They were on time, and worked very fast
They were on time, and worked very fast. These guys were careful with all of my things, very professional, and EXTREMELY HELPFUL. I most definitely will be using them on my next move.
Exceptional Service
Exceptional Service. Was extremely impressed with this moving company and especially with my customer service agent Lisa, and with my moving team led by Almaz. They both worked miracles.
Very nice, EASY TO WORK to work with, did an excellent job! They were quick, and made moving from FL to NY SO much easier. I will definitely use them again!

This company was a nightmare, I cried when I saw my damaged furniture, not to mention the lost items, and *** just made it worse, this company put us thru hell at a very difficult time, and there was nothing we could do, they had our deposit, then didn't show for days, would not refund our deposit, had to postpone our closing, then one guy showed to move a three bedroom townhouse, with the wrong size truck saying they can't bring a 28 wheeler in, when we moved whither on. And so did all our neighbors it's a pull thru road, couldn't fit all furniture, my husband and I had to rent a storage and move rest our selfs, returning from Florida two weeks later to get rest at a higher cost , again one guy You can't make this stuff up! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! -
After calling different Movers- We hired Solomon and Sons Relocations in January. The gentleman who showed up to do the paperwork assured us that they were "professionals" - and we both took pictures of the items to be relocated.
I chose them even though they had given us the highest price, placing my trust and personals in their care. They moved ALL my belongings to Storage and 2 months later I asked them to move the items to my new location-
We moved into a new build house- floors, stair cases and walls were damaged by the carelessness of the movers. A rosewood dresser was damaged- They broke the leg of one of the formal dining room chairs into pieces (beyond repairs); destroying a set of 8; China cabinet glass was left on the table... they lost the clips.; Back of my dresser wood was ripped... He placed it strategically close to the wall and we saw that once I opened the drawer ( I took pictures of before and after)
They did not take the time to put the pieces of furniture - headboard/ drawers together- The Mattress was ripped on the side.
They rushed during the entire delivery process - leaving us on edge.
The leader kept referring to the time or we will be paying more.
The Insurance adjuster is a joke as he had the audacity to offer $10.20 as compensation to replace the chair- with an attached link for a similar used chair (not the same color) for $758.00- That means I would have to pay extra to have it stained. They offered $27.00 to fix the dresser- I called 3 different CO.
The repair of the scratch on the stairs wood will also cost a bundle... We had to call and have the walls and corners patch... Still not painted
Once S&S Relocations signed the contract and get your money- THEY DO NOT CARE_ Not a call or letter of "whatever" from "whoever"-once they closed the contract.
Moving is not easy and it is very costly so you should at least get some RESPECT.

