Credit card charged but order not received
I placed an order 09-06-11. I received one item out of the order. On 11-2-11 I sent an email to customer service asking about the status. No response. I sent another email 11-11-11. On 12-1-11 I received a response saying they were having a problem getting the items from the distributor. I was told I could cancel the order and get a refund. On 12-5-11 I requested they cancel the order and give me a refund. This was ignored. On 1-11-12 I sent another email. This was ignored. I sent another email today 2-29-12. I expect it to be ignored. I will never use this site again.
I would never order from them again
I ordered some products from the website, and received a partial order fairly quickly. My credit card was charged for the full order amount. The account information available online indicated that the balance of the order had shipped, and that I'd been notified by email, which was not true. I waited a couple weeks, and never received the order. I was unable to reach anyone at their phone number, so I posted a "lost shipment" notice on my account on the website. The online response to that referred me to their policy which indicated that refunds were "at their discretion". I then filed a merchant complaint with my credit card company for a charge-back. In the meantime I reviewed online reviews of this company and found numerous instances from consumers who had experienced the same situation. I believe this is intentional behavior on the part of the company. I would never order from them again.
I do 98% of my shopping online and this is the WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE so far. This company will not answer any of the 8 help desk questions I have submitted. I placed the order almost a month ago. There is NO WAY TO CONTACT MOTHERNATURE.COM except to use their "help desk". Their phone number is a recording that states that operators for NEW ORDERS cannot help with exsisting orders! LOL! Their website contains NO CONTACT INFO except the worthless "help desk". YOU COULD NOT PAY ME TO EVER ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY AGAIN!
Beware of this company--they offer discounted prices on their health products, but you cannot get a hold of them once your order has been placed and you never get it! They have an online Ask a Question Customer service form which is the only way they provide, but you will get no response. It's upsetting! My account information shows no shipping status after more than 22 days! I've filed a dispute with my credit card company to refund me and cancel my order. Buy from them at your own risk!
Mothernature.com ought to be avoided at ALL costs. Thought the website looks nice, and the checkout process is relatively easy, this business intends to leave you, the customer, in the dark, waiting for your order to arrive, even though your credit card has been charged.
I ordered two items that were apparently "in stock". I paid over $9.00 for standard shipping. 10 days from my order date, nothing has been shipped. The status of my order states "warehouse processing". To inquire about my order, I have to complete and online form that goes unanswered. It is impossible to speak to mothernature.com on the phone. The 800 number brings you to only two places: submitting an order over-the-phone OR an automated message telling you to seek assistance online. It is impossible to speak to mothernature.com on the phone. This is NOT a coincidence. They want you in the dark.
Simply put, mothernature.com does not honor their customers. In fact, they have no intention of delivering you merchandise you have PAID for. This is a business that deserves to be shut down. Here's why:
1. They ignore their customers.
2. Their website is full of lies. Items appear to be "in stock", though are not ready to be shipped to any person who pays for them. This is deceitful.
3. They offer different shipping options which cost different amounts, but you cannot expect your order to arrive in the time you paid for. Mothernature.com will not account for this; they SHOULD refund you for shipping costs if it's not shipped by the promised date. However, this is a greedy business, so they do not value you or your money.
4. They do not regard consumers' FTC rights.
People who prefer honorable businesses should steer clear of mothernature.com. You cannot, under any circumstances, shop with confidence here.
I placed an order on October 22, 2017 for 5 items from Mothernature.com. I never did receive a confirmation e-mail but when I went to the site I did see that the order was received so I thought everything was OK. A week later I went to the site and there was no change in status so I sent them a note requesting info on my order, there's no other way to contact the company. Well, they never did answer that e-mail even-though it said on their site to expect a reply within 3 days. I think I have sent a total of 5 questions asking when I can expect my order. There is one answer that was never sent to my e-mail but did show up on their site stating that they do not have the items in stock so they requested that the manufacturer send them directly to me, I should have them in 1-2 weeks. Well, it is November 28th, 38 days later, and still no product or change in status. Oh, here is the best part, they charge your credit card IMMEDIATELY even-though they don't have the product to send you. I hoped to get the items but it appears that I will have to contest the charge with my credit card company. AWFUL!
