I am a long time customer. They maintain (and installed) my two AC systems, as well as my boiler. Today's visit was annual tune-up of AC for summer. As usual, on time, thorough, professional and pandemic conscious.

Moncrief was the only hvac company we could get to our house on a weekend. It was no problem for them to get here and get here fast. Jody did an amazing job and was so friendly. We now have our air conditioning back! Yay!

Estimator was very experienced and professional. Answered all our questions about choices of equipment etc. The two installers arrived on time , were organized and worked hard all day in an area w/o air conditioning. Cleaned up area well before they left. Was very pleased with their work which was done at a fair price.

I'm warm and happy. Old furnace motor is fixed, and they discovered a corrosion problem with the flue that could leak dangerous gasses - not part of svc contract but cost was reasonable to fix. Knocked off a star because initial inspector didn't diagnose a problem with noisy motor. Moncrief was fine with sending another tech out pronto when I called.

Memorial Day and AC clogged drain flooding! Called Moncrief and a technician was sent out immediately. No price gouging or extra charges. Technician was courteous, professional, personable and protected with face mask and gloves in prep of Covid. Work done quickly and efficiently at a reasonable price. Have just become a loyal Montcrief customer!

Moncrief does excellent work and makes everything very easy. They are helpful about scheduling and the customer service is friendly. I appreciate being able to track the location of technicians who are on their way to my house. And the same person has been out at least twice over time so he's a familiar face. They also keep detailed records of any work completed or anticipated.

We been using Moncrief for our HVAC stuff for years. They came out on 6/29/22 for routine stuff and nothing major, just had to replace a thing on our downstairs unit. A month later, we saw a light flashing and our upstairs unit wasn't cooling as good (nothing major), so we had them come back out on 7/28/22 to check it out. The tech said we needed a new thing on our upstairs unit, which he replaced, and that our Freon levels were a little low so he added more (he did this before telling me). Since we just had routine stuff, the tech said he wouldn't charge us for the thing or Freon, so he didn't charge us and even wrote on the note that we refused the thing so no one would ask questions. After that, the upstairs thing worked better for about *** hours, but then it stopped working completely. We called Moncrief back out the next day (7/30/22), and they said the thing was now leaking and we had to fix it or replace the whole system. When we told them the other tech had just added Freon 24-hrs before, even the Moncrief tech said he'd never seen anything like it and that there was too much Freon added causing it to break so bad and fast. Now we're being quoted $3.7K for parts only to fix the thing (which is on back order with no ETA) or $7K-$10K for a new system. We have 2 little kids and another baby coming, and we have no AC in our bedrooms in Georgia summer all because of something an AC tech did. We really need some help - it's not right that we have to pay for this when we had a perfectly good AC that got messed up from routine stuff.

Moncrief HVAC tricked us on the diagnostic charge and gave us bad service. I called them on April 8th 'cause our AC wasn't working (they put it in a few years ago) and asked how much it'd be to check it out. I set up an appointment for Friday the 9th between 2-6pm. On Thursay the 8th at 4:15pm they called me and said they were on their way, a day early without telling me. They said the diagnostic fee was $119. I asked how much labor would be and they said the tech would tell me after finding the problem. The tech came and after 30 mins said he couldn't find the problem and we were being charged $57 every 15 mins. I told him I was told it'd be $119 for the diagnostic testing. He said it's only for the first 15 mins and then $57 every 15 mins after that. He also said he wished the office would tell customers that. He couldn't fix it 'cause he wasn't comfy with our system so a supervisor came. They recommended a repair that wasn't guaranteed. They charged us $233 for that service call. They said they'd order a part (under warranty) but we'd be charged labor to fix it. They said we'd have to pay over $175 to have used part shipped to Carrier, the manufacturer, to have it covered under warranty. We only let them stay 'cause it's hot and we needed the AC. They weren't honest about the diagnostic cost even after I asked. We asked for a manager to call us but they didn't. We've used them before without issues but this service is terrible and we shouldn't be charged since we need another HVAC to fix the same issue.
