again. They did what they do taking over my pc & all seemed well again...AGAIN IT HAPPENED...i was getting furious as this was not suppose to be happening. I decided to call Comcast & they did an extensive test & told me all should be working good at my end & Comcast has nothing to do with this problem happening. All of the problems were happening on & off over a period of three weeks. After talking with Comcast & telling them that i had just recently acquired McAfee Antivirus Software, they mentioned for me to contact them & see if removing the Software would correct the problem. I did so & upon removing the software, the internet took off like a jet...ALL WAS BACK TO NORMAL...FANTASTIC, RIGHT...? the McAfee agent decided that we should shut off the pc by the button on the back. I told him i was advised to always use the home screen to access on & off.He then wanted to know the make & model of the pc, which i gave to him. He stated, well its ok for this, so i turned it off by the back button on the pc. Upon coming back on the screen went Green - Requiring A Bitkey to Resume use of the pc. The screen is still locked on the green screen everytime u turn power on to the pc. THE 1 YEAR OLD PC IS NOW DESTROYED. I called HP immediately, talked with him for a while & i was told theres no way to get the Bitkey. (THATS WHAT I WAS TOLD BY THE TECHNICIAN AT THAT TIME)...Come to find out, this pc does-not hav a removable harddrive. Its a soldered harddrive into the circuir board. Supposely more reliable & less chance of loosing memory. (thats what i was told) So...im out $500. I did get back every penny from Mc
Afee & they even tried to run some crap to me about this & that...anyway i did get all of it back. Woopey doo. McAfee sucks & theyre liars & thieves. I felt something was wrong when the last 3 agents as the kept transfering me "WOULDNT" give me the repair or confirmation number they give you on every call made to them. I hav some of the previous repair numbers & a few names (which are bogus im sure). What a nice Xmas present! Its obvious that this company hires Angry - Prejudice - Hatefull - Uneducated - Predatory - Liars & Thieves. upon contacting McAfee, like i have other times, there was an internet problem. I contacted Xfinity & all necessary checks were done, showing that Internet was perfically ok there. They requested me to contact Mc Afee & see if it was ok to remove the Antivirus Software & Optimizer & see how the internet was working then. Upon doing this & telling the employee why i was callin, he proceeded to give me advice & refused to take over my pc (as was done times befor) but said it wasnt necessary & his verbal request will do the same thing. I followed his directions & once Software was removed, the internet problem completely disapeared immediately. Then he stated we needed to reapply it & once that was done & following a few mor requests the computer screen LOCKED UP WITH THE WARNING OF APPLYING THE BITKEY, in order to activate & continue use of the pc. I called Hp, talked to them & they determined they could not help me or Retrieve the Bitkey. There seemed to be a problem upon the employee telling me to shut off the pc from the back button on the pc. I kno thats a bad idea & stated so. After doing so he stated, "why did u do that shut off that way & i asked him prior to doin so that i never had to ever use that shut off button on back & i knew it was never a good idea to do that. He started playing word games as u can see by listening to the conversation. He Destroyed My 1 - Year Old Computer that COST ME $550. I am retired & disabled. My incomb is limited & a pc is a Very BigDeal & COST! DO U UNDERSTAND?... I WAS REIMBURSED THE ENTIRE COST OF THE mCaFEE lIVEsAFE aNTIVIRUS sOFTWARE & THE oPTIMIZER on or around the 27th of November . Your people didnt even know how the reimbursement was to be done. NO ONE KNEW ANYTHING! ...i thought for sur u would screw me outa that, but u didnt if my CC Company got it right. You owe me for the replacement or cost of this year old hp desktop...R U Gonna Pay For this PC?
