I visited one of your stores on Wednesday evening (7th October) to do some grocery shopping and to collect a DPD parcel, I asked the lady on the checkout where I could collect this from she directEd me to the click & collect point in the car park, there was nobody around so I re-entered the store, where I spoke with the security guard who also told me to go back to the car park I explained there was nobody there so he took me to the customer service desk I spoke to Liz and explained I had a parcel to collect she asked me for my name and again told me I need to go back out to the car park I said I'd already been out there twice and no staff present so she said she'd inform one of her colleagues I'd be there, I waited in the cold, dark and rain for around 10 minutes when a man arrived with crates of food shopping, I told him I hadn't ordered any food it was a dpd parcel he again directed me back to customer service, when I went back to speak to Liz she said that she "assumed" I'd ordered food even though I'd said "parcel" she then said I needed to show her a utility bill when I said I didn't have one she said "you know like a water bill, I explained I am fully aware of what a utility bill is but I do not just carry them around with me she then said she wasn't able to give my parcel I showed her the message I had received from DPD which contained a QR code and stated that was all I needed to present in order to collect my parcel, she did eventually give me the parcel but was very ill mannered, patronising and unhelpful. I left the store cold, wet & disgruntled. What should have been a quick trip to the shop had taken over an hour which I had to source a babysitter for.
As a regular shopper at Morrison's I have otherwise found it to be a good store, unfortunately the attitude of the customer service has put me off revisiting your store & I will now be doing my weekly shop elsewhere.
