Trailer hitch
l recently hired a car trailer from a ampol service station drove from caboolture to south side of Brisbane loaded a small car on and proceeded to drive home it had a different hitch one that I never seed before apparently from the states. Proceeded to drive home and trailer hitch came off and dinted my tailgate. brakes locked on. Rang Moveyourself only to get answering service on help there had to call a tow truck and cost $1250 to get car and trailer home no compensation or appolagy from trailer company.
Recommendation: Don’t hire
No help or communication or Compensation
Terrible Experience with Move Yourself: Rude Customer Service and Long Wait Times
So, I recently had an experience with Move Yourself and I gotta say, it wasn't the best. You know when you're trying to install some new software and things just go haywire? Well, that's exactly what happened when I tried to book a trailer through their website. Somehow, the trailer locations got all mixed up with another site. Now, I don't think it's my fault as the hirer, but the way they spoke to us about it was just plain rude.
To make matters worse, we had to wait for over 1.5 hours at the site just to hire the item. I mean, seriously? That's a long time to wait, especially when you're on a tight schedule. It was a total disgrace. And you know what's even more disappointing? They didn't even offer us a discount or an apology for the inconvenience. Talk about bad customer service.
I've decided that I'll be taking my future business elsewhere. There are plenty of other companies out there that actually value their customers and provide better service. So, Move Yourself, you can say goodbye to my business. Thanks, but no thanks.
Safety Concerns with Move Yourself Trailers: Prompt Customer Service, but Faulty Sockets Pose Risks
I recently booked a trailer from Move Yourself, but unfortunately, it didn't connect properly to my standard towball. It was quite frustrating, to be honest. However, they were quick to respond when I contacted their customer service. They were actually pretty good about it and offered to change the trailer for me at no additional cost. That's why I'm giving them two stars instead of just one.
The first trailer they gave me had a socket that was frayed, so only one indicator worked. Not ideal, right? Then, when I tried the second socket, it didn't work at all. Thankfully, the third socket was okay and everything seemed to be functioning properly. It's a good thing I checked all the lights before hitting the road.
I think Move Yourself should really do an audit on their trailers at Caltex Sunbury. It's quite dangerous if customers are given trailers with broken sockets. People might forget to check all their lights, and that could lead to accidents. Safety should always be a top priority, especially when it comes to towing trailers.
Overall, I appreciate the prompt response from Move Yourself's customer service and their willingness to switch trailers for me. However, they really need to ensure that all their trailers are in proper working condition before renting them out. It's a small detail that can make a big difference in terms of safety.
Decent Trailer with Minor Issues: Move Yourself Horse Float Rental Review
I recently rented a double horse float from Move Yourself (moveyourself.com.au) and overall, it was a decent trailer considering the price. However, there were a couple of issues that I encountered. Firstly, the lock pin and tailgate spring were damaged, which was a bit disappointing.
When I returned the trailer, I faced a challenge as I was given a narrow gap to reverse into. To make matters worse, I had to unlock four other trailers just to extend the chain and lock up the float. It would have been great if there was some assistance available at the service station for hitching and unhitching the trailer.
Despite these inconveniences, I must say that the customer service provided by the hire company was brilliant and very helpful. It's just a shame that the service station passes the responsibility onto others instead of providing assistance themselves.
All in all, if you're looking for an affordable trailer, Move Yourself is worth considering. Just be prepared for some minor issues and don't expect much help at the service station.
Frustrating Deposit Delay and Lack of Cleanliness: Move Yourself Ute Review
The ute that I rented from Move Yourself did the job, but I must say it was quite filthy and hadn't been vacuumed in quite some time. Despite that, it managed to get the job done.
Now, here's where my frustration comes in. Move Yourself decided to hold onto my $250.00 deposit for a whopping 5 days, even though there were no issues with my hire. I mean, seriously?
