I was a member with them for 5 years and was earning points and using them for $10 Microsoft cards and Amazon. Then this month they remove my phone number without my approval and you need a code to be texted for you to put in when you redeem your points. I tried to re add my number but it wouldn't let me. I contacted support and they were no help, expected me to use a family member number or neighbor or friend except you need to have that phone with you when you redeem your points so you can put in the code.

I get they want to prevent fraud and abuse but their strict policies are also banning innocent users who have done nothing wrong. I don't use a VPN and never have for rewards, I never traveled out of the country and used it, I never used any bots or scripts for searches and don't know how to, I have only used one MS account for everything; computer, rewards, Office, one drive, email, my game I play. I also use my mobile phone I have from AT&T. I use that phone as my home phone and for all my accounts.

I have other people in my home with MS accounts. I have created one for my kids when we got them windows laptops and I introduced them to rewards so they can earn points as well for Robux, my husband has one for his PC. My parents have one too for their email and computers. I assume this is what triggered my phone number removal because they cannot tell between multiple people in the same household with their own MS account.

MS rewards is a joke. Don't bother with it. Waste of your time if you will get suspended or soft banned.

Desired outcome: Please let me add my number again or change your policy by letting people redeem without having to use a phone.