This company broke our on replaceable family items
This company broke our on replaceable family items. Switch our items to another box knowning they were broken and still delivered our thinks like it was ok. Items were missing not delivered and I'm not getting anything from them to replace my items. Stay away from them horrible company. Could say alot more but no space.
This was such a horrible experience! There was so much damage, I had to basically replace everything in my bedroom. At our destination, they showed up in the evening (5:14pm) and therefore could not finish the move. They basically left everything sitting in our living room, leaving me and my wife to move everything into the the rooms, including things like dressers, and desks. They left our love seat standing on it's side. Virtually nothing that Solomon and Sons promised would be done, got done. Stay FAR away from them!
I am so disappointed with this company. We hired them to handle our move to Miami and the entire experience was a nightmare.
*Overall communication - I was never called by SSR to inform me of the status of my move. From the beginning, I was the one who had to proactively reach out to get a status update. This proved true up until the day of the move in both the pickup and the dropoff. I was told that customer service is SSR's #1 priority - it does not seem like it is.
*Carrier pickup last minute change - From the start, I was told that SSR would be picking our items up and dropping them off. I was excited to hire a Florida company to do the job, given that I was born in Fort Lauderdale and my family has been there since *** That is also how I justified in my head paying 30% more than the other movers my company was pushing on me. I even called a week before our pickup and I was assured that SSR would be picking my goods up and it was confirmed then! The fact that I had to call to confirm the pickup date and THAT is when I learned about the change left a lot to be desired.
*Delivery estimate accuracy - When we priced the move, you stated that your average delivery time was between 4 and 7 business days. Our move ended up coming in 11 business days. The only thing I can attribute that to is the fact that SSR didn't actually move my belongings, someone else did.
*Carrier dropoff last minute change - I was told your NY based "partner" would be dropping my belongings off at SSR, who would then be delivering my goods to Coral Gables - That proved to be untrue as *** (or whoever they were) just ended up moving my stuff into my apartment LATE on a Friday afternoon.
*The move - I worked just as much as these guys; The workers would not put the boxes into the rooms - They would leave it in the living room and I had to put it in the room. My apartment is 800 SF, they could have done it. To say that it saved them time because of a deadline is a joke.
*No Masks - The workers did not wear masks when asked. I wore mine the entire time - We have a 3 month old son and I had to get the entire apartment cleaned and sanitized before bringing my family into our new home. Talk about putting people at risk.
*Assembly - The workers refused to build my furniture they took apart in NYC once everything was moved in. They told me that assembly was not included and that their boss told them that.
*Missing box - I am missing 1 wardrobe, 2 large home depot, and 2 medium home depot boxes. The estimated contents of this box are attached. Each item has an actual link to the item online to justify the cost. This is probably not covering everything but these are the most glaring things missing. This amounts to over $5k worth of stuff. The most troubling thing to me is one of those boxes had a file folder that contained about 3 years of tax documents and information for my wife and I. We are going to need credit monitoring and ID theft protection for YEARS because of this!
In the end, SSR did nothing to remedy the issues or make me whole for things THEY messed up.
Steer clear of this terrible company.

My name is ***. My lease was up on June 30th. I reserved for the 30th and signed a contract and gave them a deposit. On June 29th, in the afternoon, they called me and canceled. They didn't explain why they just refunded the deposit.

Call someone else! We used Solomon and sons moving company in May for our long distance move from Florida to Texas. Received a quote from several companies over the phone, this company quoted us the least, so we went with them. Moving day comes and the lead mover tells us we were drastically over our expected weight/cost, even though when speaking to Bob (?) on the phone, I did not under sell the amount of things we needed to move (because I wanted a realistic price). Bottom line, Bob told us what we wanted to hear and in the end we ended up paying over $4k more than the original quote. We paid close to $8k in all for a 3 bedroom house. The company did nothing on their end to help with this unexpected rise in price, but take off $150 for packaging.

Solomon & Sons Relocation has really made me change my thoughts about moving companies
Solomon & Sons Relocation has really made me change my thoughts about moving companies. I have had horrible experiences with each and every moving company before that when Solomon & Sons Relocation helped me move I was in complete shock of the overall experience. They made it so easy for me to move, no stress what so ever and all my items were delivered in the original state before the move. I couldn't have asked for a better moving day!

Solomon and sons charged me $983.40 to do their estimate for moving they never moved me as their estimate was not acceptable
Solomon and sons charged me $983.40 to do their estimate for moving they never moved me as their estimate was not acceptable . they will continued to charge my CC after I told them I will not be using their services. all this happened on July 21 same day they asked for pictures of what they were to move to do the estimate. after having a conversation with them, and seeing the smashed moved jobs they botched, I said on the same day 7/21 I will not be using them. they then charged my CC AFTER I told them I won't be using them ! and one month later they are still trying to get me to sign a DocuSign form to charge my CC which they already charged. DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE !

The move out of my home went well
The move out of my home went well. I paid for storage for a few months and then had the furniture delivered to my new home. That's where the problems occurred. My coffee table and both end tables had chips in the wood, one of the legs on my nightstand had cracked and come off, and the back of a storage unit was partially off and had to be glued back on. In addition, several pieces of china were broken. I was not happy with the condition of my furniture. I repaired as much of the damage as I could. I was able to glue and reattach the nightstand leg. I used plastic wood, stain, and sandpaper on the chips on the coffee and end tables, but they don't look the same. They were almost new before my move.

