Unprofessional realtor - Gary Potts (Oregon)
We bought a home from a seller who hired Gary Potts as their realtor. We viewed the home with our realtor and then separately during one of the open houses. When I entered the home during an open house, Gary was on the phone and did not greet me, yet he greeted the families and men that entered (gender discrimination). I was there without my husband. He finally came over when I was just about ready to leave and I asked him questions. He had no idea how to answer the basic questions I had regarding size of bathrooms, bathtubs, laundry room. He stated that he didn't know an answer about plumbing work because plumbers are "beneath him".
We made an offer on the home and my poor realtor had such a horrible experience working somewhat unsuccessfully with Gary. She called Gary a few times in the evening and he yelled at my realtor, stating he was in bed already. He didn't answer her questions. She was stunned at how unprofessional he was given he was rude to her on several occasions! When she tried to get answers to questions realtors ask other realtors, he referred her to his secretary. He also blew up when we requested a certain repair as part of the negotiation. Gary appears to have anger management issues and narcissistic tendencies. I also noticed he wrote a 5 star review of himself on Zillow, as it is signed "G. Potts". Dealing with him (directly and indirectly) was unpleasant and stressful.

Be warned if you ever you this agent for listing or buying a home. We had him as our listing agent, and right off the bat we had problems with him returning calls, be available to respond say day to requests or handling paperwork. We had an offer on our house and were in the middle of negotiations, and he decided it was more important to attend a school...
