Closing my account without my permission and before resolving disputed charge.
I contacted Ace to dispute of $13.54 charge from 5.11, Inc, of [protected] on May 20 at approximately 3pm. I asked the representative to research why this charge was on my acct, since it did not originate from me. Her only offer was to close the account and order a new card. I was familiar with that offer and told her "do not close my account" I will research the company myself since Ace is not going to.
I hung the phone up to contact 5.11, Inc., for reimbursement. My phone alert text came through at that moment said "your Flare Card ending in 1705 has been reported stolen."
Instead of contacting 5.11, Inc., I now had to called back to talk to a Supervisor because there was no account open to accept the reimbursement. The supervisor said her name was "Tessa" and could not give me a last name. Tessa said that once the card was compromised, the representative had to close it. I said should she have closed it even though I asked her not to. Tessa said MsLessie I can give you a money gram. When I asked for what, she responded "the money left in your account." I said "Now you want to close my account?' My question to you Tessa is why cant Ace dispute the account instead of closing it. Her answer was the $13.54 had not been collected by the 5.11, Inc. I had to give them 24 hours before I could dispute the charge. I requested that Tessa order me a new card, attach a Next Day Air to it so that I get it in time to pay my bills and give me an email to her complaint department. She asked me for my phone number and said her complaint department would contact me within a few business days. I researched Meta Bank's complaints and found www.complaintsboard.com/new_complaint. When I told Tessa my balance had changed from from 93.99 to 80.45 before making the first call, she repeated arrogantly that I still had to wait 24 hours before calling back.
In the past disputed charges were reported as stolen cards, therefore disputed charges plus the $25.00 for Next Day Air.
Desired outcome: Requesting a written apology from the representative plus the $13.54 swallowed up by the closed account and Next Day Air restored to Acct.
Holding up my funds up!!
My account was lock up on April 9, 2022, netspend and metabank won't tell me why? I need my money to pay my bills, and they left me out to dry, so I cancel my account, they tried to mess with me over 2 weeks, I call and call no one would help out just give me a hard time! after 6 or 8 call's they said we will send you a check in the mail, I'm so sick of them in Austin, Tx netspend people they can't speak English at all, hard to get anything done, now it happen again may 6, 2022, the social security administration was to mail my check and they direct deposit to my cancel account and is still sitting there, metabank, will not make a check out and mail it to me, that was my full social security check for May, I need it now, can't buy any food or anything, I'm just about out, so, I call up the social security fraud hotline to make them give my full amount of my check, no luck! so, far.

I purchased a Visa debit from local Stop& shop for $500, went home put it in my drawer. Took it out 9 May to register it & low & behold someone had already used the entire $500 purchasing Google "like me" BS items. Can't get someone on the phone, don't know how to file a complaint. Never again ppl DO NOT BUY A GIFT CARD MALL DEBIT CARD. Google is useless trying to get some info & results only to pass the buck like Stop & shop Best buy, Google