I booked the cross country move then paid a nearly $3000 deposit
I booked the cross country move then paid a nearly $3000 deposit. I tried to update the inventory several times and no one returned my call or emails. Then some one called and said the agent had been sick which was a lie. Then 3 months later they cancelled my move with only 6 days before pickup date. They said their truck crashed which after investigation I found was a lie as well. I was left with no moving company and had to vacate the property I sold as escrow closed and we had to be out. I bought airline tickets anticipating the move dates and we had to move into a hotel as we were stranded. Their lies and deceit cost us thousands of dollars and left us stranded with no moving company. They refunded my deposit and said tough luck and left us in a real bad financial and logistic situation. No accountability, no honesty, outright lies and totally unprofessional service. We are considering a law suit against them to recover our losses. Don't use Solomon and Sons unless you like cheating, lies and being left in the dark and stranded. There should be laws against this kind of abuse and lying.
We have lived in the same house in Gainesville, FL for 17 years, and we needed to relocate to North Georgia
We have lived in the same house in Gainesville, FL for 17 years, and we needed to relocate to North Georgia. Having never moved more than a few miles before, and having heard horror stories of moves gone badly from friends and family, we were determined to work with a company that we could trust to do the job right and to adhere to the original terms of the agreement. Matt from Solomon & Sons is as professional as they come, and after an in-depth conversation covering all facets of our needs and expectations, put together a detailed quote and term sheet for the move. He was accessible throughout the process and helped guide us through what to expect, what steps would be taken, and to ensure that we were satisfied with the move as a whole. The two movers assigned to our project, Armondo and David, were professional, friendly, exceptionally hard-working, and took the time to go over each item and box with us to ensure that it was kept safe for the move. To this day I don't know how they fit so much in a 26 foot truck, but there was not a single cubic foot of space unused! Unloading at the new house was as seamless as when they packed up the truck, with every item accounted for and in good condition. If you want your move to be performed by a professional crew you can trust to get the job done on time with no hidden costs or last minute surprises, chose Solomon and Sons.

BID LOW THEN CHARGE MORE
BID LOW THEN CHARGE MORE. I told the person over the phone exactly what furniture I had to move. She wrote it down wrong then gave me the price over the phone. As soon as the mover walked in the door I could tell he wanted to charge me for something. I had my TV's already off the walls and packed the original boxes. They didn't have to do anything but move them. I could tell the one guy who charges was dragging his feet and going slow. When they went to deliver my stuff they started make up charges. Since I pointing out it was all bogus. They said I took up more then .25 space in the gigantic truck. I hardly had anything. They then sat around outside for a half an hour not doing anything while I was on the phone with the office. And then charged me for their time. I ending up paying *** to move one full bedroom, *** table and one desk. And the rest in boxes. They charge me *** to wrap two wall mirror's Oh yeah the one mover told me how *** I was the whole time. Commented on my body and at the end asked for if I would go out to dinner with him . I have children older then him. I wasn't going to say anything but now they asked me to write a review... SMH They left stuff on the truck and delivered it the next day and I think Im still missing a box. Its hard to tell but Im missing a few things so... Sad how everyone is so greedy and dishonest in the world now.

Final cost of move was $1400 above quote i contracted with this company to move us from CT to SC on June 25
Final cost of move was $1400 above quote i contracted with this company to move us from CT to SC on June 25. I was quoted a price of $3778 after going over my items verbally room to room. When the mover came he quoted us $5100. We knew there would be some flexibility in the charges but feel this amount is ridiculous. We had no recourse but to allow this since the new owners were coming in the next day. When I complained they said I had 20 more items than initially claimed. I actually had 4 more items. When I asked for a list of which items they claimed I added they did not respond. The manifest I was given was basically illegible. Also, they were supposed to drop off my furniture on July1. They came on July 6, which necessitated us to get a hotel for those additional days which we were not counting on. The sales rep was Matt Snarski. Estimate Number: PXXXXXXX. We paid via Visa.