There is a law to protect you, the Fair Credit Billing Act. Go through your credit card company for resolution. Many credit card issuers have policies against merchants charging a credit card account before shipment. If you think a merchant charged your account prematurely, report it to the credit card issuer. Otherwise, the credit card issuer has no way to know that the merchant is not complying with its policies. I would also reccommed filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission. Here is some info on your rights: http://www.ftc.gov/bcp/edu/pubs/consumer/credit/cre28.shtm
Also, post your experience with the company on as many places on the web as you can to warn others not to do business with them. This seems to be a repetitive problem with this company from what I can see online.
My complaint is similar to the others. I have ordered from this vendor several times without a problem, however, this is the last time. I ordered several things 9 weeks ago and have yet to receive them. My credit card was billed immediately. They say they can not cancel an order once it has gone to the warehouse. It has been 'processing at the warehouse' for weeks. So far they have been responding to my emails which is the only way to contact them. I ordered the same products from another vendor and had them in my home within a week. They still won't cancel my order... Now that I know, I am proceeding through my credit card company
Watchout! Do not order from this company. When I checked for items on their website to order the items showed being in stock. They mis-lead you into ordering and charge your credit card the minute the order is placed. They shipped two items and backordered 5 items from my order. I tried calling them but you can't talk to anyone. They make sure of it. The only way to correspond with them is leaving a message on their general mailbox and hoping someone contacts you to let you know the status of your order. I have been trying to get my backordered items now for over a month. I should have cancelled, but they send e-mails saying the items are coming in on certain dates and they don't. So, they keep stringing me on to believe that I'm getting the rest of my order within a few days and then change to a new date when the day passes without any items being shipped. Man...I wish I would have seen this website before shipping. I will start checking companies out before I order from them. Again...order from someone else. I know the name is cool, but that's about it. Steer clear from them. Btw I have found other companies that are about 15-20% lower in prices, so do your research. Good luck!
Order was placed Nov. 3, 2017. Credit card was charged . Sent over six emails to their online "Wizard". Today it is Feb. 13, 2017. Never had a response, nor received the products. No physical person to talk to. Never dealt with an on-line business like this!
Ordered 5 items on Oct. 6.
One arrived promptly, the rest never came - it is Dec.11.
Wrote three times, no response.
What will it take?
Thank you for the suggestion to file a dispute with my cc company, as I'm having the same terrible experience!
I have had the same experience. Placed my first (and last) order with them almost a month ago with a very similar experience. You cannot get a hold of a live person via phone and they do not provide any communication on the status of one's order. It is UNACCEPTABLE that I should wait so long and not know the status. I had to order the items from elsewhere because MotherNature.com was taking so long. TERRIBLE company.
Deceptive and Fraudulant Trade Practices
Well what can I say as the rest of you haven't already stated in your complaints. To sum it up I would advise to stay away from this company and its affiliates. Not only are their practices deceptive but also fraudulent as well. I purchased a case of Arnica gel for my business and several incenses bundles. The ordered was processed on 3-7-11 and was suppose to be shipped out that day. The notes clearly indicated that the shipment was sent out 3-7-11 yet I did not receive shipping confirmation as they so claimed by email. A week later I become increasingly concerned since I did not have items in hand. I tried to contact them by their 1800 customer service number. To no avail the CSR's refused or failed to give me shipping information on my ordered and so I was forced to comply with sending a email through their automated email system. Not only was this a joke since no one bothered to answer but was a waste of time. Two days of waiting from 3-13 to 3-15 (excluding Sunday). I sent in another request on the 15th in the evening. Even though it states that someone will respond to your email in one service day. I decided no one was going to get back to me so I called their 1800 number again. The first CSR stated she didn"t have information on the order and to use the email system. I expressed I wanted to speak to a manager or supervisor she said she would take down my number and that someone should call back in ten to fifteen minutes if not might be within the next day. Every time I asked for a supervisor I was told that they were in a meeting or unavailable. After being lead around on a leash I decided to do search for an alternate number for mothernature.com. Also they are a affiliate of vitanet.com. I also found a lot of complainants from this web site as well. I thought to myself great, now here comes the hassle. I found several other numbers but same prompts to go to the email system. I had enough waited for a csr to answer then demanded a manager to speak with. She