meta bank has allowed someone to steal money from me electronically took me through a long investigation process they really was just extending time and still came back to deny my disputes' 3,900 gone under they so called protection service .nobody eveer had my card it was always on me at all times noone ever seen my card so money was being taken from me while the card was in only my possession. they came up with an excuse after my claim was approve for refunding saying there was an error and they had to take the refund back.i called they other so called team at card services and those people said there was no error. I was first told i will have my funds back in 7to 10 days then they lied saying there was an error after sending me a letter saying that my claims were approved to be refunded and im able to use my funds .well that was another lie they mailed out cards that they had already closed before arriving they closed my account also which was strange .this company should have alerted me on any transactions that was made and the failed to do so even though I signed up to be alerted .This company blame me for making these charges the was one charge made while i was in bed and said atm withdrawal which I still want to know how these transactions happened at different locations at the same time and was listed as atm .this money that was stolen belonged to my kids the nerve of this scamming [censored] company the employees and so called manager are useless and complete liars .I'm start to that it was them that took my money they need to be out of business!they also told me that I'm not getting my money back and there's nothing I can do about it. Hi, my name is Andrea. I am currently a netspend cardholder but unfortunately they bank through Metabank. So my issue is that I can not reach a live rep regarding my very urgent issue, something that is very time effective so now i have to wait on an e-mail response while praying that i get that. However my issue is that i filed my tax return February 8,2022 electronically through Turbo Tax. The IRS deposited my funds to Metabank on Wednesday March 16,2022 and somehow along the way my account number is short 3 digits but my routing number is correct. Therefore this is going to cause Netspend to reject my return sending it back to the IRS whom will then issue me a paper check at there earliest disposal. This has had me in such a panic since I myself discovered the error several days ago and have been since contacting through e-mail, phone and community groups online all parties involved which consist of the IRS, Turbo Tax,Metabank, and Netspend with no response other than its not on them or to contact someone else or some sort of other bad news. So my thing is, this could have possibly been resolved or never an issue if Turbo Tax would have caught the issue before submitting it to the IRS. Also this could have been prevented if the IRS would have caught the issue especially considering they reduced my refund amount so they had to redo things anyways (however turns out they made a mistake bc they owe me that money, but i'll save that for another time). And lastly, if only I were able to get through to a live representative that could fix this 3 second issue that only consist of my account number being short 3 digits then my (5)children & I wouldn't have to continue experiencing being homeless considering we were recently evicted with no where to go and no funds to help along the way. That is why my tax return was so crucial to our lives at this time, it would have got my children and I off the streets. This is so ridiculous and just so beyond me, i just dont even know which way to turn anymore. I filed my taxes February 26 was supposed to get a refund march 3 of 2021…. The bank closed my account without telling me…..after a year I finally just got off the phone with a supervisor who told me it’s not her problem and good luck trying to get the money…..Mary Beth and Jason from customer service thank you for being so lazy and careless I hope all of this happens to you. Horrible bank with a extremely bad staff…. The supervisors are a joke as well.
HRBlock refund for direct deposit
My tax return was paid on Feb 16th. Two weeks ago. However, I still have not received it from HR block!
After I submitted accurate bank info, HRBlock added their own account and routing number.
They sent my money somewhere else and refuse to acknowledge this or help me find it.
It's not my bank info. It's metabanks routing number.
I've called so many times and no one will help me find it

Wiring
I wired some money to a friends account. Paid $30 for a same day wire to hit their account. MetaBank has not processed the wire even though they have been sitting on the money/wire for five business days. It's a sad day when you wire money to someone's account and this bank - Metabank won't process it in to the intended recipient for days later. I wonder if this is one of the banks scams to draw interest off other people money by holding it for the maximum allowable days. This bank is pathetic!
Desired outcome: The 30 processing fee should be returned, any fees the recipient may have been charged for anything related to their account should be refunded, and this bank should be held accountable for holding up wire transfers.
Direct deposit
I would like to know where is my money from my refund check that was sent to by the IRS you on Feb 22 and why it is not in my account my, account number is ##########8061 and my Routing number is [protected]. I would like to know why it is taking so long to get my check deposit in to my account.
Pre paid $50 Visa Card was not loaded.
I received 2 $50 pre paid Visa Cards. The 1st one I activated was fine. Today I activated the 2nd one and it was never loaded with the money.
These were cards issued by you for the Marlboro Rewards program.