They estimated $6,000 for move-Charged an additional $3,000-Lied about who would deliver.-Did over $4,000 damage to our belongings-paid for none of it We contacted them for an estimate to move us from Florida to Illinois. The sales rep estimated $6,000 and said that it would most likely be less. "I would rather tell you a higher number and you pay less, than the other way around." After they came and loaded our belongings on the truck, they told us it was going to be an additional $900 now and another $2,100 when they arrived and our stuff would not be delivered if it was not given in the form of a cashiers check. I was so upset, I called their office. I was told they would take care of it and not to worry. The woman said they are a family business and we take care of you like family. She sounded so sincere that I gave them the money. When they arrived in Chicago, they asked for an additional $150 on top of the $2,100. Of course they would not take our stuff off the truck until I gave them cash now for the extra. After we started to unpack, we discovered major damage and of course could not get them to return our calls or explain why the items we told them were fragile were not packed properly. And they covered none of the damage.

Company charged significantly more than their binding estimate and also failed to honor the "free two weeks storage" as advertised online
Company charged significantly more than their binding estimate and also failed to honor the "free two weeks storage" as advertised online. On 1/16, I entered into a contract with Solomon & Son Relocation Services to move my household goods from Fort Worth, TX to Matthews, NC. The move involved two pick-up locations, my residence and a storage unit about 2 miles away. I requested a pick-up date of 1/31 and a delivery date of 2/14. I first contacted Solomon & Sons Relocation Services after reading about the company on the "Retirement Living" website. The company representative told me that they did not have personnel in TX to conduct an onsite inspection, but he could give me a quote over the phone if I sent a list of my household goods. I sent him a detailed list, which included the size of my storage unit and the items at my residence (to include the approximate dimensions and weight of my larger pieces of furniture). I declined the initial estimate offered by the company representative because it was higher than a bid from another moving company. The company representative then asked me to hold and came back on the phone offering me a "senior citizens" discount which undercut the competitor's bid. I asked the company representative if this was a binding estimate and he confirmed it was. The binding estimate was $7736.71. On 1/30, the day of pick-up (one day earlier than requested), the driver conducted an onsite inspection at my residence and advised me that the quote was too low and I needed to sign an addendum for an additional amount (approximately $1200.00). He made this determination before going to the storage unit to inspect the contents there. He told me that he could not start loading my household goods until I signed the new agreement. I felt I had no choice but to sign it since my lease was up and it would be very difficult to secure another long distance mover in a two day time period. After loading all my items from both locations, the extra charges totaled $1670.99. NOTE: The driver charged me for additional supplies (13 boxes). I do not dispute that portion of the extra fees. On 2/12, I received an email from the company advising me that I now owed an additional $1254.50 for storage. I was shocked to receive a bill for another unexpected charge. I called the company and advised them that the "Retirement Living" website, stated the company offered 2 weeks free storage. I also asked why the storage fee was not included in the binding estimate. The company's customer service manager declined to discuss the matter and advised me that they would hold my household goods until I paid the additional $1254.50. In addition, the customer service manager refused to disclose where my household items were being stored, which I believe may be contrary to federal regulations. I later talked to someone in the billing department who told me that I had to pay the extra charge, but I could send a letter with my concerns for evaluation after delivery. I paid the storage fee and my items were delivered on 2/21. The same driver that picked up my items also delivered them to my new home. He told me that the items were never placed in storage, but rather remained on the truck the entire time. It was now clear to me why the customer service manager refused to provide me the location of the storage facility. This move cost me $2925.49 over the binding estimate. I'm also unclear if the driver honored the senior citizen discount that I was offered in the binding estimate dated 1/16. Furthermore, the company has failed to respond to my letter, sent (and confirmed receipt) on 2/14.
