Recently my Samsung GearVr stopped working due to the following issues. Out of nowhere I was “logged out” of my oculus account. I tried logging into the oculus VR account by creating a new account and it kept saying connection error, so I moved to connecting my Facebook and (my Facebook works fine) it would let me get to the linking part but then my password would not work I then reset the password and tried again same issue so I then tried downloading the play store oculus app and I mean it let me log in so I linked my Facebook account to it for easier access and I tried pairing the VR headset and now I cant even get into my "continue with facebook" part of oculus because it say Facebook session expired.
There are countless other users experiencing the exact same problem and Meta refuses to do anything about it. All that they do is give the same generic response and ask to to PM them with your details and say that the engineers are looking into it. It has been over 12 months since this problem was documented in the Meta forums and they still will not fix something that is not a difficult fix.
Meta needs to be made accountable for deliberately causing this bug to make people upgrade their headsets. Dodgy business practices that need to be punished.
Desired outcome: Fix the log in issue that hundreds/thousands of people have complained about.