asked me what my problem was and I told her twice what it was. She was very patronizing in her tone and extremely rude how she addressed my concerns. She told me I didn't need a manager to give out shipping information that was a CSR's job. I told her well you need to do your job then don't you? Also since I sent in a second request on the 15th via email on the status of my order my email got moved to the bottom of the pile for review. She complained that she had 24 pages of emails to go through. I told it wasn't my problem and that she and others needed to do their job effectively. Apparently she did not like that response and got irate. She informed me that my shipment was still at the warehouse and it had not been shipped at all. So what she was telling me that my package was awaiting shipment for nearly 8 days? I told her how much longer was I going to wait on my order since after I already paid for it. She said she didn't know. I told her this was inexcusable and I wanted to cancel my order. The CSR stated that since my order was processed and shipped to the warehouse I could not cancel my order. I was like yes you can and will let me speak to a manager or supervisor. The CSR claimed she would send me out a shipping confirmation via email when she researched why the package was not sent out. She continued to argue with me and I told her there was no point in arguing to simply send me to a manager. I got a supervisors voice mail and have yet to hear from that manager but did receive a email from a tatiana AT maturenature.com though.
tatiana writes:
We are not typically able to cancel your order once it has been sent to the warehouse for processing but the warehouse was able to cancel your order.
I also submitted a refund request to the accounting department for review and approval. Your refund will be processed in the order in which it is received by the accounting department. Please allow 1-2 billing cycles for the credit to appear on your credit card statement depending on your bank.
I responded back with this:
Tatiana,
You've have got to be kidding me one to two billing cycles? It should take an average of three to five business days to refund money. You're telling me that it will take one to two months before I will see a credit on my bank statement? It may be only $54.54 to you but that's my hard earned money and I want it back OR you send me what I have ordered. I expected a product that I paid for in advanced to be shipped when the company says it was, not after the fact. That is why I requested that my order be canceled due to finding out it has yet to be shipped and to lack of customer service and apparently now lack of care.
Also in the notes it stated my order was shipped and a shipping confirmation had been sent to my email address (which I never received a shipping number). So now you're telling me it's on the dock at the warehouse still in limo? That is literally 8 business days my package has not been shipped sitting in a warehouse. If there was a delay in shipping I would had understood but your company misinformed me on the wear about's of my package. The order notes stated it was shipped and processed. That was the reasoning of finding out where my package was. I was worried about some neighbor stealing my package, being delivered elsewhere or UPS or Fedex not delivering the package at my location at all. That is pure dishonesty on your companies part. Back order, pending I would had said no problem. Just as long as I was kept in the loop so I could look out for my parcel.
This all could of been resolved on Monday or Tuesday if someone would had responded to the request I sent in on Sunday by email. To no avail I received no assistance so I called customer service then I get sent back to the emailing system. That is why I sent in another request Tuesday night and at that point I wasn't too pleased. Also your CSR stated that she had something like 24 pages of emails and I shouldn't of sent in another request because it was placed on the bottom of the pile? Honestly, unacceptable plus you need to fix your system and how you deal with customers that have already placed orders. People no longer want to deal with the corporate mentality of doing business. A email does not constitute what can be found out in a matter of minutes through a live conversation. Unfortunately I had to demand a supervisor or a manger before your CSR gave me information on the order. Your emailing system is cutting corners and is not effective. You are loosing business.
Out of all the years I have purchased products from your company this has been the worst experience. What happened? Your company used to be fast and efficient at shipping out products and I never had any complaints until now. I go to look up an alternate number for customer service this afternoon and see a slew of complaints via the internet. Needless to say its disappointing to say the least finding out about a company I enjoyed doing business with now has a lot of complaints similar if not exactly what I am going through.
I will make certain that fellow massage therapists, chiropractors and clients (which I have referred in the past) know of my bad experience.
Please make sure that you do pass this on to your supervisor and managers. The lack of customer service or care has lost yet another MotherNature.com customer.

You may want to re read the information because there is no restocking fee on an order that has not even been shipped, that is in reference to an order that is returned for no reason.
Your order is being refunded on Friday of this week.