So, I decided to give them a call and see what the deal was. The guy on the Help Desk had the audacity to try and blame the delay on "the banks." I mean, come on! As someone who has worked in banking, I can confidently say that the delay is not on "the banks," but rather on Move Yourself themselves.
It's just frustrating when companies try to shift the blame onto others instead of taking responsibility for their own actions. I understand that delays happen, but it would have been nice if Move Yourself had been more upfront about it instead of trying to pass the buck.
Overall, the ute did what it was supposed to do, but the cleanliness left much to be desired. And the whole deposit situation just left a sour taste in my mouth. I hope Move Yourself takes this feedback into consideration and works on improving their customer service and communication.
Disappointing Experience with Move Yourself: Frustrating Check-In, Misleading Trailer Fitting, and Inconvenient Key Return
I had pre-booked a furniture trailer from Move Yourself for 5.30 pm. Unfortunately, the Coles Express check-in machine wasn't working properly. The young lady at the checkout seemed too busy to assist me. What was supposed to be a quick 5-minute pick-up turned into a frustrating 40-minute ordeal.
To make matters worse, the trailer fitting was not as advertised. Luckily, we had our own fitting, so we were able to make it work. However, it was disappointing that the equipment didn't match what was promised.
When it came time to return the trailer later that evening, I found the station closed with no provision for dropping off the keys. This meant I had to come back at 6 am the next morning to return the keys and avoid being charged for overtime. It was quite inconvenient and added unnecessary stress to the whole experience.
Overall, I was not satisfied with my experience with Move Yourself. The check-in process was frustrating, the trailer fitting was not as expected, and the lack of a drop-off option for the keys was inconvenient. I will definitely not be using their services again in the future.
Convenient and Hassle-Free Ute Rental with Move Yourself
I recently decided to hire a Ute with a cage from Move Yourself to assist me in moving some furniture. I found a convenient location at a Coles petrol station near my home, which made the whole process quite convenient. The pricing for a 24-hour rental was only slightly higher than the 9-hour rate, so it made perfect sense to opt for the longer duration.
Using the self-service kiosk was a breeze, although I did encounter a minor issue when returning the vehicle. Thankfully, a quick call to their 1300 number swiftly resolved the problem. The car itself was a bit on the older side and lacked a bit of pizzazz, but let's be honest, I was only using it to transport furniture, so it wasn't a major concern for me.
I must say that the customer service I received over the phone was both friendly and helpful. They were more than accommodating when I decided to change my initial 9-hour booking to a 24-hour one. Their willingness to assist me made the whole experience much smoother and hassle-free.
Overall, my experience with Move Yourself was positive. The convenience of their rental locations, the ease of using their self-service kiosk, and the helpfulness of their customer service team all contributed to a successful furniture-moving endeavor. I would definitely consider using their services again in the future.
Beware of Move Yourself: Faulty Trailers and Lack of Responsibility
I've had the opportunity to rent a trailer from Move Yourself on two separate occasions. The first time I rented it, I experienced a minor issue. Around 20 minutes into using the trailer, my brake fuse suddenly blew. At that moment, I wasn't entirely certain if the problem was caused by the trailer itself, so I decided to give it the benefit of the doubt.
However, during my second rental, a similar incident occurred. As soon as I turned on the ignition after connecting the trailer, the fuse blew again. This time, I was convinced that there was something wrong with the trailer. I promptly contacted the management at Move Yourself to report the issue and seek assistance.
To my surprise, they claimed that there was nothing wrong with the trailer. They refused to accept any responsibility for the recurring problem I was facing. Frustrated, I decided to take matters into my own hands and took my 18-month-old car back to the manufacturer for repairs.
Upon inspection, the manufacturer determined that the fault lay with the faulty brake wiring of the trailers I had rented from Move Yourself. It was disheartening to learn that the issue was not with my car, as I had initially suspected. Instead, it was directly related to the trailers I had rented.
