R & S Mechanical I always get thorough and polite service from R&S

I always get thorough and polite service from R&S. Today my mechanic, John, went over everything with me and was alert to the conditions of my heater and around my house in general. I have used this company for ten years or more and believe my system is in good hands.

called and arrive within the window I was given. At the end of the service he left all files of all parameters he checked. He gave me a summary of the findings and what it may mean in the future. I will use them R&S in the future.

I feel bamboozled after dealing with this company. My "broken" AC ended up being a matter of a simple breaker needing to be flipped back on. Seemed to me like the $119 weekend service charge would've been sufficient to cover the technician's time and expertise in identifying the problem. Nope, turns out they charged $132 for the guy to flip the switch back on for me. When I was standing right there when he did it, and it was NEVER communicated that this "repair" would be an additional charge. It didn't even occur to me that someone would charge for that or I would've asked before he flipped it back on and told him not to, that I would "fix" the problem myself. As mentioned, I appreciate his time and expertise for what ended up being a simple problem. But I can't support or recommend a company that charges $132 to flip a switch without any prior communication to the customer that the charge would be incurred. In fact, I would encourage potential customers to seek a more honest and customer-focused provider.

Very satisfied with R&S Mechanical for making a second trip to check my system. The technician did a fine job and explained that with the newer system, the units are working properly and the check does not take as long as with an older system. I appreciate the technician's upfront commitment to quality care.

As always, the tech was super professional, courteous, safe, and fast. He made recommendations about my system, that seemed very appropriate for the age, so I never get the feeling they are trying to sell something just to be selling it. I am a very happy R&S customer, going on three years now.

and the R&S Mechanical Team are OUTSTANDING at customer service. Their technicians are personable, respectful for the home and courteous. *** provided a professional assessment, several options and recommendation, timely service outline and followed up after installation of the new HVAC unit. We have had a contract with them for over two years now after picking up the former homeowners recommendation...they sat down with us and brought us up to speed with previous years information...hands down A GREAT group/business if you are looking for a team to partner in the care and maintenance of your home.

While they had to put this appointment off a couple of times, R&S was good about giving prompt notice (so I could plan to work on other projects). Once here, *** went straight to the roof to begin assessing the issues we were having with three of our roof top HVAC units. He was dilligent, thorough, and fully explaned what he'd done, what we needed, and what we could do without (if necessary). I particularly appreciated the follow-up e-mails with the summary and pertinent details. Thanks for your good work! -

R & S Mechanical I was very pleased with the A/C check-up by R & S Mechanical

I was very pleased with the A/C check-up by R & S Mechanical. He explained everything he was doing and went over the results with me. There was one out of specification part, but no pressure to do anything about it immediately. He was happy to let me think about whether I wanted to replace it or hold off and do it another time.

R&S Mechanical technician arrived on time and performed a maintenance check on the dual A/C systems. He discussed the issues he found with me and clearly explained the immediate repairs that needed to be made. He also discussed several options for additional repairs that need to be done but were not urgent. He was very knowledgeable. I will get the additional work done with R&S Mechanical and will request Mr. [technician's name].

R & S Mechanical Called them at 2pm when my AC broke, they were at my house 2 hours later

Called them at 2pm when my AC broke, they were at my house 2 hours later. After it was determined I needed a part and the store would be closed next day for a Friday holiday, my tech ran to store before they closed, got the part and returned same day to fix it. If he didn't go above and beyond my family with 2 little kids and 2 elderly parents would have gone 4 days with no AC during a North Carolina summer heat wave. Thank you !

R&S Mechanical has continued to be a fine company to work with. John Smith is our regular technician and he is thorough and straightforward. The office staff are always willing to help and reach out politely and will work with clients to schedule and pay for plans in an easy to understand manner. I appreciate their flexibility and professionalism. Their prices remain competitive with other vendors in the area, but their customer services drastically increases their value.

R & S Mechanical technicians arrive today (April 28) to do service maintenance on the AC unit to prepare it for the summer.

The technician did a thorough job of evaluating my AC system. He noticed that the unit pulled high amps on starting and said this will cause excess wear on the copper wiring. He recommended installing a type of capacitor that would correct this situation (initial amps was 111 but after new part installed it pulled 64 amps on starting; this will extend the life of the compressor).

R & S Mechanical came out to service our HVAC, and check our vents for mold in the crawl space. The technician was very helpful and knowledgeable and put our minds at ease! He told us what we needed to do. We are newbies in the NC area, dealing with different problems than up north, so it was a delight to talk to someone who knew what was going on in the crawlspace and he actually fixed our dryer vent which was contributing to the sweating of the vents! Great company, great employee! And for me.. no mold! Excellent service!

The team at R & S Mechanical did a great job on a recent project in Pembroke, NC. It was a very challenging project that I wouldn't have brought any other company in on. He pulled me out of hole! As a manufacturer's rep, I have my choice of several walk-in installers in my territory. My first choice is R & S Mechanical. The owner and company have done several projects for our company and he has always shown professionalism and stellar follow up. I am comfortable bringing R & S into any job. Highly recommended.

R & S Mechanical R&S Mechanical and the rest of the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating

R&S Mechanical and the rest of the staff could not have been more helpful and accommodating. Everyone that I dealt with was honest, friendly, and professional. They really went the extra mile to help me through every step in the process, from the technician's initial diagnosis, to discussions of purchase options and installation, including helping me process paperwork with my insurance company. After everything was installed, the technician came back to my house for a follow up inspection and helped me program my new thermostat and phone app. I have had a service contract with R&S Mechanical for 10 years, and they have always been great to work with. I would definitely recommend them.

R & S Mechanical Have used a few HVAC companies for the past several years for my real estate clients

Have used a few HVAC companies for the past several years for my real estate clients. While some were better than others, I have never felt that I have the best company. This was until I found R & S Mechanical. Their way of doing business from start to finish is very organized and professional. Recently, a client had an AC concern with a house he was buying. I reached out to R & S Mechanical and I was met by a customer service rep asking how they could help. Within minutes, my clients were set up with an appointment which was a relief. On our appointment day, I received a call from the technician, John Doe letting me know that he would be at the home in 30 minutes and what do you know, within 30 minutes, he was there. He was polite and took the time to discuss what needed to be done, completed the job and Left after a "Thank you" for choosing R & S Mechanical.
I highly recommend R & S Mechanical for all realtors and home owners as they are true professionals. Five stars!

R & S Mechanical R&S Mechanical replaced my HVAC system on 10/15

R&S Mechanical replaced my HVAC system on 10/15. In the process of the replacement, their technicians broke a pipe above my water heater. I had to keep the water shut off and call a professional plumber for emergency maintenance. R&S also incorrectly installed the HVAC and had to come back and fix it later. R&S's account manager assured me that R&S would reimburse me for the plumber and also inspect the final installation to make sure everything was set. In 6 months I still have never gotten the final inspection. Additionally, after 11 emails including my plumber receipt, two calls on March 11 and March 29 where I was assured management would call me the next day to resolve the issue (they did not), I'm still waiting for my reimbursement.