Should you need anything further please just let us know,
Thank you
Will let you know if I get my refund back asap or not.
Buyer Beware!
Here's the deal: If anyone has had problems with this company go tot he FTC (Federal Trade Commission) or your attorney general to complain. Refuse to back down. It's you money! You deserve to get your product when promised or a full refund immediately! My money doesn't go to companies that do not care about their customers and only care about their bottom line. What mothernature.com have done to others and myself are fraudulent and deceptive. They certainly deserve to be run out of business. Bad news gets around faster than good news.
Yeah, mothernature.com might have cheap prices but is it worth the drama to take that chance? Think about it before you buy from them.

I wish I had seen your comment before I ordered from them. Took them over a month to send part of my order. Meanwhile I've gotten a charge for full amount from Discover, I tell them to take off the amount of the missing shipment, but still ship it out to me and bill me when I get it. Tatiana cancels order and tells me same garbage she told you, it'll take 1 to 2 billing cycles. I'll be calling Discover. Thanks for the idea of calling the FTC. By the way, I ordered from drugstore.com and the order came within a week, not as great a selection, but who cares.

BAD COMPANY
I placed an order Monday, January 24th. Just a few products totaling about $50. Everything was listed as being "in stock" and would ship out promptly. It's now Wednesday, February 2nd, more than a week later, and nothing has shipped. They keep putting me off in their email communication, saying it will ship the next day. Then the shipping date is rescheduled. This has happened several times. In the meantime, they've billed my credit card. This is not a company I would do business with ever again, nor would I recommend them to anyone else.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I've placed a large order on this site in October of 2011 and have not received any of my products. I have called and emailed dozens of times and still no response or products. This site is a scam, don't order from them!
I had a good experience with them ordering vitamins and my daily body products. The delivery was accurate, no problems at all.
Well it's been two years and I never recieved the products that I purchased that were on "backorder". Buyer beware. These people are snakes.
Five weeks later, no merchandise and no contact from them. They did charge my credit card immediately, though. You can't speak to a customer service rep-all business has to be conducted via email. Won't do business with them again.
My email complaints were ignored by them as well. When I did get an email response, it was curt and rude.
Terrible customer service - lost order
This website is TERRIBLE. DO NOT give them your money. I ordered two items almost a MONTH ago, and they are lost. I cannot contact a REAL PERSON by phone, and when I fill-out their online contact form, I only get a generic response by email from a computer. Their online form to report a "Lost Order" doesn't even work! It says, "to report an order as lost, use the drop-down menu next to the item and select Lost Order." BUT - there is NO drop-down menu on the entire page! You can't even send them an email very easily - their website makes contacting them difficult ON PURPOSE. DO NOT order from MotherNature.com. If there is a problem with your order, you cannot contact anyone and you will not get your money back.
Made 51.05 worth of purchases. Agreed upon amount was 51.05 when submitting credit card info. Received email receipt and confirmation of purchase confirming 51.05. My credit card company was charged 65.59. Contacted company and they were very rude saying that they tacked on extra charges because it was going to a PO box. They can't just charge what they want after the purchase has been made. They refused to amend the charges OR cancel my order. Theives! Never Again! They used to be a good company - I have done business with them for 10 years. Maybe they changed management. Buyer Beware.
I have ordered from this company in the past and had no problems with my orders, although I thought their delivery times were rather slow (3-4wks). I have not received my last order placed in 10/2011. Two emails to their "customer service" have gone unanswered I did fine a NY phone number and was able to leave a message after several attempts. I am disputing the charge, (which
promptly posted on my Discover statement). I found this company originally thru ebates.com and am posting there the poor service I've received.
I placed the order for 2 jars of Really Raw honey on Oct.30. My credit card was charged full amount of $49.96 on the same day. I also created website account at the time I placed my order. One week later when I tried to track my order I was not able to log on at all. The website does not recognize my e-mail address and does not give me another option to track my order using my order number I was given on Oct 30. The merchant is totally impossible to get in touch via phone and have not answered my 2 e-mails. At the same time the phone lines are wide open for business to place new orders, but not to track existing orders. One month later I still have not received my order and have not heard from MotherNature.com at all. It looks like this merchant is a crook. Be aware!