Refund Transfer
Metabank, NA took $1068 of my tax refund on either 02/23/2022 or 02/24/2022. I began contacting them and HR Block on 02/23/2022 when I only received $2066 of my $3258 refund. I was initially told that it was probably a scam because allegedly at the time of my calls they had not even received my deposit from the IRS despite me having the confirmation deposit. After getting the runarounds for two days, I was finally able to confirm today through HR Block that they transferred the money to an Emerald Savings account because they said that I had an Emerald Advance. The advance is not even available in my state of NC so I know for certain that I did not get an advance during this season as accused. Also, they were not able to provide me with dates, amounts of the advance, etc. which makes it even more suspect.
I have found multiple complaints in which others are complaining about them scamming others as well. I did find a notation in my order summary I received after I filed my taxes that stated the the following: "If you have an outstanding Emerald Advance balance, a portion of your refund might be used to pay it as well as other amounts you authorize". It automatically struck me as odd because in general something like this should be disclosed BEFORE transactions are completed and not AFTER the transaction is finalized (can't be legal). This leads me to believe that they are in fact creating fraudulant claims in order to take money from people then try to use the disclosure to cover themselves.
I am not calling them anymore to keep getting the runarounds. I want some answers and I want my $1068.
Desired outcome: Please refund my $1068 ASAP.
The same issue happened to me on 2/24/22. I received a refund from the IRS in the amount of $4,493 and only received $3,180. I was told that I had request and Emerald Advance Card in November, which I never did. I have gotten different stories every time I call. As of today, I have not gotten an answered where my money went to or been able to resolve the issue. I wish someone could help us get our complete refund money.
Serve Debit Card
I purchased a Serve Debit card months ago. The card was activated properly. I have never been able to use it anywhere. When I check my balance I had $170.00 that I had opened the card with. This month I show a balance of 166.05. They sent me a new card because the valid time ran out on the first card. The new card # is [protected] . I have sent emails to serve.com without any answer. I sent letters to Serve without any answers. What I want is my money back. I tried using atm's without but that didn't work either.

Mastercard gift card
I received Mastercard gift card U$500 as gift from employer in Dec. 2020. I started using Dec. 2021 and it worked for (2) online purchases. In Jan. 2021 I attempted to use to pay in European site (Rakuten.fr) and it wasn't accepted so I used other credit card. Just after though when I tried to use for another U.S. purchase online and it was not recognized. Website/phone# on back of card wasn't helpful. Card not recognized. Emailed issuer then called and they weren't particularly helpful, just offered two more numbers to try, both of which failed. I received a message "there is an issue with the card. Please return to place of purchase or person who gifted to you" which is my employer, I do the accounting and have the receipt. I didn't try that yet, seemed like extreme measure. Please help, this is extremely disappointing situation! The card has been in my possession this whole time with no fraudulent use.

Gift card never mailed after 7 weeks
I order a Norwegian Cruise Line gift card for my mom for Christmas on December 11, 2021. Was advised it would take 10-14 days to receive via email confirmation. I received a second email confirmation on December 13,2021 stating the same delivery window. Finally, I received a third email confirmation that looked even more official on January 4, 2022 but still no confirmation number. It’s been 7 weeks since my original order, my card has been charged the payment, and yet Metabank confirmed today they still haven’t shipped the card. It took over an hour for Norwegian to work with Metabank and acting on my mom’s behalf and Metabank couldn’t confirm if it could be expedited or advise when they would ship it. They also wouldn’t give the confirmation number or internal tracking number…just advised they could see it was processed and not shipped.
This is very unprofessional, and Metabank is well outside the 10-14 day window.
My mom leaves for her cruise in early February and isn’t going to have the card. She was supposed to have it to book excursions but that time has already passed and she had to come out of pocket. She will not be able to cruise again within the year at which point this company will start charging fees. Completely unacceptable. I ordered this card 2 months before her cruise and we are 7 weeks in and have no idea if/when Metabank will finally deliver. This was a large gift card that is going to go to waste. Very disappointed in Metabank and Norwegian for even using such an unreliable company. Screenshots of confirmation emails with dates below.
Desired outcome: I want the card overnighted and in my mom’s possession ASAP, or I want my money refunded immediately.
Excessive fees
I received a card with $75 on it as a rebate from a purchase. The card expired so they charged $10 to send another. I thought the card was lost so I called and reported it lost. I found it and called back to let them know. The new card had not been issued but the still charged me another $10 even though a new card was not sent out yet I was told they had to send me new one and they could not use the one I had in my hands. Now I must wait for them to send another card with $55 on it. I have not used the card yet they have charged me $20 in fees. I have been charged 26.66 % in fees.
Desired outcome: Refund of part of fees.