Despite this clear evidence, Move Yourself continued to deny any responsibility for the faulty trailers. They refused to acknowledge their role in the situation or offer any form of compensation for the inconvenience and additional expenses I had incurred.
Overall, my experience with Move Yourself has been disappointing. Their unwillingness to accept responsibility for the faulty trailers and their lack of customer support has left me dissatisfied. I would caution others to be cautious when renting from this company, as they may not take responsibility for any issues that arise during the rental period.
Disappointing Experience with Move Yourself: Expensive, Poor Quality, Inconvenient Service
The trailer I hired from Move Yourself was way too expensive for what it offered. The quality of the trailer was pretty bad, and I even felt like it was on the verge of being unsafe. On top of that, the trailer's payload capacity was not clearly communicated to me when I rented it.
To make matters worse, when I went to the service station, they couldn't find a suitable cable for the trailer. It was quite frustrating because I had to waste time waiting for them to sort it out. And to add insult to injury, the service station closed at 8pm, which meant I couldn't return the trailer once I finished my job. I had to find a place to store it overnight, which was a hassle.
But that's not all! The service station didn't even allow me to keep the padlock and key so that I could return the trailer after they closed. It was such an inconvenience, and it made me question their customer service.
Overall, my experience with Move Yourself was pretty disappointing. I highly doubt I would ever use their services again, and I certainly wouldn't recommend them to anyone else.
Disastrous Hire Experience: Incompetent Staff, Faulty Vehicle, and Terrible Customer Service
I was really, really disappointed with my hire experience, like seriously disappointed. So, I rocked up at the garage around 12.40, all ready to pick up my hire ute. But guess what? The staff there were struggling big time to get the hire sorted because the ute wasn't unlocked on their system. Can you believe it? They couldn't even release the key to me! I mean, come on, it's not rocket science, right?
After a good 30 minutes of waiting and getting more and more frustrated, they finally made a phone call to moveyourself.com.au. And guess what again? They were able to give me the keys! Hallelujah! But wait, the fun doesn't stop there. I went to start the ute, and guess what? It just wouldn't go! Can you believe my luck? So, I had to trudge all the way back to the garage, and they had to call moveyourself.com.au again because they totally forgot to remotely enable the vehicle. I mean, seriously, how hard is it to remember to do that?
Finally, after what felt like a lifetime, I managed to leave with the ute. But get this, it took a whopping 45 minutes from the moment I first entered the garage! Can you imagine the frustration? I sure can.
But hold on, it gets even worse. So, I checked my bank account to see if they refunded my deposit in full. And guess what? They didn't! Can you believe it? I think they thought I did a whopping 156kms when in reality, I only did 92.8kms. I mean, seriously, did they not check the previous hire's mileage? When I got in the car, it had 63.5kms on it. And I have a sneaky suspicion that when they did the remote enabling thing, they just added the two together. How ridiculous is that?
The whole experience was just plain awful, like really, really awful. Even the guys at the independent garage said moveyourself were a total mess of a company. Can you believe it? They actually said that!
So, I thought, okay, let's try to resolve this complaint. I reached out to this guy named Xavier Bontemps at moveyourself.com.au. And let me tell you, it was the worst customer service I've had in years. This guy had the audacity to ask me to call him to discuss it! Can you believe that? I mean, talk about being uninterested and not caring at all.
So, my advice to you, my fellow humans, is to avoid, avoid, avoid moveyourself.com.au at all costs. Trust me, you don't want to go through what I went through. It's just not worth it.
Disappointing Service and Lack of Accountability from Move Yourself
I recently made a booking and paid for a car trailer on Move Yourself's website, three days in advance of when I needed it. They sent me an email with the booking number and receipt, which was all good. However, on the day of picking up the trailer, I received a text message asking me to call them. Unfortunately, my phone was on silent because I was at work.
When I finally got a chance to call them, the operator informed me that the trailer I had originally booked was suddenly unavailable. They told me to pick up a different trailer from another location and gave me the address. They said I could still use the same booking number, which was a relief.