I have dealt with this company for several years, and always had good success until my last several orders. My last order was placed on November 6, 2011 and they charged my credit card on November 8, 2011. That was almost 2 months ago and they still have not shipped out my order. I just checked the status, and it's showing that the warehouse is still "processing" the order.
They've done this with previous orders also... They wait until you start making inquires before attempting to make the shipment. Maybe they're hoping that the consumer has forgotten about it.
Most companies do not charge a credit card until time of shipment.
This company charges your credit card immediately.
Then they wait for you to contact them about the missing order.
My complaints about MotherNature.com:
1. They Charge credit card immediately.
2. Not sending things ordered for several months.
3. Not sending things ordered until after inquiry.
4. No way to talk to Customer Service. (must do all correspondence on their website. Maybe they'll post a response, maybe they won't...)
5. Has become undependable in processing orders.
I purchased some eyedrops that were advertised as available on the site on August 10, 2011 in the total amount of $48:00 and paid using PayPal. After weeks of not receiving the prodcalled their products I emailed their Customer Service. I did not receive a reply until about 2 wks later. "Tatiana" informed that she was sorry but they no longer had the product in stock and they will send me a refund within 2 weeks. That was back in September of 2011. Uptill now, I have not received the refund and probably never will, Customer Service no longer reply to my emails, their 800 number does not work, but they are still offering new items for sale on their site. MOTHERNATURE.COM IS SCAM, SCAM SCAM! Stay away from this site. I have already reported them to BBB.
I placed an order on 9/13/11 for products totalling $53.36. My credit card was immediately charged but no confirmation email was sent. I sent a message thru THEIR website customer service (the only way to reach them since there is no number anywhere on the site) on 9/19/11 asking for the status of my order. I did not receive a reply. On 9/21/11, I sent another message thru their customer service site requesting a refund. As of today, 9/26/11, no reply, no refund. Other sites that I have ordered from #1, send a confirmation email of my order, #2 have a telephone number to call if needed, #3, promptly acknowledge messages sent thru their system, #4 refund $$ quickly. Not this site. I will never use them again and I urge you not to as well. If I do not receive my refund in 10 days of my request, I will contact my bank account and file a dispute to get it back that way.
"Ordered a product (advertised as "available now" on 10/12/11. Mothernature.com took $49.09 from my bank account on 10/13/11. Although they are still advertising this product as "available now", they have not shipped. You cannot reach them by telephone. You get a recorded msg that refers you to their website. They do not respond promptly, if at all, to e-mails. They claimed they couldn't ship, but also couldn't cancel the order. They finally agreed to refund my money but claim that it may take an additional 2 months for me to get the refund "depending upon how quickly my bank processes. I still have no refund. I have had to contact the New York Dept of Consumer Affairs for assistance. They are investigating too and still no product, no refund. "
Ordered items four weeks ago from their website. Have received nothing. You cannot reach a live person at their phone number. The phone recording directs you to seek help from the website. The website has a place to complain or ask questions about your order, but no one has responded to two different emails from me. They simply don't care. According to other complaints here, it seems they are known for being unreasonably slow to ship, and there is no customer service to explain where the order is or when/if you will receive it. Don't bother ordering from them.
Ordered items, after a week sent email asking what's the hold up. Email 3 days letter from Tatiana, waiting on one item, do you want to have us send out what we have? Yes, if there's no charge. Message from Tatiana 3 days later states they're sending it out. Took over a month to get it. More than one item missing. Write to Tatiana, meanwhile Discover card sends bill with entire amount posted. I ask mothernature to remove charge for missing items and rebill when I receive them. She writes back 3 days later she cancelled order and I'll get credit in 1 to 2 billing cycles. Stay away from this company. Drugstore.com is a much better company.
I ordered several items from mothernature.com in early August. My credit card was charged for the full amount and a partial shipment was sent. A month later, the remaining items were still on backorder. I canceled my order and was told it would take two months to issue a refund. It is now December and no refund has appeared. A reminder email at the end of September was acknowledged with an apology and the same two month criterion for a refund was mentioned. Another reminder at the end of November has not been acknowledged. As others have said, there is no way to contact a person via customer service. I will not order from them again. Thankfully my loss is small.
