I had a really bad experience at Mohegan Sun. The people in charge were always watching and staring at me, especially when I was winning. It made me feel like they thought I was doing something wrong, even though I wasn't. They would follow me around to every table I went to. If I was doing something illegal, they would have asked me to leave, right? I can't help but think it's because I'm a person of color. Another lady told me she gets treated the same way when she comes here. We spend our money here just like everyone else, so we shouldn't be harassed because of our race.

Makes me wonder what happens to folks who call the front desk at this place. What's goin' on at Mohegan Sun? Y'all need to step it up and make this a good experience for my crew. I've been a customer at Mohegan Sun for 15 years now. Since Covid hit our nation, Mohegan has gone downhill. As a high roller, my visits to Mohegan Sun have gotten worse and worse. It's like a circus now. They let anyone in who has a dime and treat them like they're worth a million bucks. Every hallway smells like weed. It's disgusting. The people who stay at Mohegan Sun for free are the scum of the earth. On my most recent trip last night, my kids kept asking me, "What's that smell?" I told them it was herbs. Anyways, not only was the place filled with low-class people who smoked weed and vaped right in front of me, but my room was unsafe. First off, the crib they brought us for my 10-month-old was broken. We found out the next morning. I didn't think I would have to check a crib. I should have, and I feel awful. Secondly, my son tried to touch one of the lights and it shattered. Thank God he only had a minor cut. I documented my experience and will go further to expose Mohegan Sun. I thought it would be fine to buy them and return them if I changed my mind. But today, when I tried to exchange them, I was told that all sales were final since they reopened. I didn't see any signs about this policy, and it wasn't mentioned on the receipt or website. I'm upset that I wasn't informed about this before making a big purchase. I searched everywhere for signs, but couldn't find any. I never used the items and understand the need for social distancing, but most stores are accepting returns now. If I knew about this policy, I wouldn't have shopped there. They also said it's a permanent change, but the sign doesn't say that.

I'm 66 years old and disabled, so I always forget to remove my players club card usually after the first machine, but that's not a big deal to me. As we were almost ready to leave, I was playing a little bit on one machine and decided to go to another one, which kept spitting out my ticket. So, I went to one last machine, and I was shocked when it said I only had 15 cents on there. I called for service. They were able to check the machine and verify that I had indeed put in a ticket with 68 dollars on it - just as I had told them. So, I thought, this is good because they will refund my money - which is now at $61.15. Then, unbelievably, they refused to reimburse me. So, I asked for the manager, who also refused to reimburse me and was very rude and demeaning to me. They made up all kinds of excuses - like they didn't have the money or someone else probably used it. However, I was in a small room and had kept my eye on these machines, and nobody did use them. They also have cameras all over but didn't offer to check those. Neither did they agree to see if at the end of the day, they came out ahead by that amount. I felt totally humiliated. I don't mind losing - and I had lost 200 dollars. But why in God's name would I make up such a piddling amount? As usual, it really is the principle of the thing. All I ask for is my 61.15 returned to me. I'm also going to file a complaint with the gaming commission.

On Friday, February 5, me and my wife were at the casino for the day. We went down the escalator and my sneaker got stuck in the teeth at the bottom. Luckily, I wasn't hurt and managed to get my foot out. The sneaker was stuck, so my wife went to get help. Security and other staff members came to assist. They were able to remove the sneaker by taking off the plate from the escalator. They had to use pliers to fix the teeth on the plate before putting it back on the escalator. The guys helping me said I could get reimbursed for my sneakers. They were $200 and only worn three times. The soles were air-filled, so one sneaker got deflated and ruined. I just wanted a new pair of shoes. They told me to call Risk Management and I spoke with Heather. She was dismissive and said it wasn't their fault, so they wouldn't refund the sneakers. She claimed there were no issues with the escalator, but there clearly was on that day, which should have been reported. We have pictures and they supposedly have video evidence. There's no way this is my fault. At least one of the teeth on the escalator must have been sticking up to catch and puncture the thick sole of the sneaker. I tried to contact Mary Lou M, the director of Risk Management, through voicemail and email, but didn't receive a response. I don't think this is how customers should be treated, especially considering what could have happened. Luckily, I wasn't injured, but my sneakers are ruined. All I'm asking for is to be reimbursed so I can buy a new pair. It's clear that this isn't my fault and they should take responsibility and compensate me.
