4/28 I got lots of calls saying I owed money
4/28 I got lots of calls saying I owed money. I called my workplace, but they wouldn't give me anything in writing about the money owed. They just kept talking and talking on the phone.

Business called my workplace, which I never listed
Business called my workplace, which I never listed. Now I'm facing disciplinary action over a personal call. I don't know how this business got my employment information as I never gave it to them. Now I'm facing serious disciplinary action because of this. It was seen as a personal call, which goes against company policy.

Highly recommended, but caution will not hurt.
I got a call from this guy named Bill *** while I was at my job
I got a call from this guy named Bill *** while I was at my job. He told me that I couldn't take calls at work, but then he called me at work again. I told him that I couldn't take calls at work, but he didn't listen. He wanted me to pay him, but I told him that I couldn't pay the full amount right away. I said I could make payments, but he said no. I told him that I couldn't work because I had covid and I didn't have any money. But he didn't care and kept demanding payment. He even threatened to sue me and take money from my wages if I didn't pay right away. He even bothered my wife about the debt, but she told him the same thing and he still didn't want to make a deal with her.
She keeps calling my job, even though she has been told not to
She keeps calling my job, even though she has been told not to. Becky *** called my job around the middle of June. I happened to be the person that answered the phone and I told her then that I cannot receive calls at work and not to call there again. She called my job again later that same day. Then she called AGAIN a few days later and yet again yesterday (7/27). If she continues to keep calling my job, I'm going to get into trouble! I do have 2 co-workers that have answered the phone and can verify that she called me there. I received my first letter from them on May 13 and another one on June 11 and nothing since then, but I made a payment in June. If she calls my cell phone, she doesn't leave any messages.
This company is really hard to work with
This company is really hard to work with. Their customer service is terrible. This collection company called me and said that I had a bill in collections. I asked for a bill, but they said they already sent one, even though I never got it, and they didn't want to send any more communication. I told them that if they sent a bill, I would pay it. I also wanted to check them out before paying over the phone. They were so rude. They kept saying that I didn't want to resolve the debt, even though I did and never said otherwise. I just wanted verification. They gave me a website and said I had to call back within 30 minutes. I did that. I told them I could make a payment in a week's time. But they refused, threatened me with more action, and said I had to pay $*** today or not call back until I could pay in full.
Made a big payment on a bill with understanding for a payment plan on the rest of the balance
Made a big payment on a bill with understanding for a payment plan on the rest of the balance. Collection agency backed out on agreement. Bill for surgery $*** sent to Midwest service bureau Paid $*** on 8/3. I proposed to pay $*** every 2 weeks. I had successfully previously paid off a different medical bill with another collection agency with this same agreement. Midwest Service Bureau refused this proposal at this time. Paid $*** on 8-21 to make remaining balance $***. The account manager Lynn at this time said with this payment that my proposal of $*** every 2 weeks would be enough. Their phone calls have a disclaimer that the 'calls are recorded' so it is my hope that Midwest Service Bureau can produce this phone call Paid $*** dollars on 9/4 without any disagreement by Midwest Service Bureau Attempted to pay $*** on 9-18. Midwest refused my payment. Lengthy conversation. They said that I "misunderstood agreement, that is no agreement" something like that...call should be recorded according to Midwest Disclaimer. I spoke to another representative there, unsure of name. This representative also refused to take my payment and phone call ended.
A lady named Connie called my employer's HR, posing as a cop with urgent info for me
A lady named Connie called my employer's HR department, posing as a police officer, claiming she had urgent information for me. My HR manager refused to disclose any employee information. Instead, she offered to take Connie's contact details and forward them to me. I received the information and promptly called, only to discover it was a debt collection agency, not a police department. I requested to speak with a supervisor, and a lady named Sue responded. She wrongfully accused me of lying about a debt and attempted to verify my personal details, but it turned out they had the wrong person! She was discourteous, never apologized, and abruptly ended the call. I was appalled. Upon researching the company, I found numerous similar grievances. Their actions are unethical and likely unlawful.
On May 26th around 10:30am, I called this business to discuss an account I was making payments on
On May 26th around 10:30am, I called this business to discuss an account I was making payments on. The way the payment came out of my bank account made me think there was an error. Shelly was the original representative I spoke to and she helped me set everything up, so I asked for her specifically. I got transferred a few times until I ended up with William, who said he was the collection manager. I started explaining why I called, but William immediately became rude and told me they already explained everything when I set up the payment. I told him I understood that, but I didn't expect the payment to come out of my account like a check, and it came out on a Wednesday instead of Friday. He interrupted me again to say they already explained this to me. Then he brought up another account I have in court and said my attorney wouldn't confirm or deny if they represent me. I told him I did receive an email from them, asking for a letter stating they want the information and what they'll do with it, and that I need to go to the office to sign a release. He kept interrupting and arguing with me, not listening to what I was trying to say. I told him he was being rude and not letting me explain. We continued arguing until I hung up because it wasn't going anywhere. I understand they're a collection agency, but treating people poorly is unacceptable. I am paying them, but I can't control what my attorney wants from them to verify their appearance. This was a truly terrible experience.
Bill from Midwest Service Bureau has been bothering me about my medical debt.
Bill from Midwest Service Bureau has been bothering me for the past two months about my medical bill. He calls me many times a day at all hours and even on weekends. I tried to arrange a payment plan, but there was a misunderstanding. Despite my polite and professional attempts, he verbally abused me, threatened me, and was condescending in every conversation. He uses inappropriate language and blames me for the situation due to my unpaid balance. He gave me a three-day deadline to find the money, suggesting I ask family, friends, charities, and coworkers for help. He claims to work for the agency and threatens to personally ensure the payment is made. He insists other representatives have tried to assist me, but I have only spoken with him. His actions have worsened my financial situation as I am just starting to recover. His behavior is unacceptable, and I intend to report him to the authorities.