Takes forever to ship items
Mothernature.com has great products for good prices, but they are very slow to mail items. This is the second time they have waited 2 weeks or more to ship my order. I tried cancelling the order because I needed the vitamins asap, but they say it's "in process" and can't be cancelled.
The last time I complained after waiting 3 weeks, and they were very glib in their answer. They never communicate if a shipment will be late, but I suspect they hold an order waiting for one item because they are too cheap to do separate mailings. Boo!
DONT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU CAN WAIT 4 WKS TO GET YOUR PACKAGE. DONT DO THE FEDEX OPTION. IT TOOK A WEEK AND HALF TO GET MY FEDEX 2 DAY PKG. RIP OFF! I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. THIS COMPANY MUST BE RUN OUT OF A CUBILE IN A 1 BDRM APT. ORDERING FROM ANOTHER COMPANY. ** DONT PURCHASE HERE.

I agree - this website's customer service is AWFUL. They have lost my order which I placed a month ago. Yet - I cannot contact ANYONE by phone - all their phone numbers only go to a recording which hangs up on you after it tells you to visit their site for help. Yet - their site sucks too! You can't email anyone because they make it difficult on purpose. Do NOT order from MotherNature.com because you will likely NEVER get your order and you can't even talk to anyone about your problems. They are a TERRIBLE company.

Placed order and didn't receive all items but charged for the full order. I have contacted them for months to get my refund and told I would get but still have not received it 6 months later. I decided to file a complaint with the Attorney General office. I hope they do something to put this company out of business.
I'm still waiting on my $67 order placed on Oct.3 it is now Dec.17. I can't believe they are allowed to run a website. I will now dedicate my time to get this company shut down. Take a look at their facebook page.
I ordered from them on October 22nd...it is now November 10th, they have my money and I have had NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. I have emailed repeatedly and have not had any response. The phone number directs you to the website..NO HELP! No product and now I am out $89.00. I will NEVER order from these people again. #162268 is my order number.
Credit Card was charged $123 on the day I placed the order. A month later - still no product - and no way to talk to anyone. If you call the 800 number they tell you operators can only take new orders. All complaints and issues must be handled through the website but when you click on report a complaint it doesn't work. There is no way to talk to someone via email or chat or anything.
My card was charged the day I ordered, and now 2 weeks later, I have received nothing. I have been unable to get any help via the phone (everything automated) or online (no response to email inquiries).
I wish I would have known the reviews on this company before ordering. You would think if it comes up with positive marks on Amazon, it would be a legitimate shopping site. WRONG!
I made an online purchase at Mothernature.com with a total or $67.61 only to find an email stating they charged me $118.51 They charged my charge card without my knowledge so beware and do not trust this company! You can not call them because it is an automated system that continually loops you to their website information. I will have to track down my charge card company instead and hopefully have them help me. Nightmare!
You put 14 dollars of product on "backorder" that I never received. It's two years later and it's still on backorder. So you are lying. Nothing was honored. You only sent part of the order.
Hey, guys, did you notice they have a photo of Dr. Oz on their facebook page. I just emailed Dr. Oz. Doubt he endorses this crooked company. Maybe if enough of us email Dr. Oz about his photo being on this fraudulent company's facebook page, he'll do something about it via network television. Looks like they plucked the photo from the Oz website and plopped it on their facebook page.
Check out their Facebook page. No, I am not a facebook member. They even have Dr. Oz under LIKE. Maybe HE can do something. I emailed Dr. Oz about this company. Would be nice if he could make a big stink about it on his network show. Doubt he endorsed this company. Looks like they took his photo off the web and popped it onto their facebook page. All of us who have had problems with this fraudulent company should contact him. I was lucky. Mine was a small order they never sent. I contacted my credit card company and was issued a credit.
Is there anything we can do about this company? There are complaints all over the internet, but they are apparently still up and running. I ordered in April 2011 and gave them a lot of time to send the products. Finally I started writing them about it in November, and we exchanged pointless messages (in each one they promised my refund in 7-14 business days) until they just stopped responding. They seem to be getting away with doing this to a LOT of people without repercussions.