I had initially booked the trailer for 9 hours, planning to pick it up at 1pm and return it by 10pm. So, I went to the new location to pick up the replacement trailer. However, they had no idea I was coming, so I had to sign in again on their electronic booking system. Eventually, they printed me a receipt as proof of taking the trailer, and I was able to proceed with my work.
To my surprise, when I finished my work earlier than expected, I wanted to return the trailer to the original location where I picked it up. Unfortunately, the business had closed by then. I called the place I had initially booked from, hoping they would allow me to drop it off there. However, they refused because I hadn't picked it up from them in the first place.
Feeling frustrated, I called Move Yourself again, hoping for a solution. Unfortunately, the woman I spoke to was quite rude and unhelpful. She basically told me that it was my problem and that I had to keep the trailer overnight and return it to the pick-up location at 10am the next morning. I explained to her that I had booked the trailer with the intention of returning it at 10pm on the same day. I also pointed out that it was their fault for not providing me with the trailer I had originally booked and paid for. Additionally, I mentioned that I had nowhere to store the trailer overnight. However, she continued to insist that it was my problem and that I had to keep it overnight.
Overall, I must say that I was extremely disappointed with the service I received from Move Yourself. The whole experience was disgraceful, and I will definitely not be using their services again.

Frustrating Website Navigation and Overpriced Services
I gotta say, I had a tough time figuring out how to use Move Yourself's website. It was like trying to find my way through a maze! And let's talk about the prices, man. Seventy bucks for just a four-hour hire? That's way too steep for my liking. I mean, come on, I'm just trying to move some stuff, not buy a mansion!
Inconvenient One-Way Trailer Rental Policy: 200km Drive for Pickup!
So, I was lookin' to rent a one-way trailer from Move Yourself, ya know? But guess what? They straight up told me that if I wanted one, I had to drive a whopping 200 kilometers just to pick it up! Can ya believe that? What a joke, right?
Difficulty Booking Trailer on Move Yourself's Website
I gotta say, I had a real tough time tryin' to book a trailer on Move Yourself's website. It was all sorts of confusin' that I just couldn't figure it out. Ended up throwin' in the towel and bookin' one over at trailerrentals.com.au instead.

Frustrating Experience with Move Yourself: Long Wait and Poor Customer Service
I had a bit of a frustrating experience with Move Yourself. I was waiting at a service station for a good 40 minutes because their computer was on the fritz. It was a real pain, let me tell you. And to make matters worse, when I tried to call their number for some help, I got hung up on! Can you believe it? I was not a happy camper, that's for sure.
Mixed Experience with Trailer Rental: Easy Service & Fair Price, but Trailer Maintenance Needs Improvement
Easy service and a fair price, but gotta say, the trailer was a bit of a mess. The hitch was all worn out, like it had seen better days. And don't even get me started on the wheel bearings, they had more play than a playground. And to top it all off, the brakes were a no-go. Not a great start, I must say.
Disappointing Experience with Move Yourself: Trailer Lights and Wheel Rim Issues Caused Damage
I recently used Move Yourself (moveyourself.com.au) for a move, and I have to say, I wasn't too impressed. The lights on the trailer didn't work right, which was a real pain. It made it difficult to see properly when driving, and that's not something you want when you're trying to move your stuff safely.
But that's not all. The left wheel rim was all messed up, so the trailer wobbled like crazy when it was being towed. This was a big problem, especially when it came to moving delicate items like China and glass. Even though I made sure to secure everything properly, the wobbling caused some serious damage. It's really frustrating when you take precautions and still end up with broken stuff.
Overall, I have to say I was disappointed with Move Yourself. The issues with the lights and the wheel rim really put a damper on the whole moving experience. Moving is already stressful enough as it is, and dealing with these problems just added unnecessary hassle. I expected better from a professional moving service.
