Armishaws Removals Delivery

I was informed that Armishaws made regular deliveries to Murcia. 7 months later, several promises of delivery and lack of communication. I am still waiting. This has had a considerable cost, as I have had to purchase another bed, bedding. Winter clothes and a sofa.
I make regular calls to them however they do do not communicate. They have failed to deliver at given times. They do not reply or respond to calls or emails.

Desired outcome: Delivery date and compensation

The company turned up late on my pack up date. When packing up one of the removal men had turned on my hob on the cooker and melted plastic on the top. Number one military uniform thrown into a box not hung up. Myself and my partner had to help pack up as they seemed slow. They finished extremely late apron 10.30pm. The next day they were meant to turn up...

Armishaws Removals Harassment and breach of contract

No particular problems with removal itself, but this is not rocket science. Once they hook you on regular payments though the nightmare starts. Needed to terminate the contract after 8 (!) years of being a good customer, paying on time, not bothering with any requests whatsoever. Mission impossible - whatever I suggested in terms of handling the removal of my items from storage (fully consistent with terms and conditions we signed BTW) - declined, no reason other 'No, we will not do it" followed by silence ... until the next bill. Unprofessional, rude, violate contract terms and instead of fixing their own mess resort to threats and insults. The most recent is that they are now threatening to sue me through small claims court until I pay yet another bill, meanwhile they do not provide additional bank details I need to make a wire from outside the UK and do not give exact location of the warehouse and paperwork I need to arrange for clearance of my belongings out of their facilities. Not to mention each interaction came with some offensive remark (progressively more offensive with each email - last one accusing me of being not particularly careful with my bills - this is after I paid fully and on time for 8 years).

Stay away from these people - their website, contract, all initial interaction make them look like a real business, professional and credible. It's just a facade though - once they sign, the own you and enjoy making your life as painful as possible. Not to mention their beatifully drawn contract means zero to them - they outright refuse to follow its terms when it is not convenient for them. Incredible they are still in business.

Armishaws Removals Bad Service and rude with complaints

We are currently in dispute with Armishaws after a botched survey and move. Our problems started when the surveyor did not look in our loft and instead underestimated its volume. We were also told the packing would take a day and with three to four men to do it. So when only two workmen turned up we were a little apprehensive. Unfortunately things did not go well, and despite my family helping pack (even though we had paid for a full packing service) we were late and missed our ferry, staying at a hotel overnight. We then had to give away possessions left behind- some of which had sentimental value.

The only good thing was the delivery where we had two excellent workmen who were polite and courteous.

When I did complain I was greeted with letters that got progressively more rude and personal as time went on. The last letters of correspondence practically accused me of lying, selective memory and having an ‘agenda’ to get monetary compensation from Armishaws. All I require from Armishaws is a sincere apology about the problems they caused. However, honest apologies seem to be very difficult for them to do.

Sadly I am now starting arbitration to get my apology, and I would not recommend Armishaws based on how they deal with problems. If you can afford it, go elsewhere. In the long run you will avoid plenty of anger and heartache with your move.

Armishaws Removals Extremely rude

Be very careful when dealing with this company. They have hidden clauses in their storage contracts which means you have to pay to inspect stored goods and then pay a hefty fee if you want to remove your goods. If you decide to remove your goods using a competitor removal firm they put every obstacle in your way to prevent you doing so. In addition they are 100% more expensive than comparable services. To top it off, they are extremely rude.

I Agree with the users comment, and CARTER'S REPLY IS JUST TYPICAL OF HIS AND THIS COMPANIES ATTITUDE AND RUDENESS TOWARDS CUSTOMERS WHO COMPLAIN. Armishaws PRICE PROMISE means nothing as in Armishaws T & Cs it's overwrites anything on the headline page. Get a lawyer to look at the T & C to point out what this company will quote at you when you complain. Also you will get charged extra storage on the day of removal, with the threat of non delivery.

All charges are made clear in terms and conditions, all the charges are raised by 90% of other removal companies in the UK. All customers have a quote raised so they can see the charges. Customers which expect to just turn up one day to gain access to their goods or send a third party in without booking the day or giving the company writing permission for the third party to access their goods will be denied access. We do not have these charges and access times to be difficult it takes time and money to bring the containers forward. We store some 2000 containers at each location.