I hope Move Yourself takes these issues seriously and works on improving their equipment. Moving is a big deal, and customers deserve to have a smooth and problem-free experience. I wouldn't recommend Move Yourself based on my own experience, but maybe they'll step up their game in the future.
Disappointing Experience with Move Yourself: Lack of Straps, Inadequate Platform, and Unhelpful Staff
I gotta say, I was pretty disappointed with Move Yourself. They seriously need to give some warnings before you go ahead and book with them. First of all, they don't provide any straps to secure your vehicle on their platform. Like, seriously? How am I supposed to transport my car safely without any straps? It's just plain ridiculous.
And that's not all. Their platform is a total letdown too. It's not designed to accommodate any modern vehicles. The ramps are way too short, and the platform sits way too tall. I mean, come on, Move Yourself, get with the times! How am I supposed to load my car onto that thing if it's not even designed for modern vehicles? It's just a waste of time and money.
But wait, it gets even worse. The staff at Move Yourself don't know a thing. Seriously, they're clueless. I had some questions about the whole process, and they couldn't give me any helpful answers. It's like they have no idea what they're doing. If you're gonna run a business like this, at least have knowledgeable staff who can assist customers properly.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend Move Yourself to anyone. They need to step up their game and fix these major issues. It's just not worth the hassle and frustration. Save yourself the trouble and find a better moving service. Trust me, you'll thank me later.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Move Yourself: A Review
I recently had an experience with Move Yourself and I must say, it was quite disappointing. The whole process started off on the wrong foot when we encountered an unhelpful attendant at the Shell station. Instead of providing clear instructions on what needed to be done, she rudely exclaimed that we had to login to collect the trailer at the side. Talk about a lack of customer service!
But the disappointment didn't end there. When my husband went to collect the trailer connection, he too was met with rudeness from the same attendant. It's really disheartening when you're trying to get things done and you're met with such unfriendly behavior.
Despite these setbacks, we were determined to make our move happen. We managed to collect the trailer and get everything loaded up. The trailer itself was in decent condition and seemed sturdy enough for our belongings. It was a relief to see that at least one aspect of our experience with Move Yourself was satisfactory.
The actual moving process went relatively smoothly. We were able to transport our belongings without any major issues. The trailer held up well during the journey, which was a relief considering the initial negative encounter we had with the attendant.
Overall, while our experience with Move Yourself had its fair share of hiccups, we were able to complete our move successfully. It's just a shame that we had to deal with unhelpful and rude staff members along the way. Moving is already a stressful process, and encountering such behavior only adds to the frustration.
I hope that Move Yourself takes customer feedback seriously and addresses the issue of their staff's attitude. It's important to remember that good customer service can make or break a business. I would recommend Move Yourself to others, but with the caveat that they should be prepared for the possibility of encountering unhelpful staff members.
Mixed Bag Experience with Move Yourself: Trailer Socket Issues and Helpful Service, but Inconvenient Repairs
So, I recently had an experience with Move Yourself and I gotta say, it was a bit of a mixed bag. You see, the socket on the trailer I rented was all busted up, which was a major bummer. But hey, life happens, right?
Luckily, the service station dude I talked to was super understanding and helpful. He really showed some sympathy for my situation, which was a relief. And when I called up the call centre the next day to report the problem, they really took charge and tried to sort things out for me. Gotta give 'em credit for that.
But here's the thing, even with all their efforts, I still ended up having to do some janky repair work on the trailer. I mean, who wants to spend a couple of hours rewiring a trailer at midnight? Definitely not me, that's for sure.
Overall, I appreciate the effort Move Yourself put in to fix the problem, but it was still a major inconvenience for me. It would've been nice if the trailer was in better shape to begin with, ya know? But hey, at least the service station guy and the call centre folks were there to lend a hand.
So yeah, if you're thinking about using Move Yourself, just be prepared for the possibility of some hiccups along the way. It's not a perfect experience, but hey, life's not perfect either.